Mateo 14

In jener Zeit hörte Herodes der Tetrarch die Kunde (den Ruf, das Gerücht) von Jesus,

EN aquel tiempo Herodes el tetrarca oyó la fama de Jesús,

At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,

und sagte seinen Dienern: Dieser ist Johannes der Täufer; er stand auf von den Toten und darum (deshalb) sind in (durch) ihm solche Wunderkräfte wirksam.

Y dijo á sus criados: Este es Juan el Bautista: él ha resucitado de los muertos, y por eso virtudes obran en él.

And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

and said to his servants, “This is John the Baptizer. He is risen from the dead. That is why these powers work in him.”

Denn Herodes hatte Johannes festnehmen (gefangennehmen) und fesseln (in Fesseln legen) und ins Gefängnis werfen (legen) lassen wegen Herodias, die Frau Philippus', seines Bruders;

Porque Herodes había prendido á Juan, y le había aprisionado y puesto en la cárcel, por causa de Herodías, mujer de Felipe su hermano;

For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias’ sake, his brother Philip’s wife.

denn es hatte ihm Johannes gesagt: Es ist dir nicht erlaubt (steht dir nicht frei) sie zu haben †zur Frau.

Porque Juan le decía: No te es lícito tenerla.

For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.

For John said to him, “It is not lawful for you to have her.”

Und er wünschte (wollte) ihn gerne töten †doch er fürchtete die (Volks-)Menge, da (denn, weil) sie ihn für (als) einen Propheten hielten.

Y quería matarle, mas temía al pueblo; porque le tenían como á profeta.

Als aber der Geburtstag des Herodes gefeiert (begangen) wurde, tanzte die Tochter der Herodias in der Mitte (vor den Gästen) und gefiel dem Herodes,

But when Herod’s birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.

deshalb (daher) sagte er mit einem Eid (Schwur) zu (versprach er ihr) alles zu geben, was (auch immer) sie sich wünschte,

Y prometió él con juramento de darle todo lo que pidiese.

Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.

Therefore he promised with an oath to give her whatever she should ask.

und sie (diese) wurde von ihrer Mutter bedrängt (angestiftet): Gib mir, sagte (meinte) sie, hier(her) auf einer Platte den (Schüssel, Teller) den Kopf des Johannes des Täufers.

Y ella, instruída primero de su madre, dijo: Dame aquí en un plato la cabeza de Juan el Bautista.

And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist’s head in a charger.

She, being prompted by her mother, said, “Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptizer.”

Und es wurde traurig (betrübt) der König aber wegen des Schwurs und der anwesenden Gäste befahl er †ihr den Kopf zu geben (ihr den Wunsch zu erfüllen),

Entonces el rey se entristeció; mas por el juramento, y por los que estaban juntamente á la mesa, mandó que se le diese.

And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath’s sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.

The king was grieved, but for the sake of his oaths and of those who sat at the table with him, he commanded it to be given,

und sandte hin (beauftragte) und lies enthaupten Johannes durch die Wache (Wachtposten)

Y enviando, degolló á Juan en la cárcel.

And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.

und es wurde gebracht (getragen) sein Kopf auf einer Platte den (Schüssel, Teller) und es dem Mädchen gegeben und sie brachte †es ihrer Mutter.

Y fué traída su cabeza en un plato, y dada á la muchacha; y ella la presentó á su madre.

And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.

His head was brought on a platter and given to the young lady; and she brought it to her mother.

Und als seine Jünger kamen, holten sie den Leichnam und begruben ihn und gingen †und verkündeten es Jesus.

Entonces llegaron sus discípulos, y tomaron el cuerpo, y lo enterraron; y fueron, y dieron las nuevas á Jesús.

And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.

Als aber Jesus †dies, es hörte, zog er von dort ab (sich von dort zurück, ging weg), in einem Schiff an einen verlassenen (leeren, wüsten) Ort (Platz) für sich allein; und als die (Volks-)Menge es hörten, folgten sie ihm, zu Fuß (Land), aus den umliegenden Städten (Ortschaften).

Y oyéndolo Jesús, se apartó de allí en un barco á un lugar descierto, apartado: y cuando las gentes lo oyeron, le siguieron á pie de las ciudades.

