Lucas 9

Puis Jésus ayant assemblé ses douze Disciples, leur donna puissance et autorité sur tous les démons, et le pouvoir de guérir les malades.

Y JUNTANDO á sus doce discípulos, les dió virtud y potestad sobre todos los demonios, y que sanasen enfermedades.

Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

Et il les envoya prêcher le Royaume de Dieu, et guérir les malades,

Y los envió á que predicasen el reino de Dios, y que sanasen á los enfermos.

And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Et leur dit : ne portez rien pour le voyage, ni bâtons, ni sac, ni pain, ni argent ; et n’ayez point chacun deux robes.

Y les dice: No toméis nada para el camino, ni báculo, ni alforja, ni pan, ni dinero; ni tengáis dos vestidos cada uno.

And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.

He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey—no staffs, nor wallet, nor bread, nor money. Don’t have two tunics each.

Et en quelque maison que vous entriez, demeurez-y jusqu’à ce que vous partiez de là.

Y en cualquiera casa en que entrareis, quedad allí, y de allí salid.

And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.

Into whatever house you enter, stay there, and depart from there.

Et partout où l’on ne vous recevra point, en partant de cette ville-là secouez la poudre de vos pieds, en témoignage contre eux.

Y todos los que no os recibieren, saliéndoos de aquella ciudad, aun el polvo sacudid de vuestros pies en testimonio contra ellos.

And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

As many as don’t receive you, when you depart from that city, shake off even the dust from your feet for a testimony against them.”

Eux donc étant partis allaient de bourgade en bourgade, évangélisant, et guérissant partout.

Y saliendo, rodeaban por todas las aldeas, anunciando el evangelio, y sanando por todas partes.

And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

They departed and went throughout the villages, preaching the Good News and healing everywhere.

Or Hérode le Tétrarque ouït parler de toutes les choses que Jésus faisait ; et il ne savait que croire de ce que quelques-uns disaient que Jean était ressuscité des morts ;

Y oyó Herodes el tetrarca todas las cosas que hacía; y estaba en duda, porque decían algunos: Juan ha resucitado de los muertos;

Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead;

Et quelques-uns, qu’Elie était apparu ; et d’autres, que quelqu’un des anciens Prophètes était ressuscité.

And of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.

Et Hérode dit : j’ai fait décapiter Jean ; qui est donc celui-ci de qui j’entends dire de telles choses ? Et il cherchait à le voir.

Y dijo Herodes: A Juan yo degollé: ¿quién pues será éste, de quien yo oigo tales cosas? Y procuraba verle.

And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.

Herod said, “I beheaded John, but who is this about whom I hear such things?” He sought to see him.

Puis les Apôtres étant de retour, lui racontèrent toutes les choses qu’ils avaient faites. Et Jésus les emmena avec lui, et se retira dans un lieu désert, près de la ville appelée Bethsaïda.

Y vueltos los apóstoles, le contaron todas las cosas que habían hecho. Y tomándolos, se retiró aparte á un lugar desierto de la ciudad que se llama Bethsaida.

And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.

The apostles, when they had returned, told him what things they had done. He took them and withdrew apart to a desert region of a city called Bethsaida.

Ce que les troupes ayant su, elles le suivirent, et il les reçut, et leur parlait du Royaume de Dieu, et guérissait ceux qui avaient besoin d’être guéris.

Y como lo entendieron las gentes, le siguieron; y él las recibió, y les hablaba del reino de Dios, y sanaba á los que tenían necesidad de cura.

And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

But the multitudes, perceiving it, followed him. He welcomed them, spoke to them of God’s Kingdom, and he cured those who needed healing.

Or le jour ayant commencé à baisser, les douze Disciples vinrent à lui, et lui dirent : donne congé à cette multitude, afin qu’ils s’en aillent aux bourgades et aux villages des environs, pour s’y retirer, et trouver à manger ; car nous sommes ici dans un pays désert.

Y el día había comenzado á declinar; y llegándose los doce, le dijeron: Despide á las gentes, para que yendo á las aldeas y heredades de alrededor, procedan á alojarse y hallen viandas; porque aquí estamos en lugar desierto.

And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.

