Mateo 27

Quando amanheceu, os sacerdotes principais e os líderes religiosos do povo judeu reuniram-se outra vez para discutir a maneira de convencer o governo romano a sentenciar Jesus à morte.

Y VENIDA la mañana, entraron en consejo todos los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los ancianos del pueblo, contra Jesús, para entregarle á muerte.

When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

Então eles mandaram Jesus amarrado a Pilatos, o governador romano.

Y le llevaron atado, y le entregaron á Poncio Pilato presidente.

And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

They bound him, led him away, and delivered him up to Pontius Pilate, the governor.

Quando Judas, o traidor, viu que Jesus tinha sido condenado à morte, ficou com muito remorso pelo que tinha feito e trouxe de volta o dinheiro aos sacerdotes principais e aos outros líderes religiosos.

Entonces Judas, el que le había entregado, viendo que era condenado, volvió arrepentido las treinta piezas de plata á los príncipes de los sacerdotes y á los ancianos,

Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

Then Judas, who betrayed him, when he saw that Jesus was condemned, felt remorse, and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

“Eu pequei”, declarou ele, “pois traí um homem inocente”. “O problema é seu”, responderam eles.

Diciendo: Yo he pecado entregando la sangre inocente. Mas ellos dijeron: ¿Qué se nos da á nosotros? Viéraslo tú.

Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

saying, “I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood.” But they said, “What is that to us? You see to it.”

Então ele atirou o dinheiro no chão do templo, saiu e foi enforcar-se.

Y arrojando las piezas de plata en el templo, partióse; y fué, y se ahorcó.

And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

He threw down the pieces of silver in the sanctuary and departed. Then he went away and hanged himself.

Os sacerdotes principais ajuntaram as moedas. “Não podemos pôr o dinheiro na coleta”, disseram eles, “porque é contra as nossas leis aceitar dinheiro pago por assassinato”.

Y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, tomando las piezas de plata, dijeron: No es lícito echarlas en el tesoro de los dones, porque es precio de sangre.

And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

The chief priests took the pieces of silver and said, “It’s not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of blood.”

Eles discutiram a questão e finalmente decidiram comprar certo campo, onde o barro era usado pelos oleiros, e transformá-lo num cemitério para os estrangeiros que morressem em Jerusalém.

Mas habido consejo, compraron con ellas el campo del alfarero, por sepultura para los extranjeros.

And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in.

Por isso o cemitério se chama “O Campo de Sangue” até o dia de hoje.

Por lo cual fué llamado aquel campo, Campo de sangre, hasta el día de hoy.

Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

Therefore that field has been called “The Field of Blood” to this day.

Isto cumpriu a profecia de Jeremias que diz: “Tomaram as trinta peças de prata, preço pelo qual ele foi avaliado pelo povo de Israel,

Entonces se cumplió lo que fué dicho por el profeta Jeremías, que dijo: Y tomaron las treinta piezas de plata, precio del apreciado, que fué apreciado por los hijos de Israel;

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;

Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying, “They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him upon whom a price had been set, whom some of the children of Israel priced,

e compraram um campo dos oleiros, como o Senhor me orientou”.

Y las dieron para el campo del alfarero, como me ordenó el Señor.

And gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord appointed me.

and they gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord commanded me.”

Agora Jesus estava de pé diante de Pilatos, o governador romano. “Você é o rei dos judeus?”, perguntou-lhe o governador. Jesus respondeu: “O senhor é que está dizendo”.

Y Jesús estuvo delante del presidente; y el presidente le preguntó, diciendo: ¿Eres tú el Rey de los judíos? Y Jesús le dijo: Tú lo dices.

And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

Now Jesus stood before the governor; and the governor asked him, saying, “Are you the King of the Jews?” Jesus said to him, “So you say.”

Mas quando os sacerdotes principais e os outros líderes religiosos dos judeus fizeram numerosas acusações contra ele, Jesus ficou calado.

Y siendo acusado por los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y por los ancianos, nada respondió.

And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

When he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

“Você não ouve o que eles estão fazendo contra você?”, perguntou Pilatos.

Pilato entonces le dice: ¿No oyes cuántas cosas testifican contra ti?

Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

Then Pilate said to him, “Don’t you hear how many things they testify against you?”

Mas Jesus não disse nada, para a surpresa do governador.

Y no le respondió ni una palabra; de tal manera que el presidente se maravillaba mucho.

And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

He gave him no answer, not even one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.

Ora, o governador tinha o costume de todo ano durante a celebração da Páscoa soltar um prisioneiro judeu escolhido pela multidão.

Y en el día de la fiesta acostumbraba el presidente soltar al pueblo un preso, cual quisiesen.

Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

Now at the feast the governor was accustomed to release to the multitude one prisoner whom they desired.

