Lucas 8

Não muito tempo depois disso, ele passou pelas cidades e aldeias da Galileia para anunciar a vinda do Reino de Deus; e levava consigo os seus doze discípulos.

Y ACONTECIÓ después, que él caminaba por todas las ciudades y aldeas, predicando y anunciando el evangelio del reino de Dios, y los doce con él,

And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,

Soon afterwards, he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of God’s Kingdom. With him were the twelve,

Iam também algumas mulheres que ele havia curado, ou de quem havia expulsado espíritos malignos; entre elas estavam Maria Madalena (de quem Jesus havia expulsado sete demônios),

Y algunas mujeres que habían sido curadas de malos espíritus y de enfermedades: María, que se llamaba Magdalena, de la cual habían salido siete demonios,

And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,

and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;

Joana, esposa de Cuza, administrador do rei Herodes e que estava a cargo do palácio e dos seus negócios domésticos, Suzana, e muitas outras que contribuíam com seus recursos próprios para o sustento de Jesus e seus discípulos.

Y Juana, mujer de Chuza, procurador de Herodes, y Susana, y otras muchas que le servían de sus haciendas.

And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others who served them from their possessions.

Um dia ele contou esta parábola para uma grande multidão que queria ouvi-lo, enquanto muitos outros ainda estavam vindo de outras cidades:

Y como se juntó una grande compañía, y los que estaban en cada ciudad vinieron á él, dijo por una parábola:

And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:

When a great multitude came together and people from every city were coming to him, he spoke by a parable:

“Um lavrador saiu ao campo para semear. Quando lançava as sementes no solo, algumas caíram à beira do caminho e eram pisadas; as aves vieram e as comeram.

Uno que sembraba, salió á sembrar su simiente; y sembrando, una parte cayó junto al camino, y fué hollada; y las aves del cielo la comieron.

A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.

“The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the road, and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the sky devoured it.

Outras sementes caíram em solo raso, com pedra por baixo. Estas começaram a crescer, mas logo murcharam e morreram por falta de umidade.

Y otra parte cayó sobre la piedra; y nacida, se secó, porque no tenía humedad.

And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.

Some seed fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.

Outras caíram entre os espinhos, que sufocaram todas elas enquanto cresciam juntos.

Y otra parte cayó entre las espinas; y naciendo las espinas juntamente, la ahogaron.

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.

Some fell amid the thorns, and the thorns grew with it and choked it.

Ainda outras caíram em terra boa; estas cresceram e deram boa colheita, de 100 por um”. Ao terminar, disse: “Aquele que tem ouvidos para ouvir, que ouça!”

Y otra parte cayó en buena tierra, y cuando fué nacida, llevó fruto á ciento por uno. Diciendo estas cosas clamaba: El que tiene oídos para oir, oiga.

And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Some fell into the good ground and grew and produced one hundred times as much fruit.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Seus discípulos perguntaram-lhe o que significava aquela parábola.

Y sus discípulos le preguntaron, diciendo, qué era esta parábola.

And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”

E Jesus respondeu: “Deus lhes deixou saber os mistérios do seu Reino. Porém a este povo falo por meio de parábolas, para que ‘vendo, não vejam; e ouvindo, não entendam’.

Y él dijo: A vosotros es dado conocer los misterios del reino de Dios; mas á los otros por parábolas, para que viendo no vean, y oyendo no entiendan.

And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

He said, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of God’s Kingdom, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’

“Este é o significado da parábola: A semente é a palavra de Deus.

Es pues ésta la parábola: La simiente es la palabra de Dios.

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

O caminho duro onde caíram algumas sementes representa os corações duros daqueles que ouvem as palavras de Deus, mas o diabo logo vem e rouba as palavras do coração para que não creiam e não sejam salvos.

Y los de junto al camino, éstos son los que oyen; y luego viene el diablo, y quita la palabra de su corazón, porque no crean y se salven.

Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

Those along the road are those who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.

As sementes que caíram sobre as pedras representam aqueles que têm prazer em ouvir a palavra, mas não têm raiz. Eles creem por algum tempo, mas quando sopram os ventos fortes da provação, perdem o interesse.

Y los de sobre la piedra, son los que habiendo oído, reciben la palabra con gozo; mas éstos no tienen raíces; que á tiempo creen, y en el tiempo de la tentación se apartan.

They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root. They believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.

As sementes que caíram entre os espinhos representam aqueles que ouvem as palavras de Deus, mas são sufocados pela preocupação, pelas riquezas, responsabilidades e prazeres da vida. Assim, eles nunca amadurecem.

Y la que cayó entre las espinas, éstos son los que oyeron; mas yéndose, son ahogados de los cuidados y de las riquezas y de los pasatiempos de la vida, y no llevan fruto.

