“Eu sempre amei vocês profundamente”, diz o Senhor. Mas vocês me perguntam: “De que maneira o Senhor nos amou?” E o Senhor responde: “Eu mostrei meu amor por vocês amando seu pai, Jacó.
Yo os he amado, dice Jehová: y dijisteis: ¿En qué nos amaste? ¿No era Esaú hermano de Jacob, dice Jehová, y amé á Jacob,
I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,
“I have loved you,” says the LORD. Yet you say, “How have you loved us?” “Wasn’t Esau Jacob’s brother?” says the LORD, “Yet I loved Jacob;
Cheguei até a rejeitar o irmão de Jacó, Esaú; destruí as montanhas de seu reino e dei aquelas terras aos chacais do deserto”.
Y á Esaú aborrecí, y torné sus montes en asolamiento, y su posesión para los chacales del desierto?
And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
but Esau I hated, and made his mountains a desolation, and gave his heritage to the jackals of the wilderness.”
Se os descendentes de Esaú disserem: “Fomos esmagados, mas vamos reconstruir as ruínas”, o Senhor dos Exércitos dirá: “Podem construir, mas eu destruirei tudo outra vez, porque o país de Esaú será chamado ‘A Terra da Maldade’, e o povo será chamado ‘Aqueles com quem o Senhor ficará irado para sempre’.
Cuando Edom dijere: Nos hemos empobrecido, mas tornemos á edificar lo arruinado; así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Ellos edificarán, y yo destruiré: y les llamarán Provincia de impiedad, y, Pueblo contra quien Jehová se airó para siempre.
Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.
Whereas Edom says, “We are beaten down, but we will return and build the waste places,” the LORD of Armies says, “They shall build, but I will throw down; and men will call them ‘The Wicked Land,’ even the people against whom the LORD shows wrath forever.”
Ó povo de Israel, levantem os olhos e vejam o que Deus está fazendo. Assim, todos dirão: ‘É verdade! O grande poder do Senhor vai muito além das fronteiras de Israel!’ ”
Y vuestros ojos lo verán, y diréis: Sea Jehová engrandecido sobre la provincia de Israel.
And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel.
Your eyes will see, and you will say, “The LORD is great—even beyond the border of Israel!”
“O filho respeita seu pai; o escravo respeita seu senhor. Sacerdotes, se eu sou o pai de vocês, por que não me respeitam? Se eu sou o senhor, por que não me temem?”, pergunta o Senhor dos Exércitos. “Vocês desprezam o meu nome!” “Quem? Nós?”, vocês perguntam. “De que maneira desprezamos o seu nome?”
El hijo honra al padre, y el siervo á su señor: si pues soy yo padre, ¿qué es de mi honra? y si soy señor, ¿qué es de mi temor?, dice Jehová de los ejércitos á vosotros, oh sacerdotes, que menospreciáis mi nombre. Y decís: ¿En qué hemos menospreciado tu nombre?
A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?
“A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If I am a father, then where is my honor? And if I am a master, where is the respect due me?” says the LORD of Armies to you priests who despise my name. “You say, ‘How have we despised your name?’
“Ao oferecerem sacrifícios impuros sobre o meu altar”. E vocês ainda perguntam: “Sacrifícios impuros? Quando fizemos uma coisa dessas?” “Sempre que dizem: ‘Não é necessário trazer as melhores ofertas para entregar ao Senhor’ ”.
Que ofrecéis sobre mi altar pan inmundo. Y dijisteis: ¿En qué te hemos amancillado? En que decís: La mesa de Jehová es despreciable.
Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD is contemptible.
You offer polluted bread on my altar. You say, ‘How have we polluted you?’ In that you say, ‘The LORD’s table is contemptible.’
“Vocês dizem ao povo: ‘Não faz mal oferecer animais cegos sobre o altar do Senhor’. Vocês também não veem mal algum em oferecer animais aleijados ou doentes. Experimentem oferecê-los ao governador! Deem a ele um animal assim como presente e vejam se ele ficará satisfeito! Será que ele os aceitará?”, pergunta o Senhor dos Exércitos.
