Dann ist das Reich der Himmel zehn Jungfrauen zu vergleichen, die ihre Lampen nahmen und ausgingen, dem Bräutigam entgegen.

ENTONCES el reino de los cielos será semejante á diez vírgenes, que tomando sus lámparas, salieron á recibir al esposo.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

“Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Fünf derselben aber waren klug und fünf töricht.

Y las cinco de ellas eran prudentes, y las cinco fatuas.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.

Die töricht waren, nahmen ihre Lampen, aber sie nahmen kein Öl mit sich.

Las que eran fatuas, tomando sus lámparas, no tomaron consigo aceite;

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them,

Die klugen aber nahmen Öl in ihren Gefäßen mit ihren Lampen.

Mas las prudentes tomaron aceite en sus vasos, juntamente con sus lámparas.

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Da aber der Bräutigam verzog, nickten alle ein und schlummerten.

Y tardándose el esposo, cabecearon todas, y se durmieron.

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Um Mitternacht aber ward ein Geschrei: Siehe, der Bräutigam kommt, zieht aus, ihm entgegen!

Y á la media noche fué oído un clamor: He aquí, el esposo viene; salid á recibirle.

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’

Da erwachten alle diese Jungfrauen und schmückten ihre Lampen.

Entonces todas aquellas vírgenes se levantaron, y aderezaron sus lámparas.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

Die törichten aber sprachen zu den klugen: Gebt uns von eurem Öl, denn unsre Lampen erlöschen.

Y las fatuas dijeron á las prudentes: Dadnos de vuestro aceite; porque nuestras lámparas se apagan.

And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

The foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

Die klugen aber antworteten und sagten: Nicht doch! da möchte es uns und euch nicht genügen. Geht vielmehr zu denen, die es verkaufen, und kauft euch!

Mas las prudentes respondieron, diciendo: Porque no nos falte á nosotras y á vosotras, id antes á los que venden, y comprad para vosotras.

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

But the wise answered, saying, ‘What if there isn’t enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

Während sie aber hingingen zu kaufen, kam der Bräutigam; und die bereit waren, gingen mit ihm zur Hochzeit ein und die Tür ward verschlossen.

Y mientras que ellas iban á comprar, vino el esposo; y las que estaban apercibidas, entraron con él á las bodas; y se cerró la puerta.

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut.

Danach kamen auch die übrigen Jungfrauen und sagten: Herr, Herr! Tue uns auf!

Y después vinieron también las otras vírgenes, diciendo: Señor, Señor, ábrenos.

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’

Er aber antwortete und sprach: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, ich kenne euch nicht.

Mas respondiendo él, dijo: De cierto os digo, que no os conozco.

But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

But he answered, ‘Most certainly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

Wachet also, denn ihr wisset den Tag und die Stunde nicht, da des Menschen Sohn kommt.

Velad, pues, porque no sabéis el día ni la hora en que el Hijo del hombre ha de venir.

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

So wie ein Mensch, der über Land zog, seine eigenen Knechte rief und ihnen seine Habe übergab;

Porque el reino de los cielos es como un hombre que partiéndose lejos llamó á sus siervos, y les entregó sus bienes.

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

“For it is like a man going into another country, who called his own servants and entrusted his goods to them.

Und dem einen gab er fünf Talente, einem aber zwei, einem aber ein Talent, jedem nach seinen eigenen Kräften, und zog alsbald über Land.

Y á éste dió cinco talentos, y al otro dos, y al otro uno: á cada uno conforme á su facultad; y luego se partió lejos.

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his own ability. Then he went on his journey.

Der aber die fünf Talente empfangen hatte, ging hin und arbeitete damit und gewann fünf andere Talente.

Y el que había recibido cinco talentos se fué, y granjeó con ellos, é hizo otros cinco talentos.

Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.

Desgleichen auch der mit den zweien, und auch er gewann zwei andere.

Asimismo el que había recibido dos, ganó también él otros dos.

And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

In the same way, he also who got the two gained another two.

Der aber das eine empfangen hatte, ging hin und grub in der Erde, und verbarg das Silber seines Herrn.

Mas el que había recibido uno, fué y cavó en la tierra, y escondió el dinero de su señor.

But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

But he who received the one talent went away and dug in the earth and hid his lord’s money.

Nach langer Zeit aber kommt der Herr dieser Knechte und hält mit ihnen Rechnung ab.

