Mateo 14

Naquele tempo, Herodes, o tetrarca, ouviu as notícias sobre Jesus.

EN aquel tiempo Herodes el tetrarca oyó la fama de Jesús,

At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,

Ele disse aos seus servos: "Esse é João, o Batista; ele ressuscitou dos mortos, por isso esses poderes estão operando Nele".

Y dijo á sus criados: Este es Juan el Bautista: él ha resucitado de los muertos, y por eso virtudes obran en él.

And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

and said to his servants, “This is John the Baptizer. He is risen from the dead. That is why these powers work in him.”

Pois Herodes o havia prendido, amarrado e colocado na prisão, por causa de Herodias, a esposa de seu irmão Filipe,

Porque Herodes había prendido á Juan, y le había aprisionado y puesto en la cárcel, por causa de Herodías, mujer de Felipe su hermano;

For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife.

porque João havia lhe dito: "Não é legítimo tê-la como tua esposa".

Porque Juan le decía: No te es lícito tenerla.

For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.

Herodes teria mandado matá-lo, mas ele temeu o povo, porque eles o consideravam um profeta.

Y quería matarle, mas temía al pueblo; porque le tenían como á profeta.

And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.

Mas, quando o aniversário de Herodes chegou, a filha de Herodias dançou no meio dos convidados e agradou a Herodes.

But when Herod’s birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.

Em resposta, ele prometeu com um juramento que daria a ela qualquer coisa que ela pedisse.

Y prometió él con juramento de darle todo lo que pidiese.

Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.

Therefore he promised with an oath to give her whatever she should ask.

Após ser instruída por sua mãe, ela disse: "Dá-me aqui, em um prato, a cabeça de João, o Batista".

Y ella, instruída primero de su madre, dijo: Dame aquí en un plato la cabeza de Juan el Bautista.

And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist’s head in a charger.

She, being prompted by her mother, said, “Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptizer.”

O rei ficou muito triste com o pedido dela, mas, por causa do seu juramento e por causa de todos os que estavam no jantar com ele, ordenou que isso deveria ser feito.

Entonces el rey se entristeció; mas por el juramento, y por los que estaban juntamente á la mesa, mandó que se le diese.

And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath’s sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.

The king was grieved, but for the sake of his oaths and of those who sat at the table with him, he commanded it to be given,

Ele enviou soldados, os quais decapitaram João na prisão.

Y enviando, degolló á Juan en la cárcel.

Então sua cabeça foi trazida em um prato e dada à menina e ela a levou para a sua mãe.

And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.

Então seus discípulos vieram, pegaram o corpo e o enterraram. Após isso, eles foram e contaram a Jesus.

Entonces llegaron sus discípulos, y tomaron el cuerpo, y lo enterraron; y fueron, y dieron las nuevas á Jesús.

And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.

Quando Jesus ouviu o que havia acontecido, retirou-se de lá, em um barco, para um lugar isolado. Ao ouvir isso, as multidões O seguiram a pé, vindas das cidades.

Y oyéndolo Jesús, se apartó de allí en un barco á un lugar descierto, apartado: y cuando las gentes lo oyeron, le siguieron á pie de las ciudades.

When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.

Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat to a deserted place apart. When the multitudes heard it, they followed him on foot from the cities.

Então Jesus desembarcou, viu a grande multidão, teve compaixão dela e curou seus doentes.

Y saliendo Jesús, vió un gran gentío, y tuvo compasión de ellos, y sanó á los que de ellos había enfermos.

And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Jesus went out, and he saw a great multitude. He had compassion on them and healed their sick.

Quando o fim da tarde chegou, os discípulos vieram a Ele e disseram: "Este é um lugar deserto e o dia já terminou. Despede as multidões, para que elas possam ir às vilas e comprar comida para si".

Y cuando fué la tarde del día, se llegaron á él sus discípulos, diciendo: El lugar es desierto, y el tiempo es ya pasado: despide las gentes, para que se vayan por las aldeas, y compren para sí de comer.

And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.

When evening had come, his disciples came to him, saying, “This place is deserted, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food.”

Mas Jesus disse-lhes: "Eles não precisam ir embora, dai-lhes algo para comer".

Y Jesús les dijo: No tienen necesidad de irse: dadles vosotros de comer.

But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

But Jesus said to them, “They don’t need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

Eles Lhe disseram: "Nós temos aqui apenas cinco pães e dois peixes".

Y ellos dijeron: No tenemos aquí sino cinco panes y dos peces.

And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

They told him, “We only have here five loaves and two fish.”

Jesus disse: "Trazei-os para Mim".

Y él les dijo: Traédmelos acá.

He said, Bring them hither to me.

He said, “Bring them here to me.”

Então Jesus ordenou que a multidão se sentasse na grama. Ele pegou os cinco pães e os dois peixes e, olhando para o céu, abençoou, partiu os pães, deu-os aos discípulos e os discípulos os deram à multidão.