Nesse ano estava preso um criminoso muito conhecido, chamado Barrabás,

Y tenían entonces un preso famoso que se llamaba Barrabás.

And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

e quando o povo se reuniu diante da casa de Pilatos naquela manhã, ele perguntou a eles: “Quem vocês querem que eu solte: Barrabás ou Jesus, chamado Cristo?”

Y juntos ellos, les dijo Pilato: ¿Cuál queréis que os suelte? ¿á Barrabás, ó á Jesús que se dice el Cristo?

Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

When therefore they were gathered together, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?”

Pois ele sabia muito bem que os líderes dos judeus tinham prendido Jesus por inveja.

Porque sabía que por envidia le habían entregado.

For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

For he knew that because of envy they had delivered him up.

Nesse momento, enquanto Pilatos estava presidindo o tribunal, a esposa dele mandou-lhe este recado: “Deixe esse bom homem em paz; porque na noite passada eu tive um pesadelo com ele”.

Y estando él sentado en el tribunal, su mujer envió á él, diciendo: No tengas que ver con aquel justo; porque hoy he padecido muchas cosas en sueños por causa de él.

When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, “Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of him.”

Enquanto isso, os sacerdotes principais e os oficiais religiosos convenceram o povo a pedir a liberdade de Barrabás, e a morte de Jesus.

Mas los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los ancianos, persuadieron al pueblo que pidiese á Barrabás, y á Jesús matase.

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes to ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus.

Então, quando o governador perguntou outra vez: “Qual destes dois eu devo soltar para vocês?”, a multidão respondeu gritando: “Barrabás!”

Y respondiendo el presidente les dijo: ¿Cuál de los dos queréis que os suelte? Y ellos dijeron: A Barrabás.

The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

But the governor answered them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” They said, “Barabbas!”

“E que farei de Jesus, chamado Cristo?”, perguntou Pilatos. Eles gritaram: “Crucifique-o!”

Pilato les dijo: ¿Qué pues haré de Jesús que se dice el Cristo? Dícenle todos: Sea crucificado.

Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

Pilate said to them, “What then shall I do to Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said to him, “Let him be crucified!”

“Por quê?”, perguntou Pilatos. “Que crime ele cometeu?”

Y el presidente les dijo: Pues ¿qué mal ha hecho? Mas ellos gritaban más, diciendo: Sea crucificado.

And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

But the governor said, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they cried out exceedingly, saying, “Let him be crucified!”

Porém eles continuaram gritando: “Crucifique! Crucifique!” Quando Pilatos viu que não estava chegando a resultado algum, e que começava a se formar uma confusão, mandou buscar uma bacia d’água e lavou as mãos diante da multidão, dizendo: “Eu estou inocente do sangue deste homem. A responsabilidade é de vocês!”

Y viendo Pilato que nada adelantaba, antes se hacía más alboroto, tomando agua se lavó las manos delante del pueblo, diciendo: Inocente soy yo de la sangre de este justo: veréislo vosotros.

When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

So when Pilate saw that nothing was being gained, but rather that a disturbance was starting, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this righteous person. You see to it.”

E a multidão gritou: “Que o sangue dele caia sobre nós e sobre os nossos filhos!”

Y respondiendo todo el pueblo, dijo: Su sangre sea sobre nosotros, y sobre nuestros hijos.

Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

All the people answered, “May his blood be on us and on our children!”

Então Pilatos soltou-lhes Barrabás. Depois mandou chicotear Jesus, e o entregou aos soldados romanos para que fosse crucificado.

Entonces les soltó á Barrabás: y habiendo azotado á Jesús, le entregó para ser crucificado.

Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

Then he released Barabbas to them, but Jesus he flogged and delivered to be crucified.

Mas primeiro os soldados levaram Jesus para o pátio do quartel e chamaram a tropa toda.

Entonces los soldados del presidente llevaron á Jesús al pretorio, y juntaron á él toda la cuadrilla;

Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium, and gathered the whole garrison together against him.

Tiraram-lhe a roupa e vestiram-lhe um manto vermelho.

Y desnudándole, le echaron encima un manto de grana;

And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him.

Fizeram uma coroa de espinhos e a colocaram em sua cabeça; depois puseram-lhe uma vara na mão direita, como se fosse um cetro, e se ajoelharam diante dele em sinal de zombaria. “Salve, rei dos judeus”, gritavam eles.

Y pusieron sobre su cabeza una corona tejida de espinas, y una caña en su mano derecha; é hincando la rodilla delante de él, le burlaban, diciendo: ¡Salve, Rey de los Judíos!

And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

E cuspiam nele, tomavam a vara da mão dele e batiam com ela na cabeça dele.

Y escupiendo en él, tomaron la caña, y le herían en la cabeza.

