Or il arriva le jour de Sabbat second-premier, qu’il passait par des blés, et ses Disciples arrachaient des épis, et les froissant entre leurs mains, ils en mangeaient.

Y ACONTECIÓ que pasando él por los sembrados en un sábado segundo del primero, sus discípulos arrancaban espigas, y comían, restregándolas con las manos.

And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

Now on the second Sabbath after the first, he was going through the grain fields. His disciples plucked the heads of grain and ate, rubbing them in their hands.

Et quelques-uns des Pharisiens leur dirent : pourquoi faites-vous une chose qu’il n’est pas permis de faire les jours du Sabbat ?

Y algunos de los Fariseos les dijeron: ¿Por qué hacéis lo que no es lícito hacer en los sábados?

And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?

But some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why do you do that which is not lawful to do on the Sabbath day?”

Et Jésus prenant la parole, leur dit : n’avez-vous point lu ce que fit David quand il eut faim, lui, et ceux qui étaient avec lui.

Y respondiendo Jesús les dijo: ¿Ni aun esto habéis leído, qué hizo David cuando tuvo hambre, él, y los que con él estaban;

And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him;

Jesus, answering them, said, “Haven’t you read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him,

Comment il entra dans la Maison de Dieu, et prit les pains de proposition, et en mangea, et en donna aussi à ceux qui étaient avec lui, quoiqu’il ne soit permis qu’aux seuls Sacrificateurs d’en manger.

Cómo entró en la casa de Dios, y tomó los panes de la proposición, y comió, y dió también á los que estaban con él, los cuales no era lícito comer, sino á solos los sacerdotes?

How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone?

how he entered into God’s house, and took and ate the show bread, and gave also to those who were with him, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone?”

Puis il leur dit : Le Fils de l’homme est Seigneur même du Sabbat.

Y les decía: El Hijo del hombre es Señor aun del sábado.

And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

He said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”

Il arriva aussi un autre jour de Sabbat, qu’il entra dans la Synagogue, et qu’il enseignait ; et il y avait là un homme dont la main droite était sèche.

Y aconteció también en otro sábado, que él entró en la sinagoga y enseñaba; y estaba allí un hombre que tenía la mano derecha seca.

And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.

Or les Scribes et les Pharisiens prenaient garde s’il le guérirait le jour du Sabbat, afin qu’ils trouvassent de quoi l’accuser.

Y le acechaban los escribas y los Fariseos, si sanaría en sábado, por hallar de qué le acusasen.

And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.

Mais il connaissait leurs pensées ; et il dit à l’homme qui avait la main sèche : lève-toi, et tiens-toi debout au milieu. Et lui se levant se tint debout.

Mas él sabía los pensamientos de ellos; y dijo al hombre que tenía la mano seca: Levántate, y ponte en medio. Y él levantándose, se puso en pie.

But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.

Puis Jésus leur dit : je vous demanderai une chose : est-il permis de faire du bien les jours de Sabbat, ou de faire du mal ? de sauver une personne, ou de la laisser mourir ?

Entonces Jesús les dice: Os preguntaré una cosa: ¿Es lícito en sábados hacer bien, ó hacer mal? ¿salvar la vida, ó quitarla?

Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?

Then Jesus said to them, “I will ask you something: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?”

Et quand il les eut tous regardés à l’environ, il dit à cet homme : étends ta main ; ce qu’il fit ; et sa main fut rendue saine comme l’autre.

Y mirándolos á todos alrededor, dice al hombre: Extiende tu mano. Y él lo hizo así, y su mano fué restaurada.

And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

He looked around at them all, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did, and his hand was restored as sound as the other.

Et ils furent remplis de fureur, et ils s’entretenaient ensemble touchant ce qu’ils pourraient faire à Jésus.

Y ellos se llenaron de rabia; y hablaban los unos á los otros qué harían á Jesús.

And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

But they were filled with rage, and talked with one another about what they might do to Jesus.

Or il arriva en ces jours-là, qu’il s’en alla sur une montagne pour prier, et qu’il passa toute la nuit à prier Dieu.

Puis descendant avec eux, il s’arrêta dans une plaine avec la troupe de ses disciples, et une grande multitude de peuple de toute la Judée, et de Jérusalem, et de la contrée maritime de Tyr et de Sidon, qui étaient venus pour l’entendre, et pour être guéris de leurs maladies ;

Y descendió con ellos, y se paró en un lugar llano, y la compañía de sus discípulos, y una grande multitud de pueblo de toda Judea y de Jerusalem, y de la costa de Tiro y de Sidón, que habían venido á oirle, y para ser sanados de sus enfermedades;

And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judæa and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;

Et ceux aussi qui étaient tourmentés par des esprits immondes ; et ils furent guéris.

Et toute la multitude tâchait de le toucher ; car il sortait de lui une vertu qui les guérissait tous.

