Lucas 24

El primer día de la semana, muy de mañana, las mujeres fueron al sepulcro llevando las especias aromáticas que habían preparado.

Y EL primer día de la semana, muy de mañana, vinieron al sepulcro, trayendo las drogas aromáticas que habían aparejado, y algunas otras mujeres con ellas.

Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they and some others came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.

Encontraron que la piedra que cubría el sepulcro no estaba en su lugar,

Y hallaron la piedra revuelta del sepulcro.

And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

y cuando entraron no encontraron el cuerpo del Señor Jesús.

Y entrando, no hallaron el cuerpo del Señor Jesús.

And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

Estaban confundidas, pues no sabían qué había pasado. Mientras tanto, vieron a dos hombres vestidos con ropas brillantes, de pie junto a ellas.

Y aconteció, que estando ellas espantadas de esto, he aquí se pararon junto á ellas dos varones con vestiduras resplandecientes;

And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

While they were greatly perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling clothing.

Estaban tan asustadas que se inclinaron hasta tocar el suelo con su rostro. Pero ellos les dijeron: ―¿Por qué buscan entre los muertos al que vive?

Y como tuviesen ellas temor, y bajasen el rostro á tierra, les dijeron: ¿Por qué buscáis entre los muertos al que vive?

And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

Becoming terrified, they bowed their faces down to the earth. The men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?

No está aquí; ha resucitado. Recuerden lo que él les dijo cuando todavía estaba con ustedes en la región de Galilea:

No está aquí, mas ha resucitado: acordaos de lo que os habló, cuando aun estaba en Galilea,

He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

He isn’t here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee,

“El Hijo del hombre tiene que ser entregado en manos de hombres malvados, y lo crucificarán, pero al tercer día va a resucitar”.

Diciendo: Es menester que el Hijo del hombre sea entregado en manos de hombres pecadores, y que sea crucificado, y resucite al tercer día.

Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and the third day rise again?”

Entonces ellas recordaron las palabras de Jesús.

Cuando regresaron del sepulcro, les contaron a los once y a todos los demás lo que había pasado.

And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.

Las mujeres que contaron estas cosas eran María Magdalena, Juana, María la madre de Jacobo, y las demás que las acompañaban.

Y eran María Magdalena, y Juana, y María madre de Jacobo, y las demás con ellas, las que dijeron estas cosas á los apóstoles.

It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.

Now they were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James. The other women with them told these things to the apostles.

Pero los discípulos pensaron que lo que ellas decían era una locura y no les creyeron.

Mas á ellos les parecían como locura las palabras de ellas, y no las creyeron.

And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

These words seemed to them to be nonsense, and they didn’t believe them.

Sin embargo, Pedro salió corriendo al sepulcro. Al asomarse, sólo vio las vendas de lino. Luego regresó a su casa sorprendido de lo que había sucedido.

Pero levantándose Pedro, corrió al sepulcro: y como miró dentro, vió solos los lienzos echados; y se fué maravillándose de lo que había sucedido.

Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.

But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. Stooping and looking in, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he departed to his home, wondering what had happened.

Ese mismo día, dos de ellos se dirigían a un pueblo llamado Emaús, a unos once kilómetros de Jerusalén.

Y he aquí, dos de ellos iban el mismo día á una aldea que estaba de Jerusalem sesenta estadios, llamada Emmaús.

And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

Behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was sixty stadia from Jerusalem.

Iban conversando de todo lo que había pasado.

E iban hablando entre sí de todas aquellas cosas que habían acaecido.

And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

They talked with each other about all of these things which had happened.

Mientras hablaban y discutían, Jesús mismo se acercó y empezó a caminar con ellos;

Y aconteció que yendo hablando entre sí, y preguntándose el uno al otro, el mismo Jesús se llegó, é iba con ellos juntamente.

And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

While they talked and questioned together, Jesus himself came near, and went with them.

pero no lo reconocieron, pues sus ojos estaban velados.

Mas los ojos de ellos estaban embargados, para que no le conociesen.

But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

But their eyes were kept from recognizing him.

Él les preguntó: ―¿De qué vienen hablando por el camino? Se detuvieron; tenían los rostros embargados de tristeza.

Y díjoles: ¿Qué pláticas son estas que tratáis entre vosotros andando, y estáis tristes?

And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

He said to them, “What are you talking about as you walk, and are sad?”

Uno de ellos, llamado Cleofas, le dijo: ―¿Eres tú el único que ha estado en Jerusalén y no se ha enterado de lo que ha pasado en estos días?

Y respondiendo el uno, que se llamaba Cleofas, le dijo: ¿Tú sólo peregrino eres en Jerusalem, y no has sabido las cosas que en ella han acontecido estos días?

And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

One of them, named Cleopas, answered him, “Are you the only stranger in Jerusalem who doesn’t know the things which have happened there in these days?”

