Dès le matin, tous les Princes des prêtres et les Anciens du peuple tinrent conseil contre Jésus pour le faire mourir.

Y VENIDA la mañana, entraron en consejo todos los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los ancianos del pueblo, contra Jesús, para entregarle á muerte.

When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

Alors Judas, qui l'avait livré, voyant qu'il était condamné, fut touché de repentir, et rapporta les trente pièces d'argent aux Princes des prêtres et aux Anciens,

Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

Alors, ayant jeté les pièces d'argent dans le Sanctuaire, il se retira et alla se pendre.

And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Mais les Princes des prêtres ramassèrent l'argent et dirent : " Il n'est pas permis de le mettre dans le trésor sacré, puisque c'est le prix du sang. "

Y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, tomando las piezas de plata, dijeron: No es lícito echarlas en el tesoro de los dones, porque es precio de sangre.

And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

Et, après s'être consultés entre eux, ils achetèrent avec cet argent le champ du Potier pour la sépulture des étrangers.

And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in.

C'est pourquoi ce champ est encore aujourd'hui appelé Champ du sang.

Alors fut accomplie la parole du prophète Jérémie : " Ils ont reçu trente pièces d'argent, prix de celui dont les enfants d'Israël ont estimé la valeur ;

Mais il ne répondait rien aux accusations des Princes des prêtres et des Anciens.

Y siendo acusado por los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y por los ancianos, nada respondió.

And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

Alors Pilate lui dit : " N'entends-tu pas de combien de choses ils t'accusent ? "

Pilato entonces le dice: ¿No oyes cuántas cosas testifican contra ti?

Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

Then Pilate said to him, “Don’t you hear how many things they testify against you?”

Mais il ne lui répondit sur aucun grief, de sorte que le gouverneur était dans un grand étonnement.

Or ils avaient alors un prisonnier fameux, nommé Barabbas.

Pilate, ayant fait assembler le peuple, lui dit : " Lequel voulez-vous que je vous délivre, Barabbas ou Jésus qu'on appelle Christ ? "

Y juntos ellos, les dijo Pilato: ¿Cuál queréis que os suelte? ¿á Barrabás, ó á Jesús que se dice el Cristo?

Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

Car il savait que c'était par envie qu'ils avaient livré Jésus.

Porque sabía que por envidia le habían entregado.

Pendant qu'il siégeait sur son tribunal, sa femme lui envoya dire : " Qu'il n'y ait rien entre toi et ce juste ; car j'ai été aujourd'hui fort tourmentée en songe à cause de lui. "

Y estando él sentado en el tribunal, su mujer envió á él, diciendo: No tengas que ver con aquel justo; porque hoy he padecido muchas cosas en sueños por causa de él.

When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, “Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of him.”

Mais les Princes des prêtres et les Anciens persuadèrent au peuple de demander Barabbas, et de faire périr Jésus.

Mas los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los ancianos, persuadieron al pueblo que pidiese á Barrabás, y á Jesús matase.

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes to ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus.

Le gouverneur, prenant la parole, leur dit : " Lequel des deux voulez-vous que je vous délivre ? " Ils répondirent : " Barabbas. "

Y respondiendo el presidente les dijo: ¿Cuál de los dos queréis que os suelte? Y ellos dijeron: A Barrabás.

The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

But the governor answered them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” They said, “Barabbas!”

Pilate leur dit : " Que ferai-je donc de Jésus, appelé Christ ? "

Pilato les dijo: ¿Qué pues haré de Jesús que se dice el Cristo? Dícenle todos: Sea crucificado.

Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

Ils lui répondirent : " Qu'il soit crucifié ! " Le gouverneur leur dit : " Quel mal a-t-il donc fait ? " Et ils crièrent encore plus fort : " Qu'il soit crucifié ! "

Y el presidente les dijo: Pues ¿qué mal ha hecho? Mas ellos gritaban más, diciendo: Sea crucificado.

And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

But the governor said, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they cried out exceedingly, saying, “Let him be crucified!”

Pilate, voyant qu'il ne gagnait rien, mais que le tumulte allait croissant, prit de l'eau et se lava les mains devant le peuple, en disant : " Je suis innocent du sang de ce juste ; à vous d'en répondre. "

Y viendo Pilato que nada adelantaba, antes se hacía más alboroto, tomando agua se lavó las manos delante del pueblo, diciendo: Inocente soy yo de la sangre de este justo: veréislo vosotros.

