Lucas 8

Und es begab sich hernach, daß er durch Städte und Dörfer reiste, wobei er predigte und das Evangelium vom Reiche Gottes verkündigte; und die Zwölf †waren mit ihm

Y ACONTECIÓ después, que él caminaba por todas las ciudades y aldeas, predicando y anunciando el evangelio del reino de Dios, y los doce con él,

And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,

Soon afterwards, he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of God’s Kingdom. With him were the twelve,

und etliche Frauen, die von bösen Geistern und Krankheiten geheilt worden waren: Maria, genannt Magdalena, von welcher sieben Teufel ausgefahren waren,

Y algunas mujeres que habían sido curadas de malos espíritus y de enfermedades: María, que se llamaba Magdalena, de la cual habían salido siete demonios,

And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,

and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;

und Johanna, das Weib Chusas, eines Verwalters des Herodes, und Susanna und viele andere, welche ihnen dienten mit ihrer Habe.

Y Juana, mujer de Chuza, procurador de Herodes, y Susana, y otras muchas que le servían de sus haciendas.

And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others who served them from their possessions.

Als nun viel Volk zusammenkam und sie aus den Städten zu ihm zogen, sprach er in einem Gleichnis:

Y como se juntó una grande compañía, y los que estaban en cada ciudad vinieron á él, dijo por una parábola:

And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:

When a great multitude came together and people from every city were coming to him, he spoke by a parable:

Der Sämann ging aus, seinen Samen zu säen. Und indem er säte, fiel etliches an den Weg und wurde zertreten, und die Vögel des Himmels fraßen es auf.

Uno que sembraba, salió á sembrar su simiente; y sembrando, una parte cayó junto al camino, y fué hollada; y las aves del cielo la comieron.

A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.

“The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the road, and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the sky devoured it.

Und anderes fiel auf den Felsen; und als es keimte, verdorrte es, weil es keine Feuchtigkeit hatte.

Y otra parte cayó sobre la piedra; y nacida, se secó, porque no tenía humedad.

And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.

Some seed fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.

Und anderes fiel mitten unter die Dornen; und die Dornen, die mit ihm aufwuchsen, erstickten es.

Y otra parte cayó entre las espinas; y naciendo las espinas juntamente, la ahogaron.

And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.

Some fell amid the thorns, and the thorns grew with it and choked it.

Und anderes fiel auf gutes Erdreich und wuchs auf und brachte hundertfältige Frucht. Und als er das sagte, rief er: Wer Ohren hat zu hören, der höre!

Y otra parte cayó en buena tierra, y cuando fué nacida, llevó fruto á ciento por uno. Diciendo estas cosas clamaba: El que tiene oídos para oir, oiga.

And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Some fell into the good ground and grew and produced one hundred times as much fruit.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Da fragten ihn seine Jünger, was dieses Gleichnis bedeute.

Y sus discípulos le preguntaron, diciendo, qué era esta parábola.

And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”

Er aber sprach: Euch ist es gegeben, die Geheimnisse des Reiches Gottes zu erkennen, den andern aber in Gleichnissen, auf daß sie sehen und doch nicht sehen, und hören und doch nicht verstehen.

Y él dijo: A vosotros es dado conocer los misterios del reino de Dios; mas á los otros por parábolas, para que viendo no vean, y oyendo no entiendan.

And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

He said, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of God’s Kingdom, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’

Das Gleichnis aber bedeutet dies: Der Same ist das Wort Gottes.

Es pues ésta la parábola: La simiente es la palabra de Dios.

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Die am Wege sind die, welche es gehört haben; darnach kommt der Teufel und nimmt das Wort von ihren Herzen weg, damit sie nicht zum Glauben gelangen und gerettet werden.

Y los de junto al camino, éstos son los que oyen; y luego viene el diablo, y quita la palabra de su corazón, porque no crean y se salven.

Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

Those along the road are those who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.

Die aber auf dem Felsen sind die, welche das Wort, wenn sie es hören, mit Freuden aufnehmen; aber sie haben keine Wurzel, sie glauben nur eine Zeitlang, und zur Zeit der Anfechtung fallen sie ab.

Y los de sobre la piedra, son los que habiendo oído, reciben la palabra con gozo; mas éstos no tienen raíces; que á tiempo creen, y en el tiempo de la tentación se apartan.

They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root. They believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.

Was aber unter die Dornen fiel, das sind die, welche es gehört haben; aber sie gehen hin und werden von Sorgen und Reichtum und Vergnügungen des Lebens erstickt und bringen die Frucht nicht zur Reife.

Y la que cayó entre las espinas, éstos son los que oyeron; mas yéndose, son ahogados de los cuidados y de las riquezas y de los pasatiempos de la vida, y no llevan fruto.

And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

What fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life; and they bring no fruit to maturity.