The day began to wear away; and the twelve came and said to him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and farms and lodge and get food, for we are here in a deserted place.”

Mais il leur dit : donnez-leur vous-mêmes à manger. Et ils dirent : nous n’avons pas plus de cinq pains et de deux poissons ; à moins que nous n’allions acheter des vivres pour tout ce peuple ;

Y les dice: Dadles vosotros de comer. Y dijeron ellos: No tenemos más que cinco panes y dos pescados, si no vamos nosotros á comprar viandas para toda esta compañía.

But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.

But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we should go and buy food for all these people.”

Car ils étaient environ cinq mille hommes. Et il dit à ses Disciples : faites-les arranger par troupes, de cinquante chacune.

Y eran como cinco mil hombres. Entonces dijo á sus discípulos: Hacedlos sentar en ranchos, de cincuenta en cincuenta.

For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.

Ils le firent ainsi, et les firent tous arranger.

Puis il prit les cinq pains et les deux poissons, et regardant vers le ciel, il les bénit, et les rompit, et il les distribua à ses Disciples, afin qu’ils les missent devant cette multitude.

Y tomando los cinco panes y los dos pescados, mirando al cielo los bendijo, y partió, y dió á sus discípulos para que pusiesen delante de las gentes.

Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.

Et ils en mangèrent tous, et furent rassasiés, et on remporta douze corbeilles pleines des pièces de pain qu’il y avait eu de reste.

Y comieron todos, y se hartaron; y alzaron lo que les sobró, doce cestos de pedazos.

And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.

They ate and were all filled. They gathered up twelve baskets of broken pieces that were left over.

Or il arriva que comme il était dans un lieu retiré pour prier, et que les Disciples étaient avec lui, il les interrogea, disant : qui disent les troupes que je suis ?

Y aconteció que estando él solo orando, estaban con él los discípulos; y les preguntó diciendo: ¿Quién dicen las gentes que soy?

And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?

As he was praying alone, the disciples were near him, and he asked them, “Who do the multitudes say that I am?”

Ils lui répondirent : Les uns disent que tu es Jean Baptiste ; et les autres, Elie ; et les autres, que quelqu’un des anciens Prophètes est ressuscité.

Y ellos respondieron, y dijeron: Juan el Bautista; y otros, Elías; y otros, que algún profeta de los antiguos ha resucitado.

They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.

They answered, “‘John the Baptizer,’ but others say, ‘Elijah,’ and others, that one of the old prophets has risen again.”

Il leur dit alors : et vous, qui dites-vous que je suis ? Et Pierre répondant lui dit : tu es le Christ de Dieu.

Y les dijo: ¿Y vosotros, quién decís que soy? Entonces respondiendo Simón Pedro, dijo: El Cristo de Dios.

He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “The Christ of God.”

Mais usant de menaces il leur commanda de ne le dire à personne.

Mas él, conminándolos, mandó que á nadie dijesen esto;

And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;

But he warned them and commanded them to tell this to no one,

Et il leur dit : il faut que le Fils de l’homme souffre beaucoup, et qu’il soit rejeté des Anciens, et des principaux Sacrificateurs, et des Scribes, et qu’il soit mis à mort, et qu’il ressuscite le troisième jour.

Diciendo: Es necesario que el Hijo del hombre padezca muchas cosas, y sea desechado de los ancianos, y de los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y de los escribas, y que sea muerto, y resucite al tercer día.

Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.”

Puis il disait à tous : si quelqu’un veut venir après moi, qu’il renonce à soi-même, et qu’il charge de jour en jour sa croix, et me suive.

Y decía á todos: Si alguno quiere venir en pos de mí, niéguese á sí mismo, y tome su cruz cada día, y sígame.

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

Car quiconque voudra sauver sa vie, la perdra ; mais quiconque perdra sa vie pour l’amour de moi, la sauvera.

Porque cualquiera que quisiere salvar su vida, la perderá; y cualquiera que perdiere su vida por causa de mí, éste la salvará.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake will save it.

Et que sert-il à un homme de gagner tout le monde, s’il se détruit lui-même, et se perd lui-même ?

Porque ¿qué aprovecha al hombre, si granjeare todo el mundo, y se pierda él á sí mismo, ó corra peligro de sí?

