Nachdem Er aber alle diese Reden vor den Ohren des Volkes vollendet hatte, ging Er hinein gen Kapernaum.

Y COMO acabó todas sus palabras oyéndole el pueblo, entró en Capernaum.

Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.

After he had finished speaking in the hearing of the people, he entered into Capernaum.

Der Knecht eines Hauptmannes aber, der von diesem geehrt wurde, war leidend und war am Sterben.

Y el siervo de un centurión, al cual tenía él en estima, estaba enfermo y á punto de morir.

And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.

Als er aber von Jesus hörte, sandte er Älteste der Juden an Ihn und ließ Ihn bitten, zu kommen und seinen Knecht zu retten.

Y como oyó hablar de Jesús, envió á él los ancianos de los Judíos, rogándole que viniese y librase á su siervo.

And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.

When he heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and save his servant.

Da sie aber zu Jesus herzutraten, flehen sie Ihn angelegentlich an und sprachen: Er ist es würdig, daß Du ihm solches erbietest;

Y viniendo ellos á Jesús, rogáronle con diligencia, diciéndole: Porque es digno de concederle esto;

And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:

When they came to Jesus, they begged him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy for you to do this for him,

Denn er liebt unsere Völkerschaft, und er selbst hat uns die Synagoge gebaut.

Que ama nuestra nación, y él nos edificó una sinagoga.

For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.

for he loves our nation, and he built our synagogue for us.”

Jesus aber ging mit ihnen; da Er aber nicht mehr ferne von dem Hause weg war, schickte der Hauptmann Freunde zu Ihm und ließ Ihm sagen: Herr, bemühe Dich nicht; denn ich bin nicht genugsam, daß Du unter mein Dach eingehst.

Y Jesús fué con ellos. Mas como ya no estuviesen lejos de su casa, envió el centurión amigos á él, diciéndole: Señor, no te incomodes, que no soy digno que entres debajo de mi tejado;

Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:

Darum habe ich mich auch nicht für würdig erachtet, daß ich zu Dir käme. Sprich aber ein Wort, so wird mein Knecht gesund.

Por lo cual ni aun me tuve por digno de venir á ti; mas di la palabra, y mi siervo será sano.

Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.

Therefore I didn’t even think myself worthy to come to you; but say the word, and my servant will be healed.

Denn auch ich bin ein Mensch, der Obergewalt untertan, und habe Kriegsknechte unter mir; und sage ich zu einem: Gehe hin, so geht er; und zu einem andern: Komm her, so kommt er; und zu meinem Knechte: Tue das, so tut er es.

Porque también yo soy hombre puesto en potestad, que tengo debajo de mí soldados; y digo á éste: Ve, y va; y al otro: Ven, y viene; y á mi siervo: Haz esto, y lo hace.

For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

For I also am a man placed under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

Da aber Jesus solches hörte, verwunderte Er Sich sein, und wandte Sich um zu dem Gedränge, das Ihm nachfolgte, und sprach: Ich sage euch, solchen Glauben habe Ich selbst in Israel nicht gefunden.

Lo cual oyendo Jesús, se maravilló de él, y vuelto, dijo á las gentes que le seguían: Os digo que ni aun en Israel he hallado tanta fe.

When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turned and said to the multitude who followed him, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith, no, not in Israel.”

Und die Abgesandten kehrten ins Haus zurück und fanden den siechen Knecht gesund.

Y vueltos á casa los que habían sido enviados, hallaron sano al siervo que había estado enfermo.

And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

Those who were sent, returning to the house, found that the servant who had been sick was well.

Und es geschah in der Folge, daß Er in eine Stadt zog, die hieß Nain, und viele Seiner Jünger gingen mit Ihm, und viel Gedränge.

Y aconteció después, que él iba á la ciudad que se llama Naín, é iban con él muchos de sus discípulos, y gran compañía.

And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.

Soon afterwards, he went to a city called Nain. Many of his disciples, along with a great multitude, went with him.

Wie Er aber dem Tor der Stadt nahte, siehe, da trug man einen Toten heraus, welcher der einzige Sohn seiner Mutter war, und sie war eine Witwe und ein großes Gedränge aus der Stadt mit ihr.

Y como llegó cerca de la puerta de la ciudad, he aquí que sacaban fuera á un difunto, unigénito de su madre, la cual también era viuda: y había con ella grande compañía de la ciudad.

Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.

Now when he came near to the gate of the city, behold, one who was dead was carried out, the only born son of his mother, and she was a widow. Many people of the city were with her.

