ENTONCES habló Jesús á las gentes y á sus discípulos,
Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,

und sprach: Auf Moses Stuhl sitzen die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisaer.
Diciendo: Sobre la cátedra de Moisés se sentaron los escribas y los Fariseos:

Alles nun, was sie euch sagen, daß ihr halten sollet, das haltet und tut's; aber nach ihren Werken sollt ihr nicht tun. Sie sagen's wohl und tun's nicht.
Así que, todo lo que os dijeren que guardéis, guardadlo y hacedlo; mas no hagáis conforme á sus obras: porque dicen, y no hacen.
All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
All things therefore whatever they tell you to observe, observe and do, but don’t do their works; for they say, and don’t do.
Sie binden aber schwere und unertragliche Burden und legen sie den Menschen auf den Hals; aber sie wollen dieselben nicht mit einem Finger regen.
Porque atan cargas pesadas y difíciles de llevar, y las ponen sobre los hombros de los hombres; mas ni aun con su dedo las quieren mover.
For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Alle ihre Werke aber tun sie, dafi sie von den Leuten gesehen werden. Sie machen ihre Denkzettel breit und die Saume an ihren Kleidern grofi.
Antes, todas sus obras hacen para ser mirados de los hombres; porque ensanchan sus filacterias, y extienden los flecos de sus mantos;
But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,

Sie sitzen gem obenan uber Tisch und in den Schulen
Y aman los primeros asientos en las cenas, y las primeras sillas en las sinagogas;
And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
and love the place of honor at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,
und haben's gerne, daß sie gegrufiet werden auf dem Markt und von den Menschen Rabbi genannt werden.

And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

Aber ihr sollt euch nicht Rabbi nennen lassen; denn einer, ist euer Meister, Christus; ihr aber seid alle Brüder.
Mas vosotros, no queráis ser llamados Rabbí; porque uno es vuestro Maestro, el Cristo; y todos vosotros sois hermanos.
But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi’, for one is your teacher, the Christ, and all of you are brothers.
Und sollet niemand Vater heüien auf Erden; denn einer ist euer Vater, der im Himmel ist.
Y vuestro padre no llaméis á nadie en la tierra; porque uno es vuestro Padre, el cual está en los cielos.
And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
Call no man on the earth your father, for one is your Father, he who is in heaven.
und ihr sollt euch nicht lassen Meister nennen; denn einer ist euer Meister, Christus.

