Und nach sechs Tagen nahm Jesus zu sich Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes, seinen Bruder, und fuhrete sie beiseits auf einen hohen Berg.

Y DESPUÉS de seis días, Jesús toma á Pedro, y á Jacobo, y á Juan su hermano, y los lleva aparte á un monte alto:

And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

After six days, Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain by themselves.

Und ward verklaret vor ihnen, und sein Angesicht leuchtete wie die Sonne, und seine Kleider wurden weili als ein Licht.

Y se transfiguró delante de ellos; y resplandeció su rostro como el sol, y sus vestidos fueron blancos como la luz.

And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

He was changed before them. His face shone like the sun, and his garments became as white as the light.

Und siehe, da erschienen ihnen Mose und Elia, die redeten mit ihm.

Y he aquí les aparecieron Moisés y Elías, hablando con él.

And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

Behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them talking with him.

Petrus aber antwortete und sprach zu Jesu: Herr, hier ist gut sein; willst du, so wollen wir hier drei Hutten machen, direine, Mose eine und Elia eine.

Y respondiendo Pedro, dijo á Jesús: Señor, bien es que nos quedemos aquí: si quieres, hagamos aquí tres pabellones: para ti uno, y para Moisés otro, y otro para Elías.

Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, let’s make three tents here: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

Da ernoch also redete, siehe, da uberschattete sie eine lichte Wolke. Und siehe, eine Stimme aus der Wolke sprach: Dies ist mein lieber Sohn, an welchem ich Wohlgefallen habe; den sollt ihr horen.

Y estando aún él hablando, he aquí una nube de luz que los cubrió; y he aquí una voz de la nube, que dijo: Este es mi Hijo amado, en el cual tomo contentamiento: á él oid.

While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”

Da das die Jünger horeten, Helen sie auf ihr Angesicht und erschraken sehr.

Y oyendo esto los discípulos, cayeron sobre sus rostros, y temieron en gran manera.

And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.

When the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces, and were very afraid.

Jesus aber trat zu ihnen, rührete sie an und sprach: Stehet auf und furchtet euch nicht!

Entonces Jesús llegando, los tocó, y dijo: Levantaos, y no temáis.

And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.

Jesus came and touched them and said, “Get up, and don’t be afraid.”

Da sie aber ihre Augen aufhuben, sahen sie niemand denn Jesus alleine.

Y alzando ellos sus ojos, á nadie vieron, sino á solo Jesús.

And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.

Lifting up their eyes, they saw no one, except Jesus alone.

Und da sie vom Berge herabgingen, gebot ihnen Jesus und sprach: Ihr sollt dies Gesicht niemand sagen, bis des Menschen Sohn von den Toten auferstanden ist.

Y como descendieron del monte, les mandó Jesús, diciendo: No digáis á nadie la visión, hasta que el Hijo del hombre resucite de los muertos.

And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, “Don’t tell anyone what you saw, until the Son of Man has risen from the dead.”

Und seine Jünger fragten ihn und sprachen: Was sagen denn die Schriftgelehrten, Elia müsse zuvor kommen?

Entonces sus discípulos le preguntaron, diciendo: ¿Por qué dicen pues los escribas que es menester que Elías venga primero?

And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

His disciples asked him, saying, “Then why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”

Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Elia soil ja zuvor kommen und alles zurechtbringen.

Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: A la verdad, Elías vendrá primero, y restituirá todas las cosas.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

Jesus answered them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and will restore all things;

Doch ich sage euch: Es ist Elia schon kommen, und sie haben ihn nicht erkannt, sondern haben an ihm getan, was sie wollten. Also wird auch des Menschen Sohn leiden müssen von ihnen.

Mas os digo, que ya vino Elías, y no le conocieron; antes hicieron en él todo lo que quisieron: así también el Hijo del hombre padecerá de ellos.

But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

but I tell you that Elijah has come already, and they didn’t recognize him, but did to him whatever they wanted to. Even so the Son of Man will also suffer by them.”

Da verstunden die Jünger, daß er von Johannes dem Taufer zu ihnen geredet hatte.

Los discípulos entonces entendieron, que les habló de Juan el Bautista.

Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of John the Baptizer.

Und da sie zu dem Volk kamen, trat zu ihm ein Mensch und fiel ihm zu Fülien

Y como ellos llegaron al gentío, vino á él un hombre hincándosele de rodillas,

And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,

When they came to the multitude, a man came to him, kneeling down to him and saying,

und sprach: Herr, erbarme dich über meinen Sohn; denn er ist mondsüchtig und hat ein schweres Leiden; erfallt oft ins Feuer und oft ins Wasser.

Y diciendo: Señor, ten misericordia de mi hijo, que es lunático, y padece malamente; porque muchas veces cae en el fuego, y muchas en el agua.

Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

“Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is epileptic and suffers grievously; for he often falls into the fire, and often into the water.

Und ich habe ihn zu deinen Jungern gebracht, und sie konnten ihm nicht helfen.

Y le he presentado á tus discípulos, y no le han podido sanar.

And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

So I brought him to your disciples, and they could not cure him.”

Jesus aber antwortete und sprach: O du unglaubige und verkehrte Art, wie lange soil ich bei euch sein? Wie lange soli ich euch dulden? Bringet mirihn hieher!

Y respondiendo Jesús, dijo: ¡Oh generación infiel y torcida! ¿hasta cuándo tengo de estar con vosotros? ¿hasta cuándo os tengo de sufrir? traédmele acá.

Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

Jesus answered, “Faithless and perverse generation! How long will I be with you? How long will I bear with you? Bring him here to me.”

Und Jesus bedrauete ihn; und der Teufel fuhr aus von ihm, und der Knabe ward gesund zu derselbigen Stunde.

Y Jesús le reprendió, y salió el demonio de él; y el mozo fué sano desde aquella hora.

And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

Jesus rebuked the demon, and it went out of him, and the boy was cured from that hour.

Da traten zu ihm seine Junger besonders und sprachen: Warum konnten wir ihn nicht austreiben?

Entonces, llegándose los discípulos á Jesús, aparte, dijeron: ¿Por qué nosotros no lo pudimos echar fuera?

Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?

Then the disciples came to Jesus privately, and said, “Why weren’t we able to cast it out?”

Jesus aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Um eures Unglaubens willen. Denn ich sage euch: Wahrlich, so ihr Glauben habt wie ein Senfkorn, so moget ihr sagen zu diesem Berge: Heb' dich von hinnen dorthin! so wird er sich heben, und euch wird nichts unmoglich sein.

Y Jesús les dijo: Por vuestra incredulidad; porque de cierto os digo, que si tuviereis fe como un grano de mostaza, diréis á este monte: Pásate de aquí allá: y se pasará: y nada os será imposible.

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Aber diese Art fahrt nicht aus denn durch Beten und Fasten.

Mas este linaje no sale sino por oración y ayuno.

Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

But this kind doesn’t go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Da sie aber ihr Wesen hatten in Galilaa, sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Es ist zukunftig, dad. des Menschen Sohn uberantwortet werde in der Menschen Hande.

Y estando ellos en Galilea, Jesús les dijo: El Hijo del hombre será entregado en manos de hombres,

And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:

While they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be delivered up into the hands of men,

Und sie werden ihn toten; und am dritten Tage wird er auferstehen. Und sie wurden sehr betrubt.

Y le matarán; mas al tercer día resucitará. Y ellos se entristecieron en gran manera.

And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

and they will kill him, and the third day he will be raised up.” They were exceedingly sorry.

Da sie nun gen Kapernaum kamen, gingen zu Petrus, die den Zinsgroschen einnahmen, und sprachen: Pflegt euer Meister nicht den Zinsgroschen zu geben?

Y como llegaron á Capernaum, vinieron á Pedro los que cobraban las dos dracmas, y dijeron: ¿Vuestro Maestro no paga las dos dracmas?

And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?

When they had come to Capernaum, those who collected the didrachma coins came to Peter, and said, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the didrachma?”

Er sprach: Ja. Und als er heimkam, kam ihm Jesus zuvor und sprach: Was dunkt dich, Simon? Von wem nehmen die Konige auf Erden den Zoll Oder Zins, von ihren Kindern Oder von den Fremden?

El dice: Sí. Y entrando él en casa, Jesús le habló antes, diciendo: ¿Qué te parece, Simón? Los reyes de la tierra, ¿de quién cobran los tributos ó el censo? ¿de sus hijos ó de los extraños?

He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

He said, “Yes.” When he came into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth receive toll or tribute? From their children, or from strangers?”

Da sprach zu ihm Petrus: Von den Fremden. Jesus sprach zu ihm: So sind die Kinder frei.

Pedro le dice: De los extraños. Jesús le dijo: Luego los hijos son francos.

Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.

Peter said to him, “From strangers.” Jesus said to him, “Therefore the children are exempt.

Auf dafi aber wir sie nicht argern, so gehe hin an das Meer und wirf die Angel, und den ersten Fisch, der herauffahrt, den nimm; und wenn du seinen Mund auftust, wirstdu einen Stater finden. Denselbigen nimm und gib ihn fur mich und dich.

Mas porque no los escandalicemos, ve á la mar, y echa el anzuelo, y el primer pez que viniere, tómalo, y abierta su boca, hallarás un estatero: tómalo, y dáselo por mí y por ti.

Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

But, lest we cause them to stumble, go to the sea, cast a hook, and take up the first fish that comes up. When you have opened its mouth, you will find a stater coin. Take that, and give it to them for me and you.”
