Da das seine Jünger sahen, wurden sie unwillig und sprachen: Wozu dient dieser Unrat?

Sabéis que dentro de dos días se hace la pascua, y el Hijo del hombre es entregado para ser crucificado.

Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

“You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”

Dieses Wasser hätte mögen teuer verkauft und den Armen gegeben werden.

Entonces los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas, y los ancianos del pueblo se juntaron al patio del pontífice, el cual se llamaba Caifás;

Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

Da das Jesus merkete, sprach er zu ihnen: Was bekümmert ihr das Weib? Sie hat ein gut Werk an mir getan.

Y tuvieron consejo para prender por engaño á Jesús, y matarle.

And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.

Ihr habt allezeit Arme bei euch; mich aber habt ihr nicht allezeit.

Y decían: No en el día de la fiesta, porque no se haga alboroto en el pueblo.

Daß sie dies Wasser hat auf meinen Leib gegossen, hat sie getan, daß man mich begraben wird.

Y estando Jesús en Bethania, en casa de Simón el leproso,

Vino á él una mujer, teniendo un vaso de alabastro de ungüento de gran precio, y lo derramó sobre la cabeza de él, estando sentado á la mesa.

There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.

Da ging hin der Zwölfen einer, mit Namen Judas Ischariot, zu den Hohenpriestern

Lo cual viendo sus discípulos, se enojaron, diciendo: ¿Por qué se pierde esto?

But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?

und sprach: Was wollt ihr mir geben? Ich will ihn euch verraten. Und sie boten ihm dreißig Silberlinge.

Porque esto se podía vender por gran precio, y darse á los pobres.

Und von dem an suchte er Gelegenheit, daß er ihn verriete.

Y entendiéndolo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Por qué dais pena á esta mujer? pues ha hecho conmigo buena obra.

When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.

However, knowing this, Jesus said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? She has done a good work for me.

Aber am ersten Tage der süßen Brote traten die Jünger zu Jesu und sprachen zu ihm: Wo willst du, daß wir dir bereiten, das Osterlamm zu essen?

Porque siempre tendréis pobres con vosotros, mas á mí no siempre me tendréis.

For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

For you always have the poor with you, but you don’t always have me.

Er sprach: Gehet hin in die Stadt zu einem und sprechet zu ihm: Der Meister läßt dir sagen: Meine Zeit ist hier; ich will bei dir die Ostern halten mit meinen Jüngern.

Porque echando este ungüento sobre mi cuerpo, para sepultarme lo ha hecho.

For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.

Und die Jünger taten, wie ihnen Jesus befohlen hatte, und bereiteten das Osterlamm.

De cierto os digo, que donde quiera que este evangelio fuere predicado en todo el mundo, también será dicho para memoria de ella, lo que ésta ha hecho.

Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of as a memorial of her.”

Und am Abend setzte er sich zu Tische mit den Zwölfen.

Entonces uno de los doce, que se llamaba Judas Iscariote, fué á los príncipes de los sacerdotes,

Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,

Und da sie aßen, sprach er: Wahrlich, ich sage euch, einer unter euch wird mich verraten.

And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him to you?” So they weighed out for him thirty pieces of silver.

Und sie wurden sehr betrübt und huben an, ein jeglicher unter ihnen, und sagten zu ihm: HERR, bin ich's?

Y desde entonces buscaba oportunidad para entregarle.

Er antwortete und sprach: Der mit der Hand mit mir in die Schüssel tauchet, der wird mich verraten.

Y el primer día de la fiesta de los panes sin levadura, vinieron los discípulos á Jesús, diciéndole: ¿Dónde quieres que aderecemos para ti para comer la pascua?

Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?

Now on the first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying to him, “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?”

Des Menschen Sohn gehet zwar dahin, wie von ihm geschrieben stehet; doch wehe dem Menschen, durch welchen des Menschen Sohn verraten wird! Es wäre ihm besser, daß derselbige Mensch noch nie geboren wäre.

Y él dijo: Id á la ciudad á cierto hombre, y decidle: El Maestro dice: Mi tiempo está cerca; en tu casa haré la pascua con mis discípulos.

And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.

He said, “Go into the city to a certain person, and tell him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.”’”

Da antwortete Judas, der ihn verriet, und sprach: Bin ich's, Rabbi? Er sprach zu ihm: Du sagst es.

Y los discípulos hicieron como Jesús les mandó, y aderezaron la pascua.

And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

The disciples did as Jesus commanded them, and they prepared the Passover.

