Es geschah aber in jenen Tagen, daß eine Verordnung vom Kaiser Augustus ausging, den ganzen Erdkreis einzuschreiben.

Y ACONTECIÓ en aquellos días que salió edicto de parte de Augusto César, que toda la tierra fuese empadronada.

Es ging aber auch Joseph von Galiläa, aus der Stadt Nazareth, hinauf nach Judäa, in Davids Stadt, welche Bethlehem heißt, weil er aus dem Hause und Geschlecht Davids war,

Und es geschah, als sie daselbst waren, wurden ihre Tage erfüllt, daß sie gebären sollte;

And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

und sie gebar ihren erstgeborenen Sohn und wickelte ihn in Windeln und legte ihn in eine Krippe, weil in der Herberge kein Raum für sie war.

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Und es waren Hirten in selbiger Gegend, die auf freiem Felde blieben und des Nachts Wache hielten über ihre Herde.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

Und siehe, ein Engel des Herrn stand bei ihnen, und die Herrlichkeit des Herrn umleuchtete sie, und sie fürchteten sich mit großer Furcht.

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

denn euch ist heute, in Davids Stadt, ein Erretter geboren, welcher ist Christus, der Herr.

Que os ha nacido hoy, en la ciudad de David, un Salvador, que es CRISTO el Señor.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

For there is born to you today, in David’s city, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Und dies sei euch das Zeichen: Ihr werdet ein Kind finden, in Windeln gewickelt und in einer Krippe liegend.

Y esto os será por señal: hallaréis al niño envuelto en pañales, echado en un pesebre.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

This is the sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a feeding trough.”

Und plötzlich war bei dem Engel eine Menge der himmlischen Heerscharen, welche Gott lobten und sprachen:

Y repentinamente fué con el ángel una multitud de los ejércitos celestiales, que alababan á Dios, y decían:

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

Herrlichkeit Gott in der Höhe, und Friede auf Erden, an den Menschen ein Wohlgefallen!

Gloria en las alturas á Dios, y en la tierra paz, buena voluntad para con los hombres.

Und es geschah, als die Engel von ihnen hinweg in den Himmel fuhren, daß die Hirten zueinander sagten: Laßt uns nun hingehen nach Bethlehem und diese Sache sehen, die geschehen ist, welche der Herr uns kundgetan hat.

Y aconteció que como los ángeles se fueron de ellos al cielo, los pastores dijeron los unos á los otros: Pasemos pues hasta Bethlehem, y veamos esto que ha sucedido, que el Señor nos ha manifestado.

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

When the angels went away from them into the sky, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem, now, and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”

Und sie kamen eilends und fanden sowohl Maria als Joseph, und das Kind in der Krippe liegend.

Y vinieron apriesa, y hallaron á María, y á José, y al niño acostado en el pesebre.

And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

Als sie es aber gesehen hatten, machten sie überall das Wort kund, welches über dieses Kindlein zu ihnen geredet worden war.

Y viéndolo, hicieron notorio lo que les había sido dicho del niño.

And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

Und alle, die es hörten, verwunderten sich über das, was von den Hirten zu ihnen gesagt wurde.

Y todos los que oyeron, se maravillaron de lo que los pastores les decían.

And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

Maria aber bewahrte alle diese Worte und erwog sie in ihrem Herzen.

und ein Schlachtopfer zu geben nach dem, was im Gesetz des Herrn gesagt ist: ein Paar Turteltauben oder zwei junge Tauben.

And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.

Y había recibido respuesta del Espíritu Santo, que no vería la muerte antes que viese al Cristo del Señor.

And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

Und er kam durch den Geist in den Tempel. Und als die Eltern das Kindlein Jesus hereinbrachten, um betreffs seiner nach der Gewohnheit des Gesetzes zu tun,

And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,

da nahm auch er es auf seine Arme und lobte Gott und sprach:

“Now you are releasing your servant, Master, according to your word, in peace;

denn meine Augen haben dein Heil gesehen,

Porque han visto mis ojos tu salvación,

For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

for my eyes have seen your salvation,

welches du bereitet hast vor dem Angesicht aller Völker:

La cual has aparejado en presencia de todos los pueblos;

Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

which you have prepared before the face of all peoples;

ein Licht zur Offenbarung der Nationen und zur Herrlichkeit deines Volkes Israel.

