Ce peuple, assis dans les ténèbres, A vu une grande lumière; Et sur ceux qui étaient assis dans la région et l’ombre de la mort La lumière s’est levée.

El pueblo asentado en tinieblas, vió gran luz; y á los sentados en región y sombra de muerte, luz les esclareció.

The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