Und da sie der Herr sah, jammerte Ihn derselben, und Er sprach zu ihr: Weine nicht.

Y como el Señor la vió, compadecióse de ella, y le dice: No llores.

And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.

When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Don’t cry.”

Und Er kam hinzu und berührte den Sarg, und die ihn trugen, standen. Und Er sprach: Jüngling, Ich sage dir: Richte dich auf!

Y acercándose, tocó el féretro: y los que lo llevaban, pararon. Y dice: Mancebo, á ti digo, levántate.

And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.

He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I tell you, arise!”

Und der Tote saß auf und fing an zu reden, und Er gab ihn seiner Mutter.

Entonces se incorporó el que había muerto, y comenzó á hablar. Y dióle á su madre.

And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

He who was dead sat up and began to speak. Then he gave him to his mother.

Und alle überkam eine Furcht, und sie verherrlichten Gott und sprachen: Ein großer Prophet ist unter uns erwecket, und Gott hat Sein Volk heimgesucht.

Y todos tuvieron miedo, y glorificaban á Dios, diciendo: Que un gran profeta se ha levantado entre nosotros; y que Dios ha visitado á su pueblo.

And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.

Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has visited his people!”

Und dieses Wort über Ihn ging aus in ganz Judäa und in die ganze Umgegend.

Y salió esta fama de él por toda Judea, y por toda la tierra de alrededor.

And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judæa, and throughout all the region round about.

This report went out concerning him in the whole of Judea and in all the surrounding region.

Und dem Johannes sagten seine Jünger das alles an.

Y sus discípulos dieron á Juan las nuevas de todas estas cosas: y llamó Juan á dos de sus discípulos,

And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things.

The disciples of John told him about all these things.

Und Johannes rief zwei seiner Jünger zu sich, schickte sie an Jesus und sprach: Bist Du, Der da kommen soll, oder sollen wir eines andern warten?

Y envió á Jesús, diciendo: ¿Eres tú aquél que había de venir, ó esperaremos á otro?

And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

John, calling to himself two of his disciples, sent them to Jesus, saying, “Are you the one who is coming, or should we look for another?”

Die Männer aber kamen her zu Ihm und sprachen: Johannes, der Täufer, hat uns zu Dir gesandt und läßt Dir sagen: Bist Du, Der da kommen soll, oder sollen wir eines andern warten?

Y como los hombres vinieron á él, dijeron: Juan el Bautista nos ha enviado á ti, diciendo: ¿Eres tú aquél que había de venir, ó esperaremos á otro?

When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

When the men had come to him, they said, “John the Baptizer has sent us to you, saying, ‘Are you he who comes, or should we look for another?’”

Zur selbigen Stunde aber heilte Er viele von Krankheiten und Plagen und bösen Geistern und schenkte vielen Blinden das Gesicht.

Y en la misma hora sanó á muchos de enfermedades y plagas, y de espíritus malos; y á muchos ciegos dió la vista.

And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

In that hour he cured many of diseases and plagues and evil spirits; and to many who were blind he gave sight.

Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Gehet hin und saget dem Johannes an, was ihr gesehen und gehört habt: Die Blinden sehen wieder, die Lahmen wandeln, die Aussätzigen werden rein, die Tauben hören, die Toten werden auferweckt und den Armen wird das Evangelium gepredigt;

Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Id, dad las nuevas á Juan de lo que habéis visto y oído: que los ciegos ven, los cojos andan, los leprosos son limpiados, los sordos oyen, los muertos resucitan, á los pobres es anunciado el evangelio:

Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John the things which you have seen and heard: that the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.

Und selig ist, wer sich nicht an Mir ärgert.

Y bienaventurado es el que no fuere escandalizado en mí.

And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”

Als aber die Boten des Johannes abgingen, fing Er an über Johannes zu dem Gedränge zu sprechen: Was seid ihr in die Wüste hinausgegangen euch anzusehen? Ein Rohr, das vom Winde geschüttelt wird?

Y como se fueron los mensajeros de Juan, comenzó á hablar de Juan á las gentes: ¿Qué salisteis á ver al desierto? ¿una caña que es agitada por el viento?

And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

When John’s messengers had departed, he began to tell the multitudes about John, “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

Oder was seid ihr hinausgegangen zu sehen? Einen Menschen, mit weichen Kleidern umkleidet? Siehe, die in herrlichen Kleidern und in Üppigkeit leben, sind in den königlichen Palästen.

