Lucas 8

Und es geschah danach, daß er nacheinander Stadt und Dorf durchzog, indem er predigte und das Evangelium vom Reiche Gottes verkündigte;

Y ACONTECIÓ después, que él caminaba por todas las ciudades y aldeas, predicando y anunciando el evangelio del reino de Dios, y los doce con él,

And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,

Soon afterwards, he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of God’s Kingdom. With him were the twelve,

und die Zwölfe mit ihm, und gewisse Weiber, die von bösen Geistern und Krankheiten geheilt worden waren: Maria, genannt Magdalene, von welcher sieben Dämonen ausgefahren waren,

Y algunas mujeres que habían sido curadas de malos espíritus y de enfermedades: María, que se llamaba Magdalena, de la cual habían salido siete demonios,

And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,

and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;

und Johanna, das Weib Chusas, des Verwalters Herodes', und Susanna und viele andere Weiber, die ihm dienten mit ihrer Habe.

Y Juana, mujer de Chuza, procurador de Herodes, y Susana, y otras muchas que le servían de sus haciendas.

And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others who served them from their possessions.

Als sich aber eine große Volksmenge versammelte und sie aus jeder Stadt zu ihm hinkamen, sprach er durch ein Gleichnis:

Y como se juntó una grande compañía, y los que estaban en cada ciudad vinieron á él, dijo por una parábola:

And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:

When a great multitude came together and people from every city were coming to him, he spoke by a parable:

Der Sämann ging aus, seinen Samen zu säen; und indem er säte, fiel etliches an den Weg, und es wurde zertreten, und die Vögel des Himmels fraßen es auf.

Uno que sembraba, salió á sembrar su simiente; y sembrando, una parte cayó junto al camino, y fué hollada; y las aves del cielo la comieron.

A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.

“The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the road, and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the sky devoured it.

Und anderes fiel auf den Felsen: und als es aufging, verdorrte es, weil es keine Feuchtigkeit hatte.

Y otra parte cayó sobre la piedra; y nacida, se secó, porque no tenía humedad.

And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.

Some seed fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.

Und anderes fiel mitten unter die Dornen; und indem die Dornen mit aufwuchsen, erstickten sie es.

Y otra parte cayó entre las espinas; y naciendo las espinas juntamente, la ahogaron.

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.

Some fell amid the thorns, and the thorns grew with it and choked it.

Und anderes fiel in die gute Erde und ging auf und brachte hundertfältige Frucht. Als er dies sagte, rief er aus: Wer Ohren hat zu hören, der höre!

Y otra parte cayó en buena tierra, y cuando fué nacida, llevó fruto á ciento por uno. Diciendo estas cosas clamaba: El que tiene oídos para oir, oiga.

And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Some fell into the good ground and grew and produced one hundred times as much fruit.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Seine Jünger aber fragten ihn und sprachen : Was mag dieses Gleichnis sein?

Y sus discípulos le preguntaron, diciendo, qué era esta parábola.

And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”

Er aber sprach: Euch ist es gegeben, die Geheimnisse des Reiches Gottes zu wissen, den übrigen aber in Gleichnissen, auf daß sie sehend nicht sehen und hörend nicht verstehen.

Y él dijo: A vosotros es dado conocer los misterios del reino de Dios; mas á los otros por parábolas, para que viendo no vean, y oyendo no entiendan.

And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

He said, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of God’s Kingdom, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’

Dies aber ist das Gleichnis: Der Same ist das Wort Gottes.

Es pues ésta la parábola: La simiente es la palabra de Dios.

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Die aber an dem Wege sind die, welche hören; dann kommt der Teufel und nimmt das Wort von ihren Herzen weg, auf daß sie nicht glauben und errettet werden.

Y los de junto al camino, éstos son los que oyen; y luego viene el diablo, y quita la palabra de su corazón, porque no crean y se salven.

Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

Those along the road are those who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.

