1Da kamen zu ihm die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer von Jerusalem und sprachen:
2Warum übertreten deine Jünger der Ältesten Aufsätze? Sie waschen ihre Hände nicht, wenn sie Brot essen.
3Er antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Warum übertretet denn ihr Gottes Gebot um eurer Aufsätze willen?
4Gott hat geboten: “Du sollst Vater und Mutter ehren; wer Vater und Mutter flucht, der soll des Todes sterben.”
5Ihr aber lehret: Wer zum Vater oder Mutter spricht: “Es ist Gott gegeben, was dir sollte von mir zu Nutz kommen”, der tut wohl.
6Damit geschieht es, daß niemand hinfort seinen Vater oder seine Mutter ehrt, und also habt ihr Gottes Gebot aufgehoben um eurer Aufsätze willen.
7Ihr Heuchler, wohl fein hat Jesaja von euch geweissagt und gesprochen:
8“Dies Volk naht sich zu mir mit seinem Munde und ehrt mich mit seinen Lippen, aber ihr Herz ist fern von mir;
9aber vergeblich dienen sie mir, dieweil sie lehren solche Lehren, die nichts denn Menschengebote sind.”
10Und er rief das Volk zu sich und sprach zu ihm: Höret zu und fasset es!
11Was zum Munde eingeht, das verunreinigt den Menschen nicht; sondern was zum Munde ausgeht, das verunreinigt den Menschen.
12Da traten seine Jünger zu ihm und sprachen: Weißt du auch, daß sich die Pharisäer ärgerten, da sie das Wort hörten?
13Aber er antwortete und sprach: Alle Pflanzen, die mein himmlischer Vater nicht pflanzte, die werden ausgereutet.
14Lasset sie fahren! Sie sind blinde Blindenleiter. Wenn aber ein Blinder den andern leitet, so fallen sie beide in die Grube.
15Da antwortete Petrus und sprach zu ihm: Deute uns dieses Gleichnis.
16Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Seid ihr denn auch noch unverständig?
17Merket ihr noch nicht, daß alles, was zum Munde eingeht, das geht in den Bauch und wird durch den natürlichen Gang ausgeworfen?
18Was aber zum Munde herausgeht, das kommt aus dem Herzen, und das verunreinigt den Menschen.
19Denn aus dem Herzen kommen arge Gedanken: Mord, Ehebruch, Hurerei, Dieberei, falsch Zeugnis, Lästerung.
20Das sind Stücke, die den Menschen verunreinigen. Aber mit ungewaschenen Händen essen verunreinigt den Menschen nicht.
21Und Jesus ging aus von dannen und entwich in die Gegend von Tyrus und Sidon.
22Und siehe, ein kanaanäisches Weib kam aus derselben Gegend und schrie ihm nach und sprach: Ach HERR, du Sohn Davids, erbarme dich mein! Meine Tochter wird vom Teufel übel geplagt.
23Und er antwortete ihr kein Wort. Da traten zu ihm seine Jünger, baten ihn und sprachen: Laß sie doch von dir, denn sie schreit uns nach.
24Er antwortete aber und sprach: Ich bin nicht gesandt denn nur zu den verlorenen Schafen von dem Hause Israel.
25Sie kam aber und fiel vor ihm nieder und sprach: HERR, hilf mir!
26Aber er antwortete und sprach: Es ist nicht fein, daß man den Kindern ihr Brot nehme und werfe es vor die Hunde.
27Sie sprach: Ja, HERR; aber doch essen die Hündlein von den Brosamlein, die von ihrer Herren Tisch fallen.
28Da antwortete Jesus und sprach zu ihr: O Weib, dein Glaube ist groß! Dir geschehe, wie du willst. Und ihre Tochter ward gesund zu derselben Stunde.
29Und Jesus ging von da weiter und kam an das Galiläische Meer und ging auf einen Berg und setzte sich allda.
30Und es kam zu ihm viel Volks, die hatten mit sich Lahme, Blinde, Stumme, Krüppel und viele andere und warfen sie Jesu vor die Füße, und er heilte sie,
31daß sich das Volk verwunderte, da sie sahen, daß die Stummen redeten, die Krüppel gesund waren, die Lahmen gingen, die Blinden sahen; und sie priesen den Gott Israels.
