Weil nun der Hauptmann von Jesus gehört hatte, sandte er Älteste der Juden zu ihm mit der Bitte, er möchte kommen und seinen Diener gesund machen.

Y como oyó hablar de Jesús, envió á él los ancianos de los Judíos, rogándole que viniese y librase á su siervo.

And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
