Poi, chiamati a sé i suoi dodici discepoli, diede loro potestà di cacciare gli spiriti immondi, e di sanare qualunque malattia e qualunque infermità.

ENTONCES llamando á sus doce discípulos, les dió potestad contra los espíritus inmundos, para que los echasen fuera, y sanasen toda enfermedad y toda dolencia.

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Questi dodici mandò Gesù, dando loro queste istruzioni: Non andate fra i Gentili, e non entrate in alcuna città de’ Samaritani,

A estos doce envió Jesús, á los cuales dió mandamiento, diciendo: Por el camino de los Gentiles no iréis, y en ciudad de Samaritanos no entréis;

These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

E andando, predicate e dite: Il regno de’ cieli è vicino.

Y yendo, predicad, diciendo: El reino de los cielos se ha acercado.

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Sanate gl’infermi, risuscitate i morti, mondate i lebbrosi, cacciate i demoni; gratuitamente avete ricevuto, gratuitamente date.

Sanad enfermos, limpiad leprosos, resucitad muertos, echad fuera demonios: de gracia recibisteis, dad de gracia.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give.

Non fate provvisione né d’oro, né d’argento, né di rame nelle vostre cinture,

No aprestéis oro, ni plata, ni cobre en vuestras bolsas;

Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,

Don’t take any gold, silver, or brass in your money belts.

né di sacca da viaggio, né di due tuniche, né di calzari, né di bastone, perché l’operaio è degno del suo nutrimento.

Ni alforja para el camino, ni dos ropas de vestir, ni zapatos, ni bordón; porque el obrero digno es de su alimento.

Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

Take no bag for your journey, neither two coats, nor sandals, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.

Or in qualunque città o villaggio sarete entrati, informatevi chi sia ivi degno, e dimorate da lui finché partiate.

Mas en cualquier ciudad, ó aldea donde entrareis, investigad quién sea en ella digno, y reposad allí hasta que salgáis.

And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.

Into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy, and stay there until you go on.

E quando entrerete nella casa, salutatela.

Y entrando en la casa, saludadla.

And when ye come into an house, salute it.

As you enter into the household, greet it.

E se quella casa n’è degna, venga la pace vostra su lei: se poi non ne è degna la vostra pace torni a voi.

Y si la casa fuere digna, vuestra paz vendrá sobre ella; mas si no fuere digna, vuestra paz se volverá á vosotros.

And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

If the household is worthy, let your peace come on it, but if it isn’t worthy, let your peace return to you.

E se alcuno non vi riceve né ascolta le vostre parole, uscendo da quella casa o da quella città, scotete la polvere da’ vostri piedi.

Y cualquiera que no os recibiere, ni oyere vuestras palabras, salid de aquella casa ó ciudad, y sacudid el polvo de vuestros pies.

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

Whoever doesn’t receive you or hear your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet.

In verità io vi dico che il paese di Sodoma e di Gomorra, nel giorno del giudizio, sarà trattato con meno rigore di quella città.

De cierto os digo, que el castigo será más tolerable á la tierra de los de Sodoma y de los de Gomorra en el día del juicio, que á aquella ciudad.

Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Most certainly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.

Ecco, io vi mando come pecore in mezzo ai lupi; siate dunque prudenti come i serpenti e semplici come le colombe.

He aquí, yo os envío como á ovejas en medio de lobos: sed pues prudentes como serpientes, y sencillos como palomas.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

“Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

E guardatevi dagli uomini; perché vi metteranno in man de’ tribunali e vi flagelleranno nelle loro sinagoghe;

Y guardaos de los hombres: porque os entregarán en concilios, y en sus sinagogas os azotarán;

But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

e sarete menati davanti a governatori e re per cagion mia, per servir di testimonianza dinanzi a loro ed ai Gentili.

Y aun á príncipes y á reyes seréis llevados por causa de mí, por testimonio á ellos y á los Gentiles.

And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

Yes, and you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations.

Ma quando vi metteranno nelle loro mani, non siate in ansietà del come parlerete o di quel che avrete a dire; perché in quell’ora stessa vi sarà dato ciò che avrete a dire.

Mas cuando os entregaren, no os apuréis por cómo ó qué hablaréis; porque en aquella hora os será dado qué habéis de hablar.

But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

But when they deliver you up, don’t be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say.

Poiché non siete voi che parlate, ma è lo Spirito del Padre vostro che parla in voi.

Porque no sois vosotros los que habláis, sino el Espíritu de vuestro Padre que habla en vosotros.

For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

Or il fratello darà il fratello a morte, e il padre il figliuolo; e i figliuoli si leveranno contro i genitori e li faranno morire.

Y el hermano entregará al hermano á la muerte, y el padre al hijo; y los hijos se levantarán contra los padres, y los harán morir.

And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

“Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.

E sarete odiati da tutti a cagion del mio nome; ma chi avrà perseverato sino alla fine sarà salvato.

Y seréis aborrecidos de todos por mi nombre; mas el que soportare hasta el fin, éste será salvo.

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.