And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

Alors tournant les yeux vers ses Disciples, il leur disait : vous êtes bienheureux, vous pauvres ; car le Royaume de Dieu vous appartient.

Y alzando él los ojos á sus discípulos, decía: Bienaventurados vosotros los pobres; porque vuestro es el reino de Dios.

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

Vous êtes bienheureux, vous qui maintenant avez faim ; car vous serez rassasiés. Vous êtes bienheureux, vous qui pleurez maintenant ; car vous serez dans la joie.

Bienaventurados los que ahora tenéis hambre; porque seréis saciados. Bienaventurados los que ahora lloráis, porque reiréis.

Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

Vous serez bienheureux quand les hommes vous haïront, et vous retrancheront de leur société, et vous diront des outrages, et rejetteront votre nom comme mauvais, à cause du Fils de l’homme.

Bienaventurados seréis, cuando los hombres os aborrecieren, y cuando os apartaren de sí, y os denostaren, y desecharen vuestro nombre como malo, por el Hijo del hombre.

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.

Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.

Réjouissez-vous en ce jour-là, et tressaillez de joie ; car voici, votre récompense est grande au ciel ; et leurs pères en faisaient de même aux Prophètes.

Gozaos en aquel día, y alegraos; porque he aquí vuestro galardón es grande en los cielos; porque así hacían sus padres á los profetas.

Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Mais malheur à vous riches ; car vous remportez votre consolation.

Malheur à vous qui êtes remplis ; car vous aurez faim. Malheur à vous qui riez maintenant ; car vous lamenterez et pleurerez.

¡Ay de vosotros, los que estáis hartos! porque tendréis hambre. ¡Ay de vosotros, los que ahora reís! porque lamentaréis y lloraréis.

Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.

Woe to you, you who are full now, for you will be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.

Malheur à vous quand tous les hommes diront du bien de vous ; car leurs pères en faisaient de même aux faux prophètes.

¡Ay de vosotros, cuando todos los hombres dijeren bien de vosotros! porque así hacían sus padres á los falsos profetas.

Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Mais à vous qui m’entendez, je vous dis : aimez vos ennemis ; faites du bien à ceux qui vous haïssent.

Mas á vosotros los que oís, digo: Amad á vuestros enemigos, haced bien á los que os aborrecen;

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

“But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

Bénissez ceux qui vous maudissent, et priez pour ceux qui vous courent sus.

Bendecid á los que os maldicen, y orad por los que os calumnian.

Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Et à celui qui te frappe sur une joue, présente-lui aussi l’autre ; et si quelqu’un t’ôte ton manteau, ne l’empêche point de prendre aussi la tunique.

Y al que te hiriere en la mejilla, dale también la otra; y al que te quitare la capa, ni aun el sayo le defiendas.

And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.

To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak, don’t withhold your coat also.

Et à tout homme qui te demande, donne-lui ; et à celui qui t’ôte ce qui t’appartient, ne le redemande point.

Y á cualquiera que te pidiere, da; y al que tomare lo que es tuyo, no vuelvas á pedir.

Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

Give to everyone who asks you, and don’t ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.

Et comme vous voulez que les hommes vous fassent, faites-leur aussi de même.

Y como queréis que os hagan los hombres, así hacedles también vosotros:

And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

“As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them.

Mais si vous aimez seulement ceux qui vous aiment, quel gré vous en saura- t-on ? car les gens de mauvaise vie aiment aussi ceux qui les aiment.

Porque si amáis á los que os aman, ¿qué gracias tendréis? porque también los pecadores aman á los que los aman.

For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.

Et si vous ne faites du bien qu’à ceux qui vous ont fait du bien, quel gré vous en saura-t-on ? car les gens de mauvaise vie font aussi le même.

Y si hiciereis bien á los que os hacen bien, ¿qué gracias tendréis? porque también los pecadores hacen lo mismo.

And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.

Et si vous ne prêtez qu’à ceux de qui vous espérez de recevoir, quel gré vous en saura-t-on ? car les gens de mauvaise vie prêtent aussi aux gens de mauvaise vie, afin qu’ils en reçoivent la pareille.

Y si prestareis á aquellos de quienes esperáis recibir, ¿qué gracias tendréis? porque también los pecadores prestan á los pecadores, para recibir otro tanto.

And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive back as much.

C’est pourquoi aimez vos ennemis, et faites du bien, et prêtez sans en rien espérer, et votre récompense sera grande, et vous serez les fils du Souverain, car il est bienfaisant envers les ingrats et les méchants.

Amad, pues, á vuestros enemigos, y haced bien, y prestad, no esperando de ello nada; y será vuestro galardón grande, y seréis hijos del Altísimo: porque él es benigno para con los ingratos y malos.

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

Soyez donc miséricordieux comme votre Père est miséricordieux.

Sed pues misericordiosos, como también vuestro Padre es misericordioso.

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

“Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is also merciful.

Et ne jugez point, et vous ne serez point jugés ; ne condamnez point, et vous ne serez point condamnés ; quittez, et il vous sera quitté.

