E se emprestardes àqueles de quem esperais receber de volta, que mérito tereis? Pois também os pecadores emprestam aos pecadores, para receberam de volta o tanto equivalente.

Y si prestareis á aquellos de quienes esperáis recibir, ¿qué gracias tendréis? porque también los pecadores prestan á los pecadores, para recibir otro tanto.

And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive back as much.