Das in dem guten Erdreich aber sind die, welche das Wort, das sie gehört haben, in einem feinen und guten Herzen behalten und Frucht bringen in Geduld.

Mas la que en buena tierra, éstos son los que con corazón bueno y recto retienen la palabra oída, y llevan fruto en paciencia.

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Those in the good ground, these are those who with an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and produce fruit with perseverance.

Niemand aber, der ein Licht anzündet, bedeckt es mit einem Gefäß, oder stellt es unter ein Bett, sondern er setzt es auf einen Leuchter, damit, wer hereinkommt, das Licht sehe.

Ninguno que enciende la antorcha la cubre con vasija, ó la pone debajo de la cama; mas la pone en un candelero, para que los que entran vean la luz.

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

“No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.

Denn nichts ist verborgen, das nicht offenbar werden wird, und nichts ist geheim, das nicht kundwerden und an den Tag kommen wird.

Porque no hay cosa oculta, que no haya de ser manifestada; ni cosa escondida, que no haya de ser entendida, y de venir á luz.

For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light.

So sehet nun darauf, wie ihr hört! Denn wer da hat, dem wird gegeben; und wer nicht hat, von dem wird auch das genommen werden, was er zu haben meint.

Mirad pues cómo oís; porque á cualquiera que tuviere, le será dado; y á cualquiera que no tuviere, aun lo que parece tener le será quitado.

Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”

Es kamen aber seine Mutter und seine Brüder zu ihm, und sie konnten wegen der Volksmenge nicht zu ihm gelangen.

Y vinieron á él su madre y hermanos; y no podían llegar á él por causa de la multitud.

Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.

His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.

Es wurde ihm aber gemeldet: Deine Mutter und deine Brüder stehen draußen und begehren dich zu sehen!

Y le fué dado aviso, diciendo: Tu madre y tus hermanos están fuera, que quieren verte.

And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.

Some people told him, “Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you.”

Er aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Meine Mutter und meine Brüder sind die, welche das Wort Gottes hören und tun!

El entonces respondiendo, les dijo: Mi madre y mis hermanos son los que oyen la palabra de Dios, y la ejecutan.

And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.”

Und es begab sich an einem der Tage, daß er und seine Jünger in ein Schiff traten; und er sprach zu ihnen: Laßt uns ans andere Ufer des Sees fahren!

Y aconteció un día que él entró en un barco con sus discípulos, y les dijo: Pasemos á la otra parte del lago. Y partieron.

Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.

Now on one of those days, he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out.

Und sie fuhren ab. Auf der Fahrt aber schlief er ein. Und es fiel ein Sturmwind auf den See, und das Schiff füllte sich, und sie liefen Gefahr.

Pero mientras ellos navegaban, él se durmió. Y sobrevino una tempestad de viento en el lago; y henchían de agua, y peligraban.

But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.

But as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.

Da traten sie hinzu, weckten ihn auf und sprachen: Meister, Meister, wir kommen um! Er aber stand auf und bedrohte den Wind und die Wasserwogen; und sie legten sich, und es wurde still.

Y llegándose á él, le despertaron, diciendo: ¡Maestro, Maestro, que perecemos! Y despertado él, increpó al viento y á la tempestad del agua; y cesaron, y fué hecha bonanza.

And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

They came to him and awoke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are dying!” He awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water; then they ceased, and it was calm.

Da sprach er zu ihnen: Wo ist euer Glaube? Sie aber fürchteten und verwunderten sich und sprachen zueinander: Wer ist doch der, daß er auch den Winden gebietet und dem Wasser und sie ihm gehorsam sind?

Y les dijo: ¿Qué es de vuestra fe? Y atemorizados, se maravillaban, diciendo los unos á los otros: ¿Quién es éste, que aun á los vientos y al agua manda, y le obedecen?

And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

He said to them, “Where is your faith?” Being afraid, they marveled, saying to one another, “Who is this then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”

Und sie fuhren zum Land der Gerasener, welches Galiläa gegenüber liegt.

Y navegaron á la tierra de los Gadarenos, que está delante de Galilea.

And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.

Then they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.

Und als er ans Land gestiegen war, kam ihm aus der Stadt ein Besessener entgegen, der seit langer Zeit kein Kleid mehr trug, auch in keinem Hause blieb, sondern in den Gräbern.

Y saliendo él á tierra, le vino al encuentro de la ciudad un hombre que tenía demonios ya de mucho tiempo; y no vestía vestido, ni estaba en casa, sino por los sepulcros.

And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.

When Jesus stepped ashore, a certain man out of the city who had demons for a long time met him. He wore no clothes, and didn’t live in a house, but in the tombs.

Als er aber Jesus sah, schrie er, warf sich vor ihm nieder und sprach mit lauter Stimme: Was habe ich mit dir zu schaffen, Jesus, du Sohn Gottes, des Höchsten? Ich bitte dich, peinige mich nicht!

