LIBRO de la generación de Jesucristo, hijo de David, hijo de Abraham.

The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Abraham zeugte den Isaak, Isaak zeugte den Jakob, Jakob zeugte den Juda und seine Brüder,

Abraham engendró á Isaac: é Isaac engendró á Jacob: y Jacob engendró á Judas y á sus hermanos:

Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;

Abraham became the father of Isaac. Isaac became the father of Jacob. Jacob became the father of Judah and his brothers.

Juda zeugte den Phares und den Zara mit der Tamar, Phares zeugte den Esrom, Esrom zeugte den Aram,

Y Judas engendró de Thamar á Phares y á Zara: y Phares engendró á Esrom: y Esrom engendró á Aram:

And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;

Judah became the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar. Perez became the father of Hezron. Hezron became the father of Ram.

Aram zeugte den Aminadab, Aminadab zeugte den Nahasson, Nahasson zeugte den Salmon,

Y Aram engendró á Aminadab: y Aminadab engendró á Naassón: y Naassón engendró á Salmón:

And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;

Ram became the father of Amminadab. Amminadab became the father of Nahshon. Nahshon became the father of Salmon.

Salmon zeugte den Boas mit der Rahab, Boas zeugte den Obed mit der Ruth, Obed zeugte den Jesse,

Y Salmón engendró de Rachâb á Booz, y Booz engendró de Ruth á Obed: y Obed engendró á Jessé:

And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;

Salmon became the father of Boaz by Rahab. Boaz became the father of Obed by Ruth. Obed became the father of Jesse.

Jesse zeugte den König David. Der König David zeugte den Salomo mit dem Weibe Urias,

Y Jessé engendró al rey David: y el rey David engendró á Salomón de la que fué mujer de Urías:

And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;

Jesse became the father of King David. David the king became the father of Solomon by her who had been Uriah’s wife.

Salomo zeugte den Rehabeam, Rehabeam zeugte den Abia, Abia zeugte den Asa,

Y Salomón engendró á Roboam: y Roboam engendró á Abía: y Abía engendró á Asa:

And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;

Solomon became the father of Rehoboam. Rehoboam became the father of Abijah. Abijah became the father of Asa.

Asa zeugte den Josaphat, Josaphat zeugte den Joram, Joram zeugte den Usia,

Y Asa engendró á Josaphat: y Josaphat engendró á Joram: y Joram engendró á Ozías:

And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;

Asa became the father of Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat became the father of Joram. Joram became the father of Uzziah.

Usia zeugte den Jotam, Jotam zeugte den Ahas, Ahas zeugte den Hiskia,

Y Ozías engendró á Joatam: y Joatam engendró á Achâz: y Achâz engendró á Ezechîas:

And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;

Uzziah became the father of Jotham. Jotham became the father of Ahaz. Ahaz became the father of Hezekiah.

Hiskia zeugte den Manasse, Manasse zeugte den Amon, Amon zeugte den Josia,

Y Ezechîas engendró á Manasés: y Manasés engendró á Amón: y Amón engendró á Josías:

And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;

Hezekiah became the father of Manasseh. Manasseh became the father of Amon. Amon became the father of Josiah.

Josia zeugte den Jechonja und dessen Brüder, zur Zeit der Übersiedelung nach Babylon.

Y Josías engendró á Jechônías y á sus hermanos, en la transmigración de Babilonia.

And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:

Josiah became the father of Jechoniah and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon.

Nach der Übersiedelung nach Babylon zeugte Jechonia den Salatiel. Salatiel zeugte den Serubbabel,

Y después de la transmigración de Babilonia, Jechônías engendró á Salathiel: y Salathiel engendró á Zorobabel:

And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;

After the exile to Babylon, Jechoniah became the father of Shealtiel. Shealtiel became the father of Zerubbabel.

Serubbabel zeugte den Abiud, Abiud zeugte den Eliakim, Eliakim zeugte den Azor,

Y Zorobabel engendró á Abiud: y Abiud engendró á Eliachîm: y Eliachîm engendró á Azor:

And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;

Zerubbabel became the father of Abiud. Abiud became the father of Eliakim. Eliakim became the father of Azor.