When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.

Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat to a deserted place apart. When the multitudes heard it, they followed him on foot from the cities.

Und als er †aus dem Boot ausstieg (herauskam), sah er eine große Volksmenge (viel Volk), und er erbarmte sich über sie (hatte Mitleid mit ihnen) und er heilte die Kranken (Kraftlosen) von ihnen.

Y saliendo Jesús, vió un gran gentío, y tuvo compasión de ellos, y sanó á los que de ellos había enfermos.

And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Jesus went out, and he saw a great multitude. He had compassion on them and healed their sick.

Als es aber Abend geworden war (spät wurde), kamen seine Jünger zu ihm, und sagten : „Der Ort (Platz) ist öde (leer, wüst) und die Stunde ist schon verstrichen (die Zeit ist schon vorübergegangen, vorbei); Lass (Verabschiede) die (Volks-)Menge gehen, damit sie in die Dörfer gehen können und für sich Nahrungsmittel (zu Essen, Speise) kaufen.“

Y cuando fué la tarde del día, se llegaron á él sus discípulos, diciendo: El lugar es desierto, y el tiempo es ya pasado: despide las gentes, para que se vayan por las aldeas, y compren para sí de comer.

And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.

When evening had come, his disciples came to him, saying, “This place is deserted, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food.”

Der †Jesus aber sagte ihnen: „Sie haben kein Bedürfnis (nicht nötig) zu gehen, gebt ihr ihnen zu essen.“

Y Jesús les dijo: No tienen necesidad de irse: dadles vosotros de comer.

But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

But Jesus said to them, “They don’t need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

Die (diese) aber sagten ihm: „Wir haben nichts hier außer fünf Broten und zwei Fischen.“

Y ellos dijeron: No tenemos aquí sino cinco panes y dos peces.

And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

They told him, “We only have here five loaves and two fish.”

Der (Dieser) aber sagte: „Bringt mir diese (sie) her.“

Y él les dijo: Traédmelos acá.

He said, Bring them hither to me.

He said, “Bring them here to me.”

Und als er befahl, dass sich das Volk auf das Gras (Heu) niederlässt (niederlegt, niedersetzt), nahm er die fünf Brote und die zwei Fische, blickte in den Himmel †und sagte Lob und Dank (sprach Lobpreis) und brach die Brote (in Stücke), gab sie den Jüngern, die Jünger aber der Volksmenge.

Y mandando á las gentes recostarse sobre la hierba, tomando los cinco panes y los dos peces, alzando los ojos al cielo, bendijo, y partió y dió los panes á los discípulos, y los discípulos á las gentes.

And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass; and he took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes.

Und alle aßen und alle wurden gesättigt (satt), und sie sammelten das übrig gebliebene der Brocken (das was an Stücken übrig war) (:, -) zwölf Körbe voll (ausgefüllt).

Y comieron todos, y se hartaron; y alzaron lo que sobró de los pedazos, doce cestas llenas.

And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

They all ate and were filled. They took up twelve baskets full of that which remained left over from the broken pieces.

Die aber (und) aber, die gegessen hatten, waren an Männern wie (ungefähr) 5000, ohne (nicht mitgerechnet) Frauen und Kinder.

Y los que comieron fueron como cinco mil hombres, sin las mujeres y los niños.

And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

Those who ate were about five thousand men, in addition to women and children.

Und alsbald (sofort, sogleich) nötigten (zwangen, forderten nachdrücklich auf) er die Jünger, dass sie in das Boot einsteigem und an das jenseitige †Ufer (die andere Seite des Sees) vorausgehem (vorausfahrem) solange (während) er die Menge verabschiedete.

Y luego Jesús hizo á sus discípulos entrar en el barco, é ir delante de él á la otra parte del lago, entre tanto que él despedía á las gentes.

And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.

Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.

Und als er die Menge verabschiedet hatte stieg er auf den Berg (einen Berg, in das Gebirge, Bergland) für sich allein um zu beten. Als es aber Abend geworden war, war er noch allein.

Y despedidas las gentes, subió al monte, apartado, á orar: y como fué la tarde del día, estaba allí solo.

And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

After he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain by himself to pray. When evening had come, he was there alone.

