Dann wird das Königreich der Himmel zehn Jungfrauen gleichen, welche, nachdem sie die Fackeln von ihnen ergriffen, hinausgingen zu der Begegnung des Bräutigams.

ENTONCES el reino de los cielos será semejante á diez vírgenes, que tomando sus lámparas, salieron á recibir al esposo.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

“Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Fünf aber aus diesen waren dumm und fünf vernünftig.

Y las cinco de ellas eran prudentes, y las cinco fatuas.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.

Denn die Dummen nahmen die Fackeln von ihnen, nicht nahmen sie mit sich Öl.

Las que eran fatuas, tomando sus lámparas, no tomaron consigo aceite;

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them,

Die Vernünftigen nahmen aber Öl in den Gefäßen mit ihren Lampen.

Mas las prudentes tomaron aceite en sus vasos, juntamente con sus lámparas.

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Aber wegen der Verzögerung des Bräutigams schliefen alle und ruhten.

Y tardándose el esposo, cabecearon todas, y se durmieron.

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

In der Mitte der Nacht entstand Geschrei: „Sieh, der Bräutigam! Geht ihr in seinem Entgegengehen!“

Y á la media noche fué oído un clamor: He aquí, el esposo viene; salid á recibirle.

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’

Dann standen alle Jungfrauen auf und ordneten die Fackeln von ihnen an.

Entonces todas aquellas vírgenes se levantaron, y aderezaron sus lámparas.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

Die Dummen aber sagten den Vernünftigen: „Gebt uns aus eurem Öl, weil die Lampen von uns erlöschen.“

Y las fatuas dijeron á las prudentes: Dadnos de vuestro aceite; porque nuestras lámparas se apagan.

And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

The foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

Die Vernünftigen antworteten aber, wobei sie sagten: „Niemals wird es dann für uns und euch reichen. Geht eher zu den Verkäufern und kauft es selbst!“

Mas las prudentes respondieron, diciendo: Porque no nos falte á nosotras y á vosotras, id antes á los que venden, y comprad para vosotras.

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

But the wise answered, saying, ‘What if there isn’t enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

Nachdem sie aber gegangen sind zu kaufen, kam der Bräutigam und die, die bereit waren, gingen mit diesem hinein auf die Hochzeit und die Tür wurde geschlossen.

Y mientras que ellas iban á comprar, vino el esposo; y las que estaban apercibidas, entraron con él á las bodas; y se cerró la puerta.

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut.

Später aber kamen sie, und die übrigen Jungfrauen sagten: „Herr, Herr, öffne uns!“

Y después vinieron también las otras vírgenes, diciendo: Señor, Señor, ábrenos.

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’

Der aber, der antwortete sagte: „Amen sage ich euch, ich weiß nichts von euch.

Mas respondiendo él, dijo: De cierto os digo, que no os conozco.

But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

But he answered, ‘Most certainly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

Seid wachsam jetzt, weil ihr nicht wisst, den Tag noch die Stunde.“

Velad, pues, porque no sabéis el día ni la hora en que el Hijo del hombre ha de venir.

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Denn es ist wie bei einem Menschen, der außer Landes reiste; Er rief seine eigenen Knechte und übergab ihnen seine Habe.

Porque el reino de los cielos es como un hombre que partiéndose lejos llamó á sus siervos, y les entregó sus bienes.

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

“For it is like a man going into another country, who called his own servants and entrusted his goods to them.

Und dem einen gab er fünf Talente, dem anderen zwei, einem anderen eines, jedem nach seinen eigenen Fähigkeiten, und reiste bald darauf ab.

Y á éste dió cinco talentos, y al otro dos, y al otro uno: á cada uno conforme á su facultad; y luego se partió lejos.

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his own ability. Then he went on his journey.

Der aber fünf Talente bekam, ging hin und gewann weitere fünf, indem er mit denselben Geschäfte machte.

Y el que había recibido cinco talentos se fué, y granjeó con ellos, é hizo otros cinco talentos.

Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.