Y cuando ofrecéis el animal ciego para sacrificar, ¿no es malo? asimismo cuando ofrecéis el cojo ó el enfermo, ¿no es malo? Preséntalo pues á tu príncipe: ¿acaso se agradará de ti, ó le serás acepto? dice Jehová de los ejércitos.
And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.
When you offer the blind for sacrifice, isn’t that evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, isn’t that evil? Present it now to your governor! Will he be pleased with you? Or will he accept your person?” says the LORD of Armies.
“ ‘Deus, tenha compaixão de nós’, vocês repetem em seus pedidos. Mas, trazendo tais ofertas, por que eu deveria conceder alguma graça a vocês?”, pergunta o Senhor dos Exércitos.
Ahora pues, orad á la faz de Dios que tenga piedad de nosotros: esto de vuestra mano vino: ¿le seréis agradables? dice Jehová de los ejércitos.
And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts.
“Now, please entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With this, will he accept any of you?” says the LORD of Armies.
“Quem me dera achar, no meio de todos vocês, um sacerdote que fechasse as portas do templo e recusasse esse tipo de sacrifícios! Eu não tenho prazer em vocês”, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos, “e não aceitarei as suas ofertas.
¿Quién también hay de vosotros que cierre las puertas ó alumbre mi altar de balde? Yo no recibo contentamiento en vosotros, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, ni de vuestra mano me será agradable el presente.
Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
“Oh that there were one among you who would shut the doors, that you might not kindle fire on my altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you,” says the LORD of Armies, “neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
O meu nome, porém, será respeitado pelas outras nações, do oriente até o ocidente. Em todo o mundo os homens oferecerão incenso e sacrifícios puros para me honrar. Isso porque o meu nome será respeitado entre as nações”, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
Porque desde donde el sol nace hasta donde se pone, es grande mi nombre entre las gentes; y en todo lugar se ofrece á mi nombre perfume, y presente limpio: porque grande es mi nombre entre las gentes, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.
For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
For from the rising of the sun even to its going down, my name is great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering; for my name is great among the nations,” says the LORD of Armies.
“Mas vocês desonram o meu nome, dizendo que o meu altar não é importante, e que os animais que sacrificam são desprezíveis.
Y vosotros lo habéis profanado cuando decís: Inmunda es la mesa de Jehová; y cuando hablan que su alimento es despreciable.
But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible.
“But you profane it when you say, ‘The LORD’s table is polluted, and its fruit, even its food, is contemptible.’
Vocês dizem: ‘Ah, é tão difícil servir ao Senhor e fazer o que ele pede!’ ”, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos. “Vocês não dão a mínima importância às leis que eu dei para vocês obedecerem. Animais roubados, aleijados e doentes como ofertas a Deus! Será que posso aceitar ofertas dessa espécie?”, pergunta o Senhor.
Habéis además dicho: ¡Oh qué trabajo! y lo desechasteis, dice Jehová de los ejércitos; y trajisteis lo hurtado, ó cojo, ó enfermo, y presentasteis ofrenda. ¿Seráme acepto eso de vuestra mano? dice Jehová.
Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the LORD.
You say also, ‘Behold, what a weariness it is!’ And you have sniffed at it”, says the LORD of Armies; “and you have brought that which was taken by violence, the lame, and the sick; thus you bring the offering. Should I accept this at your hand?” says the LORD.
“Maldito o homem que promete um carneiro forte de seu rebanho e oferece, como oferta ao Senhor, um animal doente”, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos; “pois eu sou o Grande Rei, e meu nome deve ser profundamente respeitado entre as nações”.
Maldito el engañoso, que tiene macho en su rebaño, y promete, y sacrifica lo dañado á Jehová: porque yo soy Gran Rey, dice Jehová de los ejércitos, y mi nombre es formidable entre las gentes.
But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.
“But the deceiver is cursed who has in his flock a male, and vows and sacrifices to the Lord a defective thing; for I am a great King,” says the LORD of Armies, “and my name is awesome among the nations.”
