Als {aber} Jesus geboren worden war in Betlehem in Judäa (im jüdäischen Betlehem) in den Tagen des Königs Herodes, siehe, da kamen Magier von (aus dem) Osten (vom Sonnenaufgang her) nach Jerusalem

Y COMO fué nacido Jesús en Bethlehem de Judea en días del rey Herodes, he aquí unos magos vinieron del oriente á Jerusalem,

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

†und sagten: Wo ist der neugeborene König der Juden? Wir haben nämlich im Osten seinen Stern gesehen und sind gekommen, ihn anzubeten (ihm zu huldigen, uns ihm zu unterwerfen, seinen Kleidersaum berühren).

Diciendo: ¿Dónde está el Rey de los Judíos, que ha nacido? porque su estrella hemos visto en el oriente, y venimos á adorarle.

Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

“Where is he who is born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship him.”

Als {aber} der König Herodes das hörte, geriet er in Verwirrung (erschrak er) und die ganze †Stadt Jerusalem (die Bewohner Jerusalems) mit ihm

Y oyendo esto el rey Herodes, se turbó, y toda Jerusalem con él.

When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

und er versammelte all die Hohenpriester und Schriftgelehrten (theologische Lehrer, Ausleger des Gesetzes) des Volks †und erkundigte sich (brachte durch Erfragen in Erfahrung) bei ihnen, wo der Christus geboren werde.

Y convocados todos los príncipes de los sacerdotes, y los escribas del pueblo, les preguntó dónde había de nacer el Cristo.

And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

Sie {aber} sagten ihm: „In Bethlehem in Judäa. Folgendermaßen ist es nämlich aufgeschrieben mittels eines Propheten:

Y ellos le dijeron: En Bethlehem de Judea; porque así está escrito por el profeta:

And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

They said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for this is written through the prophet,

»Und du, Bethlehem, im Land Juda, bist keineswegs unbedeutend unter den Stammesführern in Juda. Aus dir {nämlich} wird ein Führender ausgehen, der mein Volk Israel weiden wird.«“

Y tú, Bethlehem, de tierra de Judá, no eres muy pequeña entre los príncipes de Judá; porque de ti saldrá un guiador, que apacentará á mi pueblo Israel.

And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

‘You Bethlehem, land of Judah, are in no way least among the princes of Judah; for out of you shall come a governor who shall shepherd my people, Israel.’”

Daraufhin rief Herodes die Magier heimlich †zu sich und ließ sich von ihnen akribisch genau den Zeitraum der Sichtbarkeit des Sterns mitteilen.

Entonces Herodes, llamando en secreto á los magos, entendió de ellos diligentemente el tiempo del aparecimiento de la estrella;

Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

Und als er sie nach Bethlehem schickte, sagte er: „Reist (geht) †dorthin und forscht akribisch genau über das Kind nach. Wenn ihr dann ({aber}) fündig geworden seid, berichtet mir †davon (vermeldet es mir), damit auch ich komme und es fußfällig verehre.“

Y enviándolos á Bethlehem, dijo: Andad allá, y preguntad con diligencia por el niño; y después que le hallareis, hacédmelo saber, para que yo también vaya y le adore.

And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

Als sie {aber} den König gehört hatten, gingen sie, und siehe, der Stern, den sie im Aufgang (Osten, Morgenland) kannten, ging ihnen voran, {und} während er ankam, stellte er sich auf dort, wo das Kind war.

Y ellos, habiendo oído al rey, se fueron: y he aquí la estrella que habían visto en el oriente, iba delante de ellos, hasta que llegando, se puso sobre donde estaba el niño.

When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

Als sie {aber} den Stern erblickten, freuten sie sich eine sehr große Freude (sie wurden von einer sehr großen Freude erfüllt).

Y vista la estrella, se regocijaron con muy grande gozo.

Und als sie in das Haus gingen, erkannten sie das Kind mit seiner Mutter Maria und, niederfallend, beteten sie es an, und als sie ihren Schatz (Schatzbehälter) öffneten, brachten (darbringen, herzubringen, hinbringen, überreichen, geben) sie ihm Geschenke (Opfergaben) dar, Gold und Weihrauch und Myrrhe.

Y entrando en la casa, vieron al niño con su madre María, y postrándose, le adoraron; y abriendo sus tesoros, le ofrecieron dones, oro é incienso y mirra.

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Und gemäß (in) einem Traum wurde ihnen befohlen, nicht zu Herodes zurückzukehren, durch einen anderen Weg kehrten sie in ihr Land zurück.

Y siendo avisados por revelación en sueños que no volviesen á Herodes, se volvieron á su tierra por otro camino.