Der Grdßte unter euch soil euer Diener sein.
El que es el mayor de vosotros, sea vuestro siervo.
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Denn wer sich selbst erhohet, der wird erniedriget, und wer sich selbst erniedriget, der wird erhdhet.
Porque el que se ensalzare, será humillado; y el que se humillare, será ensalzado.
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrte und Pharisaer, ihr Heuchler, die ihr das Himmelreich zuschlieftt vor den Menschen! Ihr kommet nicht hinein, und die hinein wolien, lasset ihr nicht hineingehen.
Mas ¡ay de vosotros, escribas y Fariseos, hipócritas! porque cerráis el reino de los cielos delante de los hombres; que ni vosotros entráis, ni á los que están entrando dejáis entrar.
But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and as a pretense you make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.
Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrte und Pharisaer, ihr Heuchler, die ihr der Witwen Hauser fresset und wendet lange Gebete vor! Darum werdet ihr desto mehr Verdammnis empfahen.
¡Ay de vosotros, escribas y Fariseos, hipócritas! porque coméis las casas de las viudas, y por pretexto hacéis larga oración: por esto llevaréis más grave juicio.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the Kingdom of Heaven against men; for you don’t enter in yourselves, neither do you allow those who are entering in to enter.
Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrte und Pharisaer, ihr Heuchler, die ihr Land und Wasser umziehet, dafi ihr einen Judengenossen machet! Und wenn er's worden ist, macht ihr aus ihm ein Kind der Holle, zwiefaltig mehr, denn ihr seid.
¡Ay de vosotros, escribas y Fariseos, hipócritas! porque rodeáis la mar y la tierra por hacer un prosélito; y cuando fuere hecho, le hacéis hijo del infierno doble más que vosotros.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel around by sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of Gehenna as yourselves.
Wehe euch, verblendete Leiter, die ihr saget: Wer da schworet bei dem Tempel, das ist nichts; wer aber schworet bei dem Golde am Tempel, der ist schuldig.
¡Ay de vosotros, guías ciegos! que decís: Cualquiera que jurare por el templo es nada; mas cualquiera que jurare por el oro del templo, deudor es.
Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
“Woe to you, you blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obligated.’
Ihr Narren und Blinden, was ist grofier, das Gold Oder der Tempel, der das Gold heiliget?
¡Insensatos y ciegos! porque ¿cuál es mayor, el oro, ó el templo que santifica al oro?
Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?
Wer da schworet bei dem Altar; das ist nichts; wer aber schworet bei dem Opfer, das droben ist, der ist schuldig.
Y: Cualquiera que jurare por el altar, es nada; mas cualquiera que jurare por el presente que está sobre él, deudor es.
And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
And, ‘Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is obligated.’
Ihr Narren und Blinden, was ist grofier, das Opfer Oder der Altar, der das Opfer heiliget?
¡Necios y ciegos! porque, ¿cuál es mayor, el presente, ó el altar que santifica al presente?
Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
You blind fools! For which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift?
Darum, wer da schworet bei dem Altar, der schworet bei demselben und bei allem, was droben ist.
Pues el que jurare por el altar, jura por él, y por todo lo que está sobre él;
Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
He therefore who swears by the altar, swears by it and by everything on it.
Und wer da schworet bei dem Tempel, der schworet bei demselbigen und bei dem, derdrinnen wohnet.
Y el que jurare por el templo, jura por él, y por Aquél que habita en él;
And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.

Und wer da schworet bei dem Himmel, der schworet bei dem Stuhl Gottes und bei dem, der darauf sitzt.
Y el que jura por el cielo, jura por el trono de Dios, y por Aquél que está sentado sobre él.
And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
He who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God and by him who sits on it.
Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrte und Pharisaer, ihr Heuchler, die ihr verzehntet die Minze, Till und Kümmel und lasset dahinten das Schwerste im Gesetz, namlich das Gericht, die Barmherzigkeit und den Glauben. Dies sollte man tun und jenes nicht lassen.
¡Ay de vosotros, escribas y Fariseos, hipócritas! porque diezmáis la menta y el eneldo y el comino, y dejasteis lo que es lo más grave de la ley, es á saber, el juicio y la misericordia y la fe: esto era menester hacer, y no dejar lo otro.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint, dill, and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faith. But you ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.
Ihr verblendete Leiter, die ihr Mücken seihet und Kamele verschlucket!
¡Guías ciegos, que coláis el mosquito, mas tragáis el camello!
Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
You blind guides, who strain out a gnat, and swallow a camel!
Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrte und Pharisaer, ihr Heuchler, die ihr die Becher und Schusseln auswendig reinlich haltet, inwendig aber ist's voll Raubes und Frames.
¡Ay de vosotros, escribas y Fariseos, hipócritas! porque limpiáis lo que está de fuera del vaso y del plato; mas de dentro están llenos de robo y de injusticia.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and unrighteousness.
Du blinder Pharisaer, reinige zum ersten das Inwendige am Becher und Schüssel, auf daß auch das Auswendige rein werde!
¡Fariseo ciego, limpia primero lo de dentro del vaso y del plato, para que también lo de fuera se haga limpio!
Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
You blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and of the platter, that its outside may become clean also.
Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrte und Pharisaer, ihr Heuchler, die ihrgleich seid wie die ubertunchten Graber, welche auswendig hübsch scheinen, aber inwendig sind sie voller Totenbeine und alles Unflats.
¡Ay de vosotros, escribas y Fariseos, hipócritas! porque sois semejantes á sepulcros blanqueados, que de fuera, á la verdad, se muestran hermosos, mas de dentro están llenos de huesos de muertos y de toda suciedad.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitened tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men’s bones and of all uncleanness.
Also auch ihr; von aulien scheinet ihr vor den Menschen fromm, aber inwendig seid ihr voller Heuchelei und Untugend.
Así también vosotros de fuera, á la verdad, os mostráis justos á los hombres; mas de dentro, llenos estáis de hipocresía é iniquidad.

