Il leur répondit: C’est à cause de la dureté de votre cœur que Moïse vous a permis de répudier vos femmes; au commencement, il n’en était pas ainsi.

Díceles: Por la dureza de vuestro corazón Moisés os permitió repudiar á vuestras mujeres: mas al principio no fué así.

He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.