Auf die selbe Weise (handelte) der, welcher zwei Talente (bekommen hatte), er gewann weitere zwei.

Asimismo el que había recibido dos, ganó también él otros dos.

And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

In the same way, he also who got the two gained another two.

Aber der, der das Eine bekommen hatte, (ging hin) vergrub (es) in die Erde und verbarg das Geld seines Herrn.

Mas el que había recibido uno, fué y cavó en la tierra, y escondió el dinero de su señor.

But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

But he who received the one talent went away and dug in the earth and hid his lord’s money.

Aber nach einer langen Zeit kommt der Herr jener Knechte und rechnete (die Angelegenheit) mit ihnen ab.

Y después de mucho tiempo, vino el señor de aquellos siervos, é hizo cuentas con ellos.

After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

“Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and settled accounts with them.

Und es trat herbei, der die fünf Talente bekommen hatte, brachte weitere fünf Talente und sagte: Herr, fünf Talente hast du mir übergeben, siehe weitere fünf Talente habe ich gewonnen.

Y llegando el que había recibido cinco talentos, trajo otros cinco talentos, diciendo: Señor, cinco talentos me entregaste; he aquí otros cinco talentos he ganado sobre ellos.

And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents in addition to them.’

Sein Herr sprach zu ihm: Recht so, du guter und treuer Knecht! Über weniges warst du treu, über vieles werde ich dich setzen. Gehe hinein in die Freude deines Herrn!

Y su señor le dijo: Bien, buen siervo y fiel; sobre poco has sido fiel, sobre mucho te pondré: entra en el gozo de tu señor.

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

Aber es trat auch herzu der, der die zwei Talente (bekam) und er sprach: Herr, zwei Talente hast du mir übergeben, siehe weitere zwei Talente habe ich gewonnen.

Y llegando también el que había recibido dos talentos, dijo: Señor, dos talentos me entregaste; he aquí otros dos talentos he ganado sobre ellos.

He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

“He also who got the two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents in addition to them.’

Sein Herr sprach zu ihm: Recht so, du guter und treuer Knecht! Über weniges warst du treu, über vieles werde ich dich setzen. Geh hinein in die Freude deines Herrn!

Su señor le dijo: Bien, buen siervo y fiel; sobre poco has sido fiel, sobre mucho te pondré: entra en el gozo de tu señor.

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things. I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

Aber es trat auch herzu der, der das eine Talent bekommen hatte und sprach: Herr, ich kenne dich: Du bist ein harter Mensch, denn du ernstes, wo du nicht gesät hast und sammelst, wo du nicht ausgestreut hast.

Y llegando también el que había recibido un talento, dijo: Señor, te conocía que eres hombre duro, que siegas donde no sembraste, y recoges donde no esparciste;

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

“He also who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you didn’t sow, and gathering where you didn’t scatter.

und weil ich mich fürchtete, darum ging ich hin und verbarg dein Talent in der Erde. Siehe da hast du das deine (wieder).

Y tuve miedo, y fuí, y escondí tu talento en la tierra: he aquí tienes lo que es tuyo.

And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.’

Aber sein Herr antwortete ihm: Du schlechter und fauler Knecht! Du wusstest, dass ich ernte wo ich nicht gesät habe und sammle wo ich nicht ausgestreut habe?

Y respondiendo su señor, le dijo: Malo y negligente siervo, sabías que siego donde no sembré y que recojo donde no esparcí;

His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

“But his lord answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn’t sow, and gather where I didn’t scatter.

Also hättest du mein Geld den Wechslern geben sollen und wenn ich wieder gekommen wäre hätte ich das meine mit Zinsen erhalten.

Por tanto te convenía dar mi dinero á los banqueros, y viniendo yo, hubiera recibido lo que es mío con usura.

Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest.

Also, nehmt ihm das Talent weg und gebt es dem, der die zehn Talente hat,

Quitadle pues el talento, y dadlo al que tiene diez talentos.

Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

Take away therefore the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents.

denn jedem, der da viel hat, wird gegeben werden, und er wird im Überfluss haben. Aber von dem, der nicht hat, dem wird auch das, was er hat, weggenommen werden.

