Wenn ihr aber wüßtet, was das sei: “Ich habe Wohlgefallen an der Barmherzigkeit und nicht am Opfer”, hättet ihr die Unschuldigen nicht verdammt.

Mas si supieseis qué es: Misericordia quiero y no sacrificio, no condenaríais á los inocentes:

But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you wouldn’t have condemned the guiltless.