For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits his own self?

Car quiconque aura eu honte de moi et de mes paroles ; le Fils de l’homme aura honte de lui, quand il viendra en sa gloire, et dans celle du Père, et des saints Anges.

Porque el que se avergonzare de mí y de mis palabras, de este tal el Hijo del hombre se avergonzará cuando viniere en su gloria, y del Padre, y de los santos ángeles.

For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.

For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory, and the glory of the Father, and of the holy angels.

Et je vous dis, en vérité, qu’entre ceux qui sont ici présents, il y en a qui ne mourront point jusqu’à ce qu’ils aient vu le règne de Dieu.

Y os digo en verdad, que hay algunos de los que están aquí, que no gustarán la muerte, hasta que vean el reino de Dios.

But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

But I tell you the truth: There are some of those who stand here who will in no way taste of death until they see God’s Kingdom.”

Or il arriva environ huit jours après ces paroles, qu’il prit avec lui Pierre, et Jean, et Jacques, et qu’il monta sur une montagne pour prier.

Y aconteció como ocho días después de estas palabras, que tomó á Pedro y á Juan y á Jacobo, y subió al monte á orar.

And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.

About eight days after these sayings, he took with him Peter, John, and James, and went up onto the mountain to pray.

Et comme il priait, la forme de son visage devint tout autre, et son vêtement devint blanc en sorte qu’il était resplendissant comme un éclair.

Y entre tanto que oraba, la apariencia de su rostro se hizo otra, y su vestido blanco y resplandeciente.

And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

As he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became white and dazzling.

Et voici, deux personnages, savoir Moïse et Elie, parlaient avec lui.

Y he aquí dos varones que hablaban con él, los cuales eran Moisés y Elías;

And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:

Behold, two men were talking with him, who were Moses and Elijah,

Et ils apparurent environnés de gloire, et ils parlaient de sa mort qu’il devait souffrir à Jérusalem.

Que aparecieron en majestad, y hablaban de su salida, la cual había de cumplir en Jerusalem.

Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.

who appeared in glory and spoke of his departure, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.

Or Pierre et ceux qui étaient avec lui étaient accablés de sommeil ; et quand ils furent réveillés, ils virent sa gloire, et les deux personnages qui étaient avec lui.

Y Pedro y los que estaban con él, estaban cargados de sueño: y como despertaron, vieron su majestad, y á aquellos dos varones que estaban con él.

But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

Now Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep, but when they were fully awake, they saw his glory, and the two men who stood with him.

Et il arriva comme ces personnages se séparaient de lui, que Pierre dit à Jésus : Maître, il est bon que nous soyons ici, faisons-y donc trois tentes, une pour toi, une pour Moïse, et une pour Elie ; ne sachant ce qu’il disait.

Y aconteció, que apartándose ellos de él, Pedro dice á Jesús: Maestro, bien es que nos quedemos aquí: y hagamos tres pabellones, uno para ti, y uno para Moisés, y uno para Elías; no sabiendo lo que se decía.

And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.

As they were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah,” not knowing what he said.

Et comme il disait ces choses, une nuée vint qui les couvrit de son ombre ; et comme ils entraient dans la nuée, ils eurent peur.

Y estando él hablando esto, vino una nube que los cubrió; y tuvieron temor, entrando ellos en la nube.

While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.

While he said these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered into the cloud.

Et une voix vint de la nuée, disant : celui-ci est mon Fils bien-aimé ; écoutez-le.

Y vino una voz de la nube, que decía: Este es mi Hijo amado; á él oid.

And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

A voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him!”

Et comme la voix se prononçait, Jésus se trouva seul. Et ils se turent tous, et ils ne rapportèrent en ces jours-là à personne rien de ce qu’ils avaient vu.

Y pasada aquella voz, Jesús fué hallado solo: y ellos callaron; y por aquellos días no dijeron nada á nadie de lo que habían visto.

And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.

When the voice came, Jesus was found alone. They were silent, and told no one in those days any of the things which they had seen.

Or il arriva le jour suivant, qu’eux étant descendus de la montagne, une grande troupe vint à sa rencontre.

Y aconteció al día siguiente, que apartándose ellos del monte, gran compañía les salió al encuentro.

