Die Hohenpriester aber nahmen die Silberlinge und sprachen: Es ist nicht erlaubt, sie in den Opferkasten zu werfen, weil es Schatzung des Blutes ist.

Der Landpfleger hatte aber die Gewohnheit, dem Gedränge auf das Fest einen Gefangenen loszugeben, welchen sie wollten.
Y en el día de la fiesta acostumbraba el presidente soltar al pueblo un preso, cual quisiesen.
Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

Die Hohenpriester aber und die Ältesten überredeten das Gedränge, daß sie um Barabbas bitten sollten, Jesum aber umbrächten.
Mas los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los ancianos, persuadieron al pueblo que pidiese á Barrabás, y á Jesús matase.
But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

Der Landpfleger aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Welchen wollt ihr von den zweien, daß ich euch losgebe? Sie aber sprachen: Barabbas!

The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

Spricht Pilatus zu ihnen: Was soll ich denn mit Jesus tun, Der Christus genannt wird? Sie sprachen alle: Er soll gekreuzigt werden!

Der Landpfleger aber sprach: Was hat Er denn Böses getan? Sie aber schrien viel mehr und sprachen: Er soll gekreuzigt werden!
Y el presidente les dijo: Pues ¿qué mal ha hecho? Mas ellos gritaban más, diciendo: Sea crucificado.
And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
But the governor said, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they cried out exceedingly, saying, “Let him be crucified!”
Da Pilatus aber sah, daß es nicht nützte, sondern des Getümmels mehr ward, nahm er Wasser, wusch sich die Hände vor dem Gedränge und sprach: Ich bin unschuldig an dem Blute dieses Gerechten! Seht ihr zu.
Y viendo Pilato que nada adelantaba, antes se hacía más alboroto, tomando agua se lavó las manos delante del pueblo, diciendo: Inocente soy yo de la sangre de este justo: veréislo vosotros.
When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

Und das ganze Volk antwortete und sprach: Sein Blut sei auf uns und unseren Kindern!
Y respondiendo todo el pueblo, dijo: Su sangre sea sobre nosotros, y sobre nuestros hijos.
Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
All the people answered, “May his blood be on us and on our children!”
Da gab er ihnen Barabbas los, Jesus aber ließ er geißeln und überantwortete Ihn, daß Er gekreuzigt würde.
Entonces les soltó á Barrabás: y habiendo azotado á Jesús, le entregó para ser crucificado.

Da nahmen die Kriegsknechte des Landpflegers Jesus in das Richthaus und versammelten die ganze Kohorte über Ihn.
Entonces los soldados del presidente llevaron á Jesús al pretorio, y juntaron á él toda la cuadrilla;
Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

Y diciendo: Tú, el que derribas el templo, y en tres días lo reedificas, sálvate á ti mismo: si eres Hijo de Dios, desciende de la cruz.
And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

Desgleichen verspotteten Ihn auch die Hohenpriester mit den Schriftgelehrten und Ältesten und sprachen:
De esta manera también los príncipes de los sacerdotes, escarneciendo con los escribas y los Fariseos y los ancianos, decían:
Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

Andere hat Er gerettet, Sich Selbst kann Er nicht retten! Wenn Er Israels König ist, so steige Er nun herab vom Kreuz, und wir wollen Ihm glauben.
A otros salvó, á sí mismo no puede salvar: si es el Rey de Israel, descienda ahora de la cruz, y creeremos en él.
He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

Ebenso aber schmähten Ihn auch die Räuber, die mit Ihm gekreuzigt waren.
Lo mismo también le zaherían los ladrones que estaban crucificados con él.
The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

Aber von der sechsten Stunde an ward Finsternis über das ganze Land bis zur neunten Stunde.

Um die neunte Stunde aber schrie Jesus auf mit großer Stimme und sprach: Eli, Eli lama sabachthani, das ist: Mein Gott, Mein Gott, warum hat Du Mich verlassen?
Y cerca de la hora de nona, Jesús exclamó con grande voz, diciendo: Eli, Eli, ¿lama sabachtani? Esto es: Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has desamparado?
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Einige aber der dort Stehenden, da sie es hörten, sagten: Er ruft den Elias herbei.

And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

Jesus aber schrie abermals mit großer Stimme und gab den Geist auf.

Da aber der Hauptmann und die mit ihm Jesus bewachten sahen das Erdbeben und das, was geschah, fürchteten sie sich sehr und sprachen: Fürwahr, Dieser war Gottes Sohn!
Y el centurión, y los que estaban con él guardando á Jesús, visto el terremoto, y las cosas que habían sido hechas, temieron en gran manera, diciendo: Verdaderamente Hijo de Dios era éste.
Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Es waren aber da viele Frauen, die von weitem zuschauten; die Jesus aus Galiläa nachgefolgt waren, um Ihm Dienste zu tun.
Y estaban allí muchas mujeres mirando de lejos, las cuales habían seguido de Galilea á Jesús, sirviéndole:
And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

So befiehl denn, daß man sich der Grabstätte bis zum dritten Tag versichere, auf daß nicht Seine Jünger kommen, Ihn stehlen und dem Volke sagen: Er ist von den Toten auferweckt! und die letzte Verführung schlimmer werde als die erste.
Manda, pues, que se asegure el sepulcro hasta el día tercero; porque no vengan sus discípulos de noche, y le hurten, y digan al pueblo: Resucitó de los muertos. Y será el postrer error peor que el primero.

Sie aber gingen hin, versicherten sich der Grabstätte und mit der Wache versiegelten sie den Stein.
Y yendo ellos, aseguraron el sepulcro, sellando la piedra, con la guardia.
So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