And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

Being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they went back to their own country another way.

Als sie aber weggingen {siehe} ein Engel des Herrn erschien gemäß (in) einem Traum dem Josef und sagte: Steh auf, nimm das Kind und seine Mutter mit und fliehe nach Ägypten und bleibe dort, bis ich dir sage! Denn Herodes beabsichtigt, dass Kind suchen zu lassen (und) es zu töten.

Y partidos ellos, he aquí el ángel del Señor aparece en sueños á José, diciendo: Levántate, y toma al niño y á su madre, y huye á Egipto, y estáte allá hasta que yo te lo diga; porque ha de acontecer, que Herodes buscará al niño para matarlo.

And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

Und als er aufstand nahm er das Kind und seine Mutter des Nachts(zur Nachtzeit) mit sich und ging weg (entfernte sich) nach Ägypten.

Y él despertando, tomó al niño y á su madre de noche, y se fué á Egipto;

When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

Und er blieb dort bis zum Tode des Herodes; Auf daß vollendet würde was gesagt wurde vom Herrn durch den Propheten, der sagt: „Aus Ägypten rief(berief) ich meinen Sohn.“

Y estuvo allá hasta la muerte de Herodes: para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el Señor, por el profeta que dijo: De Egipto llamé á mi Hijo.

And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Zu der Zeit, als Herodes verstand, dass er hintergangen(getäuscht) wurde von den Magiern wurde er sehr Zornig und indem er aussandte(aussendend) tötete(vernichtete, beseitigte) er alle der Kinder in Betlehem und in {jedem seinem Gebiet}(seiner ganzen Umgebung) bis zu zwei Jahren und darunter(weniger an Alter), gemäß der Zeit, nach der er sich genau von den Magiern erkundigt hatte.

Herodes entonces, como se vió burlado de los magos, se enojó mucho, y envió, y mató á todos los niños que había en Bethlehem y en todos sus términos, de edad de dos años abajo, conforme al tiempo que había entendido de los magos.

Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.

Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked by the wise men, was exceedingly angry, and sent out and killed all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all the surrounding countryside, from two years old and under, according to the exact time which he had learned from the wise men.

Damals (darauf) erfüllte sich, was gesagt wurde durch Jeremia den Propheten, der da sagt:

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,

Then that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying,

Geschrei (Rufe) sind gehört worden in Rama, Weinen und viel(heftiges, lautes) Klagen(Wehklagen); Rahel beweint ihre Kinder, und nicht mag (will) sie sich trösten lassen denn sie sind nicht mehr da.

Voz fué oída en Ramá, grande lamentación, lloro y gemido: Rachêl que llora sus hijos; y no quiso ser consolada, porque perecieron.

In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

“A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children; she wouldn’t be comforted, because they are no more.”

Als aber Herodes (starb)ein Ende nahm, siehe, ein Engel des Herrn erschien im Traum dem Josef in Ägypten

Mas muerto Herodes, he aquí el ángel del Señor aparece en sueños á José en Egipto,

But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

der sagte: Steh auf, nimm das Kind und seine Mutter und gehe in das Land Israel; denn es ist tot, der dem Kind nach dem Leben trachtet

Diciendo: Levántate, y toma al niño y á su madre, y vete á tierra de Israel; que muertos son los que procuraban la muerte del niño.

Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child’s life.

“Arise and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel, for those who sought the young child’s life are dead.”

Er (aber) stand auf, nahm das Kind und seine Mutter und ging in das Land Israel.

Entonces él se levantó, y tomó al niño y á su madre, y se vino á tierra de Israel.

And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.

Hörend aber(Als er aber hörte), dass Archelaus König {ist} war der Juden statt(anstelle) seines Vaters Herodes, hatte er Angst dort hinzugehen; Da ihm im eine Weisung gegeben wurde {aber} im Traum ging er in das Gebiet Galliläas

Y oyendo que Archelao reinaba en Judea en lugar de Herodes su padre, temió ir allá: mas amonestado por revelación en sueños, se fué á las partes de Galilea.

But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:

But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in the place of his father, Herod, he was afraid to go there. Being warned in a dream, he withdrew into the region of Galilee,

und als er kam lies er sich nieder in einer Stadt die genannt wurde(namens) Nazareth; dass(damit) vollendet wurde, was gesagt wurde durch die Propheten: „Er wird Nazarener(aus Nazareth) genannt werden“.

Y vino, y habitó en la ciudad que se llama Nazaret: para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por los profetas, que había de ser llamado Nazareno.

And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

and came and lived in a city called Nazareth; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophets that he will be called a Nazarene.