Azor zeugte den Sadok, Sadok zeugte den Achim, Achim zeugte den Eliud,

Y Azor engendró á Sadoc: y Sadoc engendró á Achîm: y Achîm engendró á Eliud:

And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;

Azor became the father of Zadok. Zadok became the father of Achim. Achim became the father of Eliud.

Eliud zeugte den Eleazar, Eleazar zeugte den Mattan, Mattan zeugte den Jakob,

Y Eliud engendró á Eleazar: y Eleazar engendró á Mathán: y Mathán engendró á Jacob:

And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;

Eliud became the father of Eleazar. Eleazar became the father of Matthan. Matthan became the father of Jacob.

Jakob zeugte den Joseph, den Mann der Maria, von welcher geboren ist Jesus, der genannt wird Christus.

Y Jacob engendró á José, marido de María, de la cual nació Jesús, el cual es llamado el Cristo.

And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

Jacob became the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, from whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

So sind es nun von Abraham bis auf David insgesamt vierzehn Glieder; und von David bis zur Übersiedelung nach Babylon vierzehn Glieder; und von der Übersiedelung nach Babylon bis auf Christus vierzehn Glieder.

De manera que todas las generaciones desde Abraham hasta David son catorce generaciones: y desde David hasta la transmigración de Babilonia, catorce generaciones: y desde la transmigración de Babilonia hasta Cristo, catorce generaciones.

So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David to the exile to Babylon fourteen generations; and from the carrying away to Babylon to the Christ, fourteen generations.

Die Geburt Jesu Christi aber war also: Als seine Mutter Maria mit Joseph verlobt war, noch ehe sie zusammenkamen, erfand sich's, daß sie empfangen hatte vom heiligen Geist.

Y el nacimiento de Jesucristo fué así: Que siendo María su madre desposada con José, antes que se juntasen, se halló haber concebido del Espíritu Santo.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this: After his mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.

Aber Joseph, ihr Mann, der gerecht war und sie doch nicht an den Pranger stellen wollte, gedachte sie heimlich zu entlassen.

Y José su marido, como era justo, y no quisiese infamarla, quiso dejarla secretamente.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

Joseph, her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, intended to put her away secretly.

Während er aber solches im Sinne hatte, siehe, da erschien ihm ein Engel des Herrn im Traum, der sprach: Joseph, Sohn Davids, scheue dich nicht, Maria, dein Weib, zu dir zu nehmen; denn was in ihr erzeugt ist, das ist vom heiligen Geist.

Y pensando él en esto, he aquí el ángel del Señor le aparece en sueños, diciendo: José, hijo de David, no temas de recibir á María tu mujer, porque lo que en ella es engendrado, del Espíritu Santo es.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take to yourself Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

Sie wird aber einen Sohn gebären, und du sollst ihm den Namen Jesus geben; denn er wird sein Volk retten von ihren Sünden.

Y parirá un hijo, y llamarás su nombre JESUS, porque él salvará á su pueblo de sus pecados.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

She shall give birth to a son. You shall name him Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins.”

Dieses alles aber ist geschehen, auf daß erfüllt würde, was von dem Herrn gesagt ist durch den Propheten, der da spricht:

Todo esto aconteció para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el Señor, por el profeta que dijo:

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

Now all this has happened that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,

«Siehe, die Jungfrau wird empfangen und einen Sohn gebären, und man wird ihm den Namen Emmanuel geben; das heißt übersetzt: Gott mit uns.»

He aquí la virgen concebirá y parirá un hijo, y llamarás su nombre Emmanuel, que declarado, es: Con nosotros Dios.

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall give birth to a son. They shall call his name Immanuel,” which is, being interpreted, “God with us.”

Als nun Joseph vom Schlaf erwachte, tat er, wie ihm der Engel des Herrn befohlen, und nahm sein Weib zu sich

Y despertando José del sueño, hizo como el ángel del Señor le había mandado, y recibió á su mujer.

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took his wife to himself;

und erkannte sie nicht, bis sie den Sohn geboren hatte; und er gab ihm den Namen Jesus.

Y no la conoció hasta que parió á su hijo primogénito: y llamó su nombre JESUS.

And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

and didn’t know her sexually until she had given birth to her firstborn son. He named him Jesus.
