A estos doce envió Jesús dándoles las siguientes instrucciones: No vayáis ahora a tierra de gentiles, ni tampoco entréis en poblaciones de samaritanos.
A estos doce envió Jesús, á los cuales dió mandamiento, diciendo: Por el camino de los Gentiles no iréis, y en ciudad de Samaritanos no entréis;

Y en prueba de vuestra doctrina, curad enfermos, resucitad muertos, limpiad leprosos, lanzad demonios. Dad gratuitamente lo que gratuitamente habéis recibido.
Sanad enfermos, limpiad leprosos, resucitad muertos, echad fuera demonios: de gracia recibisteis, dad de gracia.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

No llevéis oro, ni plata, ni dinero alguno en vuestros bolsillos,
No aprestéis oro, ni plata, ni cobre en vuestras bolsas;
Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
Don’t take any gold, silver, or brass in your money belts.
ni alforja para el viaje, ni más de una túnica y un calzado, ni tampoco palo u otra arma para defenderos; porque el que trabaja merece que lo sustenten.
Ni alforja para el camino, ni dos ropas de vestir, ni zapatos, ni bordón; porque el obrero digno es de su alimento.
Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
Take no bag for your journey, neither two coats, nor sandals, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.
En cualquier ciudad o aldea en que entrareis, informaos quién hay en ella hombre de bien, o que sea digno de alojaros, y permaneced en su casa hasta vuestra partida.
Mas en cualquier ciudad, ó aldea donde entrareis, investigad quién sea en ella digno, y reposad allí hasta que salgáis.
And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
Into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy, and stay there until you go on.
Al entrar en la casa, el saludo ha de ser: La paz sea en esta casa.
Y entrando en la casa, saludadla.
And when ye come into an house, salute it.
As you enter into the household, greet it.
Que si la casa la merece, vendrá vuestra paz a ella; mas si no la merece, vuestra paz se volverá con vosotros.
Y si la casa fuere digna, vuestra paz vendrá sobre ella; mas si no fuere digna, vuestra paz se volverá á vosotros.
And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
If the household is worthy, let your peace come on it, but if it isn’t worthy, let your peace return to you.
Caso que no quieran recibiros, ni escuchar vuestras palabras, saliendo fuera de la casa o ciudad, sacudid el polvo de vuestros pies.
Y cualquiera que no os recibiere, ni oyere vuestras palabras, salid de aquella casa ó ciudad, y sacudid el polvo de vuestros pies.
And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
Whoever doesn’t receive you or hear your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet.
En verdad os digo que Sodoma y Gomorra serán tratadas con menos rigor en el día del juicio, que esa ciudad.
De cierto os digo, que el castigo será más tolerable á la tierra de los de Sodoma y de los de Gomorra en el día del juicio, que á aquella ciudad.
Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Most certainly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.
Mirad que yo os envío como ovejas en medio de lobos; por tanto, habéis de ser prudentes como serpientes, y sencillos como palomas.

Si bien cuando os hicieren comparecer, no os dé cuidado el cómo o lo que habéis de hablar, porque os será dado en aquella misma hora lo que hayáis de decir;
Mas cuando os entregaren, no os apuréis por cómo ó qué hablaréis; porque en aquella hora os será dado qué habéis de hablar.
But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
But when they deliver you up, don’t be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say.
puesto que no sois vosotros quien habla entonces, sino el espíritu de vuestro Padre, el cual habla por vosotros.

For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

Entonces un hermano entregará a su hermano a la muerte, y el padre al hijo; y los hijos se levantarán contra los padres, y los harán morir;

