Lucas 8

Or il arriva après cela qu’il allait de ville en ville, et de bourgade en bourgade, prêchant et annonçant le royaume de Dieu ; et les douze Disciples étaient avec lui ;

Y ACONTECIÓ después, que él caminaba por todas las ciudades y aldeas, predicando y anunciando el evangelio del reino de Dios, y los doce con él,

And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,

Soon afterwards, he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of God’s Kingdom. With him were the twelve,

Et quelques femmes aussi qu’il avait délivrées des malins esprits, et des maladies, savoir Marie, qu’on appelait Magdelaine, de laquelle étaient sortis sept démons.

Y algunas mujeres que habían sido curadas de malos espíritus y de enfermedades: María, que se llamaba Magdalena, de la cual habían salido siete demonios,

And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,

and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;

Et Jeanne femme de Chuzas, lequel avait le maniement des affaires d’Hérode ; et Susanne, et plusieurs autres qui l’assistaient de leurs biens.

Y Juana, mujer de Chuza, procurador de Herodes, y Susana, y otras muchas que le servían de sus haciendas.

And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others who served them from their possessions.

Et comme une grande troupe s’assemblait, et que plusieurs allaient à lui de toutes les villes, il leur dit cette parabole :

Y como se juntó una grande compañía, y los que estaban en cada ciudad vinieron á él, dijo por una parábola:

And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:

When a great multitude came together and people from every city were coming to him, he spoke by a parable:

Un semeur sortit pour semer sa semence ; et en semant, une partie de la semence tomba le long du chemin, et fut foulée aux pieds, et les oiseaux du ciel la mangèrent toute.

Uno que sembraba, salió á sembrar su simiente; y sembrando, una parte cayó junto al camino, y fué hollada; y las aves del cielo la comieron.

A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.

“The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the road, and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the sky devoured it.

Et une autre partie tomba dans un lieu pierreux ; et quand elle fut levée, elle se sécha, parce qu’elle n’avait point d’humidité.

Y otra parte cayó sobre la piedra; y nacida, se secó, porque no tenía humedad.

And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.

Some seed fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.

Et une autre partie tomba entre des épines ; et les épines se levèrent ensemble avec elle, et l’étouffèrent.

Y otra parte cayó entre las espinas; y naciendo las espinas juntamente, la ahogaron.

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.

Some fell amid the thorns, and the thorns grew with it and choked it.

Et une autre partie tomba dans une bonne terre ; et quand elle fut levée, elle rendit du fruit cent fois autant. En disant ces choses, il criait : qui a des oreilles pour ouïr, qu’il entende.

Y otra parte cayó en buena tierra, y cuando fué nacida, llevó fruto á ciento por uno. Diciendo estas cosas clamaba: El que tiene oídos para oir, oiga.

And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Some fell into the good ground and grew and produced one hundred times as much fruit.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Et ses Disciples l’interrogèrent, pour savoir ce que signifiait cette parabole.

Y sus discípulos le preguntaron, diciendo, qué era esta parábola.

And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”

Et il répondit : il vous est donné de connaître les secrets du Royaume de Dieu, mais il n’en est parlé aux autres qu’en similitudes, afin qu’en voyant ils ne voient point, et qu’en entendant ils ne comprennent point.

Y él dijo: A vosotros es dado conocer los misterios del reino de Dios; mas á los otros por parábolas, para que viendo no vean, y oyendo no entiendan.

And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

He said, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of God’s Kingdom, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’

Voici donc ce que signifie cette parabole ; la semence, c’est la parole de Dieu.

Es pues ésta la parábola: La simiente es la palabra de Dios.

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Et ceux qui ont reçu la semence le long du chemin, ce sont ceux qui écoutent la parole ; mais ensuite vient le démon, qui ôte de leur coeur la parole, de peur qu’en croyant ils ne soient sauvés.

Y los de junto al camino, éstos son los que oyen; y luego viene el diablo, y quita la palabra de su corazón, porque no crean y se salven.

Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

Those along the road are those who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.

Et ceux qui ont reçu la semence dans un lieu pierreux, ce sont ceux qui ayant ouï la parole, la reçoivent avec joie ; mais ils n’ont point de racine ; ils croient pour un temps, mais au temps de la tentation ils se retirent.

Y los de sobre la piedra, son los que habiendo oído, reciben la palabra con gozo; mas éstos no tienen raíces; que á tiempo creen, y en el tiempo de la tentación se apartan.

They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root. They believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.

Et ce qui est tombé entre des épines, ce sont ceux qui ayant ouï la parole, et s’en étant allés, sont étouffés par les soucis, par les richesses, et par les voluptés de cette vie, et ils ne rapportent point de fruit à maturité.

Y la que cayó entre las espinas, éstos son los que oyeron; mas yéndose, son ahogados de los cuidados y de las riquezas y de los pasatiempos de la vida, y no llevan fruto.

