E Gesù prese di nuovo a parlar loro in parabole dicendo:

Y RESPONDIENDO Jesús, les volvió á hablar en parábolas, diciendo:

Il regno de’ cieli è simile ad un re, il quale fece le nozze del suo figliuolo.

El reino de los cielos es semejante á un hombre rey, que hizo bodas á su hijo;

The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

E mandò i suoi servitori a chiamare gl’invitati alle nozze; ma questi non vollero venire.

Y envió sus siervos para que llamasen los llamados á las bodas; mas no quisieron venir.

And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

Di nuovo mandò degli altri servitori, dicendo: Dite agli invitati: Ecco, io ho preparato il mio pranzo; i miei buoi ed i miei animali ingrassati sono ammazzati, e tutto è pronto; venite alle nozze.

Volvió á enviar otros siervos, diciendo: Decid á los llamados: He aquí, mi comida he aparejado; mis toros y animales engordados son muertos, y todo está prevenido: venid á las bodas.

Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding feast!”’

Ma quelli, non curandosene, se n’andarono, chi al suo campo, chi al suo traffico;

But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:

Y otros, tomando á sus siervos, los afrentaron y los mataron.

Allora il re s’adirò, e mandò le sue truppe a sterminare quegli omicidi e ad ardere la loro città.

Y el rey, oyendo esto, se enojó; y enviando sus ejércitos, destruyó á aquellos homicidas, y puso fuego á su ciudad.

But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

Quindi disse ai suoi servitori: Le nozze, si, sono pronte; ma gl’invitati non ne erano degni.

Entonces dice á sus siervos: Las bodas á la verdad están aparejadas; mas los que eran llamados no eran dignos.

Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

“Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy.

Andate dunque sui crocicchi delle strade e chiamate alle nozze quanti troverete.

Id pues á las salidas de los caminos, y llamad á las bodas á cuantos hallareis.

Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the wedding feast.’

E quei servitori, usciti per le strade, raunarono tutti quelli che trovarono, cattivi e buoni; e la sala delle nozze fu ripiena di commensali.

Y saliendo los siervos por los caminos, juntaron á todos los que hallaron, juntamente malos y buenos: y las bodas fueron llenas de convidados.

So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

Or il re, entrato per vedere quelli che erano a tavola, notò quivi un uomo che non vestiva l’abito di nozze.

Y entró el rey para ver los convidados, y vió allí un hombre no vestido de boda.

And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

E gli disse: Amico, come sei entrato qua senza aver un abito da nozze? E colui ebbe la bocca chiusa.

Y le dijo: Amigo, ¿cómo entraste aquí no teniendo vestido de boda? Mas él cerró la boca.

And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.

Allora il re disse ai servitori: Legatelo mani e piedi e gettatelo nelle tenebre di fuori. Ivi sarà il pianto e lo stridor de’ denti.

Entonces el rey dijo á los que servían: Atado de pies y de manos tomadle, y echadle en las tinieblas de afuera: allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.

Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness. That is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.’

Poiché molti son chiamati, ma pochi eletti.

Porque muchos son llamados, y pocos escogidos.

Allora i Farisei, ritiratisi, tennero consiglio per veder di coglierlo in fallo nelle sue parole.

Entonces, idos los Fariseos, consultaron cómo le tomarían en alguna palabra.

Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.

E gli mandarono i loro discepoli con gli Erodiani a dirgli: Maestro, noi sappiamo che sei verace e insegni la via di Dio secondo verità, e non ti curi d’alcuno, perché non guardi all’apparenza delle persone.

Y envían á él los discípulos de ellos, con los Herodianos, diciendo: Maestro, sabemos que eres amador de la verdad, y que enseñas con verdad el camino de Dios, y que no te curas de nadie, porque no tienes acepción de persona de hombres.

And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.

They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter whom you teach; for you aren’t partial to anyone.

Dicci dunque: Che te ne pare? E’ egli lecito pagare il tributo a Cesare, o no?

Dinos pues, ¿qué te parece? ¿es lícito dar tributo á César, ó no?

Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

Tell us therefore, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”

Ma Gesù, conosciuta la loro malizia, disse: Perché mi tentate, ipocriti?

Mas Jesús, entendida la malicia de ellos, les dice: ¿Por qué me tentáis, hipócritas?

But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

Mostratemi la moneta del tributo. Ed essi gli porsero un denaro. Ed egli domandò loro:

Di chi è questa effigie e questa iscrizione?

Entonces les dice: ¿Cúya es esta figura, y lo que está encima escrito?

And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?

He asked them, “Whose is this image and inscription?”

Gli risposero: Di Cesare. Allora egli disse loro: Rendete dunque a Cesare quel ch’è di Cesare, e a Dio quel ch’è di Dio.

Dícenle: De César. Y díceles: Pagad pues á César lo que es de César, y á Dios lo que es de Dios.

They say unto him, Cæsar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which are Cæsar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Ed essi, udito ciò, si maravigliarono; e, lasciatolo, se ne andarono.

Y oyendo esto, se maravillaron; y dejándole se fueron.

