Mateo 21

Quando Jesus e os discípulos se aproximavam de Jerusalém e estavam perto da cidade de Betfagé, no monte das Oliveiras, Jesus enviou dois deles na frente até a vila.

Y COMO se acercaron á Jerusalem, y vinieron á Bethfagé, al monte de las Olivas, entonces Jesús envió dos discípulos,

And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,

When they came near to Jerusalem and came to Bethsphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,

“Logo ao entrar”, disse ele, “vocês verão uma jumenta amarrada ali, com um jumentinho ao seu lado. Desamarrem-nos e tragam-nos para cá.

Diciéndoles: Id á la aldea que está delante de vosotros, y luego hallaréis una asna atada, y un pollino con ella: desatadla, y traédmelos.

Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.

saying to them, “Go into the village that is opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me.

E se alguém perguntar o que estão fazendo, digam apenas: ‘O Mestre precisa deles’, e não haverá dificuldade”.

Y si alguno os dijere algo, decid: El Señor los ha menester. Y luego los dejará.

And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.

If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and immediately he will send them.”

Isto foi feito para cumprir a antiga profecia:

Y todo esto fué hecho, para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el profeta, que dijo:

All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,

“Digam à cidade de Sião: ‘Vejam todos, o seu Rei está chegando, humilde e vem montado num jumento, num jumentinho, filho de jumenta!’ ”

Decid á la hija de Sión: He aquí, tu Rey viene á ti, manso, y sentado sobre una asna, y sobre un pollino, hijo de animal de yugo.

Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

“Tell the daughter of Zion, behold, your King comes to you, humble, and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”

Os dois discípulos fizeram como Jesus disse.

Y los discípulos fueron, é hicieron como Jesús les mandó;

And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,

The disciples went and did just as Jesus commanded them,

Trouxeram a jumenta e o jumentinho, e puseram suas roupas sobre os animais, para que Jesus montasse.

Y trajeron el asna y el pollino, y pusieron sobre ellos sus mantos; y se sentó sobre ellos.

And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.

and brought the donkey and the colt and laid their clothes on them; and he sat on them.

Uma grande multidão estendeu seus mantos ao longo da estrada à frente dele, e outros cortavam ramos das árvores e espalhavam no chão.

Y la compañía, que era muy numerosa, tendía sus mantos en el camino: y otros cortaban ramos de los árboles, y los tendían por el camino.

And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.

Então o povo ia adiante dele, e os que o seguiam gritavam: “Hosana ao Filho de Davi!” “Louvem aquele que vem em nome do Senhor!” “Hosana nas alturas!”

Y las gentes que iban delante, y las que iban detrás, aclamaban diciendo: ¡Hosanna al Hijo de David! ¡Bendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor! ¡Hosanna en las alturas!

And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

The multitudes who went in front of him, and those who followed, kept shouting, “Hosanna to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”

Toda a cidade de Jerusalém ficou agitada quando ele entrou. “Quem é este?” perguntavam.

Y entrando él en Jerusalem, toda la ciudad se alborotó, diciendo: ¿Quién es éste?

And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?

When he had come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred up, saying, “Who is this?”

E o povo respondia: “É Jesus, o profeta de Nazaré da Galileia”.

Y las gentes decían: Este es Jesús, el profeta, de Nazaret de Galilea.

And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

The multitudes said, “This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.”

Então Jesus entrou no templo, expulsou os negociantes; derrubou as barracas, as mesas dos cambistas e as cadeiras dos que vendiam pombas.

Y entró Jesús en el templo de Dios, y echó fuera todos los que vendían y compraban en el templo, y trastornó las mesas de los cambiadores, y las sillas de los que vendían palomas;

And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

Jesus entered into the temple of God and drove out all of those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the money changers’ tables and the seats of those who sold the doves.

“As Escrituras dizem: ‘A minha casa será chamada casa de oração’ ”, declarou ele, “mas vocês a transformaram num ‘covil de ladrões’ ”.