And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

What fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life; and they bring no fruit to maturity.

Mais ce qui est tombé dans une bonne terre, ce sont ceux qui ayant ouï la parole, la retiennent dans un coeur honnête et bon, et rapportent du fruit avec patience.

Mas la que en buena tierra, éstos son los que con corazón bueno y recto retienen la palabra oída, y llevan fruto en paciencia.

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Those in the good ground, these are those who with an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and produce fruit with perseverance.

Nul, après avoir allumé la lampe, ne la couvre d’un vaisseau, ni ne la met sous un lit, mais il la met sur un chandelier, afin que ceux, qui entrent voient la lumière.

Ninguno que enciende la antorcha la cubre con vasija, ó la pone debajo de la cama; mas la pone en un candelero, para que los que entran vean la luz.

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

“No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.

Car il n’y a point de secret qui ne soit manifesté ; ni de chose cachée qui ne se connaisse, et qui ne vienne en lumière.

Porque no hay cosa oculta, que no haya de ser manifestada; ni cosa escondida, que no haya de ser entendida, y de venir á luz.

For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light.

Regardez donc comment vous écoutez ; car à celui qui a il sera donné ; mais à celui qui n’a rien, cela même qu’il croit avoir, lui sera ôté.

Mirad pues cómo oís; porque á cualquiera que tuviere, le será dado; y á cualquiera que no tuviere, aun lo que parece tener le será quitado.

Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”

Alors sa mère et ses frères vinrent vers lui, mais ils ne pouvaient l’aborder à cause de la foule.

Y vinieron á él su madre y hermanos; y no podían llegar á él por causa de la multitud.

Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.

His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.

Et il lui fut rapporté, en disant : ta mère et tes frères sont là dehors, qui désirent de te voir.

Y le fué dado aviso, diciendo: Tu madre y tus hermanos están fuera, que quieren verte.

And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.

Some people told him, “Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you.”

Mais il répondit, et leur dit : ma mère et mes frères sont ceux qui écoutent la parole de Dieu, et qui la mettent en pratique.

El entonces respondiendo, les dijo: Mi madre y mis hermanos son los que oyen la palabra de Dios, y la ejecutan.

And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”

Or il arriva qu’un jour il monta dans une nacelle avec ses Disciples, et il leur dit : passons à l’autre côté du lac ; et ils partirent.

Y aconteció un día que él entró en un barco con sus discípulos, y les dijo: Pasemos á la otra parte del lago. Y partieron.

Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.

Now on one of those days, he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out.

Et comme ils voguaient, il s’endormit, et un vent impétueux s’étant levé sur le lac, la nacelle se remplissait d’eau, et ils étaient en grand péril.

Pero mientras ellos navegaban, él se durmió. Y sobrevino una tempestad de viento en el lago; y henchían de agua, y peligraban.

But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.

But as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.

Alors ils vinrent à lui, et l’éveillèrent, disant : Maître ! Maître ! nous périssons. Mais lui s’étant levé, parla en Maître au vent et aux flots, et ils s’apaisèrent ; et le calme revint.

Y llegándose á él, le despertaron, diciendo: ¡Maestro, Maestro, que perecemos! Y despertado él, increpó al viento y á la tempestad del agua; y cesaron, y fué hecha bonanza.

And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

They came to him and awoke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are dying!” He awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; then they ceased, and it was calm.

Alors il leur dit : où est votre foi ? et eux saisis de crainte et d’admiration, disaient entre eux : mais qui est celui-ci, qu’il commande même aux vents et à l’eau, et ils lui obéissent ?

Y les dijo: ¿Qué es de vuestra fe? Y atemorizados, se maravillaban, diciendo los unos á los otros: ¿Quién es éste, que aun á los vientos y al agua manda, y le obedecen?

And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

He said to them, “Where is your faith?” Being afraid, they marveled, saying to one another, “Who is this then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”

Puis ils naviguèrent vers le pays des Gadaréniens, qui est vis-à-vis de la Galilée.

Y navegaron á la tierra de los Gadarenos, que está delante de Galilea.

And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.

Then they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.

Et quand il fut descendu à terre, il vint à sa rencontre un homme de cette ville-là, qui depuis longtemps était possédé des démons, et n’était point couvert d’habits, et ne demeurait point dans les maisons, mais dans les sépulcres.

Y saliendo él á tierra, le vino al encuentro de la ciudad un hombre que tenía demonios ya de mucho tiempo; y no vestía vestido, ni estaba en casa, sino por los sepulcros.

And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.

When Jesus stepped ashore, a certain man out of the city who had demons for a long time met him. He wore no clothes, and didn’t live in a house, but in the tombs.