When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

So when Pilate saw that nothing was being gained, but rather that a disturbance was starting, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this righteous person. You see to it.”

Et tout le peuple dit : " Que son sang soit sur nous et sur nos enfants ! "

Y respondiendo todo el pueblo, dijo: Su sangre sea sobre nosotros, y sobre nuestros hijos.

Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

All the people answered, “May his blood be on us and on our children!”

Alors il leur relâcha Barabbas ; et, après avoir fait battre de verges Jésus, il le livra pour être crucifié.

Entonces les soltó á Barrabás: y habiendo azotado á Jesús, le entregó para ser crucificado.

Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

Les soldats du gouverneur emmenèrent Jésus dans le prétoire, et ils assemblèrent autour de lui toute la cohorte.

Entonces los soldados del presidente llevaron á Jesús al pretorio, y juntaron á él toda la cuadrilla;

Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium, and gathered the whole garrison together against him.

L'ayant dépouillé de ses vêtements, ils jetèrent sur lui un manteau d'écarlate.

Y desnudándole, le echaron encima un manto de grana;

And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

Ils tressèrent une couronne d'épines, qu'ils posèrent sur sa tête, et lui mirent un roseau dans la main droite ; puis, fléchissant le genou devant lui, ils lui disaient par dérision : " Salut, roi des Juifs. "

Y pusieron sobre su cabeza una corona tejida de espinas, y una caña en su mano derecha; é hincando la rodilla delante de él, le burlaban, diciendo: ¡Salve, Rey de los Judíos!

And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

Ils lui crachaient aussi au visage, et prenant le roseau, ils en frappaient sa tête.

Y escupiendo en él, tomaron la caña, y le herían en la cabeza.

And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

They spat on him, and took the reed and struck him on the head.

Après s'être ainsi joués de lui, ils lui ôtèrent le manteau, lui remirent ses vêtements et l'emmenèrent pour le crucifier.

Y después que le hubieron escarnecido, le desnudaron el manto, y le vistieron de sus vestidos, y le llevaron para crucificarle.

And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

Comme ils sortaient, ils rencontrèrent un homme de Cyrène, nommé Simon, qu'ils réquisitionnèrent pour porter la croix de Jésus.

And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

Puis, étant arrivés au lieu appelé Golgotha, c'est-à-dire, le lieu du Crâne,

ils lui donnèrent à boire du vin mêlé de fiel ; mais, l'ayant goûté, il ne voulut pas le boire.

Le dieron á beber vinagre mezclado con hiel; y gustando, no quiso beberlo.

They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

Quand ils l'eurent crucifié, ils se partagèrent ses vêtements en les tirant au sort, afin que s'accomplit la parole du Prophète : " Ils se sont partagés mes vêtements, et ils ont tiré ma robe au sort. "

And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

Au-dessus de sa tête ils mirent un écriteau indiquant la cause de son supplice : " Celui-ci est Jésus, le roi des Juifs. "

Y pusieron sobre su cabeza su causa escrita: ESTE ES JESUS EL REY DE LOS JUDIOS.

And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

En même temps, on crucifia avec lui deux brigands, l'un à sa droite et l'autre à sa gauche.

Entonces crucificaron con él dos ladrones, uno á la derecha, y otro á la izquierda.

Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

Then there were two robbers crucified with him, one on his right hand and one on the left.

Et les passants l'injuriaient, branlant la tête

Y los que pasaban, le decían injurias, meneando sus cabezas,

And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,

Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads

et disant : " Toi, qui détruis le temple et le rebâtis en trois jours, sauve-toi toi-même ! Si tu es Fils de Dieu, descends de la croix ! "

Y diciendo: Tú, el que derribas el templo, y en tres días lo reedificas, sálvate á ti mismo: si eres Hijo de Dios, desciende de la cruz.

And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

and saying, “You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!”

Les Princes des prêtres, avec les Scribes et les Anciens, le raillaient aussi et disaient :

De esta manera también los príncipes de los sacerdotes, escarneciendo con los escribas y los Fariseos y los ancianos, decían:

Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

Likewise the chief priests also mocking with the scribes, the Pharisees, and the elders, said,

" Il en a sauvé d'autres, et il ne peut se sauver lui-même ; s'il est roi d'Israël, qu'il descende maintenant de la croix, et nous croirons en lui.

A otros salvó, á sí mismo no puede salvar: si es el Rey de Israel, descienda ahora de la cruz, y creeremos en él.