And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

What fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life; and they bring no fruit to maturity.

Mas a terra boa representa as pessoas que, com coração bom e generoso, ouvem as palavras de Deus e as retêm, e dão fruto com perseverança”.

Mas la que en buena tierra, éstos son los que con corazón bueno y recto retienen la palabra oída, y llevan fruto en paciencia.

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Those in the good ground, these are those who with an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and produce fruit with perseverance.

“Quem alguma vez já ouviu alguém acender uma lamparina e logo colocá-la debaixo de uma cama, para que não brilhe? Na verdade as lamparinas são colocadas em um lugar próprio onde todos os que entram possam ver a luz.

Ninguno que enciende la antorcha la cubre con vasija, ó la pone debajo de la cama; mas la pone en un candelero, para que los que entran vean la luz.

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

“No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.

Isso mostra a verdade de que não há nada oculto que não venha a ser revelado, e nada escondido que não venha a ser descoberto e trazido à luz.

Porque no hay cosa oculta, que no haya de ser manifestada; ni cosa escondida, que no haya de ser entendida, y de venir á luz.

For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light.

Portanto, tomem cuidado na maneira como ouvem; a qualquer um que tiver, lhe será dado mais; qualquer que não tiver, até o que ele pensa que tem, será tirado dele”.

Mirad pues cómo oís; porque á cualquiera que tuviere, le será dado; y á cualquiera que no tuviere, aun lo que parece tener le será quitado.

Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”

Certa vez, quando a mãe e os irmãos de Jesus vieram vê-lo, não podiam entrar na casa onde ele estava ensinando por causa da multidão.

Y vinieron á él su madre y hermanos; y no podían llegar á él por causa de la multitud.

Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.

His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.

Então alguém lhe disse: “Sua mãe e seus irmãos estão lá fora e querem vê-lo”.

Y le fué dado aviso, diciendo: Tu madre y tus hermanos están fuera, que quieren verte.

And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.

Some people told him, “Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you.”

Mas Jesus disse: “Minha mãe e meus irmãos são todos aqueles que ouvem a mensagem de Deus e a praticam”.

El entonces respondiendo, les dijo: Mi madre y mis hermanos son los que oyen la palabra de Dios, y la ejecutan.

And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”

Certo dia, quando Jesus e os discípulos estavam num barco, ele quis que atravessassem para o outro lado do lago.

Y aconteció un día que él entró en un barco con sus discípulos, y les dijo: Pasemos á la otra parte del lago. Y partieron.

Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.

Now on one of those days, he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out.

Durante a travessia, deitou-se para dormir, e enquanto estava dormindo, o vento começou a aumentar. Levantou-se uma grande tempestade, que estava enchendo o barco, e eles corriam sério perigo.

Pero mientras ellos navegaban, él se durmió. Y sobrevino una tempestad de viento en el lago; y henchían de agua, y peligraban.

But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.

But as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.

Os discípulos foram depressa e o despertaram. “Mestre, Mestre estamos naufragando!”, gritavam eles. Então ele se levantou e repreendeu a tempestade, e o vento e as ondas acalmaram-se, ficando tudo tranquilo!

Y llegándose á él, le despertaron, diciendo: ¡Maestro, Maestro, que perecemos! Y despertado él, increpó al viento y á la tempestad del agua; y cesaron, y fué hecha bonanza.

And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

They came to him and awoke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are dying!” He awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; then they ceased, and it was calm.

Aí ele lhes perguntou: “Onde está a sua fé?” Ele ficaram cheios de espanto e admirados, e diziam uns aos outros: “Quem é este, que até os ventos e as ondas lhe obedecem?”

Y les dijo: ¿Qué es de vuestra fe? Y atemorizados, se maravillaban, diciendo los unos á los otros: ¿Quién es éste, que aun á los vientos y al agua manda, y le obedecen?

And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

He said to them, “Where is your faith?” Being afraid, they marveled, saying to one another, “Who is this then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”

Nisso chegaram ao outro lado do lago, para a região dos gadarenos em frente da Galileia.

Y navegaron á la tierra de los Gadarenos, que está delante de Galilea.

And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.

Then they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.

Quando Jesus estava saindo do barco, um homem da cidade de Gadara veio-lhe ao encontro; estava endemoninhado havia muito tempo. Sem casa e sem roupa, vivia no cemitério, entre os sepulcros.

Y saliendo él á tierra, le vino al encuentro de la ciudad un hombre que tenía demonios ya de mucho tiempo; y no vestía vestido, ni estaba en casa, sino por los sepulcros.

And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.

When Jesus stepped ashore, a certain man out of the city who had demons for a long time met him. He wore no clothes, and didn’t live in a house, but in the tombs.

