Und ihre ganze Menge stand auf, und sie führten Ihn zu Pilatus.

LEVANTÁNDOSE entonces toda la multitud de ellos, lleváronle á Pilato.

And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.

The whole company of them rose up and brought him before Pilate.

Sie fingen aber an, Ihn zu verklagen, und sagten: Den haben wir gefunden, daß Er unsere Völkerschaft verkehrt und ihr wehrt, dem Kaiser den Schoß zu geben, indem Er sagt, Er sei Christus, ein König.

Y comenzaron á acusarle, diciendo: A éste hemos hallado que pervierte la nación, y que veda dar tributo á César, diciendo que él es el Cristo, el rey.

And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Cæsar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

They began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man perverting the nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.”

Pilatus aber fragte Ihn und sprach: Bist Du der Juden König? Er aber antwortete ihm und sprach: Du sagst es.

Entonces Pilato le preguntó, diciendo: ¿Eres tú el Rey de los Judíos? Y respondiéndole él, dijo: Tú lo dices.

And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.

Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” He answered him, “So you say.”

Pilatus aber sprach zu den Hohenpriestern und zu dem Gedränge: Ich finde keine Schuld an diesem Menschen.

Y Pilato dijo á los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y á las gentes: Ninguna culpa hallo en este hombre.

Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.

Pilate said to the chief priests and the multitudes, “I find no basis for a charge against this man.”

Sie aber bestanden darauf und sagten: Er wiegelt das Volk auf, indem Er durch ganz Judäa hin lehrt und in Galiläa angefangen hat bis hierher.

Mas ellos porfiaban, diciendo: Alborota al pueblo, enseñando por toda Judea, comenzando desde Galilea hasta aquí.

And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.

But they insisted, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee even to this place.”

Als Pilatus aber von Galiläa hörte, fragte er, ob der Mensch ein Galiläer wäre.

Entonces Pilato, oyendo de Galilea, preguntó si el hombre era Galileo.

When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilæan.

But when Pilate heard Galilee mentioned, he asked if the man was a Galilean.

Und da er erfuhr, daß Er aus des Herodes Gebiete war, schickte er Ihn hin an Herodes, der in selbigen Tagen selbst auch in Jerusalem war.

Y como entendió que era de la jurisdicción de Herodes, le remitió á Herodes, el cual también estaba en Jerusalem en aquellos días.

And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.

When he found out that he was in Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem during those days.

Herodes aber freute sich ungemein, da er Jesus sah; denn er hatte Ihn schon längst sehen wollen, weil er viel von Ihm hörte, und er hoffte, er würde ein Zeichen von Ihm sehen.

Y Herodes, viendo á Jesús, holgóse mucho, porque hacía mucho que deseaba verle; porque había oído de él muchas cosas, y tenía esperanza que le vería hacer alguna señal.

And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.

Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad, for he had wanted to see him for a long time, because he had heard many things about him. He hoped to see some miracle done by him.

Und er fragte Ihn mit vielen Worten; Er antwortete ihm aber nichts.

Y le preguntaba con muchas palabras; mas él nada le respondió:

Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.

He questioned him with many words, but he gave no answers.

Aber die Hohenpriester und die Schriftgelehrten standen und verklagten Ihn heftig.

Y estaban los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas acusándole con gran porfía.

And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.

Herodes aber mit seinen Kriegsleuten verachtete und verspottete Ihn, umkleidete Ihn mit glänzenden Anzuge, und schickte Ihn an Pilatus zurück.

Mas Herodes con su corte le menospreció, y escarneció, vistiéndole de una ropa rica; y volvióle á enviar á Pilato.

And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

Herod with his soldiers humiliated him and mocked him. Dressing him in luxurious clothing, they sent him back to Pilate.

Auf selbigen Tag wurden Pilatus und Herodes Freunde miteinander; denn zuvor waren sie in Feindschaft gegeneinander gewesen.

Y fueron hechos amigos entre sí Pilato y Herodes en el mismo día; porque antes eran enemigos entre sí.

And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.

Herod and Pilate became friends with each other that very day, for before that they were enemies with each other.

Pilatus aber rief die Hohenpriester und die Obersten und das Volk zusammen,

Entonces Pilato, convocando los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los magistrados, y el pueblo,

And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,

Und sprach zu ihnen: Ihr habt diesen Menschen vor mich gebracht, als mache Er das Volk abwendig; und siehe, ich selbst habe Ihn vor euch verhört und an diesem Menschen nichts gefunden, das Ihn dessen schuldig machte, was ihr gegen Ihn klagt;

Les dijo: Me habéis presentado á éste por hombre que desvía al pueblo: y he aquí, preguntando yo delante de vosotros, no he hallado culpa alguna en este hombre de aquéllas de que le acusáis.

Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:

and said to them, “You brought this man to me as one that perverts the people, and behold, having examined him before you, I found no basis for a charge against this man concerning those things of which you accuse him.

Herodes aber auch nicht; denn ich schickte euch an ihn, und siehe, Er hat nichts dargetan, was des Todes wert wäre.

Y ni aun Herodes; porque os remití á él, y he aquí, ninguna cosa digna de muerte ha hecho.

No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him.

Neither has Herod, for I sent you to him, and see, nothing worthy of death has been done by him.

Darum will ich Ihn züchtigen und losgeben.

Le soltaré, pues, castigado.

I will therefore chastise him, and release him.

Es war aber Not, daß er ihnen auf das Fest einen losgebe.

Y tenía necesidad de soltarles uno en cada fiesta.

(For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)

Now he had to release one prisoner to them at the feast.

Sie aber schrien in ganzer Menge und sagten: Nimm diesen weg, gib uns aber Barabbas los!

Mas toda la multitud dió voces á una, diciendo: Quita á éste, y suéltanos á Barrabás:

And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:

But they all cried out together, saying, “Away with this man! Release to us Barabbas!”—

Dieser aber war wegen eines Aufstandes, so in der Stadt geschah, und eines Mordes wegen ins Gefängnis geworfen.

(El cual había sido echado en la cárcel por una sedición hecha en la ciudad, y una muerte.)

(Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)

one who was thrown into prison for a certain revolt in the city, and for murder.

Pilatus rief nun abermals ihnen zu und wollte Jesus losgeben.

Y hablóles otra vez Pilato, queriendo soltar á Jesús.

Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them.

Then Pilate spoke to them again, wanting to release Jesus,

Sie aber riefen ihm zu und sprachen: Kreuzige, kreuzige Ihn!

Pero ellos volvieron á dar voces, diciendo: Crucifícale, crucifícale.

But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.

but they shouted, saying, “Crucify! Crucify him!”

Er aber sprach zum drittenmal zu ihnen: Was hat denn Dieser Böses getan? Ich habe keine Todesschuld an Ihm gefunden, darum will ich Ihn züchtigen und losgeben.

Y él les dijo la tercera vez: ¿Pues qué mal ha hecho éste? Ninguna culpa de muerte he hallado en él: le castigaré, pues, y le soltaré.

And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.

He said to them the third time, “Why? What evil has this man done? I have found no capital crime in him. I will therefore chastise him and release him.”

Sie aber lagen ihm an mit lauten Stimmen und baten, daß Er gekreuzigt würde. Und ihre und der Hohenpriester Stimmen wurden immer stärker.

Mas ellos instaban á grandes voces, pidiendo que fuese crucificado. Y las voces de ellos y de los príncipes de los sacerdotes crecían.

And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.

But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. Their voices and the voices of the chief priests prevailed.

Pilatus aber urteilte, daß nach ihrer Bitte geschehen sollte.

Entonces Pilato juzgó que se hiciese lo que ellos pedían;

And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.

Pilate decreed that what they asked for should be done.

Er gab aber den los, der wegen Aufstand und Mord ins Gefängnis geworfen war, um den sie baten; Jesus aber übergab er ihrem Willen.

Y les soltó á aquél que había sido echado en la cárcel por sedición y una muerte, al cual habían pedido; y entregó á Jesús á la voluntad de ellos.

And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

He released him who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, for whom they asked, but he delivered Jesus up to their will.

Und da sie Ihn abführten, erfaßten sie einen Simon von Kyrene, der vom Felde kam, und legten ihm das Kreuz auf, daß er es hinter Jesus hertrüge.

Y llevándole, tomaron á un Simón Cireneo, que venía del campo, y le pusieron encima la cruz para que la llevase tras Jesús.

And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.

When they led him away, they grabbed one Simon of Cyrene, coming from the country, and laid the cross on him to carry it after Jesus.

Es folgte Ihm aber eine große Menge des Volkes und Weiber nach, welche jammerten und um Ihn klagten.

Y le seguía una grande multitud de pueblo, y de mujeres, las cuales le lloraban y lamentaban.

And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.

