»Alsdann wird das Himmelreich zehn Jungfrauen gleichen, die sich mit ihren Lampen in der Hand zur Einholung des Bräutigams aufmachten.

ENTONCES el reino de los cielos será semejante á diez vírgenes, que tomando sus lámparas, salieron á recibir al esposo.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

“Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Fünf von ihnen waren töricht und fünf klug;

Y las cinco de ellas eran prudentes, y las cinco fatuas.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.

denn die törichten nahmen wohl ihre Lampen, nahmen aber kein Öl mit;

Las que eran fatuas, tomando sus lámparas, no tomaron consigo aceite;

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them,

die klugen dagegen nahmen außer ihren Lampen auch noch Öl in den Gefäßen mit sich.

Mas las prudentes tomaron aceite en sus vasos, juntamente con sus lámparas.

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Als nun der Bräutigam auf sich warten ließ, wurden sie alle müde und schliefen ein.

Y tardándose el esposo, cabecearon todas, y se durmieron.

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Um Mitternacht aber erscholl ein Geschrei: ›Der Bräutigam ist da! Macht euch auf, ihn zu empfangen!‹

Y á la media noche fué oído un clamor: He aquí, el esposo viene; salid á recibirle.

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’

Da erhoben sich jene Jungfrauen alle vom Schlaf und brachten ihre Lampen in Ordnung;

Entonces todas aquellas vírgenes se levantaron, y aderezaron sus lámparas.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

die törichten aber sagten zu den klugen: ›Gebt uns von eurem Öl, denn unsere Lampen wollen ausgehen!‹

Y las fatuas dijeron á las prudentes: Dadnos de vuestro aceite; porque nuestras lámparas se apagan.

And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

The foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

Da antworteten die klugen: ›Nein, es würde für uns und euch nicht reichen; geht lieber zu den Krämern und kauft euch welches!‹

Mas las prudentes respondieron, diciendo: Porque no nos falte á nosotras y á vosotras, id antes á los que venden, y comprad para vosotras.

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

But the wise answered, saying, ‘What if there isn’t enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

Während sie nun hingingen, um Öl einzukaufen, kam der Bräutigam, und die Jungfrauen, welche in Bereitschaft waren, gingen mit ihm zum Hochzeitsmahl hinein, und die Tür wurde verschlossen.

Y mientras que ellas iban á comprar, vino el esposo; y las que estaban apercibidas, entraron con él á las bodas; y se cerró la puerta.

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut.

Später kamen dann auch noch die übrigen Jungfrauen und riefen: ›Herr, Herr, öffne uns doch!‹

Y después vinieron también las otras vírgenes, diciendo: Señor, Señor, ábrenos.

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’

Er aber gab ihnen zur Antwort: ›Wahrlich ich sage euch: Ich kenne euch nicht!‹

Mas respondiendo él, dijo: De cierto os digo, que no os conozco.

But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

But he answered, ‘Most certainly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

Darum seid wachsam, denn Tag und Stunde sind euch unbekannt.«

Velad, pues, porque no sabéis el día ni la hora en que el Hijo del hombre ha de venir.

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

»Es wird so sein wie bei einem Manne, der vor Antritt einer Reise ins Ausland seine Knechte rief und ihnen sein Vermögen (zur Verwaltung) übergab;

Porque el reino de los cielos es como un hombre que partiéndose lejos llamó á sus siervos, y les entregó sus bienes.

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

“For it is like a man going into another country, who called his own servants and entrusted his goods to them.

dem einen gab er fünf Talente, dem andern zwei, dem dritten eins, einem jeden nach seiner Tüchtigkeit; dann reiste er ab.

Y á éste dió cinco talentos, y al otro dos, y al otro uno: á cada uno conforme á su facultad; y luego se partió lejos.

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his own ability. Then he went on his journey.

Da ging der, welcher die fünf Talente empfangen hatte, sogleich ans Werk, machte Geschäfte mit dem Geld und gewann andere fünf Talente;

Y el que había recibido cinco talentos se fué, y granjeó con ellos, é hizo otros cinco talentos.

Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.

ebenso gewann der, welcher die zwei Talente (empfangen hatte), zwei andere dazu.

Asimismo el que había recibido dos, ganó también él otros dos.

And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

In the same way, he also who got the two gained another two.

Der (Knecht) aber, welcher das eine Talent erhalten hatte, ging hin, grub ein Loch in die Erde und verbarg darin das Geld seines Herrn.

Mas el que había recibido uno, fué y cavó en la tierra, y escondió el dinero de su señor.

But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

But he who received the one talent went away and dug in the earth and hid his lord’s money.