Porque á cualquiera que tuviere, le será dado, y tendrá más; y al que no tuviere, aun lo que tiene le será quitado.

For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away.

Und dem unnützen Knecht werft in die äußerste Finsternis. Dort wird das Weinen und das Zähneklappern sein.

Y al siervo inútil echadle en las tinieblas de afuera: allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Throw out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Y cuando el Hijo del hombre venga en su gloria, y todos los santos ángeles con él, entonces se sentará sobre el trono de su gloria.

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

—

Y serán reunidas delante de él todas las gentes: y los apartará los unos de los otros, como aparta el pastor las ovejas de los cabritos.

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Y pondrá las ovejas á su derecha, y los cabritos á la izquierda.

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

—

Entonces el Rey dirá á los que estarán á su derecha: Venid, benditos de mi Padre, heredad el reino preparado para vosotros desde la fundación del mundo:

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;

Porque tuve hambre, y me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y me disteis de beber; fuí huésped, y me recogisteis;

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

for I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in.

—

Desnudo, y me cubristeis; enfermo, y me visitasteis; estuve en la cárcel, y vinisteis á mí.

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.’

Entonces los justos le responderán, diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento, y te sustentamos? ¿ó sediento, y te dimos de beber?

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

“Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink?

Wann aber haben wir dich fremd gesehen und dich aufgenommen, oder nackt und haben dir etwas übergezogen?

¿Y cuándo te vimos huésped, y te recogimos? ¿ó desnudo, y te cubrimos?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

When did we see you as a stranger and take you in, or naked and clothe you?

Wann aber haben wir dich krank gesehen oder im Gefängnis und sind zu dir gegangen?

¿O cuándo te vimos enfermo, ó en la cárcel, y vinimos á ti?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

When did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?’

Und der König wird ihnen folgendermaßen antworten: „Amen, ich sage euch: wie viel ihr getan habt einem dieser meiner geringsten Brüder, †so viel habt ihr mir getan.“

Y respondiendo el Rey, les dirá: De cierto os digo que en cuanto lo hicisteis á uno de estos mis hermanos pequeñitos, á mí lo hicisteis.

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

“The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Dann wird er auch zu denen †auf seiner Linken sagen: „Geht weg von mir, ihr Verfluchten, in des ewige Feuer, das †von dem Teufel und seinen Boten †vorbereitet ist.

Entonces dirá también á los que estarán á la izquierda: Apartaos de mí, malditos, al fuego eterno preparado para el diablo y para sus ángeles:

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;

Denn ich war hungrig, und ihr habt mir nicht zu essen gegeben, ich war durstig und ihr habt mich nicht getränkt,

Porque tuve hambre, y no me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y no me disteis de beber;

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;

ich war fremd und ihr habt mich nicht aufgenommen, †ich war nackt und ihr habt mir nichts übergezogen, †ich war krank und im Gefängnis und ihr habt nicht nach mir geschaut.“

Fuí huésped, y no me recogisteis; desnudo, y no me cubristeis; enfermo, y en la cárcel, y no me visitasteis.

I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

Dann werden sie antworten und sagen: „Herr, wann haben wir dich als Hungernden gesehen oder als Durstigen oder fremd oder nackt oder krank oder im Gefängnis und haben dir nicht gedient?“

Entonces también ellos le responderán, diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento, ó sediento, ó huésped, ó desnudo, ó enfermo, ó en la cárcel, y no te servimos?

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

“Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’

Dann wird er ihnen folgendermaßen antworten: „Amen, ich sage euch: wie viel ihr nicht getan habt einem dieser Geringsten, †so viel habt ihr auch nicht mir getan.“

Entonces les responderá, diciendo: De cierto os digo que en cuanto no lo hicisteis á uno de estos pequeñitos, ni á mí lo hicisteis.

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

“Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’

Und sie werden weggehen, diese in die ewige Strafe, die gerechten aber ins ewige Leben.

E irán éstos al tormento eterno, y los justos á la vida eterna.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
