Et l’un d’eux, qui avait nom Cléopas, répondit, et lui dit : es-tu seul étranger dans Jérusalem, qui ne saches point les choses qui y sont arrivées ces jours-ci ?
Y respondiendo el uno, que se llamaba Cleofas, le dijo: ¿Tú sólo peregrino eres en Jerusalem, y no has sabido las cosas que en ella han acontecido estos días?
And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
One of them, named Cleopas, answered him, “Are you the only stranger in Jerusalem who doesn’t know the things which have happened there in these days?”
Et il leur dit : quelles ? ils répondirent : c’est touchant Jésus le Nazarien, qui était un Prophète, puissant en oeuvres et en paroles devant Dieu, et devant tout le peuple.

Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

Puis commençant par Moïse, et continuant par tous les Prophètes, il leur expliquait dans toutes les Ecritures les choses qui le regardaient.

Mas ellos le detuvieron por fuerza, diciendo: Quédate con nosotros, porque se hace tarde, y el día ya ha declinado. Entró pues á estarse con ellos.
But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
They urged him, saying, “Stay with us, for it is almost evening, and the day is almost over.” He went in to stay with them.
Et il arriva que comme il était à table avec eux, il prit le pain, et il le bénit ; et l’ayant rompu, il le leur distribua.

And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

Alors leurs yeux furent ouverts, en sorte qu’ils le reconnurent ; mais il disparut de devant eux.

Et se levant dans ce moment, ils s’en retournèrent à Jérusalem, où ils trouvèrent les onze assemblés, et ceux qui étaient avec eux ;

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Et ils lui présentèrent une pièce de poisson rôti, et d’un rayon de miel ;

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Alors il leur ouvrit l’esprit pour entendre les Ecritures.
Entonces les abrió el sentido, para que entendiesen las Escrituras;
