Und es begab sich, da Jesus alle diese Reden vollendet hatte, sprach er zu seinen Jungern:

Y ACONTECIÓ que, como hubo acabado Jesús todas estas palabras, dijo á sus discípulos:

And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,

Ihrwisset, daü nach zwei Tagen Ostern wird, und des Menschen Sohn wird uberantwortet werden, daß er gekreuziget werde.

Sabéis que dentro de dos días se hace la pascua, y el Hijo del hombre es entregado para ser crucificado.

Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

“You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”

Da versammelten sich die Hohenpriester und Schriftgelehrten und die Altesten im Volk in dem Palast des Hohenpriesters, der da hieft Kaiphas,

Entonces los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas, y los ancianos del pueblo se juntaron al patio del pontífice, el cual se llamaba Caifás;

Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were gathered together in the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas.

und hielten Rat, wie sie Jesum mit List griffen und toteten.

Y tuvieron consejo para prender por engaño á Jesús, y matarle.

And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.

They took counsel together that they might take Jesus by deceit and kill him.

Sie sprachen aber: Ja nicht auf das Fest, auf daß nicht ein Aufruhr werde im Volk!

Y decían: No en el día de la fiesta, porque no se haga alboroto en el pueblo.

But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.

But they said, “Not during the feast, lest a riot occur among the people.”

Da nun Jesus war zu Bethanien im Hause Simons des Aussatzigen,

trat zu ihm ein Weib, das hatte ein Glas mit kostlichem Wasser und goft es auf sein Haupt, da er zu Tisch saft.

Vino á él una mujer, teniendo un vaso de alabastro de ungüento de gran precio, y lo derramó sobre la cabeza de él, estando sentado á la mesa.

There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.

Da das seine Junger sahen, wurden sie unwillig und sprachen: Wozu dient dieser Unrat?

Lo cual viendo sus discípulos, se enojaron, diciendo: ¿Por qué se pierde esto?

But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?

But when his disciples saw this, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste?

Dieses Wasser hatte mogen teuer verkauft und den Armen gegeben werden.

Porque esto se podía vender por gran precio, y darse á los pobres.

For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

Da das Jesus merkete, sprach erzu ihnen: Was bekummert ihr das Weib? Sie hat ein gut Werk an mirgetan.

Y entendiéndolo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Por qué dais pena á esta mujer? pues ha hecho conmigo buena obra.

When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.

However, knowing this, Jesus said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? She has done a good work for me.

Ihr habt allezeit Arme bei euch; mich aber habt ihr nicht allezeit.

Porque siempre tendréis pobres con vosotros, mas á mí no siempre me tendréis.

For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

For you always have the poor with you, but you don’t always have me.

Dafi sie dies Wasser hat auf meinen Leib gegossen, hat sie getan, daß man mich begraben wird.

Porque echando este ungüento sobre mi cuerpo, para sepultarme lo ha hecho.

For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.

For in pouring this ointment on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.

Wahrlich, ich sage euch, wo dies Evangelium geprediget wird in der ganzen Weit, da wird man auch sagen zu ihrem Gedachtnis, was sie getan hat.

De cierto os digo, que donde quiera que este evangelio fuere predicado en todo el mundo, también será dicho para memoria de ella, lo que ésta ha hecho.

Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of as a memorial of her.”

Da ging hin der Zwolfen einer, mit Namen Judas Ischariot, zu den Hohenpriestern

Entonces uno de los doce, que se llamaba Judas Iscariote, fué á los príncipes de los sacerdotes,

Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,

und sprach: Was wolltihr mirgeben? Ich will ihn euch verraten. Und sie boten ihm dreißig Silberlinge.

And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him to you?” So they weighed out for him thirty pieces of silver.

Und von dem an suchte er Gelegenheit, daß er ihn verriete.

Y desde entonces buscaba oportunidad para entregarle.