Da sie aber aßen, nahm Jesus das Brot, dankete und brach's und gab's den Jüngern und sprach: Nehmet, esset; das ist mein Leib.

Y como fué la tarde del día, se sentó á la mesa con los doce.

Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.

Now when evening had come, he was reclining at the table with the twelve disciples.

Und er nahm den Kelch und dankete, gab ihnen den und sprach: Trinket alle daraus!

Y comiendo ellos, dijo: De cierto os digo, que uno de vosotros me ha de entregar.

And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

As they were eating, he said, “Most certainly I tell you that one of you will betray me.”

Das ist mein Blut des Neuen Testaments, welches vergossen wird für viele zur Vergebung der Sünden.

Y entristecidos ellos en gran manera, comenzó cada uno de ellos á decirle: ¿Soy yo, Señor?

And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?

They were exceedingly sorrowful, and each began to ask him, “It isn’t me, is it, Lord?”

Ich sage euch: Ich werde von nun an nicht mehr von diesem Gewächs des Weinstocks trinken bis an den Tag, da ich's neu trinken werde mit euch in meines Vaters Reich.

Entonces él respondiendo, dijo: El que mete la mano conmigo en el plato, ése me ha de entregar.

And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.

He answered, “He who dipped his hand with me in the dish will betray me.

Und, da sie den Lobgesang gesprochen hatten, gingen sie hinaus an den Ölberg.

A la verdad el Hijo del hombre va, como está escrito de él; mas ¡ay de aquel hombre por quien el Hijo del hombre es entregado! bueno le fuera al tal hombre no haber nacido.

The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

The Son of Man goes even as it is written of him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for that man if he had not been born.”

Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: In dieser Nacht werdet ihr euch alle ärgern an mir; denn es stehet geschrieben: Ich werde den Hirten schlagen, und die Schafe der Herde werden sich zerstreuen.

Entonces respondiendo Judas, que le entregaba, dijo: ¿Soy yo, Maestro? Dícele: Tú lo has dicho.

Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

Judas, who betrayed him, answered, “It isn’t me, is it, Rabbi?” He said to him, “You said it.”

Wenn ich aber auferstehe, will ich vor euch hingehen in Galiläa.

Y comiendo ellos, tomó Jesús el pan, y bendijo, y lo partió, y dió á sus discípulos, y dijo: Tomad, comed: esto es mi cuerpo.

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

As they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks for it, and broke it. He gave to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”

Petrus aber antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Wenn sie auch alle sich an dir ärgerten, so will ich doch mich nimmermehr ärgern.

Y tomando el vaso, y hechas gracias, les dió, diciendo: Bebed de él todos;

And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

Jesus sprach zu ihm: Wahrlich, ich sage dir, in dieser Nacht, ehe der Hahn krähet, wirst du mich dreimal verleugnen.

Porque esto es mi sangre del nuevo pacto, la cual es derramada por muchos para remisión de los pecados.

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.

Petrus sprach zu ihm: Und wenn ich mit dir sterben müßte, so will ich dich nicht verleugnen. Desgleichen sagten auch alle Jünger.

Y os digo, que desde ahora no beberé más de este fruto de la vid, hasta aquel día, cuando lo tengo de beber nuevo con vosotros en el reino de mi Padre.

But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.

But I tell you that I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on, until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father’s Kingdom.”

Da kam Jesus mit ihnen zu einem Hof, der hieß Gethsemane, und sprach zu seinen Jüngern: Setzet euch hier, bis daß ich dorthin gehe und bete.

Y habiendo cantado el himno, salieron al monte de las Olivas.

And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

Und nahm zu sich Petrus und die zwei Söhne des Zebedäus und fing an zu trauern und zu zagen.

Entonces Jesús les dice: Todos vosotros seréis escandalizados en mí esta noche; porque escrito está: Heriré al Pastor, y las ovejas de la manada serán dispersas.

Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Meine Seele ist betrübt bis an den Tod; bleibet hier und wachet mit mir!

Mas después que haya resucitado, iré delante de vosotros á Galilea.

But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

But after I am raised up, I will go before you into Galilee.”

Und ging hin ein wenig, fiel nieder auf sein Angesicht und betete und sprach: Mein Vater, ist's möglich, so gehe dieser Kelch von mir; doch nicht, wie ich will, sondern wie du willst.

Y respondiendo Pedro, le dijo: Aunque todos sean escandalizados en ti, yo nunca seré escandalizado.

Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.

But Peter answered him, “Even if all will be made to stumble because of you, I will never be made to stumble.”

Und er kam zu seinen Jüngern und fand sie schlafend und sprach zu Petrus: Könnet ihr denn nicht eine Stunde mit mir wachen?

