29Pues Jesús ya le había ordenado al espíritu maligno que saliera del hombre. A menudo se apoderaba de él, y a pesar de estar atado con cadenas y grilletes, y puesto bajo guardia, él rompía las cadenas y era llevado por el demonio a regiones desiertas.

29(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
World English Bible
29For Jesus was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bonds apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.
