Lucas 7

Nachdem er aber vor dem Volk ausgeredet hatte, ging ergen Kapernaum.

Y COMO acabó todas sus palabras oyéndole el pueblo, entró en Capernaum.

Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.

After he had finished speaking in the hearing of the people, he entered into Capernaum.

Und eines Hauptmanns Knecht lag todkrank, den er wert hielt.

Y el siervo de un centurión, al cual tenía él en estima, estaba enfermo y á punto de morir.

And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.

Da er aber von Jesu horete, sandte er die Altesten der Juden zu ihm und bat ihn, daß er kame und seinen Knecht gesund machte.

Y como oyó hablar de Jesús, envió á él los ancianos de los Judíos, rogándole que viniese y librase á su siervo.

And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.

When he heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and save his servant.

Da sie aber zu Jesu kamen, baten sie ihn mit Fleiß und sprachen: Er ist es wert, daß du ihm das erzeigest;

Y viniendo ellos á Jesús, rogáronle con diligencia, diciéndole: Porque es digno de concederle esto;

And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:

When they came to Jesus, they begged him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy for you to do this for him,

denn er hat unser Volk lieb, und die Schule hat er uns erbauet.

Que ama nuestra nación, y él nos edificó una sinagoga.

For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.

for he loves our nation, and he built our synagogue for us.”

Jesus aber ging mit ihnen hin. Da sie aber nun nicht feme von dem Hause waren, sandte der Hauptmann Freunde zu ihm und ließ ihm sagen: Ach Herr, bemuhe dich nicht! Ich bin nicht wert, daß du unter mein Dach gehest;

Y Jesús fué con ellos. Mas como ya no estuviesen lejos de su casa, envió el centurión amigos á él, diciéndole: Señor, no te incomodes, que no soy digno que entres debajo de mi tejado;

Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:

darum ich auch mich selbst nicht wurdig geachtet habe, daß ich zu dir kame; sondern sprich ein Wort, so wird mein Knabe gesund.

Por lo cual ni aun me tuve por digno de venir á ti; mas di la palabra, y mi siervo será sano.

Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.

Therefore I didn’t even think myself worthy to come to you; but say the word, and my servant will be healed.

Denn auch ich bin ein Mensch, der Obrigkeit untertan, und habe Kriegsknechte unter mir und spreche zu einem: Gehe hin! so geht er hin, und zum andern: Komm her! so kommt er, und zu meinem Knecht: Tu das! so tuter's.

Porque también yo soy hombre puesto en potestad, que tengo debajo de mí soldados; y digo á éste: Ve, y va; y al otro: Ven, y viene; y á mi siervo: Haz esto, y lo hace.

For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

For I also am a man placed under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

Da aber Jesus das horete, verwunderte er sich sein und wandte sich urn und sprach zu dem Volk, das ihm nachfolgte: Ich sage euch, solchen Glauben habe ich in Israel nicht funden.

Lo cual oyendo Jesús, se maravilló de él, y vuelto, dijo á las gentes que le seguían: Os digo que ni aun en Israel he hallado tanta fe.

When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turned and said to the multitude who followed him, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith, no, not in Israel.”

Und da die Gesandten wiederum nach Hause kamen, fanden sie den kranken Knecht gesund.

Y vueltos á casa los que habían sido enviados, hallaron sano al siervo que había estado enfermo.

And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

Those who were sent, returning to the house, found that the servant who had been sick was well.

Und es begab sich danach, daß er in eine Stadt mit Namen Nain ging; und seiner Junger gingen viel mit ihm und viel Volks.

Y aconteció después, que él iba á la ciudad que se llama Naín, é iban con él muchos de sus discípulos, y gran compañía.

And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.

Soon afterwards, he went to a city called Nain. Many of his disciples, along with a great multitude, went with him.

Als er aber nahe an das Stadttor kam, siehe, da trug man einen Toten heraus, der ein einiger Sohn war seiner Mutter, und sie war eine Witwe. Und viel Volks aus der Stadt ging mit ihr.

Y como llegó cerca de la puerta de la ciudad, he aquí que sacaban fuera á un difunto, unigénito de su madre, la cual también era viuda: y había con ella grande compañía de la ciudad.

Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.

Now when he came near to the gate of the city, behold, one who was dead was carried out, the only born son of his mother, and she was a widow. Many people of the city were with her.

Und da sie der Herr sah, jammerte ihn derselbigen und sprach zu ihr: Weine nicht!