Jesús le dice: De cierto te digo que esta noche, antes que el gallo cante, me negarás tres veces.

Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

Jesus said to him, “Most certainly I tell you that tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”

Wachet und betet, daß ihr nicht in Anfechtung fallet. Der Geist ist willig; aber das Fleisch ist schwach.

Dícele Pedro: Aunque me sea menester morir contigo, no te negaré. Y todos los discípulos dijeron lo mismo.

Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you.” All of the disciples also said likewise.

Zum andernmal ging er wieder hin, betete und sprach: Mein Vater, ist's nicht möglich, daß dieser Kelch von mir gehe, ich trinke ihn denn; so geschehe dein Wille.

Entonces llegó Jesús con ellos á la aldea que se llama Gethsemaní, y dice á sus discípulos: Sentaos aquí, hasta que vaya allí y ore.

Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go there and pray.”

Und er kam und fand sie abermal schlafend, und ihre Augen waren voll Schlafs.

Y tomando á Pedro, y á los dos hijos de Zebedeo, comenzó á entristecerse y á angustiarse en gran manera.

And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

Und er ließ sie und ging abermal hin und betete zum drittenmal und redete dieselbigen Worte.

Entonces Jesús les dice: Mi alma está muy triste hasta la muerte; quedaos aquí, y velad conmigo.

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

Then Jesus said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with me.”

Da kam er zu seinen Jüngern und sprach zu ihnen: Ach, wollt ihr nun schlafen und ruhen? Siehe, die Stunde ist hier, daß des Menschen Sohn in der Sünder Hände überantwortet wird.

Y yéndose un poco más adelante, se postró sobre su rostro, orando, y diciendo: Padre mío, si es posible, pase de mí este vaso; empero no como yo quiero, sino como tú.

And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.”

Stehet auf, laßt uns gehen! Siehe, er ist da, der mich verrät!

Y vino á sus discípulos, y los halló durmiendo, y dijo á Pedro: ¿Así no habéis podido velar conmigo una hora?

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What, couldn’t you watch with me for one hour?

Und als er noch redete, siehe, da kam Judas, der Zwölfen einer, und mit ihm eine große Schar mit Schwertern und mit Stangen von den Hohenpriestern und Ältesten des Volks.

Velad y orad, para que no entréis en tentación: el espíritu á la verdad está presto, mas la carne enferma.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Und der Verräter hatte ihnen ein Zeichen gegeben und gesagt: Welchen ich küssen werde, der ist's; den greifet.

Otra vez fué, segunda vez, y oró diciendo: Padre mío, si no puede este vaso pasar de mí sin que yo lo beba, hágase tu voluntad.

He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

Again, a second time he went away and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cup can’t pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done.”

Und alsbald trat er zu Jesu und sprach: Gegrüßet seiest du, Rabbi! und küssete ihn.

Y vino, y los halló otra vez durmiendo; porque los ojos de ellos estaban agravados.

And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Mein Freund, warum bist du kommen? Da traten sie hinzu und legten die Hände an Jesum und griffen ihn.

Und siehe, einer aus denen, die mit Jesu waren, reckte die Hand aus und zog sein Schwert aus und schlug des Hohenpriesters Knecht und hieb ihm ein Ohr ab.

Entonces vino á sus discípulos y díceles: Dormid ya, y descansad: he aquí ha llegado la hora, y el Hijo del hombre es entregado en manos de pecadores.

Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Then he came to his disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Da sprach Jesus zu ihm: Stecke dein Schwert an seinen Ort; denn wer das Schwert nimmt, der soll durchs Schwert umkommen.

Levantaos, vamos: he aquí ha llegado el que me ha entregado.

Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

Arise, let’s be going. Behold, he who betrays me is at hand.”

Oder meinest du, daß ich nicht könnte meinen Vater bitten, daß er mir zuschickte mehr denn zwölf Legionen Engel?

Y hablando aún él, he aquí Judas, uno de los doce, vino, y con él mucha gente con espadas y con palos, de parte de los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y de los ancianos del pueblo.

And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

Wie würde aber die Schrift erfüllet? Es muß also gehen.

Y el que le entregaba les había dado señal, diciendo: Al que yo besare, aquél es: prendedle.

Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.

Zu der Stunde sprach Jesus zu den Scharen: Ihr seid ausgegangen als zu einem Mörder mit Schwertern und mit Stangen, mich zu fahen; bin ich doch täglich gesessen bei euch und habe gelehret im Tempel, und ihr habt mich nicht gegriffen.

