2Abraão gerou a Isaque. Isaque gerou a Jacó. Jacó gerou a Judá e a seus irmãos.
3Judá gerou a Perez e a Zerá, de Tamar. Perez gerou a Esrom. Esrom gerou a Arão.
4Arão gerou a Aminadabe. Aminadabe gerou a Naassom. Naassom gerou a Salmom.
5Salmom gerou a Boaz, de Raabe. Boaz gerou a Obede, de Rute. Obede gerou a Jessé.
6Jessé gerou ao rei Davi. O rei Davi gerou a Salomão, daquela que tinha sido mulher de Urias.

11Josias gerou a Jeconias e a seus irmãos, na época do exílio para a Babilônia.
12Depois do exílio para a Babilônia, Jeconias gerou a Salatiel. Salatiel gerou a Zorobabel.
13Zorobabel gerou a Abiúde. Abiúde gerou a Eliaquim. Eliaquim gerou a Azor.
14Azor gerou a Zadoque. Zadoque gerou a Aquim. Aquim gerou a Eliúde.
15Eliúde gerou a Eleazar. Eleazar gerou a Matã. Matã gerou a Jacó.
16Jacó gerou a José, marido de Maria, da qual nasceu Jesus, que é chamado Cristo.
17De modo que todas as gerações, desde Abraão até Davi, são catorze gerações; de Davi até o exílio para a Babilônia, catorze gerações; e da deportação para a Babilônia até o Cristo, catorze gerações.
18Ora, o nascimento de Jesus Cristo foi assim: Estando Maria, sua mãe, noiva de José, antes de se unirem, ela se achou grávida pelo Espírito Santo.
19José, seu marido, sendo um homem justo e não querendo expô-la à desonra pública, pretendia deixá-la secretamente.
20Mas, enquanto ele pensava nestas coisas, eis que um anjo do Senhor apareceu a ele em sonho, dizendo: “José, filho de Davi, não tenha medo de receber Maria como sua esposa, pois o que nela foi gerado é do Espírito Santo.
21Ela dará à luz um filho. Você lhe dará o nome de Jesus, pois é ele quem salvará o seu povo dos pecados deles.”
22Ora, tudo isso aconteceu para que se cumprisse o que foi dito pelo Senhor por meio do profeta, dizendo:
23“Eis que a virgem ficará grávida, e dará à luz um filho. Eles o chamarão pelo nome de Emanuel,” que, traduzido, é: “Deus conosco”.
24José despertou do sono e fez como o anjo do Senhor lhe havia ordenado, e recebeu sua esposa;
25e não teve relações com ela até que ela desse à luz seu filho primogênito. E ele lhe deu o nome de Jesus.

17De manera que todas las generaciones desde Abraham hasta David son catorce generaciones: y desde David hasta la transmigración de Babilonia, catorce generaciones: y desde la transmigración de Babilonia hasta Cristo, catorce generaciones.
18Y el nacimiento de Jesucristo fué así: Que siendo María su madre desposada con José, antes que se juntasen, se halló haber concebido del Espíritu Santo.
19Y José su marido, como era justo, y no quisiese infamarla, quiso dejarla secretamente.
20Y pensando él en esto, he aquí el ángel del Señor le aparece en sueños, diciendo: José, hijo de David, no temas de recibir á María tu mujer, porque lo que en ella es engendrado, del Espíritu Santo es.
21Y parirá un hijo, y llamarás su nombre JESUS, porque él salvará á su pueblo de sus pecados.
22Todo esto aconteció para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el Señor, por el profeta que dijo:
23He aquí la virgen concebirá y parirá un hijo, y llamarás su nombre Emmanuel, que declarado, es: Con nosotros Dios.
24Y despertando José del sueño, hizo como el ángel del Señor le había mandado, y recibió á su mujer.
25Y no la conoció hasta que parió á su hijo primogénito: y llamó su nombre JESUS.

18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
20But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this: After his mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
19Joseph, her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, intended to put her away secretly.
20But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take to yourself Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21She shall give birth to a son. You shall name him Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.”
22Now all this has happened that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,
23“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall give birth to a son. They shall call his name Immanuel,” which is, being interpreted, “God with us.”
24Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took his wife to himself;
25and didn’t know her sexually until she had given birth to her firstborn son. He named him Jesus.
