Sechs Tage später nahm Jesus den Petrus, Jakobus und dessen Bruder Johannes mit sich und führte sie abseits auf einen hohen Berg.

Y DESPUÉS de seis días, Jesús toma á Pedro, y á Jacobo, y á Juan su hermano, y los lleva aparte á un monte alto:

And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

After six days, Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain by themselves.

Da wurde er vor ihren Augen verwandelt: sein Antlitz leuchtete wie die Sonne, und seine Kleider wurden hellglänzend wie das Licht.

Y se transfiguró delante de ellos; y resplandeció su rostro como el sol, y sus vestidos fueron blancos como la luz.

And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

He was changed before them. His face shone like the sun, and his garments became as white as the light.

Und siehe, es erschienen ihnen Mose und Elia und besprachen sich mit ihm.

Y he aquí les aparecieron Moisés y Elías, hablando con él.

And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

Behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them talking with him.

Da nahm Petrus das Wort und sagte zu Jesus: »Herr, hier sind wir gut aufgehoben! Willst du, so werde ich hier drei Hütten bauen, eine für dich, eine für Mose und eine für Elia.«

Y respondiendo Pedro, dijo á Jesús: Señor, bien es que nos quedemos aquí: si quieres, hagamos aquí tres pabellones: para ti uno, y para Moisés otro, y otro para Elías.

Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, let’s make three tents here: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

Während er noch redete, überschattete sie plötzlich eine lichte Wolke, und eine Stimme erscholl aus der Wolke, die sprach: »Dies ist mein geliebter Sohn, an dem ich Wohlgefallen gefunden habe: höret auf ihn!«

Y estando aún él hablando, he aquí una nube de luz que los cubrió; y he aquí una voz de la nube, que dijo: Este es mi Hijo amado, en el cual tomo contentamiento: á él oid.

While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. Behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”

Als die Jünger das vernahmen, warfen sie sich auf ihr Angesicht nieder und gerieten in große Furcht;

Y oyendo esto los discípulos, cayeron sobre sus rostros, y temieron en gran manera.

And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.

When the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces, and were very afraid.

doch Jesus trat herzu, faßte sie an und sagte: »Steht auf und fürchtet euch nicht!«

Entonces Jesús llegando, los tocó, y dijo: Levantaos, y no temáis.

And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.

Jesus came and touched them and said, “Get up, and don’t be afraid.”

Als sie aber ihre Augen aufschlugen, sahen sie niemand mehr als Jesus allein.

Y alzando ellos sus ojos, á nadie vieron, sino á solo Jesús.

And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.

Lifting up their eyes, they saw no one, except Jesus alone.

Als sie dann von dem Berge hinabstiegen, gebot ihnen Jesus: »Erzählt niemand etwas von der Erscheinung, die ihr gesehen habt, bis der Menschensohn von den Toten auferweckt worden ist.«

Y como descendieron del monte, les mandó Jesús, diciendo: No digáis á nadie la visión, hasta que el Hijo del hombre resucite de los muertos.

And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, “Don’t tell anyone what you saw, until the Son of Man has risen from the dead.”

Da fragten ihn die Jünger: »Wie können denn die Schriftgelehrten behaupten, Elia müsse zuerst kommen?«

Entonces sus discípulos le preguntaron, diciendo: ¿Por qué dicen pues los escribas que es menester que Elías venga primero?

And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

His disciples asked him, saying, “Then why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”

Er gab ihnen zur Antwort: »Elia kommt allerdings und wird alles wieder in den rechten Stand bringen.

Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: A la verdad, Elías vendrá primero, y restituirá todas las cosas.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

Jesus answered them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and will restore all things;

Ich sage euch aber: Elia ist bereits gekommen, doch sie haben ihn nicht erkannt, sondern sind mit ihm verfahren, wie es ihnen beliebte. Ebenso wird auch der Menschensohn durch sie zu leiden haben.«

Mas os digo, que ya vino Elías, y no le conocieron; antes hicieron en él todo lo que quisieron: así también el Hijo del hombre padecerá de ellos.

But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

but I tell you that Elijah has come already, and they didn’t recognize him, but did to him whatever they wanted to. Even so the Son of Man will also suffer by them.”

Da verstanden die Jünger, daß er von Johannes dem Täufer zu ihnen gesprochen hatte.

Los discípulos entonces entendieron, que les habló de Juan el Bautista.

Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of John the Baptizer.

Als sie dann zu der Volksmenge zurückgekommen waren, trat ein Mann an ihn heran, warf sich vor ihm auf die Knie nieder

Y como ellos llegaron al gentío, vino á él un hombre hincándosele de rodillas,

And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,

When they came to the multitude, a man came to him, kneeling down to him and saying,

und sagte: »Herr, erbarme dich meines Sohnes! Er ist fallsüchtig und hat schwer zu leiden; denn oft fällt er ins Feuer und oft auch ins Wasser.

Y diciendo: Señor, ten misericordia de mi hijo, que es lunático, y padece malamente; porque muchas veces cae en el fuego, y muchas en el agua.

Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

“Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is epileptic and suffers grievously; for he often falls into the fire, and often into the water.

Ich habe ihn schon zu deinen Jüngern gebracht, doch sie haben ihn nicht heilen können.«

Y le he presentado á tus discípulos, y no le han podido sanar.

And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

So I brought him to your disciples, and they could not cure him.”

Da antwortete Jesus: »O ihr ungläubige und verkehrte Art von Menschen! Wie lange soll ich noch bei euch sein, wie lange es noch mit euch aushalten? Bringt ihn mir hierher!«

Y respondiendo Jesús, dijo: ¡Oh generación infiel y torcida! ¿hasta cuándo tengo de estar con vosotros? ¿hasta cuándo os tengo de sufrir? traédmele acá.

Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

Jesus answered, “Faithless and perverse generation! How long will I be with you? How long will I bear with you? Bring him here to me.”

Jesus bedrohte alsdann den bösen Geist: da fuhr er von dem Knaben aus, so daß dieser von Stund an gesund war.

Y Jesús le reprendió, y salió el demonio de él; y el mozo fué sano desde aquella hora.

And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

Jesus rebuked the demon, and it went out of him, and the boy was cured from that hour.

Hierauf traten die Jünger zu Jesus, als sie mit ihm allein waren, und fragten: »Warum haben wir den Geist nicht austreiben können?«

Entonces, llegándose los discípulos á Jesús, aparte, dijeron: ¿Por qué nosotros no lo pudimos echar fuera?

Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?

Then the disciples came to Jesus privately, and said, “Why weren’t we able to cast it out?”

Er antwortete ihnen: »Wegen eures Kleinglaubens! Denn wahrlich ich sage euch: Wenn ihr Glauben wie ein Senfkorn habt und diesem Berge gebietet: ›Rücke von hier weg dorthin!‹, so wird er hinwegrücken, und nichts wird euch unmöglich sein.

Y Jesús les dijo: Por vuestra incredulidad; porque de cierto os digo, que si tuviereis fe como un grano de mostaza, diréis á este monte: Pásate de aquí allá: y se pasará: y nada os será imposible.

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

He said to them, “Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

†Diese Art (von bösen Geistern) aber läßt sich nur durch Gebet und Fasten austreiben.«

Mas este linaje no sale sino por oración y ayuno.

Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

But this kind doesn’t go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Während sie dann in Galiläa umherwanderten, sagte Jesus zu ihnen: »Der Menschensohn wird in die Hände der Menschen überliefert werden;

Y estando ellos en Galilea, Jesús les dijo: El Hijo del hombre será entregado en manos de hombres,

And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:

While they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be delivered up into the hands of men,

sie werden ihn töten, und am dritten Tage wird er auferweckt werden.« Da wurden sie tief betrübt.

Y le matarán; mas al tercer día resucitará. Y ellos se entristecieron en gran manera.

And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

and they will kill him, and the third day he will be raised up.” They were exceedingly sorry.

Als sie dann nach Kapernaum zurückgekehrt waren, traten die Einsammler der Tempelsteuer an Petrus heran und fragten ihn: »Entrichtet euer Meister die Doppeldrachme nicht?«

Y como llegaron á Capernaum, vinieron á Pedro los que cobraban las dos dracmas, y dijeron: ¿Vuestro Maestro no paga las dos dracmas?

And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?

When they had come to Capernaum, those who collected the didrachma coins came to Peter, and said, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the didrachma?”

Er antwortete: »Doch!« Als er dann ins Haus trat, kam ihm Jesus mit der Frage zuvor: »Was meinst du, Simon? Von wem lassen sich die Könige der Erde Zölle oder Steuern zahlen: von ihren Söhnen oder von Fremden?«

El dice: Sí. Y entrando él en casa, Jesús le habló antes, diciendo: ¿Qué te parece, Simón? Los reyes de la tierra, ¿de quién cobran los tributos ó el censo? ¿de sus hijos ó de los extraños?

He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

He said, “Yes.” When he came into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth receive toll or tribute? From their children, or from strangers?”

Als jener nun antwortete: »Von den Fremden«, sagte Jesus zu ihm: »So sind die Söhne steuerfrei.

Pedro le dice: De los extraños. Jesús le dijo: Luego los hijos son francos.

Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free.

Peter said to him, “From strangers.” Jesus said to him, “Therefore the children are exempt.

Damit wir aber keinen Anstoß bei ihnen erregen, so geh an den See, wirf die Angel aus, und den ersten Fisch, den du heraufziehst, den nimm und öffne ihm das Maul; dann wirst du ein Silberstück finden; das nimm und gib es ihnen (als Abgabe) für mich und dich.«

Mas porque no los escandalicemos, ve á la mar, y echa el anzuelo, y el primer pez que viniere, tómalo, y abierta su boca, hallarás un estatero: tómalo, y dáselo por mí y por ti.

Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

But, lest we cause them to stumble, go to the sea, cast a hook, and take up the first fish that comes up. When you have opened its mouth, you will find a stater coin. Take that, and give it to them for me and you.”
