Und Jesus hob an und redete wieder in Gleichnissen zu ihnen und sprach:

Das Himmelreich ist einem menschlichen König gleich, der seinem Sohne Hochzeit machte.

Und er sandte seine Knechte aus, um die Geladenen zur Hochzeit zu rufen; aber sie wollten nicht kommen.

Da sandte er nochmals andere Knechte und sprach: Siehe, meine Mahlzeit habe ich bereitet; meine Ochsen und das Mastvieh sind geschlachtet, und alles ist bereit; kommet zur Hochzeit!

Volvió á enviar otros siervos, diciendo: Decid á los llamados: He aquí, mi comida he aparejado; mis toros y animales engordados son muertos, y todo está prevenido: venid á las bodas.

Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

Sie aber achteten nicht darauf, sondern gingen hin, der eine auf seinen Acker, der andere zu seinem Gewerbe;

Da wurde der König zornig, sandte seine Heere aus und brachte diese Mörder um und zündete ihre Stadt an.

Dann sprach er zu seinen Knechten: Die Hochzeit ist zwar bereit, aber die Geladenen waren nicht würdig;

darum gehet hin an die Kreuzungen der Straßen und ladet zur Hochzeit, soviele ihr findet!

Id pues á las salidas de los caminos, y llamad á las bodas á cuantos hallareis.

Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the wedding feast.’

Und die Knechte gingen hinaus auf die Straßen und brachten alle zusammen, die sie fanden, Böse und Gute, und der Hochzeitssaal ward voll von Gästen.

Y saliendo los siervos por los caminos, juntaron á todos los que hallaron, juntamente malos y buenos: y las bodas fueron llenas de convidados.

And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

Da sprach der König zu den Dienern: Bindet ihm Hände und Füße und werfet ihn hinaus in die äußerste Finsternis! Da wird das Heulen und Zähneknirschen sein.

Entonces el rey dijo á los que servían: Atado de pies y de manos tomadle, y echadle en las tinieblas de afuera: allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.

Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Denn viele sind berufen, aber wenige sind auserwählt!

Da gingen die Pharisäer und hielten Rat, wie sie ihn in der Rede fangen könnten.

Y envían á él los discípulos de ellos, con los Herodianos, diciendo: Maestro, sabemos que eres amador de la verdad, y que enseñas con verdad el camino de Dios, y que no te curas de nadie, porque no tienes acepción de persona de hombres.

And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.

Darum sage uns, was dünkt dich: Ist es erlaubt, dem Kaiser die Steuer zu geben, oder nicht?

Dinos pues, ¿qué te parece? ¿es lícito dar tributo á César, ó no?

Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

Als aber Jesus ihre Bosheit merkte, sprach er: Ihr Heuchler, was versucht ihr mich?

Mas Jesús, entendida la malicia de ellos, les dice: ¿Por qué me tentáis, hipócritas?

Und er spricht zu ihnen: Wessen ist das Bild und die Aufschrift?

And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?

He asked them, “Whose is this image and inscription?”

Sie sprachen zu ihm: Des Kaisers. Da spricht er zu ihnen: So gebet dem Kaiser, was des Kaisers ist, und Gott, was Gottes ist!

Dícenle: De César. Y díceles: Pagad pues á César lo que es de César, y á Dios lo que es de Dios.

They say unto him, Cæsar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which are Cæsar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Und als sie das hörten, verwunderten sie sich, und sie ließen ihn und gingen davon.

Y oyendo esto, se maravillaron; y dejándole se fueron.

When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

An jenem Tage traten Sadduzäer zu ihm, die da sagen, es gebe keine Auferstehung, fragten ihn

Aquel día llegaron á él los Saduceos, que dicen no haber resurrección, y le preguntaron,

The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him,

und sprachen: Meister, Mose hat gesagt: «Wenn jemand ohne Kinder stirbt, so soll sein Bruder dessen Frau zur Ehe nehmen und seinem Bruder Nachkommen erwecken.»

Diciendo: Maestro, Moisés dijo: Si alguno muriere sin hijos, su hermano se casará con su mujer, y despertará simiente á su hermano.

Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.’