Luz para ser revelada á los Gentiles, y la gloria de tu pueblo Israel.

A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

a light for revelation to the nations, and the glory of your people Israel.”

Und sein Vater und seine Mutter verwunderten sich über das, was über ihn geredet wurde.

Y José y su madre estaban maravillados de las cosas que se decían de él.

And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.

Und Simeon segnete sie und sprach zu Maria, seiner Mutter: Siehe, dieser ist gesetzt zum Fall und Aufstehen vieler in Israel und zu einem Zeichen, dem widersprochen wird

Y los bendijo Simeón, y dijo á su madre María: He aquí, éste es puesto para caída y para levantamiento de muchos en Israel; y para señal á la que será contradicho;

And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary, his mother, “Behold, this child is appointed for the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which is spoken against.

(aber auch deine eigene Seele wird ein Schwert durchdringen), damit die Überlegungen vieler Herzen offenbar werden.

Y una espada traspasará tu alma de ti misma, para que sean manifestados los pensamientos de muchos corazones.

(Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

Und es war eine Prophetin Anna, eine Tochter Phanuels, aus dem Stamme Aser. Diese war in ihren Tagen weit vorgerückt und hatte sieben Jahre mit ihrem Manne gelebt von ihrer Jungfrauschaft an;

Estaba también allí Ana, profetisa, hija de Phanuel, de la tribu de Aser; la cual había venido en grande edad, y había vivido con su marido siete años desde su virginidad;

And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;

Y era viuda de hasta ochenta y cuatro años, que no se apartaba del templo, sirviendo de noche y de día con ayunos y oraciones.

And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

and she had been a widow for about eighty-four years), who didn’t depart from the temple, worshiping with fastings and petitions night and day.

Und sie trat zu derselben Stunde herzu, lobte den Herrn und redete von ihm zu allen, welche auf Erlösung warteten in Jerusalem.

Y ésta, sobreviniendo en la misma hora, juntamente confesaba al Señor, y hablaba de él á todos los que esperaban la redención en Jerusalem.

And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

Und als sie alles vollendet hatten nach dem Gesetz des Herrn, kehrten sie nach Galiläa zurück in ihre Stadt Nazareth.

Das Kindlein aber wuchs und erstarkte, erfüllt mit Weisheit, und Gottes Gnade war auf ihm.

But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.

und als sie ihn nicht fanden, kehrten sie nach Jerusalem zurück und suchten ihn.

Und es geschah, nach drei Tagen fanden sie ihn im Tempel, wie er inmitten der Lehrer saß und ihnen zuhörte und sie befragte.

And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.

Alle aber, die ihn hörten, gerieten außer sich über sein Verständnis und seine Antworten.

Und als sie ihn sahen, erstaunten sie; und seine Mutter sprach zu ihm: Kind, warum hast du uns also getan? Siehe, dein Vater und ich haben dich mit Schmerzen gesucht.

Y cuando le vieron, se maravillaron; y díjole su madre: Hijo, ¿por qué nos has hecho así? He aquí, tu padre y yo te hemos buscado con dolor.

And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.

When they saw him, they were astonished; and his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us this way? Behold, your father and I were anxiously looking for you.”

Und er sprach zu ihnen: Was ist es, daß ihr mich gesucht habt? Wußtet ihr nicht, daß ich in dem sein muß, was meines Vaters ist?

Entonces él les dice: ¿Qué hay? ¿por qué me buscabais? ¿No sabíais que en los negocios de mi Padre me conviene estar?

And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?

He said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”

Und sie verstanden das Wort nicht, das er zu ihnen redete.

Mas ellos no entendieron las palabras que les habló.

And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.

They didn’t understand the saying which he spoke to them.

Und er ging mit ihnen hinab und kam nach Nazareth, und er war ihnen untertan. Und seine Mutter bewahrte alle diese Worte in ihrem Herzen.

Y descendió con ellos, y vino á Nazaret, y estaba sujeto á ellos. Y su madre guardaba todas estas cosas en su corazón.

And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

Und Jesus nahm zu an Weisheit und an Größe, und an Gunst bei Gott und Menschen.
