Darum verhieß er ihr mit einem Eide, er wollte ihr geben, was sie fordern würde.

EN aquel tiempo Herodes el tetrarca oyó la fama de Jesús,

Und als sie zuvor von ihrer Mutter zugerichtet war, sprach sie: Gib mir her auf einer Schüssel das Haupt Johannes des Täufers!

Y dijo á sus criados: Este es Juan el Bautista: él ha resucitado de los muertos, y por eso virtudes obran en él.

And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

and said to his servants, “This is John the Baptizer. He is risen from the dead. That is why these powers work in him.”

Und der König ward traurig; doch um des Eides willen und derer, die mit ihm zu Tische saßen, befahl er's ihr zu geben.

Porque Herodes había prendido á Juan, y le había aprisionado y puesto en la cárcel, por causa de Herodías, mujer de Felipe su hermano;

For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife.

Und schickte hin und enthauptete Johannes im Gefängnis.

Da das Jesus hörete, wich er von dannen auf einem Schiff in eine Wüste allein. Und da das Volk das hörete, folgte es ihm nach zu Fuß aus den Städten.

Y prometió él con juramento de darle todo lo que pidiese.

Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.

Und Jesus ging hervor und sah das große Volk; und es jammerte ihn derselbigen und heilete ihre Kranken.

Am Abend aber traten seine Jünger zu ihm und sprachen: Dies ist eine Wüste, und die Nacht fällt daher; laß das Volk von dir, daß sie hin in die Märkte gehen und ihnen Speise kaufen.

Entonces el rey se entristeció; mas por el juramento, y por los que estaban juntamente á la mesa, mandó que se le diese.

And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath’s sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.

Aber Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Es ist nicht not, daß sie hingehen; gebt ihr ihnen zu essen!

Entonces llegaron sus discípulos, y tomaron el cuerpo, y lo enterraron; y fueron, y dieron las nuevas á Jesús.

Und er hieß das Volk sich lagern auf das Gras und nahm die fünf Brote und die zwei Fische, sah auf gen Himmel und dankte und brach's und gab die Brote den Jüngern, und die Jünger gaben sie dem Volk.

Y oyéndolo Jesús, se apartó de allí en un barco á un lugar descierto, apartado: y cuando las gentes lo oyeron, le siguieron á pie de las ciudades.

When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.

Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat to a deserted place apart. When the multitudes heard it, they followed him on foot from the cities.

Und sie aßen alle und wurden satt und huben auf, was übrigblieb von Brocken, zwölf Körbe voll.

Y saliendo Jesús, vió un gran gentío, y tuvo compasión de ellos, y sanó á los que de ellos había enfermos.

And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Die aber gegessen hatten, der waren bei fünftausend Mann ohne Weiber und Kinder.

Y cuando fué la tarde del día, se llegaron á él sus discípulos, diciendo: El lugar es desierto, y el tiempo es ya pasado: despide las gentes, para que se vayan por las aldeas, y compren para sí de comer.

And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.

When evening had come, his disciples came to him, saying, “This place is deserted, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food.”

Und alsbald trieb Jesus seine Jünger, daß sie in das Schiff traten und vor ihm herüberfuhren, bis er das Volk von sich ließe.

Y Jesús les dijo: No tienen necesidad de irse: dadles vosotros de comer.

But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

But Jesus said to them, “They don’t need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

Und da er das Volk von sich gelassen hatte, stieg er auf einen Berg alleine, daß er betete. Und am Abend war er alleine daselbst.

Y ellos dijeron: No tenemos aquí sino cinco panes y dos peces.

And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

They told him, “We only have here five loaves and two fish.”

Und das Schiff war schon mitten, auf dem Meer und litt Not von den Wellen; denn der Wind war ihnen wider.

Y él les dijo: Traédmelos acá.

He said, Bring them hither to me.

He said, “Bring them here to me.”

Aber in der vierten Nachtwache kam Jesus zu ihnen und ging auf dem Meer.

Y mandando á las gentes recostarse sobre la hierba, tomando los cinco panes y los dos peces, alzando los ojos al cielo, bendijo, y partió y dió los panes á los discípulos, y los discípulos á las gentes.

And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

Und da ihn die Jünger sahen auf dem Meer gehen, erschraken sie und sprachen: Es ist ein Gespenst! und schrieen vor Furcht.

Y comieron todos, y se hartaron; y alzaron lo que sobró de los pedazos, doce cestas llenas.

