Naquele tempo Herodes, o tetrarca, ouviu relato a respeito de Jesus,
EN aquel tiempo Herodes el tetrarca oyó la fama de Jesús,
At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,

e disse aos seus servos: Este é João Batista; ele ressuscitou dos mortos, e por isso os milagres operam nele.

Porque Herodes havia prendido a João, acorrentado-o, e posto na prisão, por causa de Herodias, mulher do seu irmão Filipe;

pois João lhe dizia: Não te lícito que a tenhas.

Herodes queria matá-lo, mas tinha medo do povo, pois o consideravam profeta.

And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath’s sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.

Então mandou degolarem João na prisão.

Depois de Jesus ouvir, retirou-se dali num barco, a um lugar deserto, sozinho; mas assim que as multidões ouviram acerca disso, seguiram-no a pé das cidades.

Quando Jesus saiu, viu uma grande multidão. Ele se compadeceu deles, e curou dentre eles os enfermos.
Y saliendo Jesús, vió un gran gentío, y tuvo compasión de ellos, y sanó á los que de ellos había enfermos.
And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

E chegando o entardecer, os discípulos se aproximaram dele, e disseram: O lugar é deserto, e já é tarde. Despede as multidões, para irem às aldeias, e comprarem para si de comer.
Y cuando fué la tarde del día, se llegaron á él sus discípulos, diciendo: El lugar es desierto, y el tiempo es ya pasado: despide las gentes, para que se vayan por las aldeas, y compren para sí de comer.
And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.
When evening had come, his disciples came to him, saying, “This place is deserted, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food.”
Mas Jesus lhes respondeu: Eles não precisam ir. Vós mesmos, dai-lhes de comer.
Y Jesús les dijo: No tienen necesidad de irse: dadles vosotros de comer.
But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

E eles lhe disseram: Nada temos aqui além de cinco pães e dois peixes.
Y ellos dijeron: No tenemos aquí sino cinco panes y dos peces.
And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

Então disse: Trazei-os aqui a mim.

Ele mandou às multidões que se sentassem sobre a grama. Então tomou os cinco pães e os dois peixes, levantou os olhos ao céu, e os abençoou. Em seguida partiu os pães, deu-os aos discípulos, e os discípulos às multidões.
Y mandando á las gentes recostarse sobre la hierba, tomando los cinco panes y los dos peces, alzando los ojos al cielo, bendijo, y partió y dió los panes á los discípulos, y los discípulos á las gentes.

E logo Jesus mandou os discípulos entrarem no barco, e que fossem adiante dele para a outra margem, enquanto ele despedia as multidões.
Y luego Jesús hizo á sus discípulos entrar en el barco, é ir delante de él á la otra parte del lago, entre tanto que él despedía á las gentes.
And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
Depois de despedir as multidões, subiu ao monte, à parte, para orar. Tendo chegado a noite, ele estava ali sozinho.
Y despedidas las gentes, subió al monte, apartado, á orar: y como fué la tarde del día, estaba allí solo.
And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

E o barco já estava a vários estádios de distância da terra, atormentado pelas ondas, porque o vento era contrário.

Entonces le respondió Pedro, y dijo: Señor, si tú eres, manda que yo vaya á ti sobre las aguas.
And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

E ele disse: Vem. Então Pedro desceu do barco e andou sobre as águas, e foi em direção a Jesus.

And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
He said, “Come!” Peter stepped down from the boat and walked on the waters to come to Jesus.
Mas quando viu o vento, teve medo; e começando a afundar, gritou: Senhor, salva-me!
Mas viendo el viento fuerte, tuvo miedo; y comenzándose á hundir, dió voces, diciendo: Señor, sálvame.
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
Imediatamente Jesus estendeu a mão, segurou-o, e disse-lhe: Homem de pouca fé, por que duvidaste?
Y luego Jesús, extendiendo la mano, trabó de él, y le dice: Oh hombre de poca fe, ¿por qué dudaste?
And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”
E quando subiram no barco, o vento se aquietou.
Y como ellos entraron en el barco, sosegóse el viento.
And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
When they got up into the boat, the wind ceased.
Então os que estavam no barco vieram e o adoraram, dizendo: Verdadeiramente tu és o Filho de Deus.
Entonces los que estaban en el barco, vinieron y le adoraron, diciendo: Verdaderamente eres Hijo de Dios.
Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
Those who were in the boat came and worshiped him, saying, “You are truly the Son of God!”
E havendo passado para a outra margem, chegaram à terra de Genesaré.
Y llegando á la otra parte, vinieron á la tierra de Genezaret.
And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.
When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret.
E quando os homens daquele lugar o reconheceram, deram aviso por toda aquela região ao redor, e lhe trouxeram todos os que estavam enfermos.
Y como le conocieron los hombres de aquel lugar, enviaron por toda aquella tierra alrededor, y trajeron á él todos los enfermos;
And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;
When the people of that place recognized him, they sent into all that surrounding region and brought to him all who were sick;
E rogavam-lhe que tão somente tocassem a borda de sua roupa; e todos os que tocavam ficaram curados.
Y le rogaban que solamente tocasen el borde de su manto; y todos los que tocaron, quedaron sanos.
And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.
and they begged him that they might just touch the fringe of his garment. As many as touched it were made whole.