Él les preguntó: ―¿Qué ha pasado? Ellos le respondieron: ―Lo de Jesús de Nazaret. Era un profeta poderoso en lo que hacía y decía ante Dios y ante la gente.

Entonces él les dijo: ¿Qué cosas? Y ellos le dijeron: De Jesús Nazareno, el cual fué varón profeta, poderoso en obra y en palabra delante de Dios y de todo el pueblo;

And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

He said to them, “What things?” They said to him, “The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;

Los jefes de los sacerdotes y nuestros gobernantes lo entregaron para que lo condenaran a muerte y lo crucificaran.

Y cómo le entregaron los príncipes de los sacerdotes y nuestros príncipes á condenación de muerte, y le crucificaron.

And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

Sin embargo, nosotros teníamos la esperanza de que él sería el libertador de Israel. Pero ya hace tres días que sucedió todo esto.

Mas nosotros esperábamos que él era el que había de redimir á Israel: y ahora sobre todo esto, hoy es el tercer día que esto ha acontecido.

But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

But we were hoping that it was he who would redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things happened.

Esta mañana, algunas de las mujeres de entre nosotros nos dejaron asombrados. Muy temprano, fueron al sepulcro,

Aunque también unas mujeres de los nuestros nos han espantado, las cuales antes del día fueron al sepulcro:

Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;

Also, certain women of our company amazed us, having arrived early at the tomb;

pero no encontraron su cuerpo. Cuando volvieron, nos contaron que unos ángeles se les habían aparecido y les habían dicho que él está vivo.

Y no hallando su cuerpo, vinieron diciendo que también habían visto visión de ángeles, los cuales dijeron que él vive.

And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.

and when they didn’t find his body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.

Algunos de nuestros compañeros fueron al sepulcro y lo encontraron tal como las mujeres habían explicado. Pero a él, no lo vieron.

Y fueron algunos de los nuestros al sepulcro, y hallaron así como las mujeres habían dicho; mas á él no le vieron.

And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

Some of us went to the tomb and found it just like the women had said, but they didn’t see him.”

Él les dijo: ―¡Qué torpes son ustedes! ¡Qué corazón tan lento tienen para creer todo lo que los profetas dijeron!

Entonces él les dijo: ¡Oh insensatos, y tardos de corazón para creer todo lo que los profetas han dicho!

Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

He said to them, “Foolish people, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!

¿Acaso no saben que el Cristo tenía que sufrir estas cosas antes de entrar en su gloria?

¿No era necesario que el Cristo padeciera estas cosas, y que entrara en su gloria?

Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

Didn’t the Christ have to suffer these things and to enter into his glory?”

Entonces les explicó todo lo que las Escrituras decían acerca de él, comenzando por Moisés y siguiendo por todos los profetas.

Y comenzando desde Moisés, y de todos los profetas, declarábales en todas las Escrituras lo que de él decían.

And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

Cuando ya estaban cerca del pueblo adonde iban, Jesús hizo como que seguía su camino;

Y llegaron á la aldea á donde iban: y él hizo como que iba más lejos.

And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.

They came near to the village where they were going, and he acted like he would go further.

pero ellos le dijeron con insistencia: ―Quédate con nosotros. Es muy tarde, ya es casi de noche. Así lo hizo, y entró para quedarse con ellos.

Mas ellos le detuvieron por fuerza, diciendo: Quédate con nosotros, porque se hace tarde, y el día ya ha declinado. Entró pues á estarse con ellos.

But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

They urged him, saying, “Stay with us, for it is almost evening, and the day is almost over.” He went in to stay with them.

Mientras estaban sentados a la mesa, tomó el pan, lo bendijo, lo partió y se lo dio.

Y aconteció, que estando sentado con ellos á la mesa, tomando el pan, bendijo, y partió, y dióles.

And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

When he had sat down at the table with them, he took the bread and gave thanks. Breaking it, he gave it to them.

Entonces se les abrieron los ojos y pudieron reconocerlo; pero él desapareció.

Entonces fueron abiertos los ojos de ellos, y le conocieron; mas él se desapareció de los ojos de ellos.

And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

Their eyes were opened and they recognized him; then he vanished out of their sight.

Y ellos se decían uno al otro: ―¿No sentíamos como si nuestro corazón ardiera mientras él hablaba en el camino y nos explicaba las Escrituras?

Y decían el uno al otro: ¿No ardía nuestro corazón en nosotros, mientras nos hablaba en el camino, y cuando nos abría las Escrituras?

And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

They said to one another, “Weren’t our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us along the way, and while he opened the Scriptures to us?”

En ese mismo momento, se pusieron en camino y regresaron a Jerusalén. Allí encontraron reunidos a los once y a los otros que estaban con ellos.

Y levantándose en la misma hora, tornáronse á Jerusalem, y hallaron á los once reunidos, y á los que estaban con ellos.