Y después de mucho tiempo, vino el señor de aquellos siervos, é hizo cuentas con ellos.

After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

“Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and settled accounts with them.

Und es kam herzu, der die fünf Talente empfangen, und brachte fünf andere Talente dazu, und sprach: Herr, fünf Talente hast du mir übergeben; siehe, ich habe fünf andere Talente zu denselben gewonnen.

Y llegando el que había recibido cinco talentos, trajo otros cinco talentos, diciendo: Señor, cinco talentos me entregaste; he aquí otros cinco talentos he ganado sobre ellos.

And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents in addition to them.’

Sein Herr sprach zu ihm: Wohl, du guter und getreuer Knecht; du warst über weniges getreu, ich werde dich über vieles setzen; gehe ein zur Freude deines Herrn!

Y su señor le dijo: Bien, buen siervo y fiel; sobre poco has sido fiel, sobre mucho te pondré: entra en el gozo de tu señor.

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

Da kam aber auch herzu, der die zwei Talente empfangen hatte, und sprach: Herr, zwei Talente hast du mir übergeben; siehe, zwei andere Talente habe ich zu denselben gewonnen.

Y llegando también el que había recibido dos talentos, dijo: Señor, dos talentos me entregaste; he aquí otros dos talentos he ganado sobre ellos.

He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

“He also who got the two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents in addition to them.’

Sprach zu ihm sein Herr: Wohl, du guter und getreuer Knecht; du warst über weniges getreu, ich werde dich über vieles setzen. Gehe ein zur Freude deines Herrn!

Su señor le dijo: Bien, buen siervo y fiel; sobre poco has sido fiel, sobre mucho te pondré: entra en el gozo de tu señor.

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things. I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

Da kam aber auch herzu, der das eine Talent empfangen hatte, und sprach: Herr, ich kannte dich, daß du ein harter Mensch bist, erntest, wo du nicht gesät, und sammelst, wo du nicht ausgestreut hast.

Y llegando también el que había recibido un talento, dijo: Señor, te conocía que eres hombre duro, que siegas donde no sembraste, y recoges donde no esparciste;

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

“He also who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you didn’t sow, and gathering where you didn’t scatter.

Und ich fürchtete mich, ging hin, und verbarg dein Talent in der Erde; siehe, da hast du das deine.

Y tuve miedo, y fuí, y escondí tu talento en la tierra: he aquí tienes lo que es tuyo.

And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.’

Sein Herr aber antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Du schlechter und träger Knecht! Wußtest du, daß ich ernte, wo ich nicht gesät, und sammle, wo ich nicht ausgestreut habe?

Y respondiendo su señor, le dijo: Malo y negligente siervo, sabías que siego donde no sembré y que recojo donde no esparcí;

His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

“But his lord answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn’t sow, and gather where I didn’t scatter.

Du hättest denn sollen mein Silber bei den Wechslern einlegen; und bei meinem Kommen hätte ich das Meinige mit Zins zurückerhalten.

Por tanto te convenía dar mi dinero á los banqueros, y viniendo yo, hubiera recibido lo que es mío con usura.

Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest.

Nehmt denn von ihm das Talent und gebt es dem, der zehn Talente hat.

Quitadle pues el talento, y dadlo al que tiene diez talentos.

Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

Take away therefore the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents.

Denn jedem, der da hat, wird gegeben, und er wird Überfluß haben; von dem aber, der nicht hat, von dem wird auch genommen, was er hat.

Porque á cualquiera que tuviere, le será dado, y tendrá más; y al que no tuviere, aun lo que tiene le será quitado.

For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away.

Und den unnützen Knecht werfet hinaus in die äußerste Finsternis. Da wird sein Weinen und Zähneknirschen.

Y al siervo inútil echadle en las tinieblas de afuera: allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Throw out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Wenn aber des Menschen Sohn in Seiner Herrlichkeit kommen wird, und alle die heiligen Engel mit Ihm, dann wird Er sitzen auf dem Thron Seiner Herrlichkeit.

Y cuando el Hijo del hombre venga en su gloria, y todos los santos ángeles con él, entonces se sentará sobre el trono de su gloria.

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

Denn alle Völkerschaften werden vor Ihm versammelt werden, und Er wird sie voneinander ausscheiden, wie der Hirte die Schafe von den Böcken ausscheidet.