Aber am ersten Tage dersüßen Brote traten die Jünger zu Jesu und sprachen zu ihm: Wo willst du, daß wir dir bereiten, das Osterlamm zu essen?

Y el primer día de la fiesta de los panes sin levadura, vinieron los discípulos á Jesús, diciéndole: ¿Dónde quieres que aderecemos para ti para comer la pascua?

Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?

Now on the first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying to him, “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?”

Er sprach: Gehet hin in die Stadt zu einem und sprechet zu ihm: Der Meister laßt dir sagen: Meine Zeit ist hier; ich will bei dir die Ostern halten mit meinen Jungern.

Y él dijo: Id á la ciudad á cierto hombre, y decidle: El Maestro dice: Mi tiempo está cerca; en tu casa haré la pascua con mis discípulos.

And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.

He said, “Go into the city to a certain person, and tell him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.”’”

Und die Junger taten, wie ihnen Jesus befohlen hatte, und bereiteten das Osterlamm.

Y los discípulos hicieron como Jesús les mandó, y aderezaron la pascua.

And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

The disciples did as Jesus commanded them, and they prepared the Passover.

Und am Abend setzte er sich zu Tische mit den Zwolfen.

Y como fué la tarde del día, se sentó á la mesa con los doce.

Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.

Und da sie alien, sprach er: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, einer unter euch wird mich verraten.

Y comiendo ellos, dijo: De cierto os digo, que uno de vosotros me ha de entregar.

And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

As they were eating, he said, “Most certainly I tell you that one of you will betray me.”

Und sie wurden sehr betrubt und huben an, ein jeglicher unter ihnen, und sagten zu ihm: Herr, bin ich's?

Y entristecidos ellos en gran manera, comenzó cada uno de ellos á decirle: ¿Soy yo, Señor?

And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?

They were exceedingly sorrowful, and each began to ask him, “It isn’t me, is it, Lord?”

Er antwortete und sprach: Der mit der Hand mit mir in die Schüssel tauchet, der wird mich verraten.

Entonces él respondiendo, dijo: El que mete la mano conmigo en el plato, ése me ha de entregar.

And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.

He answered, “He who dipped his hand with me in the dish will betray me.

Des Menschen Sohn gehet zwardahin, wie von ihm geschrieben stehet; doch wehe dem Menschen, durch welchen des Menschen Sohn verraten wird! Es ware ihm besser, daß derselbige Mensch noch nie geboren ware.

A la verdad el Hijo del hombre va, como está escrito de él; mas ¡ay de aquel hombre por quien el Hijo del hombre es entregado! bueno le fuera al tal hombre no haber nacido.

The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

The Son of Man goes even as it is written of him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for that man if he had not been born.”

Da antwortete Judas, der ihn verriet, und sprach: Bin ich's, Rabbi? Er sprach zu ihm: Du sagst es.

Entonces respondiendo Judas, que le entregaba, dijo: ¿Soy yo, Maestro? Dícele: Tú lo has dicho.

Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

Judas, who betrayed him, answered, “It isn’t me, is it, Rabbi?” He said to him, “You said it.”

Da sie aber alien, nahm Jesus das Brot, dankete und brach's und gab's den Jungern und sprach: Nehmet, esset; das ist mein Leib.

Y comiendo ellos, tomó Jesús el pan, y bendijo, y lo partió, y dió á sus discípulos, y dijo: Tomad, comed: esto es mi cuerpo.

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

As they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks for it, and broke it. He gave to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”

Und er nahm den Kelch und dankete, gab ihnen den und sprach: Trinket alle daraus!

Y tomando el vaso, y hechas gracias, les dió, diciendo: Bebed de él todos;

And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

Das ist mein Blut des Neuen Testaments, welches vergossen wird fur viele zur Vergebung der Sunden.

Porque esto es mi sangre del nuevo pacto, la cual es derramada por muchos para remisión de los pecados.

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.

