And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

Novamente, o rei enviou outros servos, dizendo: "Dizei àqueles que são convidados: 'Vede, eu preparei um jantar; meus bois e animais cevados foram mortos, e tudo está pronto. Vinde para a festa de casamento'".
Volvió á enviar otros siervos, diciendo: Decid á los llamados: He aquí, mi comida he aparejado; mis toros y animales engordados son muertos, y todo está prevenido: venid á las bodas.
Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding feast!”’
Mas eles não deram atenção e partiram: um para o seu campo, outro para os seus negócios.
Mas ellos no se cuidaron, y se fueron, uno á su labranza, y otro á sus negocios;
But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

Então disse aos seus servos: 'A festa de casamento está pronta, mas aqueles que foram convidados não eram dignos.

Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
“Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy.
Portanto ide pelas encruzilhadas dos caminhos e a quantos encontrardes convidai-os para a festa de casamento '.
Id pues á las salidas de los caminos, y llamad á las bodas á cuantos hallareis.
Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the wedding feast.’
Os servos saíram pelos caminhos e reuniram todos os que encontraram, tanto maus como bons. Então, o salão ficou cheio de convidados.
Y saliendo los siervos por los caminos, juntaron á todos los que hallaron, juntamente malos y buenos: y las bodas fueron llenas de convidados.
So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

Mas, quando o rei entrou para ver os convidados, viu um homem que não estava com trajes de casamento

e disse-lhe: “Amigo, como entraste aqui sem trajes de casamento?” E o homem se calou.
Y le dijo: Amigo, ¿cómo entraste aquí no teniendo vestido de boda? Mas él cerró la boca.
And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.
Então o rei disse aos servos: 'Amarrai as mãos e os pés desse homem e atirai-o nas trevas exteriores, onde haverá choro e ranger de dentes'.
Entonces el rey dijo á los que servían: Atado de pies y de manos tomadle, y echadle en las tinieblas de afuera: allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.
Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness. That is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.’
Porque muitos são chamados, porém poucos são escolhidos.

Então os fariseus foram e planejaram como poderiam pegar Jesus em sua própria fala.

E enviaram-lhe os seus discípulos junto com os herodianos. Eles disseram a Jesus: 'Mestre, nós sabemos que és verdadeiro e ensinas o caminho de Deus em verdade e não te importas com a opinião de ninguém e não faz diferença entre as pessoas.
Y envían á él los discípulos de ellos, con los Herodianos, diciendo: Maestro, sabemos que eres amador de la verdad, y que enseñas con verdad el camino de Dios, y que no te curas de nadie, porque no tienes acepción de persona de hombres.
And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.
They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter whom you teach; for you aren’t partial to anyone.
Então diga-nos o que achas? É lícito pagar impostos a César ou não?

Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

Tendo percebido a maldade deles, Jesus lhes disse: "Por que estão me testando, seus hipócritas?
Mas Jesús, entendida la malicia de ellos, les dice: ¿Por qué me tentáis, hipócritas?
But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

Eles lhe disseram: "De César". Então disse-lhes Jesus: "Dai a César o que é de César, e a Deus o que é de Deus".
Dícenle: De César. Y díceles: Pagad pues á César lo que es de César, y á Dios lo que es de Dios.
They say unto him, Cæsar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which are Cæsar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.
They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
Quando ouviram isso, maravilharam-se, deixaram-No e foram embora.

When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,
On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him,
dizendo: "Mestre, Moisés disse: 'Se um homem morre, não tendo filhos, seu irmão deve casar-se com a esposa dele e ter um filho para seu irmão'".
Diciendo: Maestro, Moisés dijo: Si alguno muriere sin hijos, su hermano se casará con su mujer, y despertará simiente á su hermano.
Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.’
Havia sete irmãos. O primeiro casou-se e então morreu. Não tendo filhos, deixou sua esposa para seu irmão.
Fueron pues, entre nosotros siete hermanos: y el primero tomó mujer, y murió; y no teniendo generación, dejó su mujer á su hermano.
Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

Da mesma forma, o segundo, o terceiro e até o sétimo.

Depois de todos eles, a mulher morreu.

Agora na ressurreição, de qual dos sete irmãos ela será esposa? Pois todos a tiveram.
En la resurrección pues, ¿de cuál de los siete será ella mujer? porque todos la tuvieron.

Jesus, porém, lhes respondeu: “Vós estais errados, porque não conheceis as Escrituras nem o poder de Deus.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
But Jesus answered them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
Pois na ressurreição eles não se casam e nem se dão em casamento. Em vez disso, são como anjos no céu.
Porque en la resurrección, ni los hombres tomarán mujeres, ni las mujeres maridos; mas son como los ángeles de Dios en el cielo.
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Mas, a respeito da ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que foi dito por Deus:
Y de la resurrección de los muertos, ¿no habéis leído lo que os es dicho por Dios, que dice:
But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
'Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaque, e o Deus de Jacó?' Deus não é o Deus dos mortos, mas dos vivos".
Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, y el Dios de Isaac, y el Dios de Jacob? Dios no es Dios de muertos, sino de vivos.
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Quando as multidões ouviram isso, se maravilharam com o Seu ensino.

Mas, quando os fariseus ouviram que Jesus tinha calado os saduceus, eles se reuniram.
Entonces los Fariseos, oyendo que había cerrado la boca á los Saduceos, se juntaron á una.
But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together.
Um deles, um doutor da Lei, questionou-O, testando-O:
Y preguntó uno de ellos, intérprete de la ley, tentándole y diciendo:
Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.
"Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da Lei?"
Maestro, ¿cuál es el mandamiento grande en la ley?
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”
Jesus lhes disse: "'Ame ao Senhor teu Deus com todo o teu coração, com toda a tua alma e com toda a tua mente'.
Y Jesús le dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y de toda tu mente.
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
Esse é o maior e primeiro mandamento.
Este es el primero y el grande mandamiento.

E o segundo mandamento é semelhante a esse: 'Amarás o teu próximo como a ti mesmo'.

A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
Desses dois mandamentos depende toda a Lei e os profetas".

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”
Enquanto os fariseus ainda estavam reunidos, Jesus lhes perguntou, dizendo:
Y estando juntos los Fariseos, Jesús les preguntó,
While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

"O que pensais sobre o Cristo? De quem ele é filho?" Eles lhe disseram: "O filho de Davi".
Diciendo: ¿Qué os parece del Cristo? ¿de quién es Hijo? Dícenle: De David.
Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.
saying, “What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “Of David.”
Disse-lhes Jesus: "Como então Davi, no Espírito, o chama Senhor, dizendo:
El les dice: ¿Pues cómo David en Espíritu le llama Señor, diciendo:
He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,
"O Senhor disse ao meu Senhor: 'Assenta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha os teus inimigos por debaixo de teus pés?'"
Dijo el Señor á mi Señor: Siéntate á mi diestra, entre tanto que pongo tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies?
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet’?
Se Davi, pois, chama a Cristo "Senhor", como é que Ele é filho de Davi?
Pues si David le llama Señor, ¿cómo es su Hijo?
If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?
“If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”
Ninguém podia responder-Lhe uma palavra sequer, e nenhum homem se atrevia questioná-Lo daquele dia em diante.
Y nadie le podía responder palabra; ni osó alguno desde aquel día preguntarle más.
And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.