Y serán reunidas delante de él todas las gentes: y los apartará los unos de los otros, como aparta el pastor las ovejas de los cabritos.

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Und Er wird die Schafe zu Seiner Rechten, die Böcke aber zu Linken stellen.

Y pondrá las ovejas á su derecha, y los cabritos á la izquierda.

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Dann wird der König zu denen auf Seiner Rechten sprechen: Kommt her, ihr Gesegneten Meines Vaters! Ererbet das Reich, das euch bereitet ist von der Gründung der Welt an.

Entonces el Rey dirá á los que estarán á su derecha: Venid, benditos de mi Padre, heredad el reino preparado para vosotros desde la fundación del mundo:

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;

Denn Ich hungerte, und ihr gabt Mir zu essen. Ich dürstete, und ihr habt Mich getränkt. Ich war ein Fremdling, und ihr habt Mich aufgenommen.

Porque tuve hambre, y me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y me disteis de beber; fuí huésped, y me recogisteis;

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

for I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in.

Ich war nackt, und ihr habt Mich umkleidet, Ich war krank, und ihr besuchtet Mich. Ich bin im Gefängnis gewesen, und ihr seid zu Mir gekommen.

Desnudo, y me cubristeis; enfermo, y me visitasteis; estuve en la cárcel, y vinisteis á mí.

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.’

Dann werden Ihm die Gerechten antworten und sagen: Herr, wann sahen wir Dich hungrig und nährten Dich, oder durstig und tränkten Dich?

Entonces los justos le responderán, diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento, y te sustentamos? ¿ó sediento, y te dimos de beber?

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

“Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink?

Wann sahen wir Dich einen Fremdling und nahmen Dich auf? oder nackt und umkleideten Dich?

¿Y cuándo te vimos huésped, y te recogimos? ¿ó desnudo, y te cubrimos?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

When did we see you as a stranger and take you in, or naked and clothe you?

Wann sahen wir Dich krank oder im Gefängnis und sind zu Dir gekommen?

¿O cuándo te vimos enfermo, ó en la cárcel, y vinimos á ti?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

When did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?’

Und der König wird ihnen antworten und sprechen: Wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Was ihr an einem der kleinsten dieser Meiner Brüder getan, das habt ihr Mir getan.

Y respondiendo el Rey, les dirá: De cierto os digo que en cuanto lo hicisteis á uno de estos mis hermanos pequeñitos, á mí lo hicisteis.

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

“The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Dann wird Er zu denen auf der Linken sprechen: Geht hinweg von Mir, ihr Verfluchten, in das ewige Feuer, das bereitet ist dem Teufel und seinen Engeln.

Entonces dirá también á los que estarán á la izquierda: Apartaos de mí, malditos, al fuego eterno preparado para el diablo y para sus ángeles:

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;

Denn Ich war hungrig, und ihr gabt Mir nichts zu essen; Ich dürstete, und ihr tränktet Mich nicht;

Porque tuve hambre, y no me disteis de comer; tuve sed, y no me disteis de beber;

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;

Ich war ein Fremdling, und ihr habt Mich nicht aufgenommen, nackt, und ihr habt Mich nicht umkleidet; krank, und im Gefängnis, und ihr habt Mich nicht besucht.

Fuí huésped, y no me recogisteis; desnudo, y no me cubristeis; enfermo, y en la cárcel, y no me visitasteis.

I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

Dann werden auch sie antworten und sagen: Herr, wann sahen wir Dich hungrig oder durstig, oder fremd, oder nackt, oder krank oder im Gefängnis, und haben Dich nicht bedient?

Entonces también ellos le responderán, diciendo: Señor, ¿cuándo te vimos hambriento, ó sediento, ó huésped, ó desnudo, ó enfermo, ó en la cárcel, y no te servimos?

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

“Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’

Da wird Er ihnen antworten und sprechen: Wahrlich, Ich sage euch, was ihr dieser Kleinsten einem nicht getan, das habt ihr auch Mir nicht getan.

Entonces les responderá, diciendo: De cierto os digo que en cuanto no lo hicisteis á uno de estos pequeñitos, ni á mí lo hicisteis.

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

“Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you didn’t do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’

Und sie werden hingehen zur ewigen Strafe; die Gerechten aber in das ewige Leben.

E irán éstos al tormento eterno, y los justos á la vida eterna.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