And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,

They rose up that very hour, returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and those who were with them,

Estos decían: ―¡Es verdad! ¡El Señor ha resucitado y se le apareció a Pedro!

Que decían: Ha resucitado el Señor verdaderamente, y ha aparecido á Simón.

Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.

saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!”

Los dos también contaron lo que les había pasado en el camino, y cómo reconocieron a Jesús cuando partió el pan.

Entonces ellos contaban las cosas que les habían acontecido en el camino, y cómo había sido conocido de ellos al partir el pan.

And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.

They related the things that happened along the way, and how he was recognized by them in the breaking of the bread.

Ellos todavía estaban hablando cuando Jesús mismo se puso en medio de ellos y les dijo: ―Paz a ustedes.

Y entre tanto que ellos hablaban estas cosas, él se puso en medio de ellos, y les dijo: Paz á vosotros.

And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

As they said these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace be to you.”

Todos se llenaron de terror pues creyeron que lo que veían era un espíritu.

Entonces ellos espantados y asombrados, pensaban que veían espíritu.

But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

But they were terrified and filled with fear, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

Él les preguntó: ―¿Por qué están tan asustados? ¿Por qué tienen tantas dudas?

Mas él les dice: ¿Por qué estáis turbados, y suben pensamientos á vuestros corazones?

And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

He said to them, “Why are you troubled? Why do doubts arise in your hearts?

Miren mis manos y mis pies. ¡Soy yo! Tóquenme y comprueben, pues un espíritu no tiene carne ni huesos como ven que yo los tengo.

Mirad mis manos y mis pies, que yo mismo soy: palpad, y ved; que el espíritu ni tiene carne ni huesos, como veis que yo tengo.

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

See my hands and my feet, that it is truly me. Touch me and see, for a spirit doesn’t have flesh and bones, as you see that I have.”

Después de decir esto les mostró las manos y los pies.

Y en diciendo esto, les mostró las manos y los pies.

And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.

Como ellos estaban alegres y asustados, no lo podían creer. Entonces les preguntó: ―¿Tienen algo de comer?

Y no creyéndolo aún ellos de gozo, y maravillados, díjoles: ¿Tenéis aquí algo de comer?

And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

While they still didn’t believe for joy, and wondered, he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

Le dieron un pedazo de pescado asado,

Entonces ellos le presentaron parte de un pez asado, y un panal de miel.

And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

They gave him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb.

y él lo tomó y se lo comió mientras todos lo veían. Luego les dijo:

Y él tomó, y comió delante de ellos.

And he took it, and did eat before them.

He took them, and ate in front of them.

―Recuerden que cuando todavía estaba yo con ustedes, les decía que tenía que cumplirse todo lo que está escrito acerca de mí en la ley de Moisés, en los profetas y en los salmos.

Y él les dijo: Estas son las palabras que os hablé, estando aún con vosotros: que era necesario que se cumpliesen todas las cosas que están escritas de mí en la ley de Moisés, y en los profetas, y en los salmos.

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms concerning me must be fulfilled.”

Entonces les abrió el entendimiento para que pudieran comprender las Escrituras.

Entonces les abrió el sentido, para que entendiesen las Escrituras;

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures.

Les explicó: ―Está escrito que el Cristo padecerá y resucitará al tercer día.

Y díjoles: Así está escrito, y así fué necesario que el Cristo padeciese, y resucitase de los muertos al tercer día;

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

Y también que en su nombre, comenzando en Jerusalén, se predicará a todas las naciones que hay perdón de pecados para el que se arrepiente.

Y que se predicase en su nombre el arrepentimiento y la remisión de pecados en todas las naciones, comenzando de Jerusalem.

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Ustedes son testigos de estas cosas.

Y vosotros sois testigos de estas cosas.

And ye are witnesses of these things.

You are witnesses of these things.

Pronto enviaré lo que prometió mi Padre. Pero ustedes quédense en Jerusalén hasta que los llene con poder de lo alto.

Y he aquí, yo enviaré la promesa de mi Padre sobre vosotros: mas vosotros asentad en la ciudad de Jerusalem, hasta que seáis investidos de potencia de lo alto.

And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Behold, I send out the promise of my Father on you. But wait in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.”

Tras aquellas palabras, los llevó hasta Betania. Una vez allí, alzó las manos y los bendijo.

Y sacólos fuera hasta Bethania, y alzando sus manos, los bendijo.

And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

Y mientras los bendecía, se alejó de ellos y fue llevado al cielo.

Y aconteció que bendiciéndolos, se fué de ellos; y era llevado arriba al cielo.

And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

Los discípulos, después de adorarlo, regresaron a Jerusalén llenos de alegría.

Y ellos, después de haberle adorado, se volvieron á Jerusalem con gran gozo;

And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:

Desde ese día estaban siempre en el templo alabando a Dios.

Y estaban siempre en el templo, alabando y bendiciendo á Dios. Amén.
