Cuando el nacimiento de Jesús tuvo lugar en Belén de Judea, en los días del rey Herodes, llegaron hombres magos del oriente a Jerusalén,

Y COMO fué nacido Jesús en Bethlehem de Judea en días del rey Herodes, he aquí unos magos vinieron del oriente á Jerusalem,

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

Diciendo: ¿Dónde está el Rey de los Judíos, cuyo nacimiento ha tenido lugar ahora? Hemos visto su estrella en el este y hemos venido a darle culto.

Diciendo: ¿Dónde está el Rey de los Judíos, que ha nacido? porque su estrella hemos visto en el oriente, y venimos á adorarle.

Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

“Where is he who is born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship him.”

Y cuando llegó el oído del rey Herodes, se turbó, y toda Jerusalén con él.

Y oyendo esto el rey Herodes, se turbó, y toda Jerusalem con él.

When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

Y reunió a todos los principales sacerdotes y escribas del pueblo, preguntándoles dónde estaría el lugar de nacimiento del Cristo.

Y convocados todos los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas del pueblo, les preguntó dónde había de nacer el Cristo.

And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

Y ellos le dijeron: En Belén de Judea; porque así está escrito en los escritos del profeta,

Y tú Belén, en la tierra de Judá, no eres la más pequeña entre los príncipes de Judá: de ti saldrá un gobernante, que apacentará a mi pueblo Israel.

Y tú, Bethlehem, de tierra de Judá, no eres muy pequeña entre los príncipes de Judá; porque de ti saldrá un guiador, que apacentará á mi pueblo Israel.

And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

‘You Bethlehem, land of Judah, are in no way least among the princes of Judah; for out of you shall come a governor who shall shepherd my people, Israel.’”

Entonces Herodes llamó a los hombres magos en privado, y les hizo preguntas sobre a qué hora se había visto la estrella.

Entonces Herodes, llamando en secreto á los magos, entendió de ellos diligentemente el tiempo del aparecimiento de la estrella;

Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

Y los envió a Belén, y dijo: Ve y asegúrate donde está el niño; y cuando lo hayas visto, déjame tener noticias de él, para que pueda venir y darle culto.

Y enviándolos á Bethlehem, dijo: Andad allá, y preguntad con diligencia por el niño; y después que le hallareis, hacédmelo saber, para que yo también vaya y le adore.

And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

Y oyendo al rey, se fueron; y la estrella que vieron en el este fue delante de ellos, hasta que se detuvo sobre el lugar donde estaba el niño.

Y ellos, habiendo oído al rey, se fueron: y he aquí la estrella que habían visto en el oriente, iba delante de ellos, hasta que llegando, se puso sobre donde estaba el niño.

When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

Y cuando vieron la estrella, se llenaron de alegría.

Y vista la estrella, se regocijaron con muy grande gozo.

Y entraron en la casa, y vieron al niño pequeño con María, su madre; y cayendo sobre sus rostros le dieron culto; y abriendo sus tesoros le dieron ofrendas de oro, perfume y Mirra.

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Y les fue manifestado por Dios en sueños que no debían regresar a Herodes; entonces ellos entraron a su país por otro camino.

Y siendo avisados por revelación en sueños que no volviesen á Herodes, se volvieron á su tierra por otro camino.

And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

Después que partieron ellos, un ángel del Señor vino a José en sueños, y le dijo: Levántate, toma al niño y a su madre, y vete a Egipto, y no vuelvas de allí hasta que yo te dé palabra; porque Herodes estará buscando al niño para matarlo.

Y partidos ellos, he aquí el ángel del Señor aparece en sueños á José, diciendo: Levántate, y toma al niño y á su madre, y huye á Egipto, y estáte allá hasta que yo te lo diga; porque ha de acontecer, que Herodes buscará al niño para matarlo.

And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.”

Entonces tomó al niño y a su madre de noche, y se fue a Egipto;

Y él despertando, tomó al niño y á su madre de noche, y se fué á Egipto;

When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

Y estuvo allí hasta la muerte de Herodes; para que la palabra del Señor por medio del profeta se haga realidad, de Egipto llamé a mi hijo.

Y estuvo allá hasta la muerte de Herodes: para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el Señor, por el profeta que dijo: De Egipto llamé á mi Hijo.

And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Entonces Herodes, cuando vio que había sido engañado por los magos, se enojó mucho; y envió y mató a todos los hijos varones en Belén y en todas las partes de alrededor, desde los dos años y menos, de acuerdo con el tiempo que le habían dicho los magos.

Herodes entonces, como se vió burlado de los magos, se enojó mucho, y envió, y mató á todos los niños que había en Bethlehem y en todos sus términos, de edad de dos años abajo, conforme al tiempo que había entendido de los magos.

Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.

Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked by the wise men, was exceedingly angry, and sent out and killed all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all the surrounding countryside, from two years old and under, according to the exact time which he had learned from the wise men.

Entonces la palabra del profeta Jeremías se hizo realidad,

Entonces fué cumplido lo que se había dicho por el profeta Jeremías, que dijo:

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,

En Ramá hubo un sonido de llanto y gran tristeza, Raquel llorando por sus hijos, y ella no quiso ser consolada por su pérdida.

Voz fué oída en Ramá, grande lamentación, lloro y gemido: Rachêl que llora sus hijos; y no quiso ser consolada, porque perecieron.

In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

“A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children; she wouldn’t be comforted, because they are no more.”

Pero cuando Herodes hubo muerto, un ángel del Señor se presentó en sueños a José en Egipto,

Mas muerto Herodes, he aquí el ángel del Señor aparece en sueños á José en Egipto,

But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying,

Diciendo: Levántate, toma al niño y a su madre, y vete a la tierra de Israel; porque los que estaban tratando de tomar la vida del niño pequeño han muerto.

Diciendo: Levántate, y toma al niño y á su madre, y vete á tierra de Israel; que muertos son los que procuraban la muerte del niño.

Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child’s life.

“Arise and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel, for those who sought the young child’s life are dead.”

Entonces él se levantó, y tomó al niño y a su madre, y vino a la tierra de Israel.

Pero oyendo que Arquelao gobernaba sobre Judea en lugar de su padre Herodes, temió ir allá; y avisado por Dios en sueños, se fue a la región de Galilea.

Y oyendo que Archelao reinaba en Judea en lugar de Herodes su padre, temió ir allá: mas amonestado por revelación en sueños, se fué á las partes de Galilea.

But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:

But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in the place of his father, Herod, he was afraid to go there. Being warned in a dream, he withdrew into the region of Galilee,

Y vino, y vivió en un pueblo llamado Nazaret, para que la palabra de los profetas se cumpliera, se le llamaría Nazareno.

Y vino, y habitó en la ciudad que se llama Nazaret: para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por los profetas, que había de ser llamado Nazareno.

And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