Die aber auf dem Felsen sind die, welche, wenn sie hören, das Wort mit Freuden aufnehmen; und diese haben keine Wurzel, welche für eine Zeit glauben und in der Zeit der Versuchung abfallen.

Y los de sobre la piedra, son los que habiendo oído, reciben la palabra con gozo; mas éstos no tienen raíces; que á tiempo creen, y en el tiempo de la tentación se apartan.

They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root. They believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.

Das aber unter die Dornen fiel sind diese, welche gehört haben und hingehen und durch Sorgen und Reichtum und Vergnügungen des Lebens erstickt werden und nichts zur Reife bringen.

Y la que cayó entre las espinas, éstos son los que oyeron; mas yéndose, son ahogados de los cuidados y de las riquezas y de los pasatiempos de la vida, y no llevan fruto.

And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

What fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life; and they bring no fruit to maturity.

Das in der guten Erde aber sind diese, welche in einem redlichen und guten Herzen das Wort, nachdem sie es gehört haben, bewahren und Frucht bringen mit Ausharren.

Mas la que en buena tierra, éstos son los que con corazón bueno y recto retienen la palabra oída, y llevan fruto en paciencia.

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Those in the good ground, these are those who with an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and produce fruit with perseverance.

Niemand aber, der eine Lampe angezündet hat, bedeckt sie mit einem Gefäß oder stellt sie unter ein Bett, sondern er stellt sie auf ein Lampengestell, auf daß die Hereinkommenden das Licht sehen.

Ninguno que enciende la antorcha la cubre con vasija, ó la pone debajo de la cama; mas la pone en un candelero, para que los que entran vean la luz.

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

“No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.

Denn es ist nichts verborgen, was nicht offenbar werden wird, noch geheim, was nicht kundwerden und ans Licht kommen soll.

Porque no hay cosa oculta, que no haya de ser manifestada; ni cosa escondida, que no haya de ser entendida, y de venir á luz.

For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light.

Sehet nun zu, wie ihr höret; denn wer irgend hat, dem wird gegeben werden, und wer irgend nicht hat, von dem wird selbst was er zu haben scheint genommen werden.

Mirad pues cómo oís; porque á cualquiera que tuviere, le será dado; y á cualquiera que no tuviere, aun lo que parece tener le será quitado.

Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”

Es kamen aber seine Mutter und seine Brüder zu ihm; und sie konnten wegen der Volksmenge nicht zu ihm gelangen.

Y vinieron á él su madre y hermanos; y no podían llegar á él por causa de la multitud.

Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.

His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.

Und es wurde ihm berichtet, indem man sagte : Deine Mutter und deine Brüder stehen draußen und wollen dich sehen.

Y le fué dado aviso, diciendo: Tu madre y tus hermanos están fuera, que quieren verte.

And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.

Some people told him, “Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you.”

Er aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Meine Mutter und meine Brüder sind diese, welche das Wort Gottes hören und tun.

El entonces respondiendo, les dijo: Mi madre y mis hermanos son los que oyen la palabra de Dios, y la ejecutan.

And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”

Und es geschah an einem der Tage, daß er in ein Schiff stieg, er und seine Jünger; und er sprach zu ihnen: Laßt uns übersetzen an das jenseitige Ufer des Sees. Und sie fuhren ab.

Y aconteció un día que él entró en un barco con sus discípulos, y les dijo: Pasemos á la otra parte del lago. Y partieron.

Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.

Now on one of those days, he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out.

Während sie aber fuhren, schlief er ein. Und es fiel ein Sturmwind auf den See, und das Schiff füllte sich mit Wasser, und sie waren in Gefahr.

Pero mientras ellos navegaban, él se durmió. Y sobrevino una tempestad de viento en el lago; y henchían de agua, y peligraban.

But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.

But as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.

Sie traten aber hinzu und weckten ihn auf und sprachen: Meister, Meister, wir kommen um! Er aber stand auf, bedrohte den Wind und das Wogen des Wassers; und sie hörten auf, und es ward eine Stille.