32Und Jesus rief seine Jünger zu sich und sprach: Es jammert mich des Volks; denn sie beharren nun wohl drei Tage bei mir und haben nichts zu essen; und ich will sie nicht ungegessen von mir lassen, auf daß sie nicht verschmachten auf dem Wege.
33Da sprachen seine Jünger zu ihm: Woher mögen wir so viel Brot nehmen in der Wüste, daß wir so viel Volks sättigen?
34Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Wie viel Brote habt ihr? Sie sprachen: Sieben und ein wenig Fischlein.
35Und er hieß das Volk sich lagern auf die Erde
36und nahm die sieben Brote und die Fische, dankte, brach sie und gab sie seinen Jüngern; und die Jünger gaben sie dem Volk.
37Und sie aßen alle und wurden satt; und hoben auf, was übrig blieb von Brocken, sieben Körbe voll.
38Und die da gegessen hatten, derer waren viertausend Mann, ausgenommen Weiber und Kinder.
39Und da er das Volk hatte von sich gelassen, trat er in ein Schiff und kam in das Gebiet Magdalas.

1ENTONCES llegaron á Jesús ciertos escribas y Fariseos de Jerusalem, diciendo:
2¿Por qué tus discípulos traspasan la tradición de los ancianos? porque no se lavan las manos cuando comen pan.
3Y él respondiendo, les dijo: ¿Por qué también vosotros traspasáis el mandamiento de Dios por vuestra tradición?
4Porque Dios mandó, diciendo: Honra al padre y á la madre, y, El que maldijere al padre ó á la madre, muera de muerte.
5Mas vosotros decís: Cualquiera que dijere al padre ó á la madre: Es ya ofrenda mía á Dios todo aquello con que pudiera valerte;
6No deberá honrar á su padre ó á su madre con socorro. Así habéis invalidado el mandamiento de Dios por vuestra tradición.
7Hipócritas, bien profetizó de vosotros Isaías, diciendo:
8Este pueblo de labios me honra; mas su corazón lejos está de mí.
9Mas en vano me honran, enseñando doctrinas y mandamientos de hombres.
10Y llamando á sí las gentes, les dijo: Oid, y entended:
11No lo que entra en la boca contamina al hombre; mas lo que sale de la boca, esto contamina al hombre.
12Entonces llegándose sus discípulos, le dijeron: ¿Sabes que los Fariseos oyendo esta palabra se ofendieron?
13Mas respondiendo él, dijo: Toda planta que no plantó mi Padre celestial, será desarraigada.
14Dejadlos: son ciegos guías de ciegos; y si el ciego guiare al ciego, ambos caerán en el hoyo.
15Y respondiendo Pedro, le dijo: Decláranos esta parábola.
16Y Jesús dijo: ¿Aun también vosotros sois sin entendimiento?
17¿No entendéis aún, que todo lo que entra en la boca, va al vientre, y es echado en la letrina?
18Mas lo que sale de la boca, del corazón sale; y esto contamina al hombre.
19Porque del corazón salen los malos pensamientos, muertes, adulterios, fornicaciones, hurtos, falsos testimonios, blasfemias.
20Estas cosas son las que contaminan al hombre: que comer con las manos por lavar no contamina al hombre.
21Y saliendo Jesús de allí, se fué á las partes de Tiro y de Sidón.
22Y he aquí una mujer Cananea, que había salido de aquellos términos, clamaba, diciéndole: Señor, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí; mi hija es malamente atormentada del demonio.
23Mas él no le respondió palabra. Entonces llegándose sus discípulos, le rogaron, diciendo: Despáchala, pues da voces tras nosotros.
24Y él respondiendo, dijo: No soy enviado sino á las ovejas perdidas de la casa de Israel.
25Entonces ella vino, y le adoró, diciendo: Señor, socórreme.
26Y respondiendo él, dijo: No es bien tomar el pan de los hijos, y echarlo á los perrillos.
27Y ella dijo: Sí, Señor; mas los perrillos comen de las migajas que caen de la mesa de sus señores.