Y como el Señor la vió, compadecióse de ella, y le dice: No llores.

And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.

When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Don’t cry.”

Und trat hinzu und ruhrete den Sarg an. Und die Trager stunden. Und er sprach: Jungling, ich sage dir, stehe auf!

Y acercándose, tocó el féretro: y los que lo llevaban, pararon. Y dice: Mancebo, á ti digo, levántate.

And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.

He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I tell you, arise!”

Und der Tote richtete sich auf und fing an zu reden. Und er gab ihn seiner Mutter.

Entonces se incorporó el que había muerto, y comenzó á hablar. Y dióle á su madre.

And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

He who was dead sat up and began to speak. Then he gave him to his mother.

Und es kam sie alle eine Furcht an und preiseten Gott und sprachen: Es ist ein großer Prophet unter uns aufgestanden, und: Gott hat sein Volk heimgesucht.

Y todos tuvieron miedo, y glorificaban á Dios, diciendo: Que un gran profeta se ha levantado entre nosotros; y que Dios ha visitado á su pueblo.

And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.

Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has visited his people!”

Und diese Rede von ihm erscholl in das ganze judische Land und in alle umliegenden Lander.

Y salió esta fama de él por toda Judea, y por toda la tierra de alrededor.

And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judæa, and throughout all the region round about.

This report went out concerning him in the whole of Judea and in all the surrounding region.

Und es verkundigten Johannes seine Junger das alles. Und er rief zu sich seiner Junger zwei

Y sus discípulos dieron á Juan las nuevas de todas estas cosas: y llamó Juan á dos de sus discípulos,

And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things.

The disciples of John told him about all these things.

und sandte sie zu Jesu und ließ ihm sagen: Bist du, der da kommen soli, Oder sollen wir eines andern warten?

Y envió á Jesús, diciendo: ¿Eres tú aquél que había de venir, ó esperaremos á otro?

And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

John, calling to himself two of his disciples, sent them to Jesus, saying, “Are you the one who is coming, or should we look for another?”

Da aber die Manner zu ihm kamen, sprachen sie: Johannes der Taufer hat uns zu dir gesandt und laßt dir sagen: Bist du, der da kommen soli, Oder sollen wir eines andern warten?

Y como los hombres vinieron á él, dijeron: Juan el Bautista nos ha enviado á ti, diciendo: ¿Eres tú aquél que había de venir, ó esperaremos á otro?

When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

When the men had come to him, they said, “John the Baptizer has sent us to you, saying, ‘Are you he who comes, or should we look for another?’”

Zu derselbigen Stunde aber machte erviele gesund von Seuchen und Plagen und bosen Geistern und viel Blinden schenkte er das Gesicht.

Y en la misma hora sanó á muchos de enfermedades y plagas, y de espíritus malos; y á muchos ciegos dió la vista.

And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

In that hour he cured many of diseases and plagues and evil spirits; and to many who were blind he gave sight.

Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Gehet hin und verkundiget Johannes, was ihr gesehen und gehoret habt: Die Blinden sehen, die Lahmen gehen, die Aussatzigen werden rein, die Tauben horen, die Toten stehen auf, den Armen wird das Evangelium geprediget;

Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Id, dad las nuevas á Juan de lo que habéis visto y oído: que los ciegos ven, los cojos andan, los leprosos son limpiados, los sordos oyen, los muertos resucitan, á los pobres es anunciado el evangelio:

Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John the things which you have seen and heard: that the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.

und selig ist, der sich nicht argert an mir.

Y bienaventurado es el que no fuere escandalizado en mí.

And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”

Da aber die Boten des Johannes hingingen, fing Jesus an, zu reden zu dem Volk von Johannes: Was seid ihr hinausgegangen in die Wüste zu sehen? Wolltet ihr ein Rohr sehen, das vom Winde beweget wird?

Y como se fueron los mensajeros de Juan, comenzó á hablar de Juan á las gentes: ¿Qué salisteis á ver al desierto? ¿una caña que es agitada por el viento?

And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

When John’s messengers had departed, he began to tell the multitudes about John, “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

Oder was seid ihr hinausgegangen zu sehen? Wolltet ihr einen Menschen sehen in weichen Kleidern? Sehet, die in herrlichen Kleidern und Lusten leben, die sind in den koniglichen Hofen.