Y llegándose á él, le despertaron, diciendo: ¡Maestro, Maestro, que perecemos! Y despertado él, increpó al viento y á la tempestad del agua; y cesaron, y fué hecha bonanza.

And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

They came to him and awoke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are dying!” He awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; then they ceased, and it was calm.

Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wo ist euer Glaube? Erschrocken aber erstaunten sie und sagten zueinander: Wer ist denn dieser, daß er auch den Winden und dem Wasser gebietet, und sie ihm gehorchen?

Y les dijo: ¿Qué es de vuestra fe? Y atemorizados, se maravillaban, diciendo los unos á los otros: ¿Quién es éste, que aun á los vientos y al agua manda, y le obedecen?

And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

He said to them, “Where is your faith?” Being afraid, they marveled, saying to one another, “Who is this then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”

Und sie fuhren nach dem Lande der Gadarener, welches Galiläa gegenüber ist.

Y navegaron á la tierra de los Gadarenos, que está delante de Galilea.

And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.

Then they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.

Als er aber an das Land ausgestiegen war, kam ihm ein gewisser Mann aus der Stadt entgegen, der seit langer Zeit Dämonen hatte und keine Kleider anzog und nicht im Hause blieb, sondern in den Grabstätten.

Y saliendo él á tierra, le vino al encuentro de la ciudad un hombre que tenía demonios ya de mucho tiempo; y no vestía vestido, ni estaba en casa, sino por los sepulcros.

And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.

When Jesus stepped ashore, a certain man out of the city who had demons for a long time met him. He wore no clothes, and didn’t live in a house, but in the tombs.

Als er aber Jesum sah, schrie er auf und fiel vor ihm nieder und sprach mit lauter Stimme: Was habe ich mit dir zu schaffen, Jesu, Sohn Gottes, des Höchsten? Ich bitte dich, quäle mich nicht.

El cual, como vió á Jesús, exclamó y se postró delante de él, y dijo á gran voz: ¿Qué tengo yo contigo, Jesús, Hijo del Dios Altísimo? Ruégote que no me atormentes.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, “What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”

Denn er hatte dem unreinen Geist geboten, von dem Menschen auszufahren. Denn öfters hatte er ihn ergriffen; und er war gebunden worden, verwahrt mit Ketten und Fußfesseln, und er zerbrach die Bande und wurde von dem Dämon in die Wüsteneien getrieben.

(Porque mandaba al espíritu inmundo que saliese del hombre: porque ya de mucho tiempo le arrebataba; y le guardaban preso con cadenas y grillos; mas rompiendo las prisiones, era agitado del demonio por los desiertos.)

(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)

For Jesus was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bonds apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.

Jesus fragte ihn aber und sprach: Was ist dein Name? Er aber sprach: Legion; denn viele Dämonen waren in ihn gefahren.

Y le preguntó Jesús, diciendo: ¿Qué nombre tienes? Y él dijo: Legión. Porque muchos demonios habían entrado en él.

And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.

Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered into him.

Und sie baten ihn, daß er ihnen nicht gebieten möchte, in den Abgrund zu fahren.

Y le rogaban que no les mandase ir al abismo.

And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.

They begged him that he would not command them to go into the abyss.

Es war aber daselbst eine Herde vieler Schweine, welche an dem Berge weideten. Und sie baten ihn, daß er ihnen erlauben möchte, in jene zu fahren. Und er erlaubte es ihnen.

Y había allí un hato de muchos puercos que pacían en el monte; y le rogaron que los dejase entrar en ellos; y los dejó.

And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. Then he allowed them.

Die Dämonen aber fuhren von dem Menschen aus und fuhren in die Schweine, und die Herde stürzte sich den Abhang hinab in den See und ertrank.

Y salidos los demonios del hombre, entraron en los puercos; y el hato se arrojó de un despeñadero en el lago, y ahogóse.

Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

The demons came out of the man and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.

Als aber die Hüter sahen, was geschehen war, flohen sie und verkündeten es in der Stadt und auf dem Lande.

Y los pastores, como vieron lo que había acontecido, huyeron, y yendo dieron aviso en la ciudad y por las heredades.

When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.

When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled and told it in the city and in the country.

Sie aber gingen hinaus, um zu sehen, was geschehen war. Und sie kamen zu Jesu und fanden den Menschen, von welchem die Dämonen ausgefahren waren, bekleidet und vernünftig, zu den Füßen Jesu sitzend; und sie fürchteten sich.

Y salieron á ver lo que había acontecido; y vinieron á Jesús, y hallaron sentado al hombre de quien habían salido los demonios, vestido, y en su juicio, á los pies de Jesús; y tuvieron miedo.

Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

People went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

Die es gesehen hatten verkündeten ihnen aber auch , wie der Besessene geheilt worden war.

Y les contaron los que lo habían visto, cómo había sido salvado aquel endemoniado.

They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.

Those who saw it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.

Und die ganze Menge der Umgegend der Gadarener bat ihn, von ihnen wegzugehen, denn sie waren von einer großen Furcht ergriffen. Er aber stieg in das Schiff und kehrte wieder zurück.

Entonces toda la multitud de la tierra de los Gadarenos alrededor, le rogaron que se fuese de ellos; porque tenían gran temor. Y él, subiendo en el barco, volvióse.

Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again.

All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. Then he entered into the boat and returned.

Der Mann aber, von welchem die Dämonen ausgefahren waren, bat ihn, daß er bei ihm sein dürfe. Er aber entließ ihn und sprach:

Y aquel hombre, de quien habían salido los demonios, le rogó para estar con él; mas Jesús le despidió, diciendo:

Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,

But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,

Kehre in dein Haus zurück und erzähle, wieviel Gott an dir getan hat. Und er ging hin und rief aus durch die ganze Stadt, wieviel Jesus an ihm getan hatte.

Vuélvete á tu casa, y cuenta cuán grandes cosas ha hecho Dios contigo. Y él se fué, publicando por toda la ciudad cuán grandes cosas había hecho Jesús con él.

Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.

“Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you.” He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.

Es geschah aber, als Jesus zurückkehrte, nahm ihn das Volk auf, denn alle erwarteten ihn.

Y aconteció que volviendo Jesús, recibióle la gente; porque todos le esperaban.

And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.

When Jesus returned, the multitude welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.

Und siehe, es kam ein Mann, mit Namen Jairus (und er war Vorsteher der Synagoge), und fiel Jesu zu Füßen und bat ihn, in sein Haus zu kommen;

Y he aquí un varón, llamado Jairo, y que era príncipe de la sinagoga, vino, y cayendo á los pies de Jesús, le rogaba que entrase en su casa;

And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:

Behold, a man named Jairus came. He was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged him to come into his house,

denn er hatte eine eingeborene Tochter von etwa zwölf Jahren, und diese lag im Sterben. Indem er aber hinging, drängten ihn die Volksmengen.

Porque tenía una hija única, como de doce años, y ella se estaba muriendo. Y yendo, le apretaba la compañía.

For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.

for he had an only born daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went, the multitudes pressed against him.

Und ein Weib, das seit zwölf Jahren mit einem Blutfluß behaftet war, welche, obgleich sie ihren ganzen Lebensunterhalt an die Ärzte verwandt hatte, von niemand geheilt werden konnte,

Y una mujer, que tenía flujo de sangre hacía ya doce años, la cual había gastado en médicos toda su hacienda, y por ninguno había podido ser curada,

And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her living on physicians and could not be healed by any,

kam von hinten herzu und rührte die Quaste seines Kleides an; und alsbald stand der Fluß ihres Blutes.

Llegándose por las espaldas, tocó el borde de su vestido; y luego se estancó el flujo de su sangre.

Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

came behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak. Immediately the flow of her blood stopped.

Und Jesus sprach: Wer ist es, der mich angerührt hat? Als aber alle leugneten, sprach Petrus und die mit ihm waren: Meister, die Volksmengen drängen und drücken dich, und du sagst: Wer ist es, der mich angerührt hat?

Entonces Jesús dijo: ¿Quién es el que me ha tocado? Y negando todos, dijo Pedro y los que estaban con él: Maestro, la compañía te aprieta y oprime, y dices: ¿Quién es el que me ha tocado?

And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

Jesus said, “Who touched me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes press and jostle you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”

Jesus aber sprach: Es hat mich jemand angerührt; denn ich habe erkannt, daß Kraft von mir ausgegangen ist.

Y Jesús dijo: Me ha tocado alguien; porque yo he conocido que ha salido virtud de mí.

And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

But Jesus said, “Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me.”

Als das Weib aber sah, daß sie nicht verborgen blieb, kam sie zitternd und fiel vor ihm nieder und verkündete vor dem ganzen Volk, um welcher Ursache willen sie ihn angerührt habe, und wie sie alsbald geheilt worden sei.

Entonces, como la mujer vió que no se había ocultado, vino temblando, y postrándose delante de él declaróle delante de todo el pueblo la causa por qué le había tocado, y cómo luego había sido sana.

And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

Er aber sprach zu ihr: Sei gutes Mutes, Tochter, dein Glaube hat dich geheilt; gehe hin in Frieden.

Y él le dijo: Hija, tu fe te ha salvado: ve en paz.

And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

He said to her, “Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

Während er noch redete, kommt einer von dem Synagogenvorsteher und sagt zu ihm: Deine Tochter ist gestorben, bemühe den Lehrer nicht.

Estando aún él hablando, vino uno del príncipe de la sinagoga á decirle: Tu hija es muerta, no des trabajo al Maestro.

While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master.

While he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house came, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Don’t trouble the Teacher.”

Als aber Jesus es hörte, antwortete er ihm und sprach : Fürchte dich nicht, glaube nur, und sie wird gerettet werden.

Y oyéndolo Jesús, le respondió: No temas: cree solamente, y será salva.

But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.

But Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”

Als er aber in das Haus kam, erlaubte er niemand hineinzugehen, außer Petrus und Johannes und Jakobus und dem Vater des Kindes und der Mutter.

Y entrado en casa, no dejó entrar á nadie consigo, sino á Pedro, y á Jacobo, y á Juan, y al padre y á la madre de la moza.

And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden.

When he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother.

Alle aber weinten und beklagten sie. Er aber sprach: Weinet nicht, denn sie ist nicht gestorben, sondern sie schläft.

Y lloraban todos, y la plañían. Y él dijo: No lloréis; no es muerta, sino que duerme.

And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.

All were weeping and mourning her, but he said, “Don’t weep. She isn’t dead, but sleeping.”

Und sie verlachten ihn, da sie wußten, daß sie gestorben war.

Y hacían burla de él, sabiendo que estaba muerta.

And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.

They were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead.

Als er aber alle hinausgetrieben hatte, ergriff er sie bei der Hand und rief und sprach: Kind, stehe auf!

Mas él, tomándola de la mano, clamó, diciendo: Muchacha, levántate.

And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.

But he put them all outside, and taking her by the hand, he called, saying, “Child, arise!”

Und ihr Geist kehrte zurück, und alsbald stand sie auf; und er befahl, ihr zu essen zu geben.

Entonces su espíritu volvió, y se levantó luego: y él mandó que le diesen de comer.

And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.

Her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.

Und ihre Eltern gerieten außer sich; er aber gebot ihnen, niemand zu sagen, was geschehen war.

Y sus padres estaban atónitos; á los cuales él mandó, que á nadie dijesen lo que había sido hecho.

And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.

Her parents were amazed, but he commanded them to tell no one what had been done.