And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

They spat on him, and took the reed and struck him on the head.

Depois da zombaria, eles tiraram o manto e o vestiram novamente com as suas próprias roupas; aí o levaram para fora, a fim de crucificá-lo.

Y después que le hubieron escarnecido, le desnudaron el manto, y le vistieron de sus vestidos, y le llevaron para crucificarle.

And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

When they had mocked him, they took the robe off him, and put his clothes on him, and led him away to crucify him.

Quando estavam a caminho do lugar de execução, encontraram um homem de Cirene, chamado Simão, e o forçaram a carregar a cruz de Jesus.

Y saliendo, hallaron á un Cireneo, que se llamaba Simón: á éste cargaron para que llevase su cruz.

And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

As they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, and they compelled him to go with them, that he might carry his cross.

Então saíram para um lugar conhecido como Gólgota, isto é, “monte da Caveira”,

Y como llegaron al lugar que se llama Gólgotha, que es dicho, El lugar de la calavera,

And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,

When they came to a place called “Golgotha”, that is to say, “The place of a skull,”

onde os soldados lhe deram para beber vinho para aliviar a dor; mas depois de prová-lo, rejeitou-o.

Le dieron á beber vinagre mezclado con hiel; y gustando, no quiso beberlo.

They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

they gave him sour wine to drink mixed with gall. When he had tasted it, he would not drink.

Depois da crucificação, os soldados tiraram a sorte para dividir entre si as roupas dele.

Y después que le hubieron crucificado, repartieron sus vestidos, echando suertes: para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el profeta: Se repartieron mis vestidos, y sobre mi ropa echaron suertes.

And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

When they had crucified him, they divided his clothing among them, casting lots,

Então sentaram-se em volta e ficaram montando guarda, enquanto ele estava pendurado ali.

Y sentados le guardaban allí.

And sitting down they watched him there;

and they sat and watched him there.

E puseram uma tabuleta por cima da sua cabeça com a acusação feita contra ele: “Este é Jesus, o Rei dos Judeus”.

Y pusieron sobre su cabeza su causa escrita: ESTE ES JESUS EL REY DE LOS JUDIOS.

And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

They set up over his head the accusation against him written, “THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

Dois assaltantes foram também crucificados ali, um à sua direita e outro à sua esquerda.

Entonces crucificaron con él dos ladrones, uno á la derecha, y otro á la izquierda.

Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

Then there were two robbers crucified with him, one on his right hand and one on the left.

E o povo que passava dirigia-lhe ofensas, sacudindo a cabeça para ele

Y los que pasaban, le decían injurias, meneando sus cabezas,

And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,

Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads

e dizendo: “É! Você pode destruir o templo e construí-lo outra vez em três dias, não é? Ora, desça da cruz e salve sua vida se é o Filho de Deus!”

Y diciendo: Tú, el que derribas el templo, y en tres días lo reedificas, sálvate á ti mismo: si eres Hijo de Dios, desciende de la cruz.

And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

and saying, “You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!”

E os sacerdotes principais e os mestres da lei também zombaram dele.

De esta manera también los príncipes de los sacerdotes, escarneciendo con los escribas y los Fariseos y los ancianos, decían:

Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

Likewise the chief priests also mocking with the scribes, the Pharisees, and the elders, said,

“Ele salvou os outros”, caçoavam, “mas não pode salvar-se a si mesmo! Então ele é o rei de Israel? Pois desça da cruz e nós creremos nele!

A otros salvó, á sí mismo no puede salvar: si es el Rey de Israel, descienda ahora de la cruz, y creeremos en él.

He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

“He saved others, but he can’t save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him.

Ele confiou em Deus. Deus que mostre sua aprovação a ele, livrando-o! Ele não disse: ‘Sou o Filho de Deus’?”

Confió en Dios: líbrele ahora si le quiere: porque ha dicho: Soy Hijo de Dios.

He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”

E os assaltantes que haviam sido crucificados com ele também faziam-lhe as mesmas acusações.

Lo mismo también le zaherían los ladrones que estaban crucificados con él.

The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

The robbers also who were crucified with him cast on him the same reproach.

Naquela tarde, a terra inteira ficou escura durante três horas, desde o meio-dia até as três da tarde.

Y desde la hora de sexta fueron tinieblas sobre toda la tierra hasta la hora de nona.

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.

Perto das três horas, Jesus clamou: “Eli, Eli, lamá sabactâni?”, que quer dizer: “Meu Deus, meu Deus, por que o Senhor me abandonou?”

Y cerca de la hora de nona, Jesús exclamó con grande voz, diciendo: Eli, Eli, ¿lama sabachtani? Esto es: Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has desamparado?

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

About the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lima sabachthani?” That is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

Alguns dos que estavam presentes ouviram isso e disseram: “Ele está chamando Elias”.