Mas ¿qué salisteis á ver? ¿un hombre cubierto de vestidos delicados? He aquí, los que están en vestido precioso, y viven en delicias, en los palacios de los reyes están.

But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings’ courts.

But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft clothing? Behold, those who are gorgeously dressed and live delicately are in kings’ courts.

Oder was seid ihr bin ausgegangen zu sehen? Wolltet ihr einen Propheten sehen? Ja, ich sage euch, der da mehr ist denn ein Prophet.

Mas ¿qué salisteis á ver? ¿un profeta? También os digo, y aun más que profeta.

But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.

But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet.

Er ist's, von dem geschrieben stehet: Siehe, ich sende meinen Engel vordeinem Angesicht her, der da, bereiten soil deinen Weg vor dir.

Este es de quien está escrito: He aquí, envío mi mensajero delante de tu faz, el cual aparejará tu camino delante de ti.

This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

This is he of whom it is written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.’

Denn ich sage euch, daß unter denen, die von Weibern geboren sind, ist kein großerer Prophet denn Johannes der Taufer; der aber kleiner ist im Reich Gottes, der ist großer denn er.

Porque os digo que entre los nacidos de mujeres, no hay mayor profeta que Juan el Bautista: mas el más pequeño en el reino de los cielos es mayor que él.

For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

“For I tell you, among those who are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptizer; yet he who is least in God’s Kingdom is greater than he.”

Und alles Volk, das ihn horete, und die Zollner gaben Gott recht und ließen sich taufen mit der Taufe des Johannes.

Y todo el pueblo oyéndole, y los publicanos, justificaron á Dios, bautizándose con el bautismo de Juan.

And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.

When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they declared God to be just, having been baptized with John’s baptism.

Aber die Pharisaer und Schriftgelehrten verachteten Gottes Rat wider sich selbst und ließen sich nicht von ihm taufen.

Mas los Fariseos y los sabios de la ley, desecharon el consejo de Dios contra sí mismos, no siendo bautizados de él.

But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.

But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the counsel of God, not being baptized by him themselves.

Aber der Herr sprach: Wem soil ich die Menschen dieses Geschlechts vergleichen, und wem sind sie gleich?

Y dice el Señor: ¿A quién, pues, compararé los hombres de esta generación, y á qué son semejantes?

And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?

“To what then should I compare the people of this generation? What are they like?

Sie sind gleich den Kindern, die auf dem Markt sitzen und rufen gegeneinander und sprechen: Wir haben euch gepfiffen, und ihr habt nicht getanzet; wir haben euch geklaget, und ihr habt nicht geweinet.

Semejantes son á los muchachos sentados en la plaza, y que dan voces los unos á los otros, y dicen: Os tañimos con flautas, y no bailasteis: os endechamos, y no llorasteis.

They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.

They are like children who sit in the marketplace and call to one another, saying, ‘We piped to you, and you didn’t dance. We mourned, and you didn’t weep.’

Denn Johannes der Taufer ist kommen und aß nicht Brot und trank keinen Wein, so sagt ihr: Er hat den Teufel.

Porque vino Juan el Bautista, que ni comía pan, ni bebía vino, y decís: Demonio tiene.

For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.

For John the Baptizer came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’

Des Menschen Sohn ist kommen, isset und trinket, so sagt ihr: Siehe, der Mensch ist ein Fresser und Weinsaufer, der Zollner und Sunder Freund.

Vino el Hijo del hombre, que come y bebe, y decís: He aquí un hombre comilón, y bebedor de vino, amigo de publicanos y de pecadores.

The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Behold, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’

Und die Weisheit muß sich rechtfertigen lassen von alien ihren Kindern.

Mas la sabiduría es justificada de todos sus hijos.

But wisdom is justified of all her children.

Wisdom is justified by all her children.”

Es bat ihn aber der Pharisaer einer, daß er mit ihm aße: Und er ging hinein in des Pharisaers Haus und setzte sich zu Tische.

Y le rogó uno de los Fariseos, que comiese con él. Y entrado en casa del Fariseo, sentóse á la mesa.

And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat.

One of the Pharisees invited him to eat with him. He entered into the Pharisee’s house and sat at the table.