Logo que viu Jesus, deu um grito e caiu aos seus pés, e disse em alta voz: “Que quer comigo, Jesus, Filho do Deus Altíssimo? Por favor, eu suplico, não me atormente!”

El cual, como vió á Jesús, exclamó y se postró delante de él, y dijo á gran voz: ¿Qué tengo yo contigo, Jesús, Hijo del Dios Altísimo? Ruégote que no me atormentes.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, “What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”

Pois Jesus já havia ordenado ao demônio que saísse dele. Este muitas vezes havia dominado o homem, de tal modo que mesmo quando preso com correntes nos pés e nas mãos, aos cuidados de guardas, logo arrebentava tudo e corria para o deserto, inteiramente dominado pelo demônio.

(Porque mandaba al espíritu inmundo que saliese del hombre: porque ya de mucho tiempo le arrebataba; y le guardaban preso con cadenas y grillos; mas rompiendo las prisiones, era agitado del demonio por los desiertos.)

(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)

For Jesus was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bonds apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.

“Qual é o seu nome?”, perguntou Jesus. “Legião”, respondeu ele, porque o homem estava dominado por muitos demônios!

Y le preguntó Jesús, diciendo: ¿Qué nombre tienes? Y él dijo: Legión. Porque muchos demonios habían entrado en él.

And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.

Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered into him.

E imploraram para que não os mandasse para o Abismo.

Y le rogaban que no les mandase ir al abismo.

And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.

They begged him that he would not command them to go into the abyss.

Ali perto havia uma grande manada de porcos comendo na encosta da colina, e os demônios rogavam-lhe que os deixasse entrar nos porcos. E Jesus lhes deu permissão.

Y había allí un hato de muchos puercos que pacían en el monte; y le rogaron que los dejase entrar en ellos; y los dejó.

And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. Then he allowed them.

Então os demônios deixaram o homem e entraram nos porcos, que imediatamente se jogaram por um despenhadeiro abaixo, em direção ao lago, onde todos se afogaram.

Y salidos los demonios del hombre, entraron en los puercos; y el hato se arrojó de un despeñadero en el lago, y ahogóse.

Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

The demons came out of the man and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.

Vendo o que acontecera, os que cuidavam dos porcos fugiram para a cidade próxima, espalhando a notícia, enquanto corriam pelo campo.

Y los pastores, como vieron lo que había acontecido, huyeron, y yendo dieron aviso en la ciudad y por las heredades.

When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.

When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled and told it in the city and in the country.

Logo uma multidão saiu para ver com os próprios olhos o que havia acontecido, e viram o homem que tinha estado endemoninhado sentado calmamente aos pés de Jesus, vestido e em perfeito juízo! A multidão toda ficou com medo.

Y salieron á ver lo que había acontecido; y vinieron á Jesús, y hallaron sentado al hombre de quien habían salido los demonios, vestido, y en su juicio, á los pies de Jesús; y tuvieron miedo.

Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

People went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

Então aqueles que haviam visto isso acontecer, contavam como o homem possesso de demônio tinha sido libertado.

Y les contaron los que lo habían visto, cómo había sido salvado aquel endemoniado.

They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.

Those who saw it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.

E todo mundo pediu a Jesus que fosse embora e os deixasse em paz, pois uma onda de grande medo tinha tomado conta deles. Então ele voltou ao barco e partiu, atravessando outra vez o lago.

Entonces toda la multitud de la tierra de los Gadarenos alrededor, le rogaron que se fuese de ellos; porque tenían gran temor. Y él, subiendo en el barco, volvióse.

Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again.

All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. Then he entered into the boat and returned.

O homem que tinha estado possesso de demônio pediu para ir também, mas Jesus não deixou.

Y aquel hombre, de quien habían salido los demonios, le rogó para estar con él; mas Jesús le despidió, diciendo:

Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,

But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,

“Volte para sua família”, disse-lhe ele, “e conte-lhes que coisa maravilhosa Deus fez com você”. Então, o homem foi pela cidade inteira contando a todos o que Jesus havia feito por ele.

Vuélvete á tu casa, y cuenta cuán grandes cosas ha hecho Dios contigo. Y él se fué, publicando por toda la ciudad cuán grandes cosas había hecho Jesús con él.

Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.

“Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you.” He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.

No outro lado do lago o povo recebeu Jesus de braços abertos, pois o estavam esperando.

Y aconteció que volviendo Jesús, recibióle la gente; porque todos le esperaban.

And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.

When Jesus returned, the multitude welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.

Então um homem chamado Jairo, dirigente de uma sinagoga judaica, veio e caiu aos pés de Jesus, pedindo-lhe que fosse à sua casa com ele,

Y he aquí un varón, llamado Jairo, y que era príncipe de la sinagoga, vino, y cayendo á los pies de Jesús, le rogaba que entrase en su casa;

And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:

Behold, a man named Jairus came. He was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged him to come into his house,

porque estava à morte sua única filha, uma menina de doze anos. Jesus foi com ele, abrindo caminho no meio da multidão que o comprimia.