Mas ¿qué salisteis á ver? ¿un hombre cubierto de vestidos delicados? He aquí, los que están en vestido precioso, y viven en delicias, en los palacios de los reyes están.

But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings’ courts.

But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft clothing? Behold, those who are gorgeously dressed and live delicately are in kings’ courts.

Oder was seid ihr hinausgegangen zu sehen? Einen Propheten? Ja, Ich sage euch, und der noch mehr ist, denn ein Prophet.

Mas ¿qué salisteis á ver? ¿un profeta? También os digo, y aun más que profeta.

But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.

But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet.

Er ist es, von dem geschrieben ist: Siehe, Ich sende Meinen Engel vor Deinem Angesichte her, der Deinen Weg vor Dir zurüsten soll.

Este es de quien está escrito: He aquí, envío mi mensajero delante de tu faz, el cual aparejará tu camino delante de ti.

This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

This is he of whom it is written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.’

Denn Ich sage euch: Unter den von Weibern Geborenen ist kein größerer Prophet, denn Johannes, der Täufer. Aber der Kleinste im Reiche Gottes ist größer denn er.

Porque os digo que entre los nacidos de mujeres, no hay mayor profeta que Juan el Bautista: mas el más pequeño en el reino de los cielos es mayor que él.

For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

“For I tell you, among those who are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptizer; yet he who is least in God’s Kingdom is greater than he.”

Und alles Volk, das ihn hörte, und die Zöllner rechtfertigten Gott und ließen sich taufen mit der Taufe des Johannes.

Y todo el pueblo oyéndole, y los publicanos, justificaron á Dios, bautizándose con el bautismo de Juan.

And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.

When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they declared God to be just, having been baptized with John’s baptism.

Die Pharisäer aber und die Gesetzeslehrer setzten den Rat Gottes für sich beiseite und ließen sich nicht von ihm taufen.

Mas los Fariseos y los sabios de la ley, desecharon el consejo de Dios contra sí mismos, no siendo bautizados de él.

But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.

But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the counsel of God, not being baptized by him themselves.

Aber der Herr sprach: Wem soll Ich nun die Menschen dieses Geschlechts vergleichen und wem sind sie ähnlich?

Y dice el Señor: ¿A quién, pues, compararé los hombres de esta generación, y á qué son semejantes?

And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?

“To what then should I compare the people of this generation? What are they like?

Sie sind den Kindlein ähnlich, die im Markte sitzen, und einander zurufen und sagen: Wir haben euch gepfiffen und ihr habt nicht getanzt; wir haben vor euch geklagt und ihr habt nicht geweint.

Semejantes son á los muchachos sentados en la plaza, y que dan voces los unos á los otros, y dicen: Os tañimos con flautas, y no bailasteis: os endechamos, y no llorasteis.

They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.

They are like children who sit in the marketplace and call to one another, saying, ‘We piped to you, and you didn’t dance. We mourned, and you didn’t weep.’

Denn Johannes, der Täufer, ist gekommen, aß kein Brot und trank keinen Wein, und ihr saget: Er hat einen Dämon.

Porque vino Juan el Bautista, que ni comía pan, ni bebía vino, y decís: Demonio tiene.

For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.

For John the Baptizer came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’

Des Menschen Sohn ist gekommen, ißt und trinkt, und ihr sagt: Siehe, der Mensch ist ein Fresser und Weintrinker, der Zöllner und Sünder Freund!

Vino el Hijo del hombre, que come y bebe, y decís: He aquí un hombre comilón, y bebedor de vino, amigo de publicanos y de pecadores.

The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Behold, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’

Und die Weisheit wird gerechtfertigt von allen Kindern.

Mas la sabiduría es justificada de todos sus hijos.

But wisdom is justified of all her children.

Wisdom is justified by all her children.”

Es bat Ihn aber einer der Pharisäer, daß Er bei ihm äße; und Er ging ein in des Pharisäers Haus und ließ Sich nieder.

Y le rogó uno de los Fariseos, que comiese con él. Y entrado en casa del Fariseo, sentóse á la mesa.

And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat.

One of the Pharisees invited him to eat with him. He entered into the Pharisee’s house and sat at the table.

Und siehe, ein Weib in der Stadt, die eine Sünderin war, erfuhr, daß Er in des Pharisäers Hause zu Tische lag, brachte eine Alabasterbüchse mit Salbe,

Y he aquí una mujer que había sido pecadora en la ciudad, como entendió que estaba á la mesa en casa de aquel Fariseo, trajo un alabastro de ungüento,

And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

Behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that he was reclining in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster jar of ointment.