And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

They all ate and were filled. They took up twelve baskets full of that which remained left over from the broken pieces.

Und alsbald redete Jesus mit ihnen und sprach: Seid getrost, ich bin's; fürchtet euch nicht!

Y los que comieron fueron como cinco mil hombres, sin las mujeres y los niños.

And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

Petrus aber antwortete ihm und sprach: HERR, bist du es, so heiß mich zu dir kommen auf dem Wasser.

Y luego Jesús hizo á sus discípulos entrar en el barco, é ir delante de él á la otra parte del lago, entre tanto que él despedía á las gentes.

And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.

Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.

Und er sprach: Komm her! Und Petrus trat aus dem Schiff und ging auf dem Wasser, daß er zu Jesu käme.

Y despedidas las gentes, subió al monte, apartado, á orar: y como fué la tarde del día, estaba allí solo.

And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

Er sah aber einen starken Wind. Da erschrak er und hub an zu sinken, schrie und sprach: HERR, hilf mir!

Y ya el barco estaba en medio de la mar, atormentado de las ondas; porque el viento era contrario.

But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, distressed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.

Jesus aber reckte bald die Hand aus und ergriff ihn und sprach zu ihm: O du Kleingläubiger, warum zweifeltest du?

Mas á la cuarta vela de la noche, Jesús fué á ellos andando sobre la mar.

And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

Und sie traten in das Schiff, und der Wind legte sich.

Y los discípulos, viéndole andar sobre la mar, se turbaron, diciendo: Fantasma es. Y dieron voces de miedo.

And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

Die aber im Schiff waren, kamen und fielen vor ihm nieder und sprachen: Du bist wahrlich Gottes Sohn.

Mas luego Jesús les habló, diciendo: Confiad, yo soy; no tengáis miedo.

But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”

Und sie schifften hinüber und kämen in das Land Genezareth.

Entonces le respondió Pedro, y dijo: Señor, si tú eres, manda que yo vaya á ti sobre las aguas.

And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters.”

Und da die Leute am selbigen Ort sein gewahr wurden, schickten sie aus in das ganze Land umher und brachten allerlei Ungesunde zu ihm

Y él dijo: Ven. Y descendiendo Pedro del barco, andaba sobre las aguas para ir á Jesús.

And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

He said, “Come!” Peter stepped down from the boat and walked on the waters to come to Jesus.

und baten ihn, daß sie nur seines Kleides Saum anrühreten. Und alle, die da anrühreten, wurden gesund.

Mas viendo el viento fuerte, tuvo miedo; y comenzándose á hundir, dió voces, diciendo: Señor, sálvame.

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

Da kamen zu ihm die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer von Jerusalem und sprachen:

Y luego Jesús, extendiendo la mano, trabó de él, y le dice: Oh hombre de poca fe, ¿por qué dudaste?

And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Warum übertreten deine Jünger der Ältesten Aufsätze? Sie waschen ihre Hände nicht, wenn sie Brot essen.

Y como ellos entraron en el barco, sosegóse el viento.

And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

When they got up into the boat, the wind ceased.

Er antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Warum übertretet denn ihr Gottes Gebot um eurer Aufsätze willen?

Entonces los que estaban en el barco, vinieron y le adoraron, diciendo: Verdaderamente eres Hijo de Dios.

Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

Those who were in the boat came and worshiped him, saying, “You are truly the Son of God!”

Gott hat geboten: Du sollst Vater und Mutter ehren; wer aber Vater und Mutter flucht, der soll des Todes sterben.

Y llegando á la otra parte, vinieron á la tierra de Genezaret.

And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.

When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret.

Aber ihr lehret: Wer zum Vater oder zur Mutter spricht: Wenn ich's opfere, so ist's dir viel nützer, der tut wohl.

Y como le conocieron los hombres de aquel lugar, enviaron por toda aquella tierra alrededor, y trajeron á él todos los enfermos;

And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;

When the people of that place recognized him, they sent into all that surrounding region and brought to him all who were sick;

Damit geschiehet es, daß niemand hinfort seinen Vater oder seine Mutter ehret; und habt also Gottes Gebot aufgehoben um eurer Aufsätze willen.

Y le rogaban que solamente tocasen el borde de su manto; y todos los que tocaron, quedaron sanos.

And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

and they begged him that they might just touch the fringe of his garment. As many as touched it were made whole.