Ich sage euch: Ich werde von nun an nicht mehr von diesem Gewachs des Weinstocks trinken bis an den Tag, da ich's neu trinken werde mit euch in meines Vaters Reich.

Y os digo, que desde ahora no beberé más de este fruto de la vid, hasta aquel día, cuando lo tengo de beber nuevo con vosotros en el reino de mi Padre.

But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.

But I tell you that I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on, until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father’s Kingdom.”

Und, da sie den Lobgesang gesprochen hatten, gingen sie hinaus an den Olberg.

Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: In dieser Nacht werdet ihr euch alle argern an mir; denn es stehet geschrieben: Ich werde den Hirten schlagen, und die Schafe der Herde werden sich zerstreuen.

Entonces Jesús les dice: Todos vosotros seréis escandalizados en mí esta noche; porque escrito está: Heriré al Pastor, y las ovejas de la manada serán dispersas.

Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

Wenn ich aber auferstehe, will ich vor euch hingehen in Galilaa.

Mas después que haya resucitado, iré delante de vosotros á Galilea.

But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

But after I am raised up, I will go before you into Galilee.”

Petrus aber antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Wenn sie auch alle sich an dir argerten, so will ich doch mich nimmermehr argern.

Y respondiendo Pedro, le dijo: Aunque todos sean escandalizados en ti, yo nunca seré escandalizado.

Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.

But Peter answered him, “Even if all will be made to stumble because of you, I will never be made to stumble.”

Jesus sprach zu ihm: Wahrlich, ich sage dir, in dieser Nacht, ehe der Hahn krahet, wirst du mich dreimal verleugnen.

Jesús le dice: De cierto te digo que esta noche, antes que el gallo cante, me negarás tres veces.

Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

Jesus said to him, “Most certainly I tell you that tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”

Petrus sprach zu ihm: Und wenn ich mit dir sterben mußte, so will ich dich nicht verleugnen. Desgleichen sagten auch alle Jünger.

Dícele Pedro: Aunque me sea menester morir contigo, no te negaré. Y todos los discípulos dijeron lo mismo.

Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you.” All of the disciples also said likewise.

Da kam Jesus mit ihnen zu einem Hof, der hieli Gethsemane, und sprach zu seinen Jungern: Setzet euch hier, bis daß ich dorthin gehe und bete.

Entonces llegó Jesús con ellos á la aldea que se llama Gethsemaní, y dice á sus discípulos: Sentaos aquí, hasta que vaya allí y ore.

Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go there and pray.”

Und nahm zu sich Petrus und die zwei Sohne des Zebedaus und fing an zu trauern und zu zagen.

Y tomando á Pedro, y á los dos hijos de Zebedeo, comenzó á entristecerse y á angustiarse en gran manera.

And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Meine Seele ist betrubt bis an den Tod; bleibet hier und wachet mit mir!

Entonces Jesús les dice: Mi alma está muy triste hasta la muerte; quedaos aquí, y velad conmigo.

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

Then Jesus said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with me.”

Und ging hin ein wenig, fiel nieder auf sein Angesicht und betete und sprach: Mein Vater, ist's moglich, so gehe dieser Kelch von mir; doch nicht, wie ich will, sondern wie du willst.

Y yéndose un poco más adelante, se postró sobre su rostro, orando, y diciendo: Padre mío, si es posible, pase de mí este vaso; empero no como yo quiero, sino como tú.

And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.”

Und er kam zu seinen Jungern und fand sie schlafend und sprach zu Petrus: Konnet ihr denn nicht eine Stunde mit mirwachen?

Y vino á sus discípulos, y los halló durmiendo, y dijo á Pedro: ¿Así no habéis podido velar conmigo una hora?

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What, couldn’t you watch with me for one hour?

Wachet und betet, daß ihr nicht in Anfechtung fallet. Der Geist ist willig; aber das Fleisch ist schwach.