E quando vi perseguiteranno in una città, fuggite in un’altra; perché io vi dico in verità che non avrete finito di percorrere le città d’Israele, prima che il Figliuol dell’uomo sia venuto.

Mas cuando os persiguieren en esta ciudad, huid á la otra: porque de cierto os digo, que no acabaréis de andar todas las ciudades de Israel, que no venga el Hijo del hombre.

But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most certainly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man has come.

Un discepolo non è da più del maestro, né un servo da più del suo signore.

El discípulo no es más que su maestro, ni el siervo más que su señor.

The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.

Basti al discepolo di essere come il suo maestro, e al servo d’essere come il suo signore. Se hanno chiamato Beelzebub il padrone, quanto più chiameranno così quei di casa sua!

Bástale al discípulo ser como su maestro, y al siervo como su señor. Si al padre de la familia llamaron Beelzebub, ¿cuánto más á los de su casa?

It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household!

Non li temete dunque; poiché non v’è niente di nascosto che non abbia ad essere scoperto, né di occulto che non abbia a venire a notizia.

Así que, no los temáis; porque nada hay encubierto, que no haya de ser manifestado; ni oculto, que no haya de saberse.

Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

Therefore don’t be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.

Quello ch’io vi dico nelle tenebre, ditelo voi nella luce; e quel che udite dettovi all’orecchio, predicatelo sui tetti.

Lo que os digo en tinieblas, decidlo en la luz; y lo que oís al oído predicadlo desde los terrados.

What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.

E non temete coloro che uccidono il corpo, ma non possono uccider l’anima; temete piuttosto colui che può far perire e l’anima e il corpo nella geenna.

Y no temáis á los que matan el cuerpo, mas al alma no pueden matar: temed antes á aquel que puede destruir el alma y el cuerpo en el infierno.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

Due passeri non si vendon essi per un soldo? Eppure non ne cade uno solo in terra senza il volere del Padre vostro.

¿No se venden dos pajarillos por un cuarto? Con todo, ni uno de ellos cae á tierra sin vuestro Padre.

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

“Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.

Ma quant’è a voi, perfino i capelli del vostro capo son tutti contati.

Pues aun vuestros cabellos están todos contados.

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Non temete dunque; voi siete da più di molti passeri.

Así que, no temáis: más valéis vosotros que muchos pajarillos.

Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.

Chiunque dunque mi riconoscerà davanti agli uomini, anch’io riconoscerò lui davanti al Padre mio che è ne’ cieli.

Cualquiera pues, que me confesare delante de los hombres, le confesaré yo también delante de mi Padre que está en los cielos.

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Everyone therefore who confesses me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven.

Ma chiunque mi rinnegherà davanti agli uomini, anch’io rinnegherò lui davanti al Padre mio che è nei cieli.

Y cualquiera que me negare delante de los hombres, le negaré yo también delante de mi Padre que está en los cielos.

But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

But whoever denies me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven.

Non pensate ch’io sia venuto a metter pace sulla terra; non son venuto a metter pace, ma spada.

No penséis que he venido para meter paz en la tierra: no he venido para meter paz, sino espada.

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

“Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword.

Perché son venuto a dividere il figlio da suo padre, e la figlia da sua madre, e la nuora dalla suocera;

Porque he venido para hacer disensión del hombre contra su padre, y de la hija contra su madre, y de la nuera contra su suegra.

For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

For I came to set a man at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

e i nemici dell’uomo saranno quelli stessi di casa sua.

Y los enemigos del hombre serán los de su casa.

And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.

A man’s foes will be those of his own household.

Chi ama padre o madre più di me, non è degno di me; e chi ama figliuolo o figliuola più di me, non è degno di me;

El que ama padre ó madre más que á mí, no es digno de mí; y el que ama hijo ó hija más que á mí, no es digno de mí.

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me isn’t worthy of me.

e chi non prende la sua croce e non vien dietro a me, non è degno di me.

Y el que no toma su cruz, y sigue en pos de mí, no es digno de mí.

And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

He who doesn’t take his cross and follow after me isn’t worthy of me.

Chi avrà trovato la vita sua la perderà; e chi avrà perduto la sua vita per cagion mia, la troverà.

El que hallare su vida, la perderá; y el que perdiere su vida por causa de mí, la hallará.

He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.

Chi riceve voi riceve me; e chi riceve me, riceve colui che mi ha mandato.

El que os recibe á vosotros, á mí recibe; y el que á mí recibe, recibe al que me envió.

He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

“He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.

Chi riceve un profeta come profeta, riceverà premio di profeta; e chi riceve un giusto come giusto, riceverà premio di giusto.

El que recibe profeta en nombre de profeta, merced de profeta recibirá; y el que recibe justo en nombre de justo, merced de justo recibirá.

He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. He who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.

E chi avrà dato da bere soltanto un bicchier d’acqua fresca ad uno di questi piccoli, perché è un mio discepolo, io vi dico in verità che non perderà punto il suo premio.

Y cualquiera que diere á uno de estos pequeñitos un vaso de agua fría solamente, en nombre de discípulo, de cierto os digo, que no perderá su recompensa.

And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.”