Nun waren bei uns sieben Brüder. Der erste heiratete und starb; und weil er keine Nachkommen hatte, hinterließ er seine Frau seinem Bruder.

Fueron pues, entre nosotros siete hermanos: y el primero tomó mujer, y murió; y no teniendo generación, dejó su mujer á su hermano.

Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no offspring left his wife to his brother.

Desgleichen auch der andere und der dritte, bis zum siebenten.

De la misma manera también el segundo, y el tercero, hasta los siete.

Zuletzt, nach allen, starb auch die Frau.

In der Auferstehung nun, wem von den Sieben wird sie als Frau angehören? Denn alle haben sie zur Frau gehabt.

En la resurrección pues, ¿de cuál de los siete será ella mujer? porque todos la tuvieron.

Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

Aber Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Ihr irrt, weil ihr weder die Schrift noch die Kraft Gottes kennt.

Entonces respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Erráis ignorando las Escrituras, y el poder de Dios.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Denn in der Auferstehung freien sie nicht, noch lassen sie sich freien, sondern sie sind wie die Engel Gottes im Himmel.

Porque en la resurrección, ni los hombres tomarán mujeres, ni las mujeres maridos; mas son como los ángeles de Dios en el cielo.

For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Was aber die Auferstehung der Toten betrifft, habt ihr nicht gelesen, was euch von Gott gesagt ist, der da spricht:

But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

«Ich bin der Gott Abrahams und der Gott Isaaks und der Gott Jakobs»? Er ist aber nicht ein Gott der Toten, sondern der Lebendigen.

Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, y el Dios de Isaac, y el Dios de Jacob? Dios no es Dios de muertos, sino de vivos.

I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”

Und als die Menge solches hörte, erstaunte sie über seine Lehre.

Y oyendo esto las gentes, estaban atónitas de su doctrina.

And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

Als nun die Pharisäer hörten, daß er den Sadduzäern den Mund gestopft, versammelten sie sich;

und einer von ihnen, ein Schriftgelehrter, versuchte ihn und sprach:

Y preguntó uno de ellos, intérprete de la ley, tentándole y diciendo:

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.

Meister, welches ist das größte Gebot im Gesetz?

Maestro, ¿cuál es el mandamiento grande en la ley?

Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”

Jesus sprach zu ihm: «Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, lieben mit deinem ganzen Herzen und mit deiner ganzen Seele und mit deinem ganzen Gemüt.»

Y Jesús le dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y de toda tu mente.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

Das ist das erste und größte Gebot.

Ein anderes aber ist ihm gleich: «Du sollst deinen Nächsten lieben wie dich selbst.»

An diesen zwei Geboten hängt das ganze Gesetz und die Propheten.

De estos dos mandamientos depende toda la ley y los profetas.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

Als nun die Pharisäer versammelt waren, fragte sie Jesus

Y estando juntos los Fariseos, Jesús les preguntó,

und sprach: Was dünkt euch von Christus? Wessen Sohn ist er? Sie sagten zu ihm: Davids.

Diciendo: ¿Qué os parece del Cristo? ¿de quién es Hijo? Dícenle: De David.

Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.

saying, “What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “Of David.”

Er spricht zu ihnen: Wie nennt ihn denn David im Geiste «Herr», da er spricht:

El les dice: ¿Pues cómo David en Espíritu le llama Señor, diciendo:

He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,

He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,

«Der Herr hat zu meinem Herrn gesagt: Setze dich zu meiner Rechten, bis ich deine Feinde hinlege als Schemel deiner Füße»?

Dijo el Señor á mi Señor: Siéntate á mi diestra, entre tanto que pongo tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies?

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet’?

Wenn also David ihn Herr nennt, wie ist er denn sein Sohn?

Pues si David le llama Señor, ¿cómo es su Hijo?

If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

“If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”

Und niemand konnte ihm ein Wort antworten. Auch unterstand sich von jenem Tage an niemand mehr, ihn zu fragen.

Y nadie le podía responder palabra; ni osó alguno desde aquel día preguntarle más.

And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

No one was able to answer him a word, neither did any man dare ask him any more questions from that day forward.