Velad y orad, para que no entréis en tentación: el espíritu á la verdad está presto, mas la carne enferma.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Zum andernmal ging erwieder hin, betete und sprach: Mein Vater, ist's nicht moglich, daß dieser Kelch von mir gehe, ich trinke ihn denn; so geschehe dein Wille.

Otra vez fué, segunda vez, y oró diciendo: Padre mío, si no puede este vaso pasar de mí sin que yo lo beba, hágase tu voluntad.

He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

Again, a second time he went away and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cup can’t pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done.”

Und er kam und fand sie abermal schlafend, und ihre Augen waren voll Schlafs.

Y vino, y los halló otra vez durmiendo; porque los ojos de ellos estaban agravados.

And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

He came again and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.

Und er ließ sie und ging abermal hin und betete zum drittenmal und redete dieselbigen Worte.

Y dejándolos fuése de nuevo, y oró tercera vez, diciendo las mismas palabras.

And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

Da kam erzu seinen Jungern und sprach zu ihnen: Ach, wollt ihr nun schlafen und ruhen? Siehe, die Stunde ist hier, daß des Menschen Sohn in der Sunder Hande uberantwortet wird.

Entonces vino á sus discípulos y díceles: Dormid ya, y descansad: he aquí ha llegado la hora, y el Hijo del hombre es entregado en manos de pecadores.

Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Then he came to his disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Stehet auf, laßt uns gehen! Siehe, er ist da, der mich verrat!

Levantaos, vamos: he aquí ha llegado el que me ha entregado.

Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

Arise, let’s be going. Behold, he who betrays me is at hand.”

Und als er noch redete, siehe, da kam Judas, der Zwolfen einer, und mit ihm eine große Schar mit Schwertern und mit Stangen von den Hohenpriestern und Altesten des Volks.

Y hablando aún él, he aquí Judas, uno de los doce, vino, y con él mucha gente con espadas y con palos, de parte de los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y de los ancianos del pueblo.

And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

While he was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

Und der Verrater hatte ihnen ein Zeichen gegeben und gesagt: Welchen ich küssen werde, der ist's; den greifet.

Y el que le entregaba les había dado señal, diciendo: Al que yo besare, aquél es: prendedle.

Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.

Now he who betrayed him had given them a sign, saying, “Whoever I kiss, he is the one. Seize him.”

Und alsbald trat er zu Jesu und sprach: Gegrußet seiest du, Rabbi! und kussete ihn.

Y luego que llegó á Jesús, dijo: Salve, Maestro. Y le besó.

And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.

Immediately he came to Jesus, and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed him.

Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Mein Freund, warum bist du kommen? Da traten sie hinzu und legten die Hande an Jesum und griffen ihn.

Y Jesús le dijo: Amigo, ¿á qué vienes? Entonces llegaron, y echaron mano á Jesús, y le prendieron.

And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

Jesus said to him, “Friend, why are you here?” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

Und siehe, einer aus denen, die mit Jesu waren, reckte die Hand aus und zog sein Schwert aus und schlug des Hohenpriesters Knecht und hieb ihm ein Ohrab.

Y he aquí, uno de los que estaban con Jesús, extendiendo la mano, sacó su espada, é hiriendo á un siervo del pontífice, le quitó la oreja.

And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest’s, and smote off his ear.

Behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

Da sprach Jesus zu ihm: Stecke dein Schwert an seinen Ort; denn wer das Schwert nimmt, der soil durchs Schwert umkommen.

Entonces Jesús le dice: Vuelve tu espada á su lugar; porque todos los que tomaren espada, á espada perecerán.

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place, for all those who take the sword will die by the sword.

Oder meinest du, daß ich nicht konnte meinen Vater bitten, daß er mir zuschickte mehr denn zwolf Legionen Engel?

¿Acaso piensas que no puedo ahora orar á mi Padre, y él me daría más de doce legiones de ángeles?

Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

Or do you think that I couldn’t ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?

Wie würde aber die Schrift erfullet? Es mull also gehen.