Und stand hinten zu Seinen Füßen, weinte und fing an, Seine Füße mit den Tränen zu benetzen, und wischte sie ab mit den Haaren ihres Hauptes, und küßte Seine Füße und salbte sie mit der Salbe.

Y estando detrás á sus pies, comenzó llorando á regar con lágrimas sus pies, y los limpiaba con los cabellos de su cabeza; y besaba sus pies, y los ungía con el ungüento.

And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

Standing behind at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and she wiped them with the hair of her head, kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

Als dies der Pharisäer, der Ihn gerufen hatte, sah, sprach er bei sich selbst und sagte: Wenn dieser ein Prophet wäre, so erkennete Er wohl, wer und was für ein Weib die ist, die Ihn berührt, daß sie eine Sünderin ist.

Y como vió esto el Fariseo que le había convidado, habló entre sí, diciendo: Este, si fuera profeta, conocería quién y cuál es la mujer que le toca, que es pecadora.

Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, “This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, that she is a sinner.”

Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Simon, ich habe dir etwas zu sagen: Er aber spricht: Sag an, Lehrer!

Entonces respondiendo Jesús, le dijo: Simón, una cosa tengo que decirte. Y él dice: Di, Maestro.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.

Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” He said, “Teacher, say on.”

Ein Gläubiger hatte zwei Schuldleute; der eine schuldete ihm fünfhundert Denare, der andere aber fünfzig.

Un acreedor tenía dos deudores: el uno le debía quinientos denarios, y el otro cincuenta;

There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.

“A certain lender had two debtors. The one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.

Da sie aber nicht hatten zu bezahlen, schenkte er es beiden. Sage nun, welcher von ihnen wird ihn mehr lieben?

Y no teniendo ellos de qué pagar, perdonó á ambos. Di, pues, ¿cuál de éstos le amará más?

And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

When they couldn’t pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will love him most?”

Simon aber antwortete und sagte: Ich nehme an, der, dem er mehr geschenkt hat. Er aber sprach zu ihm: Du hast recht gerichtet.

Y respondiendo Simón, dijo: Pienso que aquél al cual perdonó más. Y él le dijo: Rectamente has juzgado.

Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

Simon answered, “He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the most.” He said to him, “You have judged correctly.”

Und Er wandte Sich zu dem Weibe und sprach zu Simon: Siehst du dieses Weib? Ich kam herein in dein Haus. Du hast Mir kein Wasser für Meine Füße gegeben; sie aber hat Meine Füße mit den Tränen benetzt und mit den Haaren ihres Hauptes abgewischt.

Y vuelto á la mujer, dijo á Simón: ¿Ves esta mujer? Entré en tu casa, no diste agua para mis pies; mas ésta ha regado mis pies con lágrimas, y los ha limpiado con los cabellos.

And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

Turning to the woman, he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered into your house, and you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head.

Du hast Mir keinen Kuß gegeben; sie aber hat, seit sie hereingekommen ist, nicht abgelassen, Meine Füße zu küssen.

No me diste beso, mas ésta, desde que entré, no ha cesado de besar mis pies.

Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

You gave me no kiss, but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet.

Du hast Mein Haupt nicht mit Öl gesalbt; sie aber hat Meine Füße mit Salbe gesalbt.

No ungiste mi cabeza con óleo; mas ésta ha ungido con ungüento mis pies.

My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

You didn’t anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.

Um dessentwillen sage Ich dir: Ihr sind ihre vielen Sünden vergeben, weil sie viel geliebt hat. Wem aber wenig vergeben wird, der liebt wenig.

Por lo cual te digo que sus muchos pecados son perdonados, porque amó mucho; mas al que se perdona poco, poco ama.

Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But one to whom little is forgiven, loves little.”

Er sprach aber zu ihr: Deine Sünden sind dir vergeben!

Y á ella dijo: Los pecados te son perdonados.

And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

Und die, so mit ihm zu Tische lagen, fingen an bei sich zu sprechen: Wer ist Der, daß Er auch Sünden vergibt?

Y los que estaban juntamente sentados á la mesa, comenzaron á decir entre sí: ¿Quién es éste, que también perdona pecados?

And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?

Those who sat at the table with him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”

Er aber sprach zu dem Weibe: Dein Glaube hat dich gerettet; gehe hin im Frieden!

Y dijo á la mujer: Tu fe te ha salvado, ve en paz.

And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”