Nach längerer Zeit kam der Herr dieser Knechte zurück und rechnete mit ihnen ab.

Y después de mucho tiempo, vino el señor de aquellos siervos, é hizo cuentas con ellos.

After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

“Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and settled accounts with them.

Da trat der herzu, welcher die fünf Talente empfangen hatte, brachte noch fünf andere Talente mit und sagte: ›Herr, fünf Talente hast du mir übergeben; hier sind noch andere fünf Talente, die ich dazugewonnen habe.‹

Y llegando el que había recibido cinco talentos, trajo otros cinco talentos, diciendo: Señor, cinco talentos me entregaste; he aquí otros cinco talentos he ganado sobre ellos.

And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents in addition to them.’

Da sagte sein Herr zu ihm: ›Schön, du guter und treuer Knecht! Du bist über Wenigem treu gewesen, ich will dich über Vieles setzen: gehe ein zum Freudenmahl deines Herrn!‹

Y su señor le dijo: Bien, buen siervo y fiel; sobre poco has sido fiel, sobre mucho te pondré: entra en el gozo de tu señor.

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

Dann kam auch der (Knecht) herbei, der die zwei Talente (empfangen hatte), und sagte: ›Herr, zwei Talente hast du mir übergeben; hier sind noch zwei andere Talente, die ich dazugewonnen habe.‹

Y llegando también el que había recibido dos talentos, dijo: Señor, dos talentos me entregaste; he aquí otros dos talentos he ganado sobre ellos.

He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

“He also who got the two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents in addition to them.’

Da sagte sein Herr zu ihm: ›Schön, du guter und treuer Knecht! Du bist über Wenigem treu gewesen, ich will dich über Vieles setzen: gehe ein zum Freudenmahl deines Herrn!‹

Su señor le dijo: Bien, buen siervo y fiel; sobre poco has sido fiel, sobre mucho te pondré: entra en el gozo de tu señor.

Da trat auch der herzu, welcher das eine Talent empfangen hatte, und sagte: ›Herr, ich wußte von dir, daß du ein harter Mann bist: du erntest, wo du nicht gesät hast, und sammelst ein, wo du nicht ausgestreut hast.

Y llegando también el que había recibido un talento, dijo: Señor, te conocía que eres hombre duro, que siegas donde no sembraste, y recoges donde no esparciste;

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

“He also who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you didn’t sow, and gathering where you didn’t scatter.

Da bin ich aus Furcht hingegangen und habe dein Talent in der Erde verborgen: hier hast du dein Geld wieder!‹

Y tuve miedo, y fuí, y escondí tu talento en la tierra: he aquí tienes lo que es tuyo.

And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.’

Da antwortete ihm sein Herr: ›Du böser und träger Knecht! Du wußtest, daß ich ernte, wo ich nicht gesät habe, und einsammle, wo ich nicht ausgestreut habe?

Y respondiendo su señor, le dijo: Malo y negligente siervo, sabías que siego donde no sembré y que recojo donde no esparcí;

His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

“But his lord answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn’t sow, and gather where I didn’t scatter.

Nun, so hättest du mein Geld bei den Bankhaltern anlegen sollen; dann hätte ich bei meiner Rückkehr mein Geld mit Zinsen zurückerhalten.

Por tanto te convenía dar mi dinero á los banqueros, y viniendo yo, hubiera recibido lo que es mío con usura.

Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest.

So nehmt ihm nun das Talent ab und gebt es dem, der die zehn Talente hat.

Quitadle pues el talento, y dadlo al que tiene diez talentos.

Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

Take away therefore the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents.

Denn jedem, der da hat, wird noch hinzugegeben werden, so daß er Überfluß hat; wer aber nicht hat, dem wird auch noch das genommen werden, was er hat.

Porque á cualquiera que tuviere, le será dado, y tendrá más; y al que no tuviere, aun lo que tiene le será quitado.

For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away.

Den unnützen Knecht jedoch werft hinaus in die Finsternis draußen! Dort wird lautes Weinen und Zähneknirschen sein.«

Y al siervo inútil echadle en las tinieblas de afuera: allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Throw out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

»Wenn aber der Menschensohn in seiner Herrlichkeit kommt und alle Engel mit ihm, dann wird er sich auf den Thron seiner Herrlichkeit setzen;

Y cuando el Hijo del hombre venga en su gloria, y todos los santos ángeles con él, entonces se sentará sobre el trono de su gloria.

