Y cuando fué la tarde del día, el señor de la viña dijo á su mayordomo: Llama á los obreros y págales el jornal, comenzando desde los postreros hasta los primeros.
So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
“When evening had come, the lord of the vineyard said to his manager, ‘Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning from the last to the first.’

Diciendo: Estos postreros sólo han trabajado una hora, y los has hecho iguales á nosotros, que hemos llevado la carga y el calor del día.
Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

“ ‘Amigo’, respondeu o homem a um deles, ‘eu não fui injusto com você! Você não aceitou trabalhar o dia inteiro por um denário?
Y él respondiendo, dijo á uno de ellos: Amigo, no te hago agravio; ¿no te concertaste conmigo por un denario?
But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.
Take that which is yours, and go your way. It is my desire to give to this last just as much as to you.
É contra a lei usar o meu dinheiro como eu quero? Ou você está com inveja porque fui bondoso para com eles?’
¿No me es lícito á mí hacer lo que quiero con lo mío? ó ¿es malo tu ojo, porque yo soy bueno?
Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
Isn’t it lawful for me to do what I want to with what I own? Or is your eye evil, because I am good?’
“Assim, os últimos serão os primeiros, e os primeiros serão os últimos”.
Así los primeros serán postreros, y los postreros primeros: porque muchos son llamados, mas pocos escogidos.
So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

Quando Jesus estava a caminho de Jerusalém, chamou os doze discípulos à parte e lhes disse:

“Ouçam! Estamos indo para Jerusalém, onde o Filho do Homem será entregue aos principais sacerdotes e aos mestres da lei. Eles o condenarão à morte,

Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

e o entregarão aos gentios. Ele será zombado, açoitado e crucificado, mas no terceiro dia ressuscitará”.
Y le entregarán á los Gentiles para que le escarnezcan, y azoten, y crucifiquen; mas al tercer día resucitará.
And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

Nisso a mãe de Tiago e João, filhos de Zebedeu, trouxe os dois filhos a Jesus, inclinou-se e pediu um favor.

Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

He said to her, “What do you want?” She said to him, “Command that these, my two sons, may sit, one on your right hand and one on your left hand, in your Kingdom.”
Mas Jesus lhe disse: “Vocês não sabem o que estão pedindo!” Então voltou-se para Tiago e João, e perguntou-lhes: “Vocês são capazes de beber do terrível cálice do qual eu logo vou beber?” “Sim”, responderam eles!
Entonces Jesús respondiendo, dijo: No sabéis lo que pedís: ¿podéis beber el vaso que yo he de beber, y ser bautizados del bautismo de que yo soy bautizado? Y ellos le dicen: Podemos.
But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

“É certo que vocês beberão dele”, disse ele. “Mas não me cabe dizer quem sentará nos tronos perto do meu. Esses lugares estão reservados para as pessoas que meu Pai escolher”.
Y él les dice: A la verdad mi vaso beberéis, y del bautismo de que yo soy bautizado, seréis bautizados; mas el sentaros á mi mano derecha y á mi izquierda, no es mío darlo, sino á aquellos para quienes está aparejado de mi Padre.
And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
He said to them, “You will indeed drink my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give, but it is for whom it has been prepared by my Father.”
Os outros dez discípulos ficaram revoltados quando souberam o que Tiago e João haviam pedido.

Mas Jesus os reuniu e disse: “Entre os ímpios, os reis são tiranos, e cada oficial domina sobre aqueles que estão abaixo dele.
Entonces Jesús llamándolos, dijo: Sabéis que los príncipes de los Gentiles se enseñorean sobre ellos, y los que son grandes ejercen sobre ellos potestad.
But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
But Jesus summoned them, and said, “You know that the rulers of the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.
Mas entre vocês deve ser diferente. Todo aquele que quiser ser importante entre vocês deverá ser um servo.
Mas entre vosotros no será así; sino el que quisiere entre vosotros hacerse grande, será vuestro servidor;
But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
It shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.
E quem quiser ser o primeiro, deverá servir como um escravo.
Y el que quisiere entre vosotros ser el primero, será vuestro siervo:
And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
Whoever desires to be first among you shall be your bondservant,
A atitude de vocês deve ser igual ao Filho do Homem que não veio para ser servido, mas para servir, e dar a sua vida para salvar a muitos”.
Como el Hijo del hombre no vino para ser servido, sino para servir, y para dar su vida en rescate por muchos.
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Quando Jesus e os discípulos deixavam a cidade de Jericó, foram seguidos por uma grande multidão.
Entonces saliendo ellos de Jericó, le seguía gran compañía.

Dois cegos estavam sentados à beira da estrada, e quando ouviram que Jesus vinha por aquele caminho, começaram a gritar: “Senhor, Filho de Davi, tenha misericórdia de nós!”

A multidão mandou que ficassem quietos, mas não adiantou, pois eles gritaram ainda mais alto: “Senhor, Filho de Davi, tenha misericórdia de nós!”
Y la gente les reñía para que callasen; mas ellos clamaban más, diciendo: Señor, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de nosotros.
And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.

Quando Jesus chegou ao lugar onde estavam, parou na estrada e perguntou-lhes: “O que vocês querem que eu lhes faça?”
Y parándose Jesús, los llamó, y dijo: ¿Qué queréis que haga por vosotros?
And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?