Et ayant aperçu Jésus, il s’écria, et se prosterna devant lui, disant à haute voix : qu’y a-t-il entre moi et toi, Jésus Fils du Dieu Souverain ? je te prie, ne me tourmente point.

El cual, como vió á Jesús, exclamó y se postró delante de él, y dijo á gran voz: ¿Qué tengo yo contigo, Jesús, Hijo del Dios Altísimo? Ruégote que no me atormentes.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, “What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”

Car Jésus commandait à l’esprit immonde de sortir hors de cet homme ; parce qu’il l’avait tenu enserré depuis longtemps, et quoique cet homme fût lié de chaînes et gardé dans les fers il brisait ses liens, et était emporté par le démon dans les déserts.

(Porque mandaba al espíritu inmundo que saliese del hombre: porque ya de mucho tiempo le arrebataba; y le guardaban preso con cadenas y grillos; mas rompiendo las prisiones, era agitado del demonio por los desiertos.)

(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)

For Jesus was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bonds apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.

Et Jésus lui demanda : comment as-tu nom ? Et il dit : Légion ; car plusieurs démons étaient entrés en lui.

Y le preguntó Jesús, diciendo: ¿Qué nombre tienes? Y él dijo: Legión. Porque muchos demonios habían entrado en él.

And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.

Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered into him.

Mais ils priaient Jésus qu’il ne leur commandât point d’aller dans l’abîme.

Y le rogaban que no les mandase ir al abismo.

And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.

They begged him that he would not command them to go into the abyss.

Or il y avait là un grand troupeau de pourceaux qui paissaient sur la montagne, et ils le priaient de leur permettre d’entrer dans ces pourceaux ; et il le leur permit.

Y había allí un hato de muchos puercos que pacían en el monte; y le rogaron que los dejase entrar en ellos; y los dejó.

And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. Then he allowed them.

Et les démons sortant de cet homme entrèrent dans les pourceaux ; et le troupeau se jeta du haut en bas dans le lac ; et fut étouffé.

Y salidos los demonios del hombre, entraron en los puercos; y el hato se arrojó de un despeñadero en el lago, y ahogóse.

Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

The demons came out of the man and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.

Et quand ceux qui le gardaient eurent vu ce qui était arrivé, ils s’enfuirent, et allèrent le raconter dans la ville et par les champs.

Y los pastores, como vieron lo que había acontecido, huyeron, y yendo dieron aviso en la ciudad y por las heredades.

When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.

When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled and told it in the city and in the country.

Et les gens sortirent pour voir ce qui était arrivé, et vinrent à Jésus, et ils trouvèrent l’homme duquel les démons étaient sortis, assis aux pieds de Jésus, vêtu, et de sens rassis et posé ; et ils eurent peur.

Y salieron á ver lo que había acontecido; y vinieron á Jesús, y hallaron sentado al hombre de quien habían salido los demonios, vestido, y en su juicio, á los pies de Jesús; y tuvieron miedo.

Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

People went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

Et ceux qui avaient vu tout cela, leur racontèrent comment le démoniaque avait été délivré.

Y les contaron los que lo habían visto, cómo había sido salvado aquel endemoniado.

They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.

Those who saw it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.

Alors toute cette multitude venue de divers endroits voisins des Gadaréniens le prièrent de se retirer de chez eux ; car ils étaient saisis d’une grande crainte ; il remonta donc dans la nacelle, et s’en retourna.

Entonces toda la multitud de la tierra de los Gadarenos alrededor, le rogaron que se fuese de ellos; porque tenían gran temor. Y él, subiendo en el barco, volvióse.

Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again.

All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. Then he entered into the boat and returned.

Et l’homme duquel les démons étaient sortis, le priait qu’il fût avec lui ; mais Jésus le renvoya, en lui disant :

Y aquel hombre, de quien habían salido los demonios, le rogó para estar con él; mas Jesús le despidió, diciendo:

Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,

But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,

Retourne-t-en en ta maison, et raconte quelles grandes choses Dieu t’a faites. Il s’en alla donc publiant par toute la ville toutes les choses que Jésus lui avait faites.

Vuélvete á tu casa, y cuenta cuán grandes cosas ha hecho Dios contigo. Y él se fué, publicando por toda la ciudad cuán grandes cosas había hecho Jesús con él.

Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.

“Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you.” He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.

Et quand Jésus fut de retour, la multitude le reçut avec joie ; car tous l’attendaient.

Y aconteció que volviendo Jesús, recibióle la gente; porque todos le esperaban.

And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.

When Jesus returned, the multitude welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.

Et voici, un homme appelé Jaïrus, qui était le Principal de la Synagogue, vint, et se jetant aux pieds de Jésus, le pria de venir en sa maison.