Wehe euch, Schriftgelehrte und Pharisaer, ihr Heuchler, die ihr der Propheten Graber bauet und schmucket der Gerechten Graber
¡Ay de vosotros, escribas y Fariseos, hipócritas! porque edificáis los sepulcros de los profetas, y adornáis los monumentos de los justos,
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and decorate the tombs of the righteous,
und sprechet: Waren wir zu unserer Vater Zeiten gewesen, so wollten wir nicht teilhaftig sein mit ihnen an der Propheten Blut.
Y decís: Si fuéramos en los días de nuestros padres, no hubiéramos sido sus compañeros en la sangre de los profetas.
And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

So gebt ihr zwar uber euch selbst Zeugnis, daß ihr Kinder seid derer die, die Propheten getotet haben.
Así que, testimonio dais á vosotros mismos, que sois hijos de aquellos que mataron á los profetas.
Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
Therefore you testify to yourselves that you are children of those who killed the prophets.
Wohlan, erfüllet auch ihr das Mali eurer Vater!

Ihr Schlangen, ihr Otterngezuchte, wie wollt ihr der hollischen Verdammnis entrinnen?
¡Serpientes, generación de víboras! ¿cómo evitaréis el juicio del infierno?
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
You serpents, you offspring of vipers, how will you escape the judgment of Gehenna?
Darum siehe, ich sende zu euch Propheten und Weise und Schriftgelehrte; und derselbigen werdet ihr etliche toten und kreuzigen und etliche werdet ihr geilieln in euren Schulen und werdet sie verfolgen von einer Stadt zu der andern,
Por tanto, he aquí, yo envío á vosotros profetas, y sabios, y escribas: y de ellos, á unos mataréis y crucificaréis, y á otros de ellos azotaréis en vuestras sinagogas, y perseguiréis de ciudad en ciudad:
Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

Para que venga sobre vosotros toda la sangre justa que se ha derramado sobre la tierra, desde la sangre de Abel el justo, hasta la sangre de Zacarías, hijo de Barachîas, al cual matasteis entre el templo y el altar.
That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zachariah son of Barachiah, whom you killed between the sanctuary and the altar.
Wahrlich, ich sage euch, daß solches alles wird uber dies Geschlecht kommen.
De cierto os digo que todo esto vendrá sobre esta generación.
Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

Jerusalem, Jerusalem, die du totest die Propheten und steinigest, die zu dir gesandt sind, wie oft habe ich deine Kinder versammeln wollen, wie eine Henne versammelt ihre Kuchlein unter ihre Flügel; und ihr habt nicht gewollt!
¡Jerusalem, Jerusalem, que matas á los profetas, y apedreas á los que son enviados á ti! ¡cuántas veces quise juntar tus hijos, como la gallina junta sus pollos debajo de las alas, y no quisiste!
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I would have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you would not!
Siehe, euer Haus soil euch wüste gelassen werden.
He aquí vuestra casa os es dejada desierta.
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

Denn ich sage euch: Ihr werdet mich von jetzt an nicht sehen, bis ihr sprechet: Gelobet sei, der da kommt im Namen des Herrn!
Porque os digo que desde ahora no me veréis, hasta que digáis: Bendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor.
For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
