Por aquellos días se promulgó un edicto de César Augusto, mandando empadronar a todo el mundo.

Y ACONTECIÓ en aquellos días que salió edicto de parte de Augusto César, que toda la tierra fuese empadronada.

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cæsar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

Now in those days, a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be enrolled.