Y mandando á las gentes recostarse sobre la hierba, tomando los cinco panes y los dos peces, alzando los ojos al cielo, bendijo, y partió y dió los panes á los discípulos, y los discípulos á las gentes.

And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

Todos comeram e ficaram satisfeitos. Então eles recolheram o que sobrou dos pedaços de comida: doze cestos cheios.

Y comieron todos, y se hartaron; y alzaron lo que sobró de los pedazos, doce cestas llenas.

And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

They all ate and were filled. They took up twelve baskets full of that which remained left over from the broken pieces.

Aqueles que comeram eram em torno de cinco mil homens, além de mulheres e crianças.

Y los que comieron fueron como cinco mil hombres, sin las mujeres y los niños.

And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

Those who ate were about five thousand men, in addition to women and children.

Imediatamente Ele fez os discípulos entrarem no barco e irem adiante Dele para o outro lado, enquanto despedia a multidão.

Y luego Jesús hizo á sus discípulos entrar en el barco, é ir delante de él á la otra parte del lago, entre tanto que él despedía á las gentes.

And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.

Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.

Depois que mandou a multidão embora, Ele subiu a montanha sozinho para orar. Quando escureceu, Ele estava lá sozinho.

Y despedidas las gentes, subió al monte, apartado, á orar: y como fué la tarde del día, estaba allí solo.

And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

After he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain by himself to pray. When evening had come, he was there alone.

Mas o barco estava distante da terra e quase fora de controle por causa das ondas, pois o vento soprava contra eles.

Y ya el barco estaba en medio de la mar, atormentado de las ondas; porque el viento era contrario.

But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, distressed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.

Na quarta vigília da noite, Jesus aproximou-se deles, andando sobre o mar.

Mas á la cuarta vela de la noche, Jesús fué á ellos andando sobre la mar.

And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea.

Quando os discípulos O viram andando sobre o mar, ficaram aterrorizados e disseram: "É um fantasma!" E eles gritaram de medo.

Y los discípulos, viéndole andar sobre la mar, se turbaron, diciendo: Fantasma es. Y dieron voces de miedo.

And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

Mas Jesus falou-lhes imediatamente: "Sede corajosos! Sou Eu! Não tenhais medo".

Mas luego Jesús les habló, diciendo: Confiad, yo soy; no tengáis miedo.

But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”

Pedro respondeu-Lhe: "Senhor, se és Tu, ordena a mim para que vá a Ti sobre a água".

Entonces le respondió Pedro, y dijo: Señor, si tú eres, manda que yo vaya á ti sobre las aguas.

And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters.”

Jesus disse: "Vem!" Assim Pedro saiu do barco e andou sobre as águas para ir até Jesus.

Y él dijo: Ven. Y descendiendo Pedro del barco, andaba sobre las aguas para ir á Jesús.

And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

He said, “Come!” Peter stepped down from the boat and walked on the waters to come to Jesus.

Mas, quando Pedro viu o vento, teve medo; e, começando a afundar, gritou: "Senhor, salva-me!"

Mas viendo el viento fuerte, tuvo miedo; y comenzándose á hundir, dió voces, diciendo: Señor, sálvame.

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

Jesus imediatamente esticou a mão, agarrou Pedro e disse-lhe: "Tu, que tens pequena fé, por que duvidaste?"

Y luego Jesús, extendiendo la mano, trabó de él, y le dice: Oh hombre de poca fe, ¿por qué dudaste?

And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Então, quando Jesus e Pedro entraram no barco, o vento parou de soprar.

Y como ellos entraron en el barco, sosegóse el viento.

And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

When they got up into the boat, the wind ceased.

Os discípulos no barco adoraram a Jesus e disseram: "Verdadeiramente Tu és o Filho de Deus".

Entonces los que estaban en el barco, vinieron y le adoraron, diciendo: Verdaderamente eres Hijo de Dios.

Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

Those who were in the boat came and worshiped him, saying, “You are truly the Son of God!”

Após completarem a travessia, chegaram a terra, em Genesaré.

Y llegando á la otra parte, vinieron á la tierra de Genezaret.

And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.

When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret.

Quando os homens naquele lugar reconheceram Jesus, enviaram mensagens para todos os lugares nos arredores e trouxeram a Ele todos os que estavam doentes.

Y como le conocieron los hombres de aquel lugar, enviaron por toda aquella tierra alrededor, y trajeron á él todos los enfermos;

And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;

When the people of that place recognized him, they sent into all that surrounding region and brought to him all who were sick;

Eles Lhe imploraram que pudessem apenas tocar na borda do Seu manto, e todos os que tocaram foram curados.

Y le rogaban que solamente tocasen el borde de su manto; y todos los que tocaron, quedaron sanos.

And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

and they begged him that they might just touch the fringe of his garment. As many as touched it were made whole.