El cual, como vió á Jesús, exclamó y se postró delante de él, y dijo á gran voz: ¿Qué tengo yo contigo, Jesús, Hijo del Dios Altísimo? Ruégote que no me atormentes.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, “What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”

Denn Jesus hatte dem unreinen Geiste geboten, von dem Menschen auszufahren; denn er hatte ihn schon lange Zeit in seiner Gewalt, und man hatte ihn mit Ketten gebunden und mit Fußfesseln verwahrt. Aber er zerriß die Bande und wurde vom Dämon in die Wüste getrieben.

(Porque mandaba al espíritu inmundo que saliese del hombre: porque ya de mucho tiempo le arrebataba; y le guardaban preso con cadenas y grillos; mas rompiendo las prisiones, era agitado del demonio por los desiertos.)

(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)

For Jesus was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bonds apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.

Jesus aber fragte ihn: Wie heißest du? Er sprach: Legion! Denn viele Dämonen waren in ihn gefahren.

Y le preguntó Jesús, diciendo: ¿Qué nombre tienes? Y él dijo: Legión. Porque muchos demonios habían entrado en él.

And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.

Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered into him.

Und sie baten ihn, er möge ihnen nicht befehlen, in den Abgrund zu fahren.

Y le rogaban que no les mandase ir al abismo.

And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.

They begged him that he would not command them to go into the abyss.

Es war aber daselbst eine große Schweineherde an dem Berg zur Weide, und sie baten ihn, daß er ihnen erlaube, in jene zu fahren. Und er erlaubte es ihnen.

Y había allí un hato de muchos puercos que pacían en el monte; y le rogaron que los dejase entrar en ellos; y los dejó.

And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. Then he allowed them.

Da fuhren die Dämonen von dem Menschen aus und fuhren in die Schweine, und die Herde stürzte sich den Abhang hinunter in den See und ertrank.

Y salidos los demonios del hombre, entraron en los puercos; y el hato se arrojó de un despeñadero en el lago, y ahogóse.

Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

The demons came out of the man and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.

Als aber die Hirten sahen, was geschehen war, flohen sie und verkündigten es in der Stadt und auf dem Lande.

Y los pastores, como vieron lo que había acontecido, huyeron, y yendo dieron aviso en la ciudad y por las heredades.

When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.

When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled and told it in the city and in the country.

Da gingen sie hinaus zu sehen, was geschehen war, und kamen zu Jesus und fanden den Menschen, von welchem die Dämonen ausgefahren waren, bekleidet und vernünftig zu den Füßen Jesu sitzen, und sie fürchteten sich.

Y salieron á ver lo que había acontecido; y vinieron á Jesús, y hallaron sentado al hombre de quien habían salido los demonios, vestido, y en su juicio, á los pies de Jesús; y tuvieron miedo.

Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

People went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

Die aber, welche es gesehen hatten, erzählten ihnen, wie dem Besessenen geholfen worden war.

Y les contaron los que lo habían visto, cómo había sido salvado aquel endemoniado.

They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.

Those who saw it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.

Da bat ihn die ganze Bevölkerung der umliegenden Landschaft der Gerasener, von ihnen wegzugehen; denn große Furcht hatte sie ergriffen. Er aber trat in das Schiff und kehrte zurück.

Entonces toda la multitud de la tierra de los Gadarenos alrededor, le rogaron que se fuese de ellos; porque tenían gran temor. Y él, subiendo en el barco, volvióse.

Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again.

All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. Then he entered into the boat and returned.

Der Mann aber, von welchem die Dämonen ausgefahren waren, bat ihn, daß er bei ihm bleiben dürfe. Aber Jesus entließ ihn und sprach:

Y aquel hombre, de quien habían salido los demonios, le rogó para estar con él; mas Jesús le despidió, diciendo:

Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,

But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,

Kehre zurück in dein Haus und erzähle, was Gott dir Großes getan hat! Und er ging und verkündigte in der ganzen Stadt, was Jesus ihm Großes getan habe.

Vuélvete á tu casa, y cuenta cuán grandes cosas ha hecho Dios contigo. Y él se fué, publicando por toda la ciudad cuán grandes cosas había hecho Jesús con él.

Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.

“Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you.” He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.

Als aber Jesus zurückkam, empfing ihn das Volk; denn sie warteten alle auf ihn.

Y aconteció que volviendo Jesús, recibióle la gente; porque todos le esperaban.

And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.

When Jesus returned, the multitude welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.

Und siehe, es kam ein Mann, namens Jairus, der war ein Oberster der Synagoge; und er warf sich Jesus zu Füßen und bat ihn, in sein Haus zu kommen.