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

alle Völker werden alsdann vor ihm versammelt werden, und er wird sie voneinander scheiden, wie der Hirt die Schafe von den Böcken scheidet;

Y serán reunidas delante de él todas las gentes: y los apartará los unos de los otros, como aparta el pastor las ovejas de los cabritos.

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

und er wird die Schafe zu seiner Rechten, die Böcke aber zu seiner Linken stellen.

Y pondrá las ovejas á su derecha, y los cabritos á la izquierda.

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Dann wird der König zu denen auf seiner rechten Seite sagen: ›Kommt her, ihr von meinem Vater Gesegneten! Empfangt als euer Erbe das Königtum, das für euch seit Grundlegung der Welt bereitgehalten ist.

Entonces el Rey dirá á los que estarán á su derecha: Venid, benditos de mi Padre, heredad el reino preparado para vosotros desde la fundación del mundo:

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;

Denn ich bin hungrig gewesen, und ihr habt mir zu essen gegeben; ich bin durstig gewesen, und ihr habt mir zu trinken gereicht; ich bin ein Fremdling gewesen, und ihr habt mich beherbergt;

Porque tuve hambre, y me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y me disteis de beber; fuí huésped, y me recogisteis;

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

for I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in.

ich bin ohne Kleidung gewesen, und ihr habt mich gekleidet; ich bin krank gewesen, und ihr habt mich besucht; ich habe im Gefängnis gelegen, und ihr seid zu mir gekommen.‹

Desnudo, y me cubristeis; enfermo, y me visitasteis; estuve en la cárcel, y vinisteis á mí.

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.’

Dann werden ihm die Gerechten antworten: ›Herr, wann haben wir dich hungrig gesehen und haben dich gespeist? Oder durstig und haben dir zu trinken gereicht?

Entonces los justos le responderán, diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento, y te sustentamos? ¿ó sediento, y te dimos de beber?

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

“Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink?

Wann haben wir dich als Fremdling gesehen und haben dich beherbergt? Oder ohne Kleidung und haben dich bekleidet?

¿Y cuándo te vimos huésped, y te recogimos? ¿ó desnudo, y te cubrimos?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

When did we see you as a stranger and take you in, or naked and clothe you?

Wann haben wir dich krank oder im Gefängnis gesehen und sind zu dir gekommen?‹

¿O cuándo te vimos enfermo, ó en la cárcel, y vinimos á ti?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

When did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?’

Dann wird der König ihnen antworten: ›Wahrlich ich sage euch: Alles, was ihr einem von diesen meinen geringsten Brüdern getan habt, das habt ihr mir getan.‹

Y respondiendo el Rey, les dirá: De cierto os digo que en cuanto lo hicisteis á uno de estos mis hermanos pequeñitos, á mí lo hicisteis.

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

“The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Alsdann wird er auch zu denen auf seiner linken Seite sagen: ›Hinweg von mir, ihr Verfluchten, in das ewige Feuer, das für den Teufel und seine Engel bereitet ist!

Entonces dirá también á los que estarán á la izquierda: Apartaos de mí, malditos, al fuego eterno preparado para el diablo y para sus ángeles:

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;

Denn ich bin hungrig gewesen, aber ihr habt mir nichts zu essen gegeben; ich bin durstig gewesen, aber ihr habt mir nichts zu trinken gereicht;

Porque tuve hambre, y no me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y no me disteis de beber;

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;

ich bin ein Fremdling gewesen, aber ihr habt mich nicht beherbergt; ohne Kleidung, aber ihr habt mich nicht bekleidet; krank und im Gefängnis (habe ich gelegen), aber ihr habt mich nicht besucht.‹

Fuí huésped, y no me recogisteis; desnudo, y no me cubristeis; enfermo, y en la cárcel, y no me visitasteis.

I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

Dann werden auch diese antworten: ›Herr, wann haben wir dich hungrig oder durstig, als einen Fremdling oder ohne Kleidung, wann krank oder im Gefängnis gesehen und haben dir nicht gedient?‹

Entonces también ellos le responderán, diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento, ó sediento, ó huésped, ó desnudo, ó enfermo, ó en la cárcel, y no te servimos?

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

“Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’

Dann wird er ihnen zur Antwort geben: ›Wahrlich ich sage euch: Alles, was ihr einem von diesen Geringsten nicht getan habt, das habt ihr auch mir nicht getan.‹

Entonces les responderá, diciendo: De cierto os digo que en cuanto no lo hicisteis á uno de estos pequeñitos, ni á mí lo hicisteis.

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

“Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’

Und diese werden in die ewige Strafe gehen, die Gerechten aber in das ewige Leben.«

E irán éstos al tormento eterno, y los justos á la vida eterna.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
