Mas Jesus permaneceu calado. Nisso, o sumo sacerdote disse a ele: “Eu ordeno no nome do Deus vivo que nos declare se você é o Cristo, o Filho de Deus”.

Mas Jesús callaba. Respondiendo el pontífice, le dijo: Te conjuro por el Dios viviente, que nos digas si eres tú el Cristo, Hijo de Dios.

But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

But Jesus stayed silent. The high priest answered him, “I adjure you by the living God that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.”