And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

y vosotros vendréis a ser odiados de todos por causa de mi nombre; pero quien perseverare hasta el fin, éste se salvará.
Y seréis aborrecidos de todos por mi nombre; mas el que soportare hasta el fin, éste será salvo.
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.
Entretanto, cuando en una ciudad os persigan, huid a otra. En verdad os digo que no acabaréis de convertir a las ciudades de Israel antes que venga el Hijo del hombre.
Mas cuando os persiguieren en esta ciudad, huid á la otra: porque de cierto os digo, que no acabaréis de andar todas las ciudades de Israel, que no venga el Hijo del hombre.
But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most certainly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man has come.
No es el discípulo más que su maestro, ni el siervo más que su amo.
El discípulo no es más que su maestro, ni el siervo más que su señor.
The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord.
Baste al discípulo el ser tratado como su maestro, y al criado como su amo. Si al padre de familia le han llamado Beelzebub, ¿cuánto más a sus domésticos?
Bástale al discípulo ser como su maestro, y al siervo como su señor. Si al padre de la familia llamaron Beelzebub, ¿cuánto más á los de su casa?
It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household!
Pero por eso no les tengáis miedo, porque nada está encubierto que no se haya de descubrir, ni oculto que no se haya de saber.
Así que, no los temáis; porque nada hay encubierto, que no haya de ser manifestado; ni oculto, que no haya de saberse.
Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
Therefore don’t be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
Lo que os digo de noche, decidlo a la luz del día; y lo que os digo al oído predicadlo desde los terrados.
Lo que os digo en tinieblas, decidlo en la luz; y lo que oís al oído predicadlo desde los terrados.
What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops.
Nada temáis a los que matan el cuerpo y no pueden matar el alma. Temed antes al que puede arrojar alma y cuerpo en el infierno.
Y no temáis á los que matan el cuerpo, mas al alma no pueden matar: temed antes á aquel que puede destruir el alma y el cuerpo en el infierno.
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
¿No es así que dos pájaros se venden por un cuarto, y, no obstante, ni uno de ellos caerá en tierra sin que lo disponga vuestro Padre?
¿No se venden dos pajarillos por un cuarto? Con todo, ni uno de ellos cae á tierra sin vuestro Padre.
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
“Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.
Hasta los cabellos de vuestra cabeza están todos contados.
Pues aun vuestros cabellos están todos contados.
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

No tenéis, pues, que temer; valéis vosotros más que muchos pájaros.
Así que, no temáis: más valéis vosotros que muchos pajarillos.
Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

En suma, a todo aquel que me reconociere y confesare por Mesías delante de los hombres, yo también le reconoceré y declararé por él delante de mi Padre que está en los cielos.
Cualquiera pues, que me confesare delante de los hombres, le confesaré yo también delante de mi Padre que está en los cielos.
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
Everyone therefore who confesses me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven.
Mas a quien me negare delante de los hombres, yo también le negaré delante de mi Padre que está en los cielos.

No tenéis que pensar que yo haya venido a traer la paz a la tierra; no he venido a traer la paz, sino la guerra;

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
“Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword.
pues he venido a separar al hijo de su padre, y a la hija de su madre, y a la nuera de su suegra;
Porque he venido para hacer disensión del hombre contra su padre, y de la hija contra su madre, y de la nuera contra su suegra.
For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
For I came to set a man at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
y los enemigos del hombre serán las personas de su misma casa.
Y los enemigos del hombre serán los de su casa.
And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
A man’s foes will be those of his own household.
Quien ama al padre o a la madre más que a mí, no merece ser mío; y quien ama al hijo o a la hija más que a mí, tampoco merece ser mío.
El que ama padre ó madre más que á mí, no es digno de mí; y el que ama hijo ó hija más que á mí, no es digno de mí.
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me isn’t worthy of me.
Y quien no carga con su cruz y me sigue, no es digno de mí.
Y el que no toma su cruz, y sigue en pos de mí, no es digno de mí.
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
He who doesn’t take his cross and follow after me isn’t worthy of me.
Quien a costa de su alma conserva su vida la perderá; y quien perdiere su vida por amor mío, la volverá a hallar.
El que hallare su vida, la perderá; y el que perdiere su vida por causa de mí, la hallará.
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.
Quien a vosotros recibe, a mí me recibe; y quien a mí me recibe, recibe a aquel que me ha enviado a mí.
El que os recibe á vosotros, á mí recibe; y el que á mí recibe, recibe al que me envió.
He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
“He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me.
El que hospeda a un profeta en atención a que es profeta, recibirá premio de profeta; y el que hospeda a un justo en atención a que es justo, tendrá galardón de justo.
El que recibe profeta en nombre de profeta, merced de profeta recibirá; y el que recibe justo en nombre de justo, merced de justo recibirá.
He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. He who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.
Y cualquiera que diere de beber a uno de estos pequeñuelos un vaso de agua fresca solamente por razón de ser discípulo mío, os doy mi palabra que no perderá su recompensa.
Y cualquiera que diere á uno de estos pequeñitos un vaso de agua fría solamente, en nombre de discípulo, de cierto os digo, que no perderá su recompensa.
And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.”
