Depois do nascimento de Jesus, em Belém da Judéia, nos tempos do rei Herodes, os sábios do Oriente chegaram a Jerusalém, dizendo:

Y COMO fué nacido Jesús en Bethlehem de Judea en días del rey Herodes, he aquí unos magos vinieron del oriente á Jerusalem,

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying,

"Onde está aquele que nasceu, o Rei dos Judeus? Nós vimos a sua estrela no Oriente e viemos adorá-Lo."

Diciendo: ¿Dónde está el Rey de los Judíos, que ha nacido? porque su estrella hemos visto en el oriente, y venimos á adorarle.

Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

“Where is he who is born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship him.”

Quando o rei Herodes ouviu isso, ficou perturbado, e com ele toda a Jerusalém.

Y oyendo esto el rey Herodes, se turbó, y toda Jerusalem con él.

When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

Herodes reuniu todos os chefes dos sacerdotes e os mestres do povo, e perguntou: "Onde o Cristo vai nascer?"

Y convocados todos los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas del pueblo, les preguntó dónde había de nacer el Cristo.

And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

Eles disseram: "Em Belém da Judeia, porque está escrito pelo profeta:

Y ellos le dijeron: En Bethlehem de Judea; porque así está escrito por el profeta:

And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

They said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for this is written through the prophet,

'E tu, Belém, na terra de Judá, não és a menor dentre as principais cidades de Judá, porque de ti virá um líder que irá pastorear o Meu povo de Israel'".

Y tú, Bethlehem, de tierra de Judá, no eres muy pequeña entre los príncipes de Judá; porque de ti saldrá un guiador, que apacentará á mi pueblo Israel.

And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

‘You Bethlehem, land of Judah, are in no way least among the princes of Judah; for out of you shall come a governor who shall shepherd my people, Israel.’”

Então Herodes chamou secretamente os sábios para perguntar-lhes exatamente quando a estrela tinha aparecido.

Entonces Herodes, llamando en secreto á los magos, entendió de ellos diligentemente el tiempo del aparecimiento de la estrella;

Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

Ele os enviou a Belém, dizendo: "Ide e procurai pelo menino com cuidado. Quando o achardes, avisai-me, para que eu possa ir e adorá-Lo".

Y enviándolos á Bethlehem, dijo: Andad allá, y preguntad con diligencia por el niño; y después que le hallareis, hacédmelo saber, para que yo también vaya y le adore.

And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

Depois de terem ouvido o rei, partiram, e a estrela que eles tinham visto no Oriente foi adiante deles até que parou acima do lugar onde o menino estava.

Y ellos, habiendo oído al rey, se fueron: y he aquí la estrella que habían visto en el oriente, iba delante de ellos, hasta que llegando, se puso sobre donde estaba el niño.

When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

They, having heard the king, went their way; and behold, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them until it came and stood over where the young child was.

Quando eles viram a estrela, regozijaram-se com grande alegria.

Y vista la estrella, se regocijaron con muy grande gozo.

When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

Eles entraram na casa, viram o menino com Maria, Sua mãe, curvaram-se e O adoraram. Eles abriram seus tesouros e ofereceram-Lhe presentes: ouro, incenso e mirra.

Y entrando en la casa, vieron al niño con su madre María, y postrándose, le adoraron; y abriendo sus tesoros, le ofrecieron dones, oro é incienso y mirra.

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Deus os alertou em sonho que não retornassem a Herodes, e eles partiram para o seu próprio país por outro caminho.

Y siendo avisados por revelación en sueños que no volviesen á Herodes, se volvieron á su tierra por otro camino.

And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

Being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they went back to their own country another way.

Depois de partirem, um anjo do Senhor apareceu a José em sonho e disse: "Levante-te, pega o menino e sua mãe, e foge para o Egito. Permanece lá até que eu te diga, porque Herodes procurará o menino para destruí-Lo".

Y partidos ellos, he aquí el ángel del Señor aparece en sueños á José, diciendo: Levántate, y toma al niño y á su madre, y huye á Egipto, y estáte allá hasta que yo te lo diga; porque ha de acontecer, que Herodes buscará al niño para matarlo.

And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.”

Naquela noite, José levantou-se, pegou o menino com Sua mãe e partiu para o Egito.

Y él despertando, tomó al niño y á su madre de noche, y se fué á Egipto;

When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

Ele permaneceu lá até a morte de Herodes. Isso cumpriu o que o Senhor dissera por meio do profeta: "Do Egito chamei Meu Filho".

Y estuvo allá hasta la muerte de Herodes: para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el Señor, por el profeta que dijo: De Egipto llamé á mi Hijo.

And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Então Herodes, quando viu que tinha sido enganado pelos sábios, ficou furioso. Ele mandou matar todos os meninos de dois anos ou menos que estavam em Belém e em toda aquela região, de acordo com o tempo indicado com precisão pelos sábios.

Herodes entonces, como se vió burlado de los magos, se enojó mucho, y envió, y mató á todos los niños que había en Bethlehem y en todos sus términos, de edad de dos años abajo, conforme al tiempo que había entendido de los magos.

Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.

Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked by the wise men, was exceedingly angry, and sent out and killed all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all the surrounding countryside, from two years old and under, according to the exact time which he had learned from the wise men.

Então cumpriu-se o que havia sido falado pelo profeta Jeremias:

Entonces fué cumplido lo que se había dicho por el profeta Jeremías, que dijo:

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,

Then that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying,

"Uma voz de lamento e de grande gemido foi ouvida em Ramá, era Raquel lamentando por seus filhos, e ela recusou-se a ser confortada porque eles não mais existiam".

Voz fué oída en Ramá, grande lamentación, lloro y gemido: Rachêl que llora sus hijos; y no quiso ser consolada, porque perecieron.

In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

“A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children; she wouldn’t be comforted, because they are no more.”

Quando Herodes morreu, eis que um anjo do Senhor apareceu em um sonho a José no Egito e disse:

Mas muerto Herodes, he aquí el ángel del Señor aparece en sueños á José en Egipto,

But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying,

"Levanta-te e pega o menino e Sua mãe e vai para a terra de Israel, porque aqueles que tentaram tirar a vida do menino estão mortos".

Diciendo: Levántate, y toma al niño y á su madre, y vete á tierra de Israel; que muertos son los que procuraban la muerte del niño.

Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child’s life.

“Arise and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel, for those who sought the young child’s life are dead.”

José levantou-se, pegou o menino e Sua mãe, e foi para a terra de Israel.

Entonces él se levantó, y tomó al niño y á su madre, y se vino á tierra de Israel.

And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.

He arose and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.

Entretanto, quando ele ouviu que Arquelau estava reinando sobre a Judéia, no lugar de seu pai Herodes, ficou com medo de ir para lá. Depois que Deus o avisou em um sonho, ele saiu para a região da Galiléia,

Y oyendo que Archelao reinaba en Judea en lugar de Herodes su padre, temió ir allá: mas amonestado por revelación en sueños, se fué á las partes de Galilea.

But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:

But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in the place of his father, Herod, he was afraid to go there. Being warned in a dream, he withdrew into the region of Galilee,

e foi viver em uma cidade chamada Nazaré. Cumpriu-se o que disseram os profetas, que ele se chamaria o Nazareno.

Y vino, y habitó en la ciudad que se llama Nazaret: para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por los profetas, que había de ser llamado Nazareno.

And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

and came and lived in a city called Nazareth; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophets that he will be called a Nazarene.