And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.

On the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, a great multitude met him.

Et voici, un homme de la troupe s’écria, disant : Maître, Je te prie, jette les yeux sur mon fils, car je n’ai que celui-là.

Y he aquí, un hombre de la compañía clamó, diciendo: Maestro, ruégote que veas á mi hijo; que es el único que tengo:

And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.

Behold, a man from the crowd called out, saying, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only born child.

Et voici, un esprit le saisit, qui aussitôt le fait crier, et l’agite avec violence en le faisant écumer, et à peine il se retire de lui, après l’avoir comme brisé.

Y he aquí un espíritu le toma, y de repente da voces; y le despedaza y hace echar espuma, y apenas se aparta de él quebrantándole.

And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him.

Behold, a spirit takes him, he suddenly cries out, and it convulses him so that he foams; and it hardly departs from him, bruising him severely.

Or j’ai prié tes Disciples de le chasser dehors, mais ils n’ont pu.

Y rogué á tus discípulos que le echasen fuera, y no pudieron.

And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.

I begged your disciples to cast it out, and they couldn’t.”

Et Jésus répondant dit : ô génération incrédule et perverse, jusques à quand serai-je avec vous, et vous supporterai-je ? Amène ici ton fils.

Y respondiendo Jesús, dice: ¡Oh generación infiel y perversa! ¿hasta cuándo tengo de estar con vosotros, y os sufriré? Trae tu hijo acá.

And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.

Jesus answered, “Faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.”

Et comme il approchait seulement, le démon l’agita violemment comme s’il l’eût voulu déchirer ; mais Jésus censura fortement l’esprit immonde, et guérit l’enfant, et le rendit à son père.

Y como aun se acercaba, el demonio le derribó y despedazó: mas Jesús increpó al espíritu inmundo, y sanó al muchacho, y se lo volvió á su padre.

And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

While he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him violently. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the boy, and gave him back to his father.

Et tous furent étonnés de la magnifique vertu de Dieu. Et comme tous s’étonnaient de tout ce qu’il faisait, il dit à ses Disciples :

Y todos estaban atónitos de la grandeza de Dios. Y maravillándose todos de todas las cosas que hacía, dijo á sus discípulos:

And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,

They were all astonished at the majesty of God. But while all were marveling at all the things which Jesus did, he said to his disciples,

Vous, écoutez bien ces discours : car il arrivera que le Fils de l’homme sera livré entre les mains des hommes.

Poned vosotros en vuestros oídos estas palabras; porque ha de acontecer que el Hijo del hombre será entregado en manos de hombres.

Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.

“Let these words sink into your ears, for the Son of Man will be delivered up into the hands of men.”

Mais ils ne comprirent point cette parole, et elle leur était tellement obscure, qu’ils ne la comprenaient pas ; et ils craignaient de l’interroger touchant cette parole.

Mas ellos no entendían esta palabra, y les era encubierta para que no la entendiesen; y temían preguntarle de esta palabra.

But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.

But they didn’t understand this saying. It was concealed from them, that they should not perceive it, and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.

Puis ils entrèrent en dispute, pour savoir lequel d’entre eux était le plus grand.

Entonces entraron en disputa, cuál de ellos sería el mayor.

Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.

An argument arose among them about which of them was the greatest.

Mais Jésus voyant la pensée de leur coeur, prit un petit enfant, et le mit auprès de lui ;

Mas Jesús, viendo los pensamientos del corazón de ellos, tomó un niño, y púsole junto á sí,

And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,

Jesus, perceiving the reasoning of their hearts, took a little child, and set him by his side,

Puis il leur dit : quiconque recevra ce petit enfant en mon Nom, il me reçoit ; et quiconque me recevra, il reçoit celui qui m’a envoyé. Car celui qui est le plus petit d’entre vous tous, c’est celui qui sera grand.

Y les dice: Cualquiera que recibiere este niño en mi nombre, á mí recibe; y cualquiera que me recibiere á mí, recibe al que me envió; porque el que fuere el menor entre todos vosotros, éste será el grande.

And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

and said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in my name receives me. Whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For whoever is least among you all, this one will be great.”