Y les dice: Escrito está: Mi casa, casa de oración será llamada; mas vosotros cueva de ladrones la habéis hecho.

And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers!”

Enquanto isso os cegos e aleijados vinham a ele e eram curados ali no templo.

Entonces vinieron á él ciegos y cojos en el templo, y los sanó.

And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

Mas quando os principais sacerdotes e mestres da lei viram os maravilhosos milagres que Jesus fazia, e ouviram até as crianças gritando no templo: “Hosana ao Filho de Davi”, ficaram perturbados e revoltados,

Mas los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los escribas, viendo las maravillas que hacía, y á los muchachos aclamando en el templo y diciendo: ¡Hosanna al Hijo de David! se indignaron,

And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased,

But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children who were crying in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the son of David!” they were indignant,

e perguntaram a ele: “Está ouvindo o que estas crianças estão dizendo?” “Sim”, respondeu Jesus. “Vocês nunca leram: “ ‘Os lábios das crianças e até dos recém-nascidos o louvarão’ ”?

Y le dijeron: ¿Oyes lo que éstos dicen? Y Jesús les dice: Sí: ¿nunca leísteis: De la boca de los niños y de los que maman perfeccionaste la alabanza?

And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

and said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” Jesus said to them, “Yes. Did you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of children and nursing babies, you have perfected praise’?”

Então ele voltou para Betânia, onde passou a noite.

Y dejándolos, se salió fuera de la ciudad, á Bethania; y posó allí.

And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.

He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, and camped there.

De manhã, quando Jesus estava voltando para Jerusalém, sentiu fome,

Y por la mañana volviendo á la ciudad, tuvo hambre.

Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.

e viu uma figueira ao lado da estrada. Foi até lá para ver se havia algum figo, mas só havia folhas. Então disse à figueira: “Não dê frutos nunca mais!” E logo a figueira secou!

Y viendo una higuera cerca del camino, vino á ella, y no halló nada en ella, sino hojas solamente; y le dijo: Nunca más para siempre nazca de ti fruto. Y luego se secó la higuera.

And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.

Seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it and found nothing on it but leaves. He said to it, “Let there be no fruit from you forever!” Immediately the fig tree withered away.

Os discípulos ficaram muito admirados e perguntaram: “Como é que a figueira secou tão depressa?”

Y viendo esto los discípulos, maravillados decían: ¿Cómo se secó luego la higuera?

And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!

When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree immediately wither away?”

Então Jesus disse: “Eu afirmo a vocês que se tiverem fé e não duvidarem, poderão fazer coisas iguais a essa, e muito mais. Vocês poderão até dizer a este monte: ‘Levante-se e atire-se no mar’, e assim será feito.

Y respondiendo Jesús les dijo: De cierto os digo, que si tuviereis fe, y no dudareis, no sólo haréis esto de la higuera: mas si á este monte dijereis: Quítate y échate en la mar, será hecho.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.

Se crerem, receberão tudo o que pedirem em oração”.

Y todo lo que pidiereis en oración, creyendo, lo recibiréis.

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

Jesus voltou ao templo e, enquanto ensinava, os principais sacerdotes e outros líderes dos judeus vieram a ele e perguntaram: “Com que autoridade você está fazendo essas coisas? Quem lhe deu tal autoridade?”

Y como vino al templo, llegáronse á él cuando estaba enseñando, los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los ancianos del pueblo, diciendo: ¿Con qué autoridad haces esto? ¿y quién te dió esta autoridad?

And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?

When he had come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, “By what authority do you do these things? Who gave you this authority?”

“Eu lhes direi, se vocês primeiro responderem à pergunta que farei a vocês”, respondeu Jesus.

Y respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Yo también os preguntaré una palabra, la cual si me dijereis, también yo os diré con qué autoridad hago esto.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things.

Jesus answered them, “I also will ask you one question, which if you tell me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things.