Porque tenía una hija única, como de doce años, y ella se estaba muriendo. Y yendo, le apretaba la compañía.

For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.

for he had an only born daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went, the multitudes pressed against him.

Enquanto eles iam, veio uma mulher que queria ser curada, porque sofria de uma hemorragia havia doze anos. Embora tivesse gasto com médicos tudo o que tinha, ela não tinha sido curada.

Y una mujer, que tenía flujo de sangre hacía ya doce años, la cual había gastado en médicos toda su hacienda, y por ninguno había podido ser curada,

And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her living on physicians and could not be healed by any,

Ela veio por trás e tocou na borda do seu manto e no mesmo instante a hemorragia parou.

Llegándose por las espaldas, tocó el borde de su vestido; y luego se estancó el flujo de su sangre.

Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

came behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak. Immediately the flow of her blood stopped.

“Quem tocou em mim?”, perguntou Jesus. Todos negaram, e Pedro disse: “Mestre, são tantos os que se juntam em torno do Senhor”.

Entonces Jesús dijo: ¿Quién es el que me ha tocado? Y negando todos, dijo Pedro y los que estaban con él: Maestro, la compañía te aprieta y oprime, y dices: ¿Quién es el que me ha tocado?

And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

Jesus said, “Who touched me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes press and jostle you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”

Mas Jesus lhe disse: “Alguém tocou em mim, porque eu senti que saiu poder de mim”.

Y Jesús dijo: Me ha tocado alguien; porque yo he conocido que ha salido virtud de mí.

And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

But Jesus said, “Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me.”

Quando a mulher percebeu que Jesus já sabia, começou a tremer e caiu de joelhos diante dele. Diante de todo o povo contou por que tinha tocado nele e como tinha sido curada na hora.

Entonces, como la mujer vió que no se había ocultado, vino temblando, y postrándose delante de él declaróle delante de todo el pueblo la causa por qué le había tocado, y cómo luego había sido sana.

And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

“Filha”, disse-lhe Jesus, “a sua fé curou você! Vá em paz”.

Y él le dijo: Hija, tu fe te ha salvado: ve en paz.

And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

He said to her, “Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

Enquanto Jesus ainda estava falando com a mulher, chegou um mensageiro da casa de Jairo, o dirigente da sinagoga, e disse a Jairo: “A sua filha morreu. Não adianta incomodar o Mestre agora”.

Estando aún él hablando, vino uno del príncipe de la sinagoga á decirle: Tu hija es muerta, no des trabajo al Maestro.

While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master.

While he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house came, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Don’t trouble the Teacher.”

Porém quando Jesus soube o que havia acontecido, disse a Jairo: “Não tenha medo! Apenas confie em mim, e ela será curada”.

Y oyéndolo Jesús, le respondió: No temas: cree solamente, y será salva.

But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.

But Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”

Quando eles chegaram à casa de Jairo, Jesus não deixou entrar ninguém no quarto, a não ser Pedro, João e Tiago e o pai e a mãe da menina.

Y entrado en casa, no dejó entrar á nadie consigo, sino á Pedro, y á Jacobo, y á Juan, y al padre y á la madre de la moza.

And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden.

When he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother.

A casa estava cheia de gente se lamentando e chorando, porém ele disse: “Parem de chorar! Ela não está morta; está apenas dormindo!”

Y lloraban todos, y la plañían. Y él dijo: No lloréis; no es muerta, sino que duerme.

And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.

All were weeping and mourning her, but he said, “Don’t weep. She isn’t dead, but sleeping.”

Isso fez com que zombassem e rissem dele, porque todos sabiam que ela estava morta.

Y hacían burla de él, sabiendo que estaba muerta.

And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.

They were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead.

Então Jesus a tomou pela mão e disse: “Menina, levante-se!”

Mas él, tomándola de la mano, clamó, diciendo: Muchacha, levántate.

And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.

But he put them all outside, and taking her by the hand, he called, saying, “Child, arise!”

Naquele mesmo instante a vida dela voltou e logo ficou em pé! “Deem alguma coisa para ela comer!”, disse Jesus.

Entonces su espíritu volvió, y se levantó luego: y él mandó que le diesen de comer.

And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.

Her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.

Os pais dela ficaram maravilhados, mas Jesus insistiu em que eles não contassem a ninguém o que tinha acontecido.

Y sus padres estaban atónitos; á los cuales él mandó, que á nadie dijesen lo que había sido hecho.

And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.

Her parents were amazed, but he commanded them to tell no one what had been done.