When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

In quell’istesso giorno vennero a lui de’ Sadducei, i quali dicono che non v’è risurrezione, e gli domandarono:

Aquel día llegaron á él los Saduceos, que dicen no haber resurrección, y le preguntaron,

The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him,

Maestro, Mosè ha detto: Se uno muore senza figliuoli, il fratel suo sposi la moglie di lui e susciti progenie al suo fratello.

Diciendo: Maestro, Moisés dijo: Si alguno muriere sin hijos, su hermano se casará con su mujer, y despertará simiente á su hermano.

Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.’

Or v’erano fra di noi sette fratelli; e il primo, ammogliatosi, morì; e, non avendo prole, lasciò sua moglie al suo fratello.

Fueron pues, entre nosotros siete hermanos: y el primero tomó mujer, y murió; y no teniendo generación, dejó su mujer á su hermano.

Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no offspring left his wife to his brother.

Lo stesso fece pure il secondo, poi il terzo, fino al settimo.

De la misma manera también el segundo, y el tercero, hasta los siete.

Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

In the same way, the second also, and the third, to the seventh.

Infine, dopo tutti, morì anche la donna.

Y después de todos murió también la mujer.

And last of all the woman died also.

Alla risurrezione, dunque, di quale dei sette sarà ella moglie? Poiché tutti l’hanno avuta.

En la resurrección pues, ¿de cuál de los siete será ella mujer? porque todos la tuvieron.

Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

Ma Gesù, rispondendo, disse loro: Voi errate, perché non conoscete le Scritture, né la potenza di Dio.

Entonces respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Erráis ignorando las Escrituras, y el poder de Dios.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

But Jesus answered them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.

Perché alla risurrezione né si prende né si dà moglie; ma i risorti son come angeli ne’ cieli.

Porque en la resurrección, ni los hombres tomarán mujeres, ni las mujeres maridos; mas son como los ángeles de Dios en el cielo.

For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like God’s angels in heaven.

Quanto poi alla risurrezione dei morti, non avete voi letto quel che vi fu insegnato da Dio,

Y de la resurrección de los muertos, ¿no habéis leído lo que os es dicho por Dios, que dice:

But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,

quando disse: Io sono l’Iddio di Abramo e l’Iddio d’Isacco e l’Iddio di Giacobbe? Egli non è l’Iddio de’ morti, ma de’ viventi.

Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, y el Dios de Isaac, y el Dios de Jacob? Dios no es Dios de muertos, sino de vivos.

I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”

E le turbe, udite queste cose, stupivano della sua dottrina.

Y oyendo esto las gentes, estaban atónitas de su doctrina.

And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

When the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.

Or i Farisei, udito ch’egli avea chiusa la bocca a’ Sadducei, si raunarono insieme;

Entonces los Fariseos, oyendo que había cerrado la boca á los Saduceos, se juntaron á una.

But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.

But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together.

e uno di loro, dottor della legge, gli domandò, per metterlo alla prova:

Y preguntó uno de ellos, intérprete de la ley, tentándole y diciendo:

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.

Maestro, qual è, nella legge, il gran comandamento?

Maestro, ¿cuál es el mandamiento grande en la ley?

Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”

E Gesù gli disse: Ama il Signore Iddio tuo con tutto il tuo cuore e con tutta l’anima tua e con tutta la mente tua.

Y Jesús le dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y de toda tu mente.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

Questo è il grande e il primo comandamento.

Este es el primero y el grande mandamiento.

This is the first and great commandment.

Il secondo, simile ad esso, è: Ama il tuo prossimo come te stesso.

Y el segundo es semejante á éste: Amarás á tu prójimo como á ti mismo.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

Da questi due comandamenti dipendono tutta la legge ed i profeti.

De estos dos mandamientos depende toda la ley y los profetas.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

Or essendo i Farisei raunati, Gesù li interrogò dicendo:

Y estando juntos los Fariseos, Jesús les preguntó,

While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question,

Che vi par egli del Cristo? di chi è egli figliuolo? Essi gli risposero: Di Davide.

Diciendo: ¿Qué os parece del Cristo? ¿de quién es Hijo? Dícenle: De David.

Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.

saying, “What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “Of David.”

Ed egli a loro: Come dunque Davide, parlando per lo Spirito, lo chiama Signore, dicendo:

El les dice: ¿Pues cómo David en Espíritu le llama Señor, diciendo:

He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,

Il Signore ha detto al mio Signore: Siedi alla mia destra finché io abbia posto i tuoi nemici sotto i tuoi piedi?

Dijo el Señor á mi Señor: Siéntate á mi diestra, entre tanto que pongo tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies?

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet’?

Se dunque Davide lo chiama Signore, com’è egli suo figliuolo?

Pues si David le llama Señor, ¿cómo es su Hijo?

If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

“If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”

E nessuno potea replicargli parola; e da quel giorno nessuno ardì più interrogarlo.

Y nadie le podía responder palabra; ni osó alguno desde aquel día preguntarle más.

And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

No one was able to answer him a word, neither did any man dare ask him any more questions from that day forward.