A great multitude of the people followed him, including women who also mourned and lamented him.

Jesus aber wandte Sich um zu ihnen und sprach: Ihr Töchter von Jerusalem! Weinet nicht über Mich; weinet vielmehr über euch selbst und über eure Kinder.

Mas Jesús, vuelto á ellas, les dice: Hijas de Jerusalem, no me lloréis á mí, mas llorad por vosotras mismas, y por vuestros hijos.

But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.

But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.

Denn siehe, es kommen Tage, in denen sie sagen werden: Selig sind die Unfruchtbaren und die Leiber, die nicht geboren, und die Brüste, die nicht gesäugt haben.

Porque he aquí vendrán días en que dirán: Bienaventuradas las estériles, y los vientres que no engendraron, y los pechos que no criaron.

For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.

For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.’

Dann werden sie anfangen und zu den Bergen sagen: Fallet über uns! und zu den Hügeln: Bedecket uns!

Entonces comenzarán á decir á los montes: Caed sobre nosotros: y á los collados: Cubridnos.

Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

Then they will begin to tell the mountains, ‘Fall on us!’ and tell the hills, ‘Cover us.’

Denn wenn sie solches tun am grünen Holz, was will mit dem dürren werden?

Porque si en el árbol verde hacen estas cosas, ¿en el seco, qué se hará?

For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?

For if they do these things in the green tree, what will be done in the dry?”

Es wurden aber auch zwei andere, Übeltäter, hingeführt, daß sie mit Ihm umge- bracht würden.

Y llevaban también con él otros dos, malhechores, á ser muertos.

And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.

There were also others, two criminals, led with him to be put to death.

Und als sie an den Ort hinkamen, den man heißt Schädelstätte, kreuzigten sie Ihn allda und die Übeltäter, den einen zur Rechten, den anderen aber zu Linken.

Y como vinieron al lugar que se llama de la Calavera, le crucificaron allí, y á los malhechores, uno á la derecha, y otro á la izquierda.

And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.

When they came to the place that is called “The Skull”, they crucified him there with the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left.

Jesus aber sprach: Vater, vergib ihnen; denn sie wissen nicht, was sie tun. Sie zerteilten aber Seine Kleider und warfen das Los darum.

Y Jesús decía: Padre, perdónalos, porque no saben lo que hacen. Y partiendo sus vestidos, echaron suertes.

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.

Und das Volk stand da und schaute zu; die Obersten aber mit ihnen spotteten Ihn auch aus und sagten: Andere hat Er gerettet; Er rette Sich selber; so Dieser ist Christus, der Auserwählte Gottes.

Y el pueblo estaba mirando; y se burlaban de él los príncipes con ellos, diciendo: A otros hizo salvos: sálvese á sí, si éste es el Mesías, el escogido de Dios.

And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.

The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen one!”

Aber auch die Kriegsknechte verspotteten Ihn, kamen herzu und brachten Ihm Essig herbei,

Escarnecían de él también los soldados, llegándose y presentándole vinagre,

And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,

Und sprachen: Wenn Du der Juden König bist, so rette Dich selber!

Y diciendo: Si tú eres el Rey de los Judíos, sálvate á ti mismo.

And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.

Es war aber auch eine Überschrift über Ihm, geschrieben in griechischer, lateinischer und hebräischer Schrift: Dies ist der Juden König.

Y había también sobre él un título escrito con letras griegas, y latinas, y hebraicas: ESTE ES EL REY DE LOS JUDIOS.

And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Einer aber der Übeltäter, die gehängt waren, lästerte Ihn und sprach: Wenn Du der Christus bist, so rette Dich Selbst und uns.

Y uno de los malhechores que estaban colgados, le injuriaba, diciendo: Si tú eres el Cristo, sálvate á ti mismo y á nosotros.

And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.

One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, “If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!”

Der andere aber antwortete, und bedrohte ihn und sagte: Fürchtest du dich nicht vor Gott, der du doch in gleicher Verurteilung bist?

Y respondiendo el otro, reprendióle, diciendo: ¿Ni aun tú temes á Dios, estando en la misma condenación?

But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Don’t you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?

Und wir zwar gerechter Weise; denn wir empfangen, was unsere Taten wert sind; Dieser aber hat nichts Ungehöriges getan.

Y nosotros, á la verdad, justamente padecemos; porque recibimos lo que merecieron nuestros hechos: mas éste ningún mal hizo.

And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong.”