Et Jean prenant la parole, dit : Maître, nous avons vu quelqu’un qui chassait les démons en ton Nom, et nous l’en avons empêché parce qu’il ne te suit point avec nous.

Entonces respondiendo Juan, dijo: Maestro, hemos visto á uno que echaba fuera demonios en tu nombre; y se lo prohibimos, porque no sigue con nosotros.

And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.

John answered, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow with us.”

Mais Jésus lui dit : ne l’en empêchez point ; car celui qui n’est pas contre nous, est pour nous.

Jesús le dijo: No se lo prohibáis; porque el que no es contra nosotros, por nosotros es.

And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

Jesus said to him, “Don’t forbid him, for he who is not against us is for us.”

Or il arriva quand les jours de son élévation s’accomplissaient, qu’il dressa sa face, tout résolu d’aller à Jérusalem.

Y aconteció que, como se cumplió el tiempo en que había de ser recibido arriba, él afirmó su rostro para ir á Jerusalem.

And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,

It came to pass, when the days were near that he should be taken up, he intently set his face to go to Jerusalem

Et il envoya devant lui des messagers, qui étant partis entrèrent dans une bourgade des Samaritains, pour lui préparer un logis.

Y envió mensajeros delante de sí, los cuales fueron y entraron en una ciudad de los Samaritanos, para prevenirle.

And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.

and sent messengers before his face. They went and entered into a village of the Samaritans, so as to prepare for him.

Mais les Samaritains ne le reçurent point, parce qu’il paraissait qu’il allait à Jérusalem.

Mas no le recibieron, porque era su traza de ir á Jerusalem.

And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.

They didn’t receive him, because he was traveling with his face set toward Jerusalem.

Et quand Jacques et Jean, ses Disciples, virent cela, ils dirent : Seigneur ! veux-tu que nous disions, comme fit Elie, que le feu descende du ciel, et les consume.

Y viendo esto sus discípulos Jacobo y Juan, dijeron: Señor, ¿quieres que mandemos que descienda fuego del cielo, y los consuma, como hizo Elías?

And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

When his disciples, James and John, saw this, they said, “Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from the sky and destroy them, just as Elijah did?”

Car le Fils de l’homme n’est pas venu pour faire périr les âmes des hommes, mais pour les sauver. Ainsi ils s’en allèrent à une autre bourgade.

For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

Et il arriva comme ils allaient par le chemin, qu’un certain homme lui dit : je te suivrai, Seigneur, partout où tu iras.

Y aconteció que yendo ellos, uno le dijo en el camino: Señor, te seguiré donde quiera que fueres.

And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

As they went on the way, a certain man said to him, “I want to follow you wherever you go, Lord.”

Mais Jésus lui répondit : les renards ont des tanières, et les oiseaux du ciel ont des nids, mais le Fils de l’homme n’a pas où reposer sa tête.

Y le dijo Jesús: Las zorras tienen cuevas, y las aves de los cielos nidos; mas el Hijo del hombre no tiene donde recline la cabeza.

And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

Puis il dit à un autre : suis-moi ; et celui-ci lui répondit : permets-moi premièrement d’aller ensevelir mon père.

Y dijo á otro: Sígueme. Y él dijo: Señor, déjame que primero vaya y entierre á mi padre.

And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

He said to another, “Follow me!” But he said, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”

Et Jésus lui dit : laisse les morts ensevelir leurs morts ; mais toi, va, et annonce le Royaume de Dieu.

Y Jesús le dijo: Deja los muertos que entierren á sus muertos; y tú, ve, y anuncia el reino de Dios.

Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

But Jesus said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead, but you go and announce God’s Kingdom.”

Un autre aussi lui dit : Seigneur, je te suivrai ; mais permets-moi de prendre premièrement congé de ceux qui sont dans ma maison.

Entonces también dijo otro: Te seguiré, Señor; mas déjame que me despida primero de los que están en mi casa.

And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

Another also said, “I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to say good-bye to those who are at my house.”

Mais Jésus lui répondit : nul qui met la main à la charrue, et qui regarde en arrière, n’est bien disposé pour le Royaume de Dieu.

Y Jesús le dijo: Ninguno que poniendo su mano al arado mira atrás, es apto para el reino de Dios.

And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for God’s Kingdom.”
