Und Jesus hob an und redete noch einmal in Gleichnissen zu ihnen folgendermaßen:

Er sandte also seine Knechte aus, um die geladenen Gäste zum Hochzeitsmahl zu bitten; doch sie wollten nicht kommen.

Y envió sus siervos para que llamasen los llamados á las bodas; mas no quisieron venir.

And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

Nochmals sandte er andere Knechte aus, denen er die Weisung gab: ›Sagt den Geladenen: Seht, mein Festmahl habe ich zugerichtet; meine Ochsen und das Mastvieh sind geschlachtet, und alles ist bereit: kommt zum Hochzeitsmahl!‹

Volvió á enviar otros siervos, diciendo: Decid á los llamados: He aquí, mi comida he aparejado; mis toros y animales engordados son muertos, y todo está prevenido: venid á las bodas.

Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

Die aber beachteten es nicht und gingen hin, der eine auf seinen Acker, der andere an sein Handelsgeschäft;

Da wurde der König zornig; er entsandte seine Heere, ließ jene Mörder umbringen und ihre Stadt verbrennen.

But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

Hierauf sagte er zu seinen Knechten: ›Das Hochzeitsmahl ist zwar bereitet, aber die Geladenen waren unwürdig (daran teilzunehmen).

Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

“Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy.

Geht darum an die Straßenecken hinaus und ladet alle zum Hochzeitsmahl ein, soviele ihr antrefft!‹

Id pues á las salidas de los caminos, y llamad á las bodas á cuantos hallareis.

Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the wedding feast.’

So gingen denn jene Knechte auf die Straßen hinaus und brachten alle, die sie trafen, zusammen, Böse wie Gute, und der Hochzeitssaal füllte sich mit Gästen.

Y saliendo los siervos por los caminos, juntaron á todos los que hallaron, juntamente malos y buenos: y las bodas fueron llenas de convidados.

Als aber der König hineinging, um sich die Gäste anzusehen, bemerkte er dort einen Mann, der kein Hochzeitsgewand angelegt hatte.

Da sagte er zu ihm: ›Freund, wie hast du hierher kommen können, ohne ein Hochzeitsgewand anzuhaben?‹ Jener verstummte.

And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.

Hierauf befahl der König seinen Dienern: ›Faßt ihn an Händen und Füßen und werft ihn hinaus in die Finsternis draußen! Dort wird lautes Weinen und Zähneknirschen sein.‹

Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Denn viele sind berufen, aber wenige auserwählt.«

Porque muchos son llamados, y pocos escogidos.

Hierauf gingen die Pharisäer hin und stellten eine Beratung an, wie sie ihn durch einen Ausspruch (wie in einer Schlinge) fangen könnten.

And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.

They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter whom you teach; for you aren’t partial to anyone.

So sage uns denn deine Meinung: ›Ist es recht, daß man dem Kaiser Steuer entrichtet, oder nicht?‹«

Dinos pues, ¿qué te parece? ¿es lícito dar tributo á César, ó no?

Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

Da Jesus nun ihre böse Absicht durchschaute, antwortete er: »Was versucht ihr mich, ihr Heuchler?

Entonces les dice: ¿Cúya es esta figura, y lo que está encima escrito?

And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?

He asked them, “Whose is this image and inscription?”

Sie antworteten: »Des Kaisers.« Da sagte er zu ihnen: »So gebt dem Kaiser, was dem Kaiser zusteht, und Gott, was Gott zusteht!«

Dícenle: De César. Y díceles: Pagad pues á César lo que es de César, y á Dios lo que es de Dios.

They say unto him, Cæsar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which are Cæsar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Als sie das hörten, verwunderten sie sich, ließen von ihm ab und entfernten sich.

Y oyendo esto, se maravillaron; y dejándole se fueron.

When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

An demselben Tage traten Sadduzäer an ihn heran, die da behaupten, es gebe keine Auferstehung, und fragten ihn:

Aquel día llegaron á él los Saduceos, que dicen no haber resurrección, y le preguntaron,

The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him,

»Meister, Mose hat geboten: ›Wenn jemand kinderlos stirbt, so soll sein Bruder (als Schwager) dessen Frau heiraten und für seinen Bruder das Geschlecht fortpflanzen.‹

Diciendo: Maestro, Moisés dijo: Si alguno muriere sin hijos, su hermano se casará con su mujer, y despertará simiente á su hermano.

Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.’