Y he aquí un varón, llamado Jairo, y que era príncipe de la sinagoga, vino, y cayendo á los pies de Jesús, le rogaba que entrase en su casa;

And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:

Behold, a man named Jairus came. He was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged him to come into his house,

Denn er hatte eine einzige Tochter von etwa zwölf Jahren, und diese lag im Sterben. Als er aber hinging, drängte ihn die Volksmenge.

Porque tenía una hija única, como de doce años, y ella se estaba muriendo. Y yendo, le apretaba la compañía.

For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.

for he had an only born daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went, the multitudes pressed against him.

Und eine Frau, die seit zwölf Jahren den Blutfluß gehabt und all ihr Gut an die Ärzte gewandt hatte, aber von keinem geheilt werden konnte,

Y una mujer, que tenía flujo de sangre hacía ya doce años, la cual había gastado en médicos toda su hacienda, y por ninguno había podido ser curada,

And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her living on physicians and could not be healed by any,

trat von hinten herzu und rührte den Saum seines Kleides an; und auf der Stelle kam ihr Blutfluß zum Stehen.

Llegándose por las espaldas, tocó el borde de su vestido; y luego se estancó el flujo de su sangre.

Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

came behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak. Immediately the flow of her blood stopped.

Und Jesus fragte: Wer hat mich angerührt? Da nun alle leugneten, sprachen Petrus und die mit ihm waren: Meister, das Volk drückt und drängt dich.

Entonces Jesús dijo: ¿Quién es el que me ha tocado? Y negando todos, dijo Pedro y los que estaban con él: Maestro, la compañía te aprieta y oprime, y dices: ¿Quién es el que me ha tocado?

And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

Jesus said, “Who touched me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes press and jostle you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”

Jesus aber sprach: Es hat mich jemand angerührt; denn ich spürte, wie eine Kraft von mir ausging!

Y Jesús dijo: Me ha tocado alguien; porque yo he conocido que ha salido virtud de mí.

And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

But Jesus said, “Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me.”

Als nun die Frau sah, daß sie nicht unbemerkt geblieben war, kam sie zitternd, fiel vor ihm nieder und erzählte ihm vor dem ganzen Volke, aus welchem Grunde sie ihn angerührt habe und wie sie auf der Stelle gesund geworden sei.

Entonces, como la mujer vió que no se había ocultado, vino temblando, y postrándose delante de él declaróle delante de todo el pueblo la causa por qué le había tocado, y cómo luego había sido sana.

And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

Er aber sprach zu ihr: Tochter, dein Glaube hat dich gerettet; gehe hin in Frieden!

Y él le dijo: Hija, tu fe te ha salvado: ve en paz.

And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

He said to her, “Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

Da er noch redete, kam jemand vom Synagogenvorsteher und sprach zu ihm: Deine Tochter ist gestorben; bemühe den Meister nicht mehr!

Estando aún él hablando, vino uno del príncipe de la sinagoga á decirle: Tu hija es muerta, no des trabajo al Maestro.

While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master.

While he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house came, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Don’t trouble the Teacher.”

Da es aber Jesus hörte, antwortete er ihm und sprach: Fürchte dich nicht; glaube nur, so wird sie gerettet werden!

Y oyéndolo Jesús, le respondió: No temas: cree solamente, y será salva.

But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.

But Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”

Und als er in das Haus kam, ließ er niemand mit sich hineingehen als Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes und den Vater des Kindes und die Mutter.

Y entrado en casa, no dejó entrar á nadie consigo, sino á Pedro, y á Jacobo, y á Juan, y al padre y á la madre de la moza.

And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden.

When he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother.

Sie weinten aber alle und beklagten sie. Er aber sprach: Weinet nicht! Sie ist nicht gestorben, sondern sie schläft.

Y lloraban todos, y la plañían. Y él dijo: No lloréis; no es muerta, sino que duerme.

And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.

All were weeping and mourning her, but he said, “Don’t weep. She isn’t dead, but sleeping.”

Und sie verlachten ihn, weil sie wußten, daß sie gestorben war.

Y hacían burla de él, sabiendo que estaba muerta.

And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.

They were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead.

Er aber ergriff ihre Hand und rief: Kind, steh auf!

Mas él, tomándola de la mano, clamó, diciendo: Muchacha, levántate.

And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.

But he put them all outside, and taking her by the hand, he called, saying, “Child, arise!”

Und ihr Geist kehrte wieder, und sie stand augenblicklich auf; und er befahl, ihr zu essen zu geben.

Entonces su espíritu volvió, y se levantó luego: y él mandó que le diesen de comer.

And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.

Her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.

Und ihre Eltern gerieten außer sich; er aber gebot ihnen, niemand zu sagen, was geschehen war.

Y sus padres estaban atónitos; á los cuales él mandó, que á nadie dijesen lo que había sido hecho.

And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.

Her parents were amazed, but he commanded them to tell no one what had been done.