Y algunos de los que estaban allí, oyéndolo, decían: A Elías llama éste.

Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

Some of them who stood there, when they heard it, said, “This man is calling Elijah.”

Um deles correu e ensopou uma esponja com vinho azedo, pôs numa vara e suspendeu-a para que ele bebesse.

Y luego, corriendo uno de ellos, tomó una esponja, y la hinchió de vinagre, y poniéndola en una caña, dábale de beber.

And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave him a drink.

Mas os outros diziam: “Deixe-o sozinho. Vamos ver se Elias vem salvá-lo”.

Y los otros decían: Deja, veamos si viene Elías á librarle.

The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

The rest said, “Let him be. Let’s see whether Elijah comes to save him.”

Então Jesus clamou outra vez, entregou o espírito e morreu.

Mas Jesús, habiendo otra vez exclamado con grande voz, dió el espíritu.

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

Jesus cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit.

Naquele mesmo instante a cortina que separava o Lugar Santíssimo do Templo foi rasgada de cima até embaixo; a terra estremeceu, e as rochas se partiram.

Y he aquí, el velo del templo se rompió en dos, de alto á bajo: y la tierra tembló, y las piedras se hendieron;

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

Behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split.

Os túmulos se abriram e muitos homens e mulheres piedosos que tinham morrido ressuscitaram!

Y abriéronse los sepulcros, y muchos cuerpos de santos que habían dormido, se levantaron;

And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;

E, saindo dos túmulos, depois da ressurreição de Jesus, entraram em Jerusalém, e lá apareceram a muita gente!

Y salidos de los sepulcros, después de su resurrección, vinieron á la santa ciudad, y aparecieron á muchos.

And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.

Os soldados da crucificação e o centurião tiveram muito medo do terremoto e de tudo que aconteceu e exclamaram: “Verdadeiramente, este era o Filho de Deus”.

Y el centurión, y los que estaban con él guardando á Jesús, visto el terremoto, y las cosas que habían sido hechas, temieron en gran manera, diciendo: Verdaderamente Hijo de Dios era éste.

Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Now the centurion and those who were with him watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that were done, were terrified, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

E muitas mulheres que tinham vindo da Galileia com Jesus para cuidar dele olhavam de longe.

Y estaban allí muchas mujeres mirando de lejos, las cuales habían seguido de Galilea á Jesús, sirviéndole:

And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

Many women were there watching from afar, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, serving him.

Entre elas estavam Maria Madalena, Maria, mãe de Tiago e de José, e a mãe dos filhos de Zebedeu.

Entre las cuales estaban María Magdalena, y María la madre de Jacobo y de José, y la madre de los hijos de Zebedeo.

Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee’s children.

Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

Quando anoitecia, um homem rico de Arimateia, chamado José, um dos seguidores de Jesus,

Y como fué la tarde del día, vino un hombre rico de Arimatea, llamado José, el cual también había sido discípulo de Jesús.

When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathæa, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus’ disciple:

When evening had come, a rich man from Arimathaea named Joseph, who himself was also Jesus’ disciple, came.

foi a Pilatos e pediu o corpo dele. Pilatos deu ordem para que fosse entregue a ele.

Este llegó á Pilato, y pidió el cuerpo de Jesús: entonces Pilato mandó que se le diese el cuerpo.

He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

This man went to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given up.

José pegou o corpo, enrolou-o num lençol limpo de linho

Y tomando José el cuerpo, lo envolvió en una sábana limpia,

And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth

e o colocou no seu próprio túmulo aberto havia pouco tempo na rocha. Quando foi embora, rolou uma grande pedra para fechar a entrada do túmulo.

Y lo puso en su sepulcro nuevo, que había labrado en la peña: y revuelta una grande piedra á la puerta del sepulcro, se fué.

Portanto, pedimos que o senhor guarde o túmulo até o terceiro dia, para que os discípulos dele não venham roubar o seu corpo, e depois digam ao povo que ele ressuscitou dentre os mortos! Se isto acontecer, nós estaremos em pior situação do que antes”.

Manda, pues, que se asegure el sepulcro hasta el día tercero; porque no vengan sus discípulos de noche, y le hurten, y digan al pueblo: Resucitó de los muertos. Y será el postrer error peor que el primero.

“Levem um destacamento”, disse-lhes Pilatos. “Guardem o sepulcro como acharem melhor”.

Y Pilato les dijo: Tenéis una guardia: id, aseguradlo como sabéis.

Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

Assim eles lacraram a pedra e puseram guardas para proteger o túmulo contra qualquer pessoa que aparecesse lá.

Y yendo ellos, aseguraron el sepulcro, sellando la piedra, con la guardia.

So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