He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

“He saved others, but he can’t save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him.

Il s'est confié en Dieu ; si Dieu l'aime, qu'il le délivre maintenant ; car il a dit : Je suis Fils de Dieu. "

Confió en Dios: líbrele ahora si le quiere: porque ha dicho: Soy Hijo de Dios.

He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

Les brigands qui étaient en croix avec lui, l'insultaient de la même manière.

Lo mismo también le zaherían los ladrones que estaban crucificados con él.

The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

The robbers also who were crucified with him cast on him the same reproach.

Depuis la sixième heure jusqu'à la neuvième, il y eut des ténèbres sur toute la terre.

Y desde la hora de sexta fueron tinieblas sobre toda la tierra hasta la hora de nona.

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

Vers la neuvième heure, Jésus cria d'une voix forte : " Eli, Eli, lamma sabacthani, c'est-à-dire, mon Dieu, mon Dieu, pourquoi m'avez-vous abandonné ? "

Y cerca de la hora de nona, Jesús exclamó con grande voz, diciendo: Eli, Eli, ¿lama sabachtani? Esto es: Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has desamparado?

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Quelques-uns de ceux qui étaient là, l'ayant entendu, dirent : " Il appelle Elie. "

Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

Et aussitôt l'un d'eux courut prendre une éponge qu'il emplit de vinaigre, et, l'ayant mise au bout d'un roseau, il lui présenta à boire.

Y luego, corriendo uno de ellos, tomó una esponja, y la hinchió de vinagre, y poniéndola en una caña, dábale de beber.

And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

Les autres disaient : " Laisse ; voyons si Elie viendra le sauver. "

Jésus poussa de nouveau un grand cri et rendit l'esprit.

Mas Jesús, habiendo otra vez exclamado con grande voz, dió el espíritu.

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

les sépulcres s'ouvrirent, et plusieurs saints, dont les corps y étaient couchés, ressuscitèrent.

Y abriéronse los sepulcros, y muchos cuerpos de santos que habían dormido, se levantaron;

And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;

Etant sortis de leur tombeau, ils entrèrent, après la résurrection de Jésus, dans la ville sainte et apparurent à plusieurs.

Y salidos de los sepulcros, después de su resurrección, vinieron á la santa ciudad, y aparecieron á muchos.

And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.

Le centurion et ceux qui étaient avec lui pour garder Jésus, voyant le tremblement de terre et tout ce qui se passait, furent saisis d'une grande frayeur, et dirent : " Cet homme était vraiment Fils de Dieu. "

Y el centurión, y los que estaban con él guardando á Jesús, visto el terremoto, y las cosas que habían sido hechas, temieron en gran manera, diciendo: Verdaderamente Hijo de Dios era éste.

Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Now the centurion and those who were with him watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that were done, were terrified, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

Il y avait là aussi plusieurs femmes qui regardaient de loin ; elles avaient suivi Jésus depuis la Galilée, pour le servir.

Y estaban allí muchas mujeres mirando de lejos, las cuales habían seguido de Galilea á Jesús, sirviéndole:

And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

Many women were there watching from afar, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, serving him.

Parmi elles étaient Marie-Madeleine, Marie mère de Jacques et de Joseph, et la mère des fils de Zébédée.

Entre las cuales estaban María Magdalena, y María la madre de Jacobo y de José, y la madre de los hijos de Zebedeo.

Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee’s children.

Sur le soir, arriva un homme riche d'Arimathie, nommé Joseph, qui était aussi un disciple de Jésus.

Y como fué la tarde del día, vino un hombre rico de Arimatea, llamado José, el cual también había sido discípulo de Jesús.

When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathæa, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple:

When evening had come, a rich man from Arimathaea named Joseph, who himself was also Jesus’ disciple, came.

Il alla trouver Pilate, et lui demanda le corps de Jésus. Et Pilate ordonna qu'on le lui remît.

Este llegó á Pilato, y pidió el cuerpo de Jesús: entonces Pilato mandó que se le diese el cuerpo.

He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

This man went to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given up.

Joseph prit le corps, l'enveloppa d'un linceul blanc,

Y tomando José el cuerpo, lo envolvió en una sábana limpia,

et le déposa dans le sépulcre neuf, qu'il avait fait tailler dans le roc pour lui-même ; puis, ayant roulé une grosse pierre à l'entrée du sépulcre, il s'en alla.