Und zu Jesus sprach er: Gedenke meiner, Herr, wenn Du in Dein Reich kommst.

Y dijo á Jesús: Acuérdate de mí cuando vinieres á tu reino.

And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

He said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”

Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: Wahrlich, Ich sage dir, heute wirst du mit Mir im Paradiese sein.

Entonces Jesús le dijo: De cierto te digo, que hoy estarás conmigo en el paraíso.

And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Jesus said to him, “Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

Es war aber um die sechste Stunde, und es ward eine Finsternis über das ganze Land bis zur neunten Stunde.

Y cuando era como la hora de sexta, fueron hechas tinieblas sobre toda la tierra hasta la hora de nona.

And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour.

Und die Sonne ward verfinstert, und der Vorhang des Tempels riß mitten entzwei.

Y el sol se obscureció: y el velo del templo se rompió por medio.

And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

Und Jesus rief mit großer Stimme und sprach: Vater, in Deine Hände befehle Ich Meinen Geist. Und als Er das gesagt hatte, hauchte Er aus.

Entonces Jesús, clamando á gran voz, dijo: Padre, en tus manos encomiendo mi espíritu. Y habiendo dicho esto, espiró.

And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” Having said this, he breathed his last.

Da aber der Hauptmann sah, was geschah, verherrlichte er Gott und sprach: In der Tat, dieser Mensch war gerecht.

Y como el centurión vió lo que había acontecido, dió gloria á Dios, diciendo: Verdaderamente este hombre era justo.

Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.

Und all das Gedränge, das zum Schauen herbeigekommen war, da sie schauten, was geschah, schlugen sie an ihre Brust und kehrten zurück.

Y toda la multitud de los que estaban presentes á este espectáculo, viendo lo que había acontecido, se volvían hiriendo sus pechos.

And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.

All the multitudes that came together to see this, when they saw the things that were done, returned home beating their chests.

Es standen aber von weitem alle Seine Bekannten und die Weiber, die Ihm aus Galiläa nachgefolgt waren, und sahen das an.

Mas todos sus conocidos, y las mujeres que le habían seguido desde Galilea, estaban lejos mirando estas cosas.

And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.

All his acquaintances and the women who followed with him from Galilee stood at a distance, watching these things.

Und siehe, ein Mann mit Namen Joseph, der ein Ratsherr war, ein guter und gerechter Mann.

Y he aquí un varón llamado José, el cual era senador, varón bueno y justo,

And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:

Behold, there was a man named Joseph, who was a member of the council, a good and righteous man

Er hatte ihrem Ratschluß und ihrem Tun nicht beigestimmt aus Arimathäa, einer Stadt der Juden, der selber auch auf das Reich Gottes wartete,

(El cual no había consentido en el consejo ni en los hechos de ellos), de Arimatea, ciudad de la Judea, el cual también esperaba el reino de Dios;

(The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathæa, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.

(he had not consented to their counsel and deed), from Arimathaea, a city of the Jews, who was also waiting for God’s Kingdom.

Der ging hin zu Pilatus und bat um den Leib Jesu;

Este llegó á Pilato, y pidió el cuerpo de Jesús.

This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.

This man went to Pilate, and asked for Jesus’ body.

Und er nahm ihn ab, wickelte ihn in feine Leinwand und legte ihn in eine aus dem Felsen ausgehauene Gruft, darin niemand je gelegen war.

Y quitado, lo envolvió en una sábana, y le puso en un sepulcro abierto en una peña, en el cual ninguno había aún sido puesto.

And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.

He took it down and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid him in a tomb that was cut in stone, where no one had ever been laid.

Und es war Rüsttag und der Sabbath brach an.

Y era día de la víspera de la Pascua; y estaba para rayar el sábado.

And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.

It was the day of the Preparation, and the Sabbath was drawing near.

Es folgten aber auch die Weiber nach, die mit Ihm aus Galiläa gekommen waren, und schauten die Gruft, und wie Sein Leib gelegt ward.

Y las mujeres que con él habían venido de Galilea, siguieron también y vieron el sepulcro, y cómo fué puesto su cuerpo.

And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.

The women who had come with him out of Galilee followed after, and saw the tomb and how his body was laid.

Sie kehrten aber zurück und bereiteten Spezereien und Salben, und waren den Sabbath über stille nach dem Gebote.

Y vueltas, aparejaron drogas aromáticas y ungüentos; y reposaron el sábado, conforme al mandamiento.

And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