28Entonces respondiendo Jesús, dijo: Oh mujer, grande es tu fe; sea hecho contigo como quieres. Y fué sana su hija desde aquella hora.
29Y partido Jesús de allí, vino junto al mar de Galilea: y subiendo al monte, se sentó allí.
30Y llegaron á él muchas gentes, que tenían consigo cojos, ciegos, mudos, mancos, y otros muchos enfermos: y los echaron á los pies de Jesús, y los sanó:
31De manera que se maravillaban las gentes, viendo hablar los mudos, los mancos sanos, andar los cojos, y ver los ciegos: y glorificaron al Dios de Israel.
32Y Jesús llamando á sus discípulos, dijo: Tengo lástima de la gente, que ya hace tres días que perseveran conmigo, y no tienen qué comer; y enviarlos ayunos no quiero, porque no desmayen en el camino.
33Entonces sus discípulos le dicen: ¿Dónde tenemos nosotros tantos panes en el desierto, que hartemos á tan gran compañía?
34Y Jesús les dice: ¿Cuántos panes tenéis? Y ellos dijeron: Siete, y unos pocos pececillos.
35Y mandó á las gentes que se recostasen sobre la tierra.
36Y tomando los siete panes y los peces, haciendo gracias, partió y dió á sus discípulos; y los discípulos á la gente.
37Y comieron todos, y se hartaron: y alzaron lo que sobró de los pedazos, siete espuertas llenas.
38Y eran los que habían comido, cuatro mil hombres, sin las mujeres y los niños.
39Entonces, despedidas las gentes, subió en el barco: y vino á los términos de Magdalá.

1Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
4For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
5But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
6And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
7Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
10And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
11Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
12Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
13But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
14Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
15Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
16And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
17Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
21Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
22And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
28Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
29And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
30And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:
31Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
32Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
33And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?
34And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
35And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
36And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
37And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.
38And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children.
39And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala.

1Then Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem, saying,
2“Why do your disciples disobey the tradition of the elders? For they don’t wash their hands when they eat bread.”
3He answered them, “Why do you also disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?
4For God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.’
5But you say, ‘Whoever may tell his father or his mother, “Whatever help you might otherwise have gotten from me is a gift devoted to God,”
6he shall not honor his father or mother.’ You have made the commandment of God void because of your tradition.
7You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
8‘These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9And they worship me in vain, teaching as doctrine rules made by men.’”
10He summoned the multitude, and said to them, “Hear, and understand.
11That which enters into the mouth doesn’t defile the man; but that which proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man.”
12Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”
13But he answered, “Every plant which my heavenly Father didn’t plant will be uprooted.
14Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
15Peter answered him, “Explain the parable to us.”
16So Jesus said, “Do you also still not understand?
17Don’t you understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the belly and then out of the body?
18But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the man.
19For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies.
20These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands doesn’t defile the man.”
21Jesus went out from there and withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22Behold, a Canaanite woman came out from those borders and cried, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, you son of David! My daughter is severely possessed by a demon!”
23But he answered her not a word. His disciples came and begged him, saying, “Send her away; for she cries after us.”
24But he answered, “I wasn’t sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
25But she came and worshiped him, saying, “Lord, help me.”
26But he answered, “It is not appropriate to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”
27But she said, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”
28Then Jesus answered her, “Woman, great is your faith! Be it done to you even as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that hour.
29Jesus departed from there and came near to the sea of Galilee; and he went up on the mountain and sat there.
30Great multitudes came to him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others, and they put them down at his feet. He healed them,
31so that the multitude wondered when they saw the mute speaking, the injured healed, the lame walking, and the blind seeing—and they glorified the God of Israel.
32Jesus summoned his disciples and said, “I have compassion on the multitude, because they have continued with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away fasting, or they might faint on the way.”
33The disciples said to him, “Where could we get so many loaves in a deserted place as to satisfy so great a multitude?”
34Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven, and a few small fish.”
35He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground;
36and he took the seven loaves and the fish. He gave thanks and broke them, and gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes.
37They all ate and were filled. They took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces that were left over.
38Those who ate were four thousand men, in addition to women and children.
39Then he sent away the multitudes, got into the boat, and came into the borders of Magdala.