Und siehe, ein Weib war in der Stadt, die war eine Sünderin. Da die vernahm, dafi er zu Tische saß in des Pharisaers Hause, brachte sie ein Glas mit Salben

Y he aquí una mujer que había sido pecadora en la ciudad, como entendió que estaba á la mesa en casa de aquel Fariseo, trajo un alabastro de ungüento,

And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

Behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that he was reclining in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster jar of ointment.

und trat hinten zu seinen Fuüen und weinete und fing an, seine Fuße zu netzen mit Tranen und mit den Haaren ihres Haupts zu trocknen; und kussete seine Fuße und salbete sie mit Salben.

Y estando detrás á sus pies, comenzó llorando á regar con lágrimas sus pies, y los limpiaba con los cabellos de su cabeza; y besaba sus pies, y los ungía con el ungüento.

And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

Standing behind at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and she wiped them with the hair of her head, kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

Da aber das der Pharisaer sah, der ihn geladen hatte, sprach er bei sich selbst und sagte: Wenn dieser ein Prophet ware, so wußte er, wer und welch ein Weib das ist, die ihn anruhret; denn sie ist eine Sünderin.

Y como vió esto el Fariseo que le había convidado, habló entre sí, diciendo: Este, si fuera profeta, conocería quién y cuál es la mujer que le toca, que es pecadora.

Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, “This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, that she is a sinner.”

Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Simon, ich habe dir etwas zu sagen. Er aber sprach: Meister, sage an!

Entonces respondiendo Jesús, le dijo: Simón, una cosa tengo que decirte. Y él dice: Di, Maestro.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.

Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” He said, “Teacher, say on.”

Es hatte ein Wucherer zwei Schuldner. Einer war schuldig funfhundert Groschen, der andere fünfzig.

Un acreedor tenía dos deudores: el uno le debía quinientos denarios, y el otro cincuenta;

There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.

“A certain lender had two debtors. The one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.

Da sie aber nicht hatten zu bezahlen, schenkte er's beiden. Sage an, welcher unter denen wird ihn am meisten lieben?

Y no teniendo ellos de qué pagar, perdonó á ambos. Di, pues, ¿cuál de éstos le amará más?

And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

When they couldn’t pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will love him most?”

Simon antwortete und sprach: Ich achte, dem er am meisten geschenket hat. Er aber sprach zu ihm: Du hast recht gerichtet.

Y respondiendo Simón, dijo: Pienso que aquél al cual perdonó más. Y él le dijo: Rectamente has juzgado.

Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

Simon answered, “He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the most.” He said to him, “You have judged correctly.”

Und erwandte sich zu dem Weibe und sprach zu Simon: Siehest du dies Weib? Ich bin kommen in dein Haus, du hast mit nicht Wasser gegeben zu meinen Fußen; diese aber hat meine Fuße mit Tranen genetzet und mit den Flaaren ihres Haupts getrocknet.

Y vuelto á la mujer, dijo á Simón: ¿Ves esta mujer? Entré en tu casa, no diste agua para mis pies; mas ésta ha regado mis pies con lágrimas, y los ha limpiado con los cabellos.

And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

Turning to the woman, he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered into your house, and you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head.

Du hast mir keinen Kuß gegeben; diese aber, nachdem sie hereinkommen ist, hat sie nicht abgelassen, meine Fuße zu kussen.

No me diste beso, mas ésta, desde que entré, no ha cesado de besar mis pies.

Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

You gave me no kiss, but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet.

Du hast mein Haupt nicht mit Ole gesalbet; sie aber hat meine Fuße mit Salben gesalbet.

No ungiste mi cabeza con óleo; mas ésta ha ungido con ungüento mis pies.

My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

You didn’t anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.

Derhalben sage ich dir: Ihr sind viel Sunden vergeben, denn sie hat viel geliebet. Welchem aber wenig vergeben wird, der liebet wenig.

Por lo cual te digo que sus muchos pecados son perdonados, porque amó mucho; mas al que se perdona poco, poco ama.

Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But one to whom little is forgiven, loves little.”

Und er sprach zu ihr: Dir sind deine Sunden vergeben.

Y á ella dijo: Los pecados te son perdonados.

And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

Da fingen an, die mit ihm zu Tisch saßen, und sprachen bei sich selbst: Wer ist dieser, der auch die Sunden vergibt?

Y los que estaban juntamente sentados á la mesa, comenzaron á decir entre sí: ¿Quién es éste, que también perdona pecados?

And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?

Those who sat at the table with him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”

Er aber sprach zu dem Weibe: Dein Glaube hat dir geholfen; gehe hin mit Frieden!

Y dijo á la mujer: Tu fe te ha salvado, ve en paz.

And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”