Y he aquí un varón, llamado Jairo, y que era príncipe de la sinagoga, vino, y cayendo á los pies de Jesús, le rogaba que entrase en su casa;

And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:

Behold, a man named Jairus came. He was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged him to come into his house,

Car il avait une fille unique, âgée d’environ douze ans, qui se mourait ; et comme il s’en allait, les troupes le pressaient.

Porque tenía una hija única, como de doce años, y ella se estaba muriendo. Y yendo, le apretaba la compañía.

For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.

for he had an only born daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went, the multitudes pressed against him.

Et une femme qui avait une perte de sang depuis douze ans, et qui avait dépensé tout son bien en médecins, sans qu’elle eût pu être guérie par aucun ;

Y una mujer, que tenía flujo de sangre hacía ya doce años, la cual había gastado en médicos toda su hacienda, y por ninguno había podido ser curada,

And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her living on physicians and could not be healed by any,

S’approchant de lui par derrière, toucha le bord de son vêtement ; et à l’instant la perte de sang s’arrêta.

Llegándose por las espaldas, tocó el borde de su vestido; y luego se estancó el flujo de su sangre.

Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

came behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak. Immediately the flow of her blood stopped.

Et Jésus dit : qui est-ce qui m’a touché ? et comme tous niaient que ce fût eux, Pierre lui dit, et ceux aussi qui étaient avec lui : Maître, les troupes te pressent et te foulent, et tu dis : qui est-ce qui m’a touché ?

Entonces Jesús dijo: ¿Quién es el que me ha tocado? Y negando todos, dijo Pedro y los que estaban con él: Maestro, la compañía te aprieta y oprime, y dices: ¿Quién es el que me ha tocado?

And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

Jesus said, “Who touched me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes press and jostle you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”

Mais Jésus dit : quelqu’un m’a touché ; car j’ai connu qu’une vertu est sortie de moi.

Y Jesús dijo: Me ha tocado alguien; porque yo he conocido que ha salido virtud de mí.

And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

But Jesus said, “Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me.”

Alors la femme voyant que cela ne lui avait point été caché, vint toute tremblante, et se jetant à ses pieds, lui déclara devant tout le peuple pour quelle raison elle l’avait touché, et comment elle avait été guérie dans le moment.

Entonces, como la mujer vió que no se había ocultado, vino temblando, y postrándose delante de él declaróle delante de todo el pueblo la causa por qué le había tocado, y cómo luego había sido sana.

And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

Et il lui dit : ma fille rassure-toi, ta foi t’a guérie ; va-t-en en paix.

Y él le dijo: Hija, tu fe te ha salvado: ve en paz.

And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

He said to her, “Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

Et comme il parlait encore, quelqu’un vint de chez le Principal de la Synagogue, qui lui dit : ta fille est morte, ne fatigue point le Maître.

Estando aún él hablando, vino uno del príncipe de la sinagoga á decirle: Tu hija es muerta, no des trabajo al Maestro.

While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master.

While he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house came, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Don’t trouble the Teacher.”

Mais Jésus l’ayant entendu, répondit au père de la fille, disant : ne crains point ; crois seulement, et elle sera guérie.

Y oyéndolo Jesús, le respondió: No temas: cree solamente, y será salva.

But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.

But Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”

Et quand il fut arrivé à la maison, il ne laissa entrer personne, que Pierre, et Jacques, et Jean, avec le père et la mère de la fille.

Y entrado en casa, no dejó entrar á nadie consigo, sino á Pedro, y á Jacobo, y á Juan, y al padre y á la madre de la moza.

And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden.

When he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother.

Or ils la pleuraient tous, et de douleur ils se frappaient la poitrine ; mais il leur dit : ne pleurez point, elle n’est pas morte, mais elle dort.

Y lloraban todos, y la plañían. Y él dijo: No lloréis; no es muerta, sino que duerme.

And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.

All were weeping and mourning her, but he said, “Don’t weep. She isn’t dead, but sleeping.”

Et ils se riaient de lui, sachant bien qu’elle était morte.

Y hacían burla de él, sabiendo que estaba muerta.

And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.

They were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead.

Mais lui les ayant tous mis dehors, et ayant pris la main de la fille, cria, en disant : Fille, lève toi.

Mas él, tomándola de la mano, clamó, diciendo: Muchacha, levántate.

And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.

But he put them all outside, and taking her by the hand, he called, saying, “Child, arise!”

Et son esprit retourna, et elle se leva d’abord ; et il commanda qu’on lui donnât à manger.

Entonces su espíritu volvió, y se levantó luego: y él mandó que le diesen de comer.

And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.

Her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.

Et le père et la mère de la fille en furent étonnés, mais il leur commanda de ne dire à personne ce qui avait été fait.

Y sus padres estaban atónitos; á los cuales él mandó, que á nadie dijesen lo que había sido hecho.

And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.

Her parents were amazed, but he commanded them to tell no one what had been done.