Das Schiff aber war viele Stadien von der Erde (dem Ufer) entfernt, als es von den Wellen hart bedrängt (gequält) wurde, denn der Wind war entgegengesetzt (gegen(über-)stehend).

Y ya el barco estaba en medio de la mar, atormentado de las ondas; porque el viento era contrario.

But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, distressed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.

Aber in der vierten Nachtwache kam er zu ihnen, er ging (dabei) auf dem See.

Mas á la cuarta vela de la noche, Jesús fué á ellos andando sobre la mar.

And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea.

Als aber die Jünger ihn auf dem See gehend sahen, waren sie in Aufregung (Unruhe, Verwirrung) (hatten Sie Angst, gerieten sie in Schrecken), sagend (meinend, denkend), dass es eine Erscheinung (Gespenst) sei, und vor Furcht (Angst) schrien (riefen) sie.

Y los discípulos, viéndole andar sobre la mar, se turbaron, diciendo: Fantasma es. Y dieron voces de miedo.

And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It’s a ghost!” and they cried out for fear.

Da aber sagte †Jesus ihnen {sagend}: Seid guten Mutes (voller Zuversicht; habt keine Angst), ich bin es, fürchtet euch nicht †länger.

Mas luego Jesús les habló, diciendo: Confiad, yo soy; no tengáis miedo.

But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”

Da antwortete ihm aber Petrus: Herr, wenn du es bist, befehle (ordne an) mir zu dir zu gehen auf dem Wasser.

Entonces le respondió Pedro, y dijo: Señor, si tú eres, manda que yo vaya á ti sobre las aguas.

And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters.”

Er aber sagte: Komm! Und als er ausstieg aus dem Schiff, ging Petrus auf dem Wasser und ging (kam) zu Jesus.

Y él dijo: Ven. Y descendiendo Pedro del barco, andaba sobre las aguas para ir á Jesús.

And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

He said, “Come!” Peter stepped down from the boat and walked on the waters to come to Jesus.

Als er aber den †starken Wind sah, fürchtete er sich und fing an zu (ver-)sinken, sagend: Herr, hilf mir (rette mich)!

Mas viendo el viento fuerte, tuvo miedo; y comenzándose á hundir, dió voces, diciendo: Señor, sálvame.

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

Da steckte Jesus aber seine Hand aus und e hielt ihn fest (ergriff ihn) und sagte ihm: Kleingläubiger (von schwachem Vertrauen), warum zweifelst du?

Y luego Jesús, extendiendo la mano, trabó de él, y le dice: Oh hombre de poca fe, ¿por qué dudaste?

And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Und als die in das Boot einstiegen legte (wurde müde, lies nach) sich der Sturm.

Y como ellos entraron en el barco, sosegóse el viento.

And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

When they got up into the boat, the wind ceased.

Die aber im Boot waren, warfen sich vor ihm nieder und sagten: Wahrlich (wirklich, wahrhaftig, tatsächlich), du bist Gottes Sohn.

Entonces los que estaban en el barco, vinieron y le adoraron, diciendo: Verdaderamente eres Hijo de Dios.

Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

Those who were in the boat came and worshiped him, saying, “You are truly the Son of God!”

Und als (nachdem) sie herübergefahren waren kamen sie an Land nach Genesaret.

Y llegando á la otra parte, vinieron á la tierra de Genezaret.

And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.

When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret.

Und als die Bewohner des Ortes sie erkannten, benachrichtigten (schickten nach) sie jene ganze Umgebung (Nachbarschaft) und man brachte ihm alle, die Krankheiten hatten.

Y como le conocieron los hombres de aquel lugar, enviaron por toda aquella tierra alrededor, y trajeron á él todos los enfermos;

And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;

When the people of that place recognized him, they sent into all that surrounding region and brought to him all who were sick;

und baten ihn, dass er sie nur berühren (anfassen) dürften den Saum seines Gewandes; und so viele ihn berührten wurden gerettet (am Leben erhalten, geheilt).

Y le rogaban que solamente tocasen el borde de su manto; y todos los que tocaron, quedaron sanos.

And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

and they begged him that they might just touch the fringe of his garment. As many as touched it were made whole.