Y luego que llegó á Jesús, dijo: Salve, Maestro. Y le besó.

And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.

Immediately he came to Jesus, and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed him.

Aber das ist alles geschehen, daß erfüllet würden die Schriften der Propheten. Da verließen ihn alle Jünger und flohen.

Y Jesús le dijo: Amigo, ¿á qué vienes? Entonces llegaron, y echaron mano á Jesús, y le prendieron.

And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

Die aber Jesum gegriffen hatten, führeten ihn zu dem Hohenpriester Kaiphas, dahin die Schriftgelehrten und Ältesten sich versammelt hatten.

Y he aquí, uno de los que estaban con Jesús, extendiendo la mano, sacó su espada, é hiriendo á un siervo del pontífice, le quitó la oreja.

And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest’s, and smote off his ear.

Behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

Petrus aber folgte ihm nach von ferne bis in den Palast des Hohenpriesters und ging hinein und setzte sich zu den Knechten, auf daß er sähe, wo es hinaus wollte.

Entonces Jesús le dice: Vuelve tu espada á su lugar; porque todos los que tomaren espada, á espada perecerán.

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place, for all those who take the sword will die by the sword.

Die Hohenpriester aber und Ältesten und der ganze Rat suchten falsch Zeugnis wider Jesum, auf daß sie ihn töteten,

¿Acaso piensas que no puedo ahora orar á mi Padre, y él me daría más de doce legiones de ángeles?

Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

Or do you think that I couldn’t ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?

und fanden keins. Und wiewohl viel falsche Zeugen herzutraten, fanden sie doch keins. Zuletzt traten herzu zwei falsche Zeugen

¿Cómo, pues, se cumplirían las Escrituras, que así conviene que sea hecho?

But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that it must be so?”

und sprachen: Er hat gesagt: Ich kann den Tempel Gottes abbrechen und in dreien Tagen denselben bauen.

En aquella hora dijo Jesús á las gentes: ¿Como á ladrón habéis salido con espadas y con palos á prenderme? Cada día me sentaba con vosotros enseñando en el templo, y no me prendisteis.

In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.

In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes, “Have you come out as against a robber with swords and clubs to seize me? I sat daily in the temple teaching, and you didn’t arrest me.

Und der Hohepriester stund auf und sprach zu ihm: Antwortest du nichts zu dem, was diese wider dich zeugen?

Mas todo esto se hace, para que se cumplan las Escrituras de los profetas. Entonces todos los discípulos huyeron, dejándole.

But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

Aber Jesus schwieg stille. Und der Hohepriester antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Ich beschwöre dich bei dem lebendigen Gott, daß du uns sagest, ob du seiest Christus, der Sohn Gottes.

Y ellos, prendido Jesús, le llevaron á Caifás pontífice, donde los escribas y los ancianos estaban juntos.

And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

Jesus sprach zu ihm: Du sagst es. Doch sage ich euch: Von nun an wird's geschehen, daß ihr sehen werdet des Menschen Sohn sitzen zur Rechten der Kraft und kommen in den Wolken des Himmels.

Mas Pedro le seguía de lejos hasta el patio del pontífice; y entrando dentro, estábase sentado con los criados, para ver el fin.

But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest’s palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

But Peter followed him from a distance to the court of the high priest, and entered in and sat with the officers, to see the end.

Da zerriß der Hohepriester seine Kleider und sprach: Er hat Gott gelästert; was bedürfen wir weiter Zeugnis? Siehe, jetzt habt ihr seine Gotteslästerung gehört.

Y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los ancianos, y todo el consejo, buscaban falso testimonio contra Jesús, para entregarle á la muerte;

Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;

Was dünkt euch? Sie antworteten und sprachen: Er ist des Todes schuldig.

Y no lo hallaron, aunque muchos testigos falsos se llegaban; mas á la postre vinieron dos testigos falsos,

But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,

and they found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward

Da speieten sie aus in sein Angesicht und schlugen ihn mit Fäusten. Etliche aber schlugen ihn ins Angesicht

Que dijeron: Este dijo: Puedo derribar el templo de Dios, y en tres días reedificarlo.

And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.’”

und sprachen: Weissage uns, Christe, wer ist's, der dich schlug?

Y levantándose el pontífice, le dijo: ¿No respondes nada? ¿qué testifican éstos contra ti?

And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

The high priest stood up and said to him, “Have you no answer? What is this that these testify against you?”

Petrus aber saß draußen im Palast. Und es trat zu ihm eine Magd und sprach: Und du warest auch mit dem Jesu aus Galiläa.