“Quem deu autoridade para João Batista batizar? Foi Deus ou foram os homens?” Então eles conversaram entre si: “Se dissermos: ‘Foi Deus’, então ele perguntará por que nós não cremos no que João dizia.

El bautismo de Juan, ¿de dónde era? ¿del cielo, ó de los hombres? Ellos entonces pensaron entre sí, diciendo: Si dijéremos, del cielo, nos dirá: ¿Por qué pues no le creísteis?

The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?

The baptism of John, where was it from? From heaven or from men?” They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’

E se negarmos que Deus enviou João Batista, seremos atacados, porque esta multidão toda pensa que João era um profeta”.

Y si dijéremos, de los hombres, tememos al pueblo; porque todos tienen á Juan por profeta.

But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.

But if we say, ‘From men,’ we fear the multitude, for all hold John as a prophet.”

Finalmente eles responderam a Jesus: “Não sabemos!” E Jesus lhes disse: “Então eu também não responderei com que autoridade estou fazendo estas coisas.

Y respondiendo á Jesús, dijeron: No sabemos. Y él también les dijo: Ni yo os digo con qué autoridad hago esto.

And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

They answered Jesus, and said, “We don’t know.” He also said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.

“Mas o que acham vocês disto? Um homem que tinha dois filhos disse ao mais velho: ‘Filho, saia e vá trabalhar na plantação hoje’.

Mas, ¿qué os parece? Un hombre tenía dos hijos, y llegando al primero, le dijo: Hijo, ve hoy á trabajar en mi viña.

But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.

But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first, and said, ‘Son, go work today in my vineyard.’

“ ‘Não vou’, respondeu ele, porém mais tarde resolveu ir.

Y respondiendo él, dijo: No quiero; mas después, arrepentido, fué.

He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.

He answered, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind, and went.

Depois o pai disse ao mais novo: ‘Vá você!’, e ele disse: ‘Sim, senhor, eu vou’. Mas não foi.

Y llegando al otro, le dijo de la misma manera; y respondiendo él, dijo: Yo, señor, voy. Y no fué.

And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.

He came to the second, and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I’m going, sir,’ but he didn’t go.

Qual dos dois estava obedecendo ao pai?” Eles responderam: “O primeiro”. Então Jesus explicou-lhes: “Digo a verdade a vocês: Os cobradores de impostos e as prostitutas arrependidos entrarão no Reino de Deus antes de vocês.

¿Cuál de los dos hizo la voluntad de su padre? Dicen ellos: El primero. Díceles Jesús: De cierto os digo, que los publicanos y las rameras os van delante al reino de Dios.

Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said to him, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Most certainly I tell you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering into God’s Kingdom before you.

Porque João Batista pregou para que se arrependessem e se voltassem para Deus, e vocês não creram nele, ao passo que os cobradores de impostos e as prostitutas creram. E mesmo quando vocês viram tudo acontecendo, recusaram-se a se arrepender e crer nele.

Porque vino á vosotros Juan en camino de justicia, y no le creísteis; y los publicanos y las rameras le creyeron; y vosotros, viendo esto, no os arrepentisteis después para creerle.

For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you didn’t believe him; but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. When you saw it, you didn’t even repent afterward, that you might believe him.

“Agora ouçam outra parábola: Certo proprietário fez uma plantação de uvas com uma cerca ao redor, construiu um tanque para prensar as uvas e uma plataforma para o vigia; então arrendou a plantação a alguns lavradores querendo receber em troca uma parte da colheita; e foi fazer uma viagem.

Oid otra parábola: Fué un hombre, padre de familia, el cual plantó una viña; y la cercó de vallado, y cavó en ella un lagar, y edificó una torre, y la dió á renta á labradores, y se partió lejos.

Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:

“Hear another parable. There was a man who was a master of a household who planted a vineyard, set a hedge about it, dug a wine press in it, built a tower, leased it out to farmers, and went into another country.

No tempo da colheita da uva, ele mandou seus servos aos lavradores, para receber a sua parte.