No juzguéis, y no seréis juzgados: no condenéis, y no seréis condenados: perdonad, y seréis perdonados.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Don’t judge, and you won’t be judged. Don’t condemn, and you won’t be condemned. Set free, and you will be set free.

Donnez, et il vous sera donné ; on vous donnera dans le sein bonne mesure, pressée et entassée, et qui s’en ira par-dessus ; car de la mesure que vous mesurerez, on vous mesurera réciproquement.

Dad, y se os dará; medida buena, apretada, remecida, y rebosando darán en vuestro seno: porque con la misma medida que midiereis, os será vuelto á medir.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.”

Il leur disait aussi cette similitude : est-il possible qu’un aveugle puisse mener un autre aveugle ? ne tomberont-ils pas tous deux dans la fosse ?

Y les decía una parábola: ¿Puede el ciego guiar al ciego? ¿No caerán ambos en el hoyo?

And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

He spoke a parable to them. “Can the blind guide the blind? Won’t they both fall into a pit?

Le disciple n’est point par-dessus son maître ; mais tout disciple accompli sera rendu conforme à son maître.

El discípulo no es sobre su maestro; mas cualquiera que fuere como el maestro, será perfecto.

The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.

Et pourquoi regardes-tu le fétu qui est dans l’oeil de ton frère, et tu n’aperçois pas une poutre dans ton propre oeil ?

¿Por qué miras la paja que está en el ojo de tu hermano, y la viga que está en tu propio ojo no consideras?

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Why do you see the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?

Ou comment peux-tu dire à ton frère ? mon frère permets que j’ôte le fétu qui est dans ton oeil, toi qui ne vois pas une poutre qui est dans ton oeil. Hypocrite, ôte premièrement la poutre de ton oeil, et après cela tu verras comment tu ôteras le fétu qui est dans l’oeil de ton frère.

¿O cómo puedes decir á tu hermano: Hermano, deja, echaré fuera la paja que está en tu ojo, no mirando tú la viga que está en tu ojo? Hipócrita, echa primero fuera de tu ojo la viga, y entonces verás bien para sacar la paja que está en el ojo de tu hermano.

Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.

Or how can you tell your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck of chaff that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’t see the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye.

Certes un arbre n’est point bon, qui fait de mauvais fruit ; ni un arbre n’est point mauvais, qui fait de bon fruit.

Porque no es buen árbol el que da malos frutos; ni árbol malo el que da buen fruto.

For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

“For there is no good tree that produces rotten fruit, nor again a rotten tree that produces good fruit.

Et chaque arbre est connu à son fruit ; car aussi les figues ne se cueillent pas des épines, et on ne vendange pas des raisins, d’un buisson.

Porque cada árbol por su fruto es conocido: que no cogen higos de los espinos, ni vendimian uvas de las zarzas.

For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

For each tree is known by its own fruit. For people don’t gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.

L’homme de bien tire de bonnes choses du bon trésor de son coeur ; et l’homme méchant tire de mauvaises choses du mauvais trésor de son coeur ; car c’est de l’abondance du coeur que la bouche parle.

El buen hombre del buen tesoro de su corazón saca bien; y el mal hombre del mal tesoro de su corazón saca mal; porque de la abundancia del corazón habla su boca.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.

Mais pourquoi m’appelez-vous Seigneur, Seigneur, et vous ne faites pas ce que je dis ?

¿Por qué me llamáis, Señor, Señor, y no hacéis lo que digo?

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say?

Je vous montrerai à qui est semblable celui qui vient à moi, et qui entendant mes paroles, les met en pratique.

Todo aquel que viene á mí, y oye mis palabras, y las hace, os enseñaré á quién es semejante:

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words and does them, I will show you who he is like.

Il est semblable à un homme qui bâtissant une maison, a foui et creusé profondément, et a mis le fondement sur la roche ? de sorte qu’un débordement d’eaux étant survenu, le fleuve est bien allé donner contre cette maison ? mais il ne l’a pu ébranler ; parce qu’elle était fondée sur la roche.

Semejante es al hombre que edifica una casa, el cual cavó y ahondó, y puso el fundamento sobre la peña; y cuando vino una avenida, el río dió con ímpetu en aquella casa, mas no la pudo menear: porque estaba fundada sobre la peña.

He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock.

Mais celui, au contraire, qui ayant entendu mes paroles, ne les a point mises en pratique, est semblable à un homme qui a bâti sa maison sur la terre, sans lui faire de fondement ; car le fleuve ayant donné contre cette maison, elle est tombée aussitôt ; et la ruine de cette maison a été grande.

Mas el que oyó y no hizo, semejante es al hombre que edificó su casa sobre tierra, sin fundamento; en la cual el río dió con ímpetu, y luego cayó; y fué grande la ruina de aquella casa.

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

But he who hears and doesn’t do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