¿Cómo, pues, se cumplirían las Escrituras, que así conviene que sea hecho?

But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that it must be so?”

Zu der Stunde sprach Jesus zu den Scharen: Ihr seid ausgegangen als zu einem Morder mit Schwertern und mit Stangen, mich zu fahen; bin ich doch taglich gesessen bei euch und habe gelehret im Tempel, und ihr habt mich nicht gegriffen.

En aquella hora dijo Jesús á las gentes: ¿Como á ladrón habéis salido con espadas y con palos á prenderme? Cada día me sentaba con vosotros enseñando en el templo, y no me prendisteis.

In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.

In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes, “Have you come out as against a robber with swords and clubs to seize me? I sat daily in the temple teaching, and you didn’t arrest me.

Aber das ist alles geschehen, daß erfullet würden die Schriften der Propheten. Da verlielien ihn alle Junger und flohen.

Mas todo esto se hace, para que se cumplan las Escrituras de los profetas. Entonces todos los discípulos huyeron, dejándole.

But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

But all this has happened that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.

Die aber Jesum gegriffen hatten, fuhreten ihn zu dem Hohenpriester Kaiphas, dahin die Schriftgelehrten und Altesten sich versammelt hatten.

Y ellos, prendido Jesús, le llevaron á Caifás pontífice, donde los escribas y los ancianos estaban juntos.

And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

Those who had taken Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together.

Petrus aber folgte ihm nach von feme bis in den Palast des Hohenpriesters und ging hinein und setzte sich zu den Knechten, auf daß er sahe, wo es hinaus wollte.

Mas Pedro le seguía de lejos hasta el patio del pontífice; y entrando dentro, estábase sentado con los criados, para ver el fin.

But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest’s palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

But Peter followed him from a distance to the court of the high priest, and entered in and sat with the officers, to see the end.

Die Hohenpriester aber und Altesten und der ganze Rat suchten falsch Zeugnis wider Jesum, auf daß sie ihn toteten,

Y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los ancianos, y todo el consejo, buscaban falso testimonio contra Jesús, para entregarle á la muerte;

Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;

Now the chief priests, the elders, and the whole council sought false testimony against Jesus, that they might put him to death,

und fanden keins. Und wiewohl viel falsche Zeugen herzutraten, fanden sie doch keins. Zuletzt traten herzu zwei falsche Zeugen

Y no lo hallaron, aunque muchos testigos falsos se llegaban; mas á la postre vinieron dos testigos falsos,

But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,

and they found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward

und sprachen: Er hat gesagt: Ich kann den Tempel Gottes abbrechen und in dreien Tagen denselben bauen.

Que dijeron: Este dijo: Puedo derribar el templo de Dios, y en tres días reedificarlo.

And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.’”

Und der Hohepriester stund auf und sprach zu ihm: Antwortest du nichts zu dem, was diese wider dich zeugen?

Y levantándose el pontífice, le dijo: ¿No respondes nada? ¿qué testifican éstos contra ti?

And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

The high priest stood up and said to him, “Have you no answer? What is this that these testify against you?”

Aber Jesus schwieg stille. Und der Hohepriester antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Ich beschwore dich bei dem lebendigen Gott, daß du uns sagest, ob du seiest Christus, der Sohn Gottes.

Mas Jesús callaba. Respondiendo el pontífice, le dijo: Te conjuro por el Dios viviente, que nos digas si eres tú el Cristo, Hijo de Dios.

But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

But Jesus stayed silent. The high priest answered him, “I adjure you by the living God that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.”

Jesus sprach zu ihm: Du sagst es. Doch sage ich euch: Von nun an wird's geschehen, daß ihr sehen werdet des Menschen Sohn sitzen zur Rechten der Kraft und kommen in den Wolken des Himmels.

Jesús le dijo: Tú lo has dicho: y aun os digo, que desde ahora habéis de ver al Hijo del hombre sentado á la diestra de la potencia de Dios, y que viene en las nubes del cielo.

Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Jesus said to him, “You have said so. Nevertheless, I tell you, after this you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of the sky.”

Da zerrili der Hohepriester seine Kleider und sprach: Er hat Gott gelastert; was bedurfen wirweiter Zeugnis? Siehe, jetzt habt ihr seine Gotteslasterung gehort.

Entonces el pontífice rasgó sus vestidos, diciendo: Blasfemado ha: ¿qué más necesidad tenemos de testigos? He aquí, ahora habéis oído su blasfemia.

Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

Then the high priest tore his clothing, saying, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Behold, now you have heard his blasphemy.

Was dünkt euch? Sie antworteten und sprachen: Er ist des Todes schuldig.

¿Qué os parece? Y respondiendo ellos, dijeron: Culpado es de muerte.

What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

What do you think?” They answered, “He is worthy of death!”

Da speieten sie aus in sein Angesicht und schlugen ihn mit Fausten. Etliche aber schlugen ihn ins Angesicht

Entonces le escupieron en el rostro, y le dieron de bofetadas; y otros le herían con mojicones,

Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,

Then they spat in his face and beat him with their fists, and some slapped him,

und sprachen: Weissage uns, Christe, wer ist's, der dich schlug?

Diciendo: Profetízanos tú, Cristo, quién es el que te ha herido.

Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

saying, “Prophesy to us, you Christ! Who hit you?”

Petrus aber sali draulien im Palast. Und es trat zu ihm eine Magd und sprach: Und du warest auch mit dem Jesu aus Galilaa.

Y Pedro estaba sentado fuera en el patio: y se llegó á él una criada, diciendo: Y tú con Jesús el Galileo estabas.

Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.

Now Peter was sitting outside in the court, and a maid came to him, saying, “You were also with Jesus, the Galilean!”

Er leugnete aber vor ihnen alien und sprach: Ich weili nicht, was du sagest.

Mas él negó delante de todos, diciendo: No sé lo que dices.

But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.

But he denied it before them all, saying, “I don’t know what you are talking about.”

Als er aber zur Tür hinausging, sah ihn eine andere und sprach zu denen, die da waren: Dieser war auch mit dem Jesu von Nazareth.

Y saliendo él á la puerta, le vió otra, y dijo á los que estaban allí: También éste estaba con Jesús Nazareno.

And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.

When he had gone out onto the porch, someone else saw him and said to those who were there, “This man also was with Jesus of Nazareth.”

Und er leugnete abermal und schwur dazu: Ich kenne den Menschen nicht.

Y negó otra vez con juramento: No conozco al hombre.

And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.

Again he denied it with an oath, “I don’t know the man.”

Und fiber eine kleine Weile traten hinzu, die da stunden, und sprachen zu Petrus: Wahrlich, du bist auch einer von denen; denn deine Sprache verrat dich.

Y un poco después llegaron los que estaban por allí, y dijeron á Pedro: Verdaderamente también tú eres de ellos, porque aun tu habla te hace manifiesto.

And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.

After a little while those who stood by came and said to Peter, “Surely you are also one of them, for your speech makes you known.”

Da hub er an sich zu verfluchen und zu schworen: Ich kenne den Menschen nicht. Und alsbald krahete der Hahn.

Entonces comenzó á hacer imprecaciones, y á jurar, diciendo: No conozco al hombre. Y el gallo cantó luego.

Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

Then he began to curse and to swear, “I don’t know the man!” Immediately the rooster crowed.

Da dachte Petrus an die Worte Jesu, da er zu ihm sagte: Ehe der Hahn krahen wird, wirst du mich dreimal verleugnen. Und ging hinaus und weinte bitterlich.

Y se acordó Pedro de las palabras de Jesús, que le dijo: Antes que cante el gallo, me negarás tres veces. Y saliéndose fuera, lloró amargamente.

And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” Then he went out and wept bitterly.