Y cuando se acercó el tiempo de los frutos, envió sus siervos á los labradores, para que recibiesen sus frutos.

And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.

When the season for the fruit came near, he sent his servants to the farmers to receive his fruit.

“Mas os lavradores atacaram os servos: bateram em um deles, mataram outro e apedrejaram o terceiro.

Mas los labradores, tomando á los siervos, al uno hirieron, y al otro mataron, y al otro apedrearon.

And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.

The farmers took his servants, beat one, killed another, and stoned another.

Então ele mandou um grupo ainda maior de servos, mas eles foram tratados da mesma maneira.

Envió de nuevo otros siervos, más que los primeros; é hicieron con ellos de la misma manera.

Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.

Again, he sent other servants more than the first; and they treated them the same way.

Finalmente o proprietário mandou seu filho, pensando: ‘Eles respeitarão meu filho’.

Y á la postre les envió su hijo, diciendo: Tendrán respeto á mi hijo.

But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.

But afterward he sent to them his son, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’

“Porém quando aqueles lavradores viram o filho chegando, disseram uns aos outros: ‘Aí vem o herdeiro; vamos matá-lo e ficaremos com a herança’.

Mas los labradores, viendo al hijo, dijeron entre sí: Este es el heredero; venid, matémosle, y tomemos su heredad.

But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.

But the farmers, when they saw the son, said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and seize his inheritance.’

Assim eles o arrastaram para fora da plantação e o mataram.

Y tomado, le echaron fuera de la viña, y le mataron.

And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.

So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard, then killed him.

“Quando o proprietário da plantação voltar, que vocês acham que ele fará com aqueles lavradores?”

Pues cuando viniere el señor de la viña, ¿qué hará á aquellos labradores?

When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?

When therefore the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers?”

Eles responderam: “Ele dará aos homens maus uma morte horrível e arrendará a vinha a outros que lhe deem a sua parte com honestidade”.

Dícenle: á los malos destruirá miserablemente, y su viña dará á renta á otros labradores, que le paguen el fruto á sus tiempos.

They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

They told him, “He will miserably destroy those miserable men, and will lease out the vineyard to other farmers who will give him the fruit in its season.”

Então Jesus lhes perguntou: “Vocês nunca leram nas Escrituras: ‘A pedra rejeitada pelos construtores tornou-se a pedra mais importante de todas, que é a de esquina. Que notável! Que coisa admirável o Senhor fez!’?

Díceles Jesús: ¿Nunca leísteis en las Escrituras: La piedra que desecharon los que edificaban, ésta fué hecha por cabeza de esquina: por el Señor es hecho esto, y es cosa maravillosa en nuestros ojos?

Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner. This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes’?

“O que eu quero dizer é que o Reino de Deus será tirado de vocês, e entregue a um povo que dê os respectivos frutos.

Por tanto os digo, que el reino de Dios será quitado de vosotros, y será dado á gente que haga los frutos de él.

Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

“Therefore I tell you, God’s Kingdom will be taken away from you and will be given to a nation producing its fruit.

Todo aquele que tropeçar nesta pedra será destruído; e aqueles sobre os quais ela cair serão reduzidos a pó”.

Y el que cayere sobre esta piedra, será quebrantado; y sobre quien ella cayere, le desmenuzará.

And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but on whomever it will fall, it will scatter him as dust.”

Quando os principais sacerdotes e os outros líderes dos judeus perceberam que Jesus estava falando deles — que eles eram os lavradores da sua história —

Y oyendo los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los Fariseos sus parábolas, entendieron que hablaba de ellos.

And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.

When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke about them.

quiseram livrar-se dele, mas tinham medo de tentar fazer isso por causa do povo, porque todos aceitavam Jesus como um profeta.

Y buscando cómo echarle mano, temieron al pueblo; porque le tenían por profeta.

But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.

When they sought to seize him, they feared the multitudes, because they considered him to be a prophet.