Nun lebten sieben Brüder bei uns; der erste, der sich verheiratet hatte, starb und hinterließ, weil er keine Kinder hatte, seine Frau seinem Bruder;

Fueron pues, entre nosotros siete hermanos: y el primero tomó mujer, y murió; y no teniendo generación, dejó su mujer á su hermano.

Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

ebenso auch der zweite und der dritte, schließlich alle sieben;

De la misma manera también el segundo, y el tercero, hasta los siete.

zuletzt nach allen starb auch die Frau.

Y después de todos murió también la mujer.

And last of all the woman died also.

Wem von den Sieben wird sie nun in der Auferstehung als Frau angehören? Alle haben sie ja zur Frau gehabt.«

En la resurrección pues, ¿de cuál de los siete será ella mujer? porque todos la tuvieron.

Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

Jesus antwortete ihnen: »Ihr seid im Irrtum, weil ihr weder die (heiligen) Schriften noch die Kraft Gottes kennt.

Entonces respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Erráis ignorando las Escrituras, y el poder de Dios.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Denn in der Auferstehung heiraten sie weder, noch werden sie verheiratet, sondern sie sind wie Engel im Himmel.

Porque en la resurrección, ni los hombres tomarán mujeres, ni las mujeres maridos; mas son como los ángeles de Dios en el cielo.

For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Was aber die Auferstehung der Toten betrifft: habt ihr nicht gelesen, was euch darüber von Gott gesagt worden ist, wenn er spricht:

But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

›Ich bin der Gott Abrahams, der Gott Isaaks und der Gott Jakobs‹? Gott ist doch nicht ein Gott von Toten, sondern von Lebenden.«

Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, y el Dios de Isaac, y el Dios de Jacob? Dios no es Dios de muertos, sino de vivos.

I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”

Als die Volksmenge das hörte, staunte sie über seine Lehre.

Als aber die Pharisäer vernahmen, daß er die Sadduzäer zum Schweigen gebracht hatte, versammelten sie sich (um ihn);

Entonces los Fariseos, oyendo que había cerrado la boca á los Saduceos, se juntaron á una.

But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.

und einer von ihnen, ein Gesetzeslehrer, versuchte ihn mit der Frage:

Y preguntó uno de ellos, intérprete de la ley, tentándole y diciendo:

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.

»Meister, was ist ein Hauptgebot im Gesetz?«

Maestro, ¿cuál es el mandamiento grande en la ley?

Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”

Er antwortete ihm: »Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, lieben mit deinem ganzen Herzen, mit deiner ganzen Seele und mit deinem ganzen Denken.

Y Jesús le dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y de toda tu mente.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

Dies ist das Hauptgebot, das obenan steht.

Este es el primero y el grande mandamiento.

Ein zweites aber steht ihm gleich: ›Du sollst deinen Nächsten lieben wie dich selbst!‹

Y el segundo es semejante á éste: Amarás á tu prójimo como á ti mismo.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

In diesen beiden Geboten hängt das ganze Gesetz und die Propheten.«

De estos dos mandamientos depende toda la ley y los profetas.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

Da aber die Pharisäer beisammen waren, legte Jesus ihnen die Frage vor:

Y estando juntos los Fariseos, Jesús les preguntó,

»Wie denkt ihr über Christus? Wessen Sohn ist er?« Sie antworteten ihm: »Er ist Davids Sohn.«

Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.

saying, “What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “Of David.”

Da erwiderte Jesus ihnen: »Wie kann ihn dann aber David im Geist ›Herr‹ nennen, indem er sagt:

El les dice: ¿Pues cómo David en Espíritu le llama Señor, diciendo:

He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,

›Der Herr hat zu meinem Herrn gesagt: Setze dich zu meiner Rechten, bis ich deine Feinde hinlege zum Schemel deiner Füße‹?

Dijo el Señor á mi Señor: Siéntate á mi diestra, entre tanto que pongo tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies?

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet’?

Wenn David ihn also ›Herr‹ nennt, wie kann er da sein Sohn sein?«

Pues si David le llama Señor, ¿cómo es su Hijo?

If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

“If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”

Und niemand konnte ihm hierauf eine Antwort geben; auch wagte von diesem Tage an niemand mehr, ihm eine Frage vorzulegen.

Y nadie le podía responder palabra; ni osó alguno desde aquel día preguntarle más.

And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

No one was able to answer him a word, neither did any man dare ask him any more questions from that day forward.