Mas Jesús callaba. Respondiendo el pontífice, le dijo: Te conjuro por el Dios viviente, que nos digas si eres tú el Cristo, Hijo de Dios.

But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

But Jesus stayed silent. The high priest answered him, “I adjure you by the living God that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.”

Er leugnete aber vor ihnen allen und sprach: Ich weiß nicht, was du sagest.

Jesús le dijo: Tú lo has dicho: y aun os digo, que desde ahora habéis de ver al Hijo del hombre sentado á la diestra de la potencia de Dios, y que viene en las nubes del cielo.

Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Jesus said to him, “You have said so. Nevertheless, I tell you, after this you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of the sky.”

Als er aber zur Tür hinausging, sah ihn eine andere und sprach zu denen, die da waren: Dieser war auch mit dem Jesu von Nazareth.

Entonces el pontífice rasgó sus vestidos, diciendo: Blasfemado ha: ¿qué más necesidad tenemos de testigos? He aquí, ahora habéis oído su blasfemia.

Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

Then the high priest tore his clothing, saying, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Behold, now you have heard his blasphemy.

Und er leugnete abermal und schwur dazu: Ich kenne den Menschen nicht.

¿Qué os parece? Y respondiendo ellos, dijeron: Culpado es de muerte.

What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

What do you think?” They answered, “He is worthy of death!”

Und über eine kleine Weile traten hinzu, die da stunden, und sprachen zu Petrus: Wahrlich, du bist auch einer von denen; denn deine Sprache verrät dich.

Entonces le escupieron en el rostro, y le dieron de bofetadas; y otros le herían con mojicones,

Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,

Then they spat in his face and beat him with their fists, and some slapped him,

Da hub er an sich zu verfluchen und zu schwören: Ich kenne den Menschen nicht. Und alsbald krähete der Hahn.

Diciendo: Profetízanos tú, Cristo, quién es el que te ha herido.

Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

saying, “Prophesy to us, you Christ! Who hit you?”

Da dachte Petrus an die Worte Jesu, da er zu ihm sagte: Ehe der Hahn krähen wird, wirst du mich dreimal verleugnen. Und ging hinaus und weinte bitterlich.

Y Pedro estaba sentado fuera en el patio: y se llegó á él una criada, diciendo: Y tú con Jesús el Galileo estabas.

Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.

Now Peter was sitting outside in the court, and a maid came to him, saying, “You were also with Jesus, the Galilean!”

Des Morgens aber hielten alle Hohenpriester und die Ältesten des Volks einen Rat über Jesum, daß sie ihn töteten.

Mas él negó delante de todos, diciendo: No sé lo que dices.

But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.

But he denied it before them all, saying, “I don’t know what you are talking about.”

Und banden ihn, führeten ihn hin und überantworteten ihn dem Landpfleger Pontius Pilatus.

Y saliendo él á la puerta, le vió otra, y dijo á los que estaban allí: También éste estaba con Jesús Nazareno.

And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.

When he had gone out onto the porch, someone else saw him and said to those who were there, “This man also was with Jesus of Nazareth.”

Da das sah Judas, der ihn verraten hatte, daß er verdammt war zum Tode, gereuete es ihn und brachte herwieder die dreißig Silberlinge den Hohenpriestern und den Ältesten

Y negó otra vez con juramento: No conozco al hombre.

And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.

Again he denied it with an oath, “I don’t know the man.”

und sprach: Ich habe übel getan, daß ich unschuldig Blut verraten habe.

Y un poco después llegaron los que estaban por allí, y dijeron á Pedro: Verdaderamente también tú eres de ellos, porque aun tu habla te hace manifiesto.

And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.

After a little while those who stood by came and said to Peter, “Surely you are also one of them, for your speech makes you known.”

Sie sprachen: Was gehet uns das an? Da siehe du zu! Und er warf die Silberlinge in den Tempel, hub sich davon, ging hin und erhängte sich selbst.

Entonces comenzó á hacer imprecaciones, y á jurar, diciendo: No conozco al hombre. Y el gallo cantó luego.

Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

Then he began to curse and to swear, “I don’t know the man!” Immediately the rooster crowed.

Aber die Hohenpriester nahmen die Silberlinge und sprachen: Es taugt nicht, daß wir sie in den Gotteskasten legen; denn es ist Blutgeld.

Y se acordó Pedro de las palabras de Jesús, que le dijo: Antes que cante el gallo, me negarás tres veces. Y saliéndose fuera, lloró amargamente.

And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” Then he went out and wept bitterly.
